⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ …Suspenseful to to the very last page. One of my new favorites. Secrets lead to lies and lies to murder in this pulse-pounding mystery with lots of shocking twists. International Bestselling Seies. "Lawrence Kelter is an exciting new novelist, who reminds me of an early Robert Ludlum. —Nelson DeMille

"Kelter is a master, pure and simple."
—The Kindle Book Review “Chalice’s acerbic repartee is like an arsenal of nuclear missiles.” —BookWire Review Chalice and Mather, two brave cops, attempt to return to active duty after their lives have been turned upside down by catastrophic events. Their boss tosses the newly paired team a slow-roller, giving them time to warm up to one another, a case that quickly and unexpectedly transforms into something much bigger. All of the assumptions they made at the onset are quickly proven false. What starts out as a homicide quickly blossoms into an international manhunt. There’s far more at stake than meets the eye, and what they don’t know could most certainly cost them their lives.

Enter Chalice , a former cop who is on involuntary and uncertain leave frm the police dept due to a head injury. Now enter Mather who is severely damaged goods due to a traumatic home invasion and now put them together as partners!!! Their boss Ambler tells them people are taking bets on long they will last and/or screw up and gives them an open and shut case to start off with.
Only problem is it does not end up being all that simple a case at all and the partners have to let go off their individual baggage to work together. It is funny and the partners' mothers are comedic in their own right. The case itself takes turns the reader does not expect and the 2 partners take it all in stride Thank you Mr Kelter!

The most delightful book I read in the recent past!!!

Two female FBI agents recovering from different kinds of trauma are paired together to deal with a case considered as a simple case so that they get to know each other!

How Stephanie Chalice and Chloe come close to one another and form close bonds while trying to solve a murder mystery with a background of steroid and peptide manufacture, people responsible for the criminal acts and bringing down the cartel responsible for heinous actions form the content of this brilliant book!

The plot and narrative are exquisite, the characters are lovely and endearing and the book is unputdownable without finishing it!!!

Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable reading experience, Lawrence!!

Nonstop action

Mather and Chalice: two broken women in the FBI are teamed up on throwaway case to get them back into the swing of things. A simple case goes haywire and turns into the case of the century.
Totally believable. And Chalice’s ever present horniness for her husband lends a good laugh.

Two broken women are now partners, with the FBI. Their boss Ambler, tells them they are the walking wounded, and everyone he talked to, to get them their job. The bets were they would crash and burn. A new author, and a delightful find. Who doesn’t want to read of how two tough determined women want to serve man kind. A definite good plot, the characters of Mather and Chalice together is a winner..

A bit slow to start with, but with a bang up finish. The jerk they collared really deserved worse than he got. You’ll not believe the ending. What a good ending
