Welcome to Compton California, the home to some of the most ruthless gangsters where everybody has a little thug in them.
Papoose, who's known for his good looks, his Compton swag, and love for his family, was missing one thing; the Bonnie to his Clyde. Growing up on the side where the color 'red' held an impact on his life, being loyal to the only way he knew how to live never stopped him from getting what he wanted, and it was no different when he met Thai by default.
Thai lived on the West Coast with the only person who held the other half of her heart; her brother Tyrone. She'd always been strong minded and held everything down until her favorite cousin gets killed by some thugs, while hanging out with her at the wrong place and time. She suffered greatly behind the lost until she met Papoose and gave him a shot.
Papoose wanted to love Thai, but if he told her his secret he knew she'd be gone. Thai fell hard for Papoose while hiding her own secrets that she knew for sure would get her killed if she ever told him the truth. Meanwhile, Thai's brother Tyrone, who's life is impacted by the color 'blue' wasn't having any of the bullshit, he didn't fuck with the other side. It was simply the code of the streets.
When secrets unfold could love conquer all? When Papoose finds out Thai's secret will a price be put on her head, or will his love prevail? Can the code of the bloods and crips come to a common ground when love was involved? It all goes down on the streets of LA.

First and foremost I must give a honor to God help me I feel like ive been to church up in this book here..... The story is very clear it has a full meaning of love no matter what side you choose love conquers all brilliant brilliant brilliant my sister wrote this book down I'm looking for top-notch number one position because this was definitely...fyahhhhhhhhhh.... Papoose a blood with Love so hot on his mind when he meets Thai.... I visually saw the sparks flying in his book the attraction the courtship the meaning of the Sister Wives I lived that life so I know exactly how that right there GO.....True love always the strongest to survive ....I know all about that....STORYLINE is masterfully crafted to make you think feel and experience love at its best shugar if you really know the truth about love and more to loyalty then love who runs out in the name of love a brother who happens to be a crip and the archenemy to the blood who his sista has fallin the final revelation their lives forth by love outshined anything else out freaking standing sista not a word could be changed I shout out to RO the big HO.....lol
This book was really good! 2 brothers loving their sisters. 2 people with a secret that could tear them apart. I loved how Thai was always laid back and confident. Thanks to the author for not making her "light skin with a flat stomach, huge ass, huge tits, and flat stomach" that is the norm in urban books. I kind of felt bad for Toy.....kind of. Also, it ended perfectly so no part 2 is needed.
This is a great read. P was the man. I loved the way he treated his sister they had a great relationship. I understand the love Thia and her brother had. I don't know how feel about Toy yet she was just dumb and Ro I have nothing to say about her. I don't want to give to much of the story away but If you haven't read this you not read to it's a great story
All the gang stuff was annoying I couldn’t get into this one for anything. What took the cake was when Papoose made it to Ro house and pulled all that hardness out. Ha! What a joke, Over it!
Utterly speechless, S. Yvonne did not disappoint, when I tell you this story line was phenomenal. It touched on a variety of different subjects from gangs, killings, rapes, going against family and more. I was hooked from the very first chapter. Papoose is a typical piru that’ll go out of his way for the people he loves, and throughout this book I saw that a lot. Thai is a lady who carries herself with respect, and is her brother’s keeper. As the saying goes opposites attract, and when Thai, and Papoose meets it’s like a fatal attraction because lies played a big part of their union, and things surely hit the fan when the truth was revealed. Papoose and his sister wives had me cracking up, and Thai just nicely putting females in check. The way Toy handle things, and treated Lanea had me upset she let her actions speak more than her words. Who would have thought a female would get two rival gang members to see the bigger picture of things, that there’s more in life than the streets. This book is eye opening, and a must read.
This was a good read. I had to get used to the west coast lingo and dialect but the editing was flawless. I didn't really know how is was going to play out for Thai being that she was going to have to choose a side but she handled it like a g. Now the sister wives was just a bit much but Pap stood his ground and was up front. You either get down with the get down or you get gone. Just goes to show that communication trust honesty and respect can carry you farther in life.
This is a thug love story at it's best. I loved the way that Papoose and Tyrone came from opposites sides of town and hated each other because of their gang affiliations, but put their differences aside all for the love of Thai. The story touches on reality with the gangs, drive-bys, rape, murder, drugs etc. I hate that Meechie got caught in the crossfire, but it wasa great example of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hate that Linea's innocence was taken, but it happens everyday. I can't believe Papoose had Thai and Toy living together as sister wives. That part had me cracking up. This book is a must read.
This was very good. I wasn't sure of the out come. I loved how Papoose stepped up to take care of his sister. Thai was good for him and Lanea. She needed a positive female in her life. I'm glad that Papoose and Tyrone put their differences to the side for Thai. Job well done.
Protection and love is what you will see in this book. I was not disappointed with this book. All I could say was wow while reading Thai and how she carried herself. The reality you see in this book is real. The words were visible and did I mention realistic. The secrets, lies, deceit, love, and drama was on key. S. Yvonne had a constant flow throughout the book. There wasn’t any out of the box, misunderstood situations. The characters were not high-end. Thai was the one with all the love. Papoose just wanted to show love and get it in return.
Yasssss!! Dat part!! This story was based in LA. The author gave us insights to the city. There was some sad parts in the book but hey... It was also based on the different set of gangster. Loves conquers all. I hated that Lanea went through that ordeal but that Rico got just what he needed. Big Shout out to Toy and Ro for being but holes throughout the whole book. It was great that Tyrone and Papoose could put their difference aside for Thai!!!
You can't control who your heart wants. Thai and Papoose are from two different worlds but yet the same in so many ways. Papoose already in a relationship has to decide once and for all which one of the sister wives he really loves and want to be with. Thai has to decide if she rocking with her brother or rolling with her man. One click and enjoy this book. It definitely will keep you entertained.
I have to say Thai , Papoose, Tyrone, Toy, and Ro had me laughing, crying, just dying at their dialog. Lanes for her to be a teenager was very wise beyond her years. I'm glad that Thai and Papoose was able to overcome all the lies, deceit too come together and be a couple. This story was so good and so vivid that you could believe this was a true story. You need to get this book right now...
Girl you have did it again. 5 stars all the way. I loved every minute of it. I love reading books that make u forget it's a book and U feel like you're watching a movie. Keep grinding baby girl, you're gifted
This book was soooooo good! That Papoose was something else. Thai had him changing his ways without ever giving it up. I loved their relationship and I'm glad he let Toy go. I hated what happened to Lanea but I'm glad she didn't let it stop her life and she learned from her mistake. If you haven't one clicked this do it now!
Great Read with a happy ending. Even though Thai and Papoose both had their secrets. And their secrets were revealed. Their love for one another was strong enough to get pass the secrets. And I loved the fact that Papoose and Tyrone look passed their differences for the love of Thai. Loved it!!
It was ok, not great. I'm just happy they agreed to get along for Thai's sake. There were editing mistakes that I noticed so that played a part in my rating. It ended well, no need for other parts which is good.
I really enjoyed this story. Thai is probably one of my favorite female leads. This book was edited really well. I can't think of one error. I liked that this story was based in California. Good story.
I like this book, Papoose is everything and I love his relationship with his sister...I'm glad Thai came in the picture and now Toy fake ass is gone and I hope it stays that way. Hope Tyrone and Papoose will continue to stay neutral with each other for Thai.
Her brother is a crip and her lover is a blood, they have hate for each other because they are from different gangs but they both love her so they call a truce between them
