Worth a read unless you're already headlining international festivals, I think. A decent "getting your feet wet" guide for newbies, answering a lot of basic questions, and for sure this is aimed largely at that crowd; to that end, Morse spends significant time explaining some real basic stuff that I think is beneficial, whereas trying to learn that stuff "in the wild," so to speak, could result in either some embarrassing problems or in being mocked by people you ask. There are a few suggestions in here that I think are really great even for the more experienced crowd, though, even if much of it will be a retread for that audience.

If you like me are entering the vast world of DJing you just can't miss this book! It's such an easy read and at the same time it's fully packed with great advise from the first to the last page.

The writing style also deserves a special mention: it's down-to-earth from beginning to end, no reiteration of the same concepts nor fancy catchy phrasing that you might expect from something with "DJing" in it. Quite the opposite! The author, Phil Morse, is really serious about communicating what truly matters and his passion and experience gently transpires from every chapter without ever sounding pretentious nor inaccurate.

I also never got the impression that something was exaggerated nor driven by marketing reasons (he is the founder of https://www.digitaldjtips.com/ but there's just a mention of it at the very end of the book which is more than fair given that I got the ebook for free when I subscribed to their newsletter).

If you're even just remotely interested in the art of DJing this is a must read.

Perfect for someone just starting out or one who has the DJ know-how but is looking to get out there and perform now. He outlines everything step by step from the basics of how to build your playlists all the way to promoting yourself to perform at various types of gigs. Every question really was answered here, and I got great pointers to become a well organized and fundamental DJ.

Great book for beginning and experienced DJs

As an old school DJ from the vinyl days that has been transitioning through to DVS and now using a controller,, I found this book to have some good insights,, and think it will be a great resource for new and up and coming DJs.

Este no es un libro sobre técnicas de DJ, más que nada trata holísticamente el proceso de ser y trabajar como DJ.
