Rate this book
A mother. A daughter. One horrific disease. A lifetime of shared culinary experiences.

This three-essay collection is a look at Alzheimer's disease through the lens of food and How we survive the loss of someone we can't live without, and how something as simple as dessert can keep memories vivid and alive. These are bite-sized, true stories of love, grief, and cheesecake. Lots and lots of cheesecake.

Proceeds from all purchases made before Nov. 12, 2016, will be donated during the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Los Angeles, which benefits the Alzheimer's Association.

Three lovely essays on food, memory, and loss. Maggie Downs brings her signature wit and perspective to these moments when grief and food intersect. This ebook includes two previously published essays and one new piece, "Cheesecake." Memory Bites is a worthwhile tribute to a life ended early, and an easy way to support Alzheimer's research. (Downs is donating all proceeds from the ebook sale from now until November 12, 2016 to the Walk to End Alzheimer's.)
