A runaway dragon princess who wants to experience life outside of castle walls + an ex-gangster werewolf bodyguard with a chip on his shoulder the size of Texas + uptown parties, downtown nightclubs, and deadly assassins = one action-packed good girl/bad boy romance!
Dragon princess Raluca, desperate to escape her pampered but suffocating life, renounced her title and fled her country. Now the sheltered princess wants to experience life as a free woman, from underground music clubs to neighborhood diners. Even highways and hamburgers are new and exciting to her. There’s just one problem: someone’s trying to kill her.
Werewolf bodyguard Nick Mackenzie thought he'd put his past behind him when he left his position as the alpha of a criminal werewolf gang, and joined the team of misfit shifters at Protection, Inc., an all-shifter private security agency. But if there’s one thing he still can’t stand, it’s rich people who don’t know the streets from a hole in the ground. And if there’s one place he’ll never fit in, it’s high society. But when Nick is assigned to protect Raluca from mysterious assassins — and show her how the other half lives while he's at it — the uptown girl and downtown guy are shocked to discover that they not only have explosive chemistry together, they’re destined mates!
When a dragon princess must be guarded by a werewolf ex-gangster, both are dragged way out of their comfort zones. Can Raluca learn to get down-and-dirty? Can Nick make it through a single sentence without dropping an f-bomb? And can two mates who couldn’t be more different find a way to make it work before the pasts they tried to bury come to very deadly life?
Warrior Wolf is a sizzling hot, standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhangers!
Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
Normally I would give you a brief highlight of the story before diving into my own experience with the book, yet this time the Cover Description does a good job of that so I can more on to the emotional parts.
And Warrior Wolf is an emotional story. On the surface you see a pampered princess who has given up her throne and country, and a very bad boy from the totally wrong side of the tracks. Neither could be more opposite of the other – and never, ever trust the surface of any person until you know them a bit more in depth… for these two are far, far from what their surface story portrays.
The last we saw of Raluca was a spectacular dive from her balcony with only the clothes on her back, and her hoard safely clutched in her talons. Her uncle had tried to force an arranged marriage on her and Lucas for his own nefarious reasons. Now her wicked uncle was safely guarded in a dungeon, Lucas was happy with his true mate and Raluca was finally free of the life she no longer wanted any part of. Unfortunately, that life wasn’t done with her as assassins made an attempt on her life. She knew of only one person who understood her situation and might be able to protect her. So again with her hoard safely guarded, she made the flight to California and Lucas at Protection, Inc.
Raluca needed protection, and since Lucas was on assignment she’d have to trust Hal to provide another bodyguard. She never, ever expected that man to be her fated mate – or for him to seem to hate her on sight.
Watching Nick and Raluca dance around each other at the beginning of Warrior Wolf was delightfully amusing. Each believed they knew what the other thought of them and set out to completely annoy, even humiliate each other in a fierce competition of getting the upper hand. Yeah, that whole assume thing didn’t work out too well for them.
It was when danger struck that we begin to see the truth of these two people from completely different cultures come to light. This part of their story was so well done, yet so easy to let slip past you. When you do not understand the nuances of a different culture, or ethnic background it is so easy, unfortunately,, to make mistakes, even insult someone without that intent. That is what happened between Nick and Raluca, seemingly innocent comments taken the wrong way can cause such trouble.
Nick’s story is simply heartbreaking. It is also at the core of why he is as he appears today. Until he was able to pour out that anger, sadness and rage to his mate he had no chance of ever getting past it. On many levels, they healed each other in order to move on together.
And our mysterious stranger made a surprising brief appearance. I was so glad to see him – and if you’ve read the entire series so far you know who “he” is but I’m not going to spoil it for anyone. I am waiting for his story with high anticipation. But, he’s closer now and that’s a very good thing.
Warrior Wolf has so many good things going for it that I could not help but fall in love with Nick and Raluca’s romance. Old friends, action packed, heartbreaking, heartwarming and a love that is perfect for these two people. I loved this story and would highly recommend it to any Shifter Romance reader – the entire series is definitely worth your time and emotional involvement.
I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. For ten dollars a month you get access to thousands of really great stories across all genre, and the authors get paid for you reading the story through to the 100% mark. It’s a win-win. Probably the best 10 bucks I spend a month.
Opposites attract in the fourth Protection, Inc. book, where ex-gangster wolf shifter bodyguard Nick Mackenzie is assigned to guard ex-princess dragon shifter Raluca (no last name, since she's royalty) from unknown assassins. Despite their differences, they're actually fated mates, and once they've met, nothing can keep them apart.
This book is off balance, with the suspense/assassination part of the plot taking the backseat to the romance part of the plot. Also, the author really tries to push the culture clash/miscommunications/class difference thing to an extreme level (from hardcore rap to oyster forks). It's still good, but not quite up to the standards set in the first three books of the series.

Warrior Wolf is a sizzling hot, standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhangers!
This is one great example of opposites attract. Nick has a sad past that has made him an angry wolf and when he meets his mate he doesn't know what to do with her except antagonize her. Raluca has finally started living on her own two feet but she doesn't enjoy it for long since she was attacked. She runs to her friend Lucas at Protectors, Inc. The real fun begins there. This was fun to read and I enjoyed the part where they do things to get each other riled. Very funny. There was also some very sweet parts too.
Awesomeness! We see returning characters from Defender Dragon & Protector Panther. As a result you REALLY need to at least read Defender Dragon to get the full story. I hope the guy finally comes in from the cold & joins the crew. Can't wait for the next title.
ANOTHER FABULOUS ADDITION TO THE SERIES !!! Title: Warrior Wolf Series: Protection, Inc Designation: Book Four of Series, Full-length Standalone Novel, NO Cliffhanger Author: Zoe Chant Reading Platform: Kindle Edition (Kindle Unlimited) My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING STARS***** Wow! Another awesome read from Zoe Chant! I became totally infatuated with Chant's work last year after reading Bodyguard Bear, the first book in her Protection Inc Series and immediately became a fan! I fell head over heels for the concept of this series as well as the large cast of intriguing characters. All of the books are standalone stories featuring a different member of Protection Inc unexpectedly finding their true mate but having to face perilous danger to find their happy-ever-after. All the characters introduced as the employees of Protection Inc along with their respective mates generally make a return appearance in each subsequent release which I believe serves to immerse the reader more fully into the captivating world Chant has created. The characters become our friends and family, and without a doubt, it's one of the things I love most about this series. Chant has continued the thrilling fast-paced adventure with Warrior Wolf, the fourth release of the Protector Inc Series, and she totally knocked this one out of the park! Although each release features a different member of the Protector Inc team and can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading all the books, or at least the first release, Bodyguard Bear, since it introduces the large cast of the Protector Inc security team and also sets up the premise for the entire series. I'm sure it's one decision you'll never regret, and if you enjoy this series half as much as I do, you'll be a fan for life! The story is exciting, thrilling, fast-paced, suspenseful, sweet, heartwarming, romantic, seductive and sexy. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with clearly defined his and her perspectives. My favorite! The dialogue is smart, snappy, entertaining, well executed and flows effortlessly. I'm always impressed with the presentation of Chant's books. They are extremely well-crafted and edited, the formatting is excellent, the covers are stunning and the storylines are always unique as well as original. Chant excels at world building but it's her characters that take center stage in this series. I was immediately smitten with the two protagonists of this story, handsome wolf shifter and former criminal gang member Nick MacKenzie and beautiful dragon shifter Raluca, Crown Princess of Viorel, or I should say former Crown Princess. I was intrigued by Nick's character and his background which was totally different than anything we've seen in this series so far. Nick was a trash-talking bad boy with a confident swagger and a chip the size of Alaska on his shoulder, reminding me so much of James Dean in the movie, Rebel Without A Cause, including the black leather jacket. lol... Thankfully, our rebel Nick found his cause as well as his heart. Sigh...so dreamy. I knew his story would be remarkable and it truly was! And if you think the name Raluca sounds a little familiar, it should. She was introduced in the second book of the series as Lucas' fiancee. Lucas was a dragon shifter also working as a bodyguard for Protection Inc but was actually the Crown Prince of Brandusa until he renounced his throne in order to be with his true mate (which, as it turns out, was not Raluca) and returned to his job as a bodyguard at Protection Inc in the United States. Lucas and Raluca's engagement was the result of a prearranged marriage negotiation to form a beneficial trade alliance between the Brandusa and Viorel nations. If you'd like to know more about Lucas and his true mate Journey, Chant gave us their story in Defender Dragon, Book Two (which was also fabulous, by the way). Fortunately, the serendipitous meeting of Lucas and Journey at Raluca and Lucas' engagement ceremony (talk about bad timing), gave Raluca the courage to finally break free from her controlling Uncle Constantine to pursue her freedom and, hopefully, her happiness as well. All the characters are captivating, intriguing, engaging and endearing, but see what I mean about Chant's skillful world building and character development? The heroes are all handsome, courageous, charismatic alpha males with kind hearts carefully concealed under their strong, gruff exteriors and the heroines are beautiful, intelligent, brave women who possess remarkable strength, courage, loyalty, selflessness, and kindness. No wilting violets among these women! I love it! Chant skillfully combines these elements to craft a delightfully entertaining paranormal tale filled to the brim with heart-pounding danger, spellbinding drama, heart-stopping adventure, spine-tingling suspense, heartbreaking angst and sweet seductive romance. And folks, this book is a full-length novel coming in at 234 pages, the longest book of the series to date! Woo-Hoo! Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Was there anything I didn't like about this book? Not a darn thing! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since there are some steamy dream love scenes. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she publishes the next book in the series! And finally was I entertained? Oh my goodness, YES! Totally Entertained! I was immediately drawn into this story on the first page and held completely spellbound until the very last line. I'm a huge Zoe Chant fan and love everything she writes, but she surpassed my wildest expectations with the vividly depicted scene descriptions and character development in this book. Personally, I think this may be her best work to date. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Raluca, Crown Princess of Viorel, was finally free of the suffocating hold of her Uncle Constantine. He had tried to force her into a loveless marriage with Lucas, the former Crown Prince of Brandusa to secure an alliance between their two nations thereby ensuring a profitable trade treaty which would serve to line his own pockets. He'd even tried to murder Journey Jacobson, Lucas' true mate. Fortunately, he'd failed and was now imprisoned in the dungeon of Brandusa. Raluca had immediately renounced her title as Crown Princess of Viorel and fled with only the clothes on her back and, of course, her hoard. She'd sold the diamond her uncle had given her in order to have money to live on, which she really needed because she was now running for her life. Apparently, someone wanted her dead and had sent an assassin to kill her. She had lived her entire life repressed by the will of her Uncle Constantine with him controlling her every action. She was finally free to do what she wanted, but sadly, it only took her only a week to realize she had no earthly idea where to go or what to do with her life. She was completely alone with no one to whom she could turn for help. And she definitely needed help trying to discover who was trying to kill her. Obviously, since the assassin had known she was a dragon shifter, it had to be someone in the line of succession to the throne of Viorel who wanted her dead to ensure she could not change her mind and try to reclaim the throne, and that was a very long list. She may not have any idea what she wanted to do with her life but she definitely knew she wanted one...she very much wanted the opportunity to live a full life and hoped to one day find happiness as Lucas had with his mate. Raluca was a princess and had no idea how to fight or defend herself. Yes, she needed help...maybe even a bodyguard. And fortunately for her, she's already acquainted with one. She and Lucas may no longer be engaged but she'd like to think they were at least still friends. Hopefully, he would help her...or maybe one of the other bodyguards from Protection Inc. It would be a simple matter to look up the address on the internet and fly to America. Unfortunately, her plan hit a bit of a snag when she arrived at the offices of Protection Inc in Santa Martina to discover Lucas was out of the country on assignment. Hal Brennan, the owner of Protection Inc, assured her he had a full staff of well-trained shifter operatives who were more than capable of protecting her; all she has to do is pick one from the photographs. And wouldn't you just know, her dragon immediately struck a fancy to the handsome trash-talking bad boy wolf shifter Nick MacKenzie. MINE! Talk about polar opposites! The very refined and proper former princess and the swaggering bad boy who dropped the f-bomb at least once in every sentence. Oh my! We all know the heart wants what the heart wants and fate can never be denied, but will Nick and Raluca be able to outsmart both their enemies and live to find their happy ending (that is if they don't kill each other first)? lol... We'll see! Buckle up and get ready for some explosive fireworks, folks! It's a wild ride with these two characters!
Raluca is a runaway dragon princess who gave up her throne but someone still wants her dead. So she goes to America to get to Protection, Inc where she knows Lucas, the dragon with whom she'd had an arranged engagement works. She's arranging for a bodyguard when she meets wolf shifter and ex-gangster, Nick Mackenzie, who happens to be her mate. Can the two of them get beyond their pasts and come together all while keeping Raluca alive?
This was a fabulous read and I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Raluca renounced her birthright as a princess in a dramatic fashion, by leaping off a balcony and shapeshifting into her dragon form, to fly off (with her dragon hoard of jewels) to a new life where she gets to call the shots. But she still has the skills, and standards, drilled into her since childhood. She loves fine clothes, fine food, and gracious manners.
Nick renounced his old gang and his life of crime while at the same time renouncing ties to his wolf pack, only to recognize that Protection, Inc., a bodyguard business made up entirely of shapeshifters and their mates, is his new pack. He still carries his rough habits form his old life: the leather jacket, the tattoos, the f-bombs.
When Raluca comes to Protection, Inc., seeking a bodyguard to keep her safe from an assassin, she meets Nick, and when the two meet each others' gaze, they realize they have met their mates. Now how can two such complete opposites, each convinced the other despises them yet also deeply in love - and lust, find a way to work together to keep the assassin at bay? So much is at stake with this one.
I love the Protection, Inc. series. What you get is what's on the cover: a love story, with lots of action, between strong and interesting characters. Each member of Protection, Inc., gets their own book, so you get a chance to find out what makes each member tick, so the background characters are just as interesting as the main ones. But the love - and lust - stories are strong, fast-paced, and involve shape shifters. What's not to love?
Raluca, a Dragon shifter renounced her title as crown princess of Viorel yet there were people still out to kill her. She wanted a chance at a normal life and she wasn't about to let some no face killer take that chance away from her.
She fled when her traitorous uncle Constantine tried to marry her off to a man she didn't love for his own personal gain. The man even went as far as trying to kill her fiancé's Lucas' true mate, Journey whom we met in DEFENDER DRAGON.
Reluca wasn't happy despite renouncing her crown, when someone tried to kill her while she slept. She needed help so she turned to the one person she knew would be able to help.
Lucas was on an overseas assignment so his boss Hall Brennan from BODYGUARD BEAR assigned Nick to protect Reluca after the latter told him what had happened to her and she chose him.
Nick MacKenzie, a wolf shifter, former criminal and now operative of Protection, Inc. he found hos mate when he least expected it. She was a client and Lucas' ex-fiancée, their first encounter was a very interesting one.
They both realized that they were each other's mates, that piece of knowledge shocked them to their cores. Well at least their human sides were cause their animal sides were rejoicing, they'd finally found their other halves.
Nick and his Wolf were butting heads cause the human side thought that Reluca didn't want when it was the contrary. The woman wanted Nick more than he could imagine, as they got to know each other, Nick came to understand that he and Reluca had a lot in common.
Reluca's life was put in danger and it hit Nick hard that he nearly lost her before he had a chance to tell her how he felt. When all the misunderstandings were cleared up between the mates, they find out who was behind the murder attempts against Reluca.
Both their pasts cane back to haunt them, Nick and Reluca battles their enemies together along with their friends. In the end they both found the place where they needed to be.
WARRIOR WOLF is the fourth installment in Zoe Chant's PROTECTION, INC. series, this book was beautifully executed. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
I'm glad it got better. I was initially going to stop reading at 29%. I could not relate to the Princess at all. In fact, I did not understand how balls, clubbing and shopping worked for someone who was fleeing an assassin. It was just ridiculous. If it wasn't for Nick, I would have abandoned this book. The characters were very well developed and the writing was very good. In fact, I think I may read another book by this author. I do enjoy exciting scenes that are so visual. Which is exactly how I viewed the fighting scenes. Exciting! I did find the story boring and slow in places. Took me two days to finish such a short book. I kept getting so distracted. Thank goodness for Nick. I did not understand how a werewolf could not heal himself. That was puzzling. But other than that, I totally believed his character, as well as the others on his team and pack. I just found the Princess unbelievable. I guess the author had to creat the most spoiled, obnoxiously rich sheltered character she could come up with. I just didn't care for her initially. I am glad I completed the story. She got much better towards the end. Finally growing and wanting to create something for herself. That I did like. Enjoy.
Another great one Zoe Chant. Here is a highlight from the book!!!! ENJOY💜💜💜💜
Raluca wanted to tell him how clever he was, but before she could, he reared up above her. Their bound wrists were already pressed into the mattress above their heads, but Nick moved her other hand there as well, and pinned it with his own. “Love you,” he whispered. “My dragon.” Raluca’s heart was too full to reply. After all those terrible moments when she’d thought he was dead or they were both about to die, she finally felt in her heart and soul and body that they had triumphed over death, and were reclaiming their lives and love. Nick bent to kiss her, his mouth hot and hungry. She surged up against him, needy and desperate with desire. He slid into her like a key into a lock. She gasped into his mouth, shuddering with the intensity of the sensation. Each thrust rubbed against her sensitive pearl, and each movement of his body pushed their silver-bound wrists against the sheets. Nick was panting and flushed, his eyes brilliant and intent, his black hair disheveled. He’dnever looked so handsome. The silver dragon glittered on his strong left arm, the one he’d used to save her with. He’d used his entire body to save her. She was as overwhelmed with love as she was with pleasure. “I love you, Nick,” she gasped. He gripped her hands tight as he came inside of her. Then her own climax broke over her, shaking her body with burst after burst of pleasure. But even more than the physical delight, Raluca felt deep in her soul that she and Nick were one, bound heart to heart. Forever. They held each other close, enjoying the afterglow. The silver had warmed against their bodies to the temperature of their skin. Raluca gave her wrist a little tug, smiling to feel his arm move as well. Nick tugged back. “That was a fucking amazing idea of yours. You’re just as wild as me, you know that?” “I do now,” Raluca said. “You set that part of me free.” Nick slowly unwound the chain, taking his time and kissing her fingers, until their wrists were freed. He let it dangle from his hand and twist in the air currents. “Next time it’s yours. Surprise me.” Raluca smiled. “I will.” Nick got up and put it back in the safe that held her hoard. Then he stretched, interlacing his fingers above his head, displaying his fine musculature.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Warrior Wolf. It's book #4 in the Protection Inc. series by Zoe Chant and is every bit as good as the previous books in the series. This one features Nick, the badass former alpha of a criminal werewolf gang turned good guy body guard as the hero. The heroine is Raluca, former princess, former fiancee in an arranged political marriage to Lucas (book #2), & dragon shifter who is attempting to figure out who she is as a person after abdicating her throne. Raluca had been traveling the world after a lifetime of being stifled by the duties of the crown princess. After the drama surrounding her arranged marriage and her uncle attempting to murder Lucas' mate Journey and her subsequent abdication of the throne, Raluca took a flying leap off a balconey, grabbed her hoard from home, and took off to see the world and be free for the first time in her life. Unfortunately for her, it seems the drama that had surrounded her, wasnt quite ready to give up after all. After barely escaping from an assination attempt in the bedroom of her hotel room, she goes to the only place she can think of for help. Protection Inc. and her former fiancee and friend, Lucas. What follows is the awesome story of how she and Nick discover that they are indeed mates, no matter how very, very different they are. After misunderstandings nearly ruin their relationship before it even has a chance to begin, they will have to learn how to communicate and move past the demons of their pasts, all while dodging assassination attempts. This story has loads of shifter action, love, humor and lots of very steamy scenes between two very hot shifters. Definitely a must read, but you should absolutely read the first three books in the series first, in order to gain some much needed back story and to be well acquainted with all the characters.
This is a great series and I've read all the books in it but wow I absolutely loved everything about this one and I definitely think its now my favourite of this series!!!! It was so fantastic to see the leading lady as an equally strong shifter as her mate. Raluca being a Dragon, even a royal one, had all the inherent strength a Dragon has, even if she was a "pampered" royal and didn't have fighting skills as such, she was still courageous and brave. Her life wasn't easy as a royal and as soon as she could, she escaped that life to find one for herself. Which brings her to Protection Inc and her mate Nick. Nick is F@%King fabulous!!!! (he loves a god f bomb) and even though he and Raluca have numerous misunderstandings, they are perfect for one another. Nick isn't intimidated by her Dragon and the chemistry they have is off the charts!!! Nick also had a troubled past, becoming apha to a wolf pack gang but he certainly overcomes it all and is a perfect at Protection Inc, it was great that we got his back history, it certainly explained why he was the way he was. I loved both the Wolf mating words and the significance of drinking from your mates hands and what that signifies. As we know most Dragons have a hoard and Raluca is no different, what came as a surprise was how comfortable the alpha Nick was when Raluca wanted to bedeck her mate with some of her hoard!!! It was fabulously done. He was totally swoon worthy. We again get to see all the previous Protection Inc couple and the remaining unmated shifters. Really looking forward to picking up the next one in the series!! Overall a fabulous read that I couldn't put down.
Raluca used to be a Princess & yes, she was the Princess that Lucas had been engaged to. After she renounced her title she decided to do some traveling but, one night someone tried to kill her & after that there were some more attempts. She decided to find Lucas to dee if she could get a bodyguard from where he works or himself to not only protect her but to find out who was after her.
Nick, before he became a member of Protection, Inc. used to fight against them instead but, one night with the help of a young wolf he came to them for help & help him they did in more that one way. Nick, never thought that he would find his mate & is shocked (she was too) when he's introduced to her as his assignment.
At 1st neither of them wanted to admit to each other that they were mates & it was interesting in seeing them tick the other off; until the night when she was harmed. But, now you will have to read the book to not only find out how she was harmed but, what happens after. You will also want to read this book to find out how Nick became a member of Protection, Inc,
This book has some fight scenes, sex scenes, good friends of Nick's that don't work at Protection, Inc., an old for from Nick's past & some of the characters from the previous books.
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!
This is the 4th book in the Protection, Inc series. It is for adults only due to the steamy content and foul language.
Okay when I first started this book, I was sad because I didn’t like it. Both Nick and Raluca just annoyed me. I think they are meant to because they are just not in sync and complete opposites. They both purposely are mean to each other. I guess I have come to love the warm happy feeling I get when reading Zoe’s book that this one rubbed me the wrong way, BUT it turns around SO DON’T GIVE UP READING! I couldn’t put it down once it turned around and it made up for all of it. If you aren’t big on the f word, then you might have problems with the book. They bring it together, and I was screaming in parts of it because it was intense. Definitely action packed and awesome!
I highly recommend to all the shifter lovers who love this series, Zoe, and shifters in general who don’t mind a rocky start while the main characters get their stuff together!
Okay, so here's the thing, I was really looking forward to reading this book having read the 1-3 already and Nick was definitely my favorite character but I'm not the biggest fan of the Dragon Princess and the ex-gangster. I mean, don't get me wrong! I LOVED the story especially Nick's part but I didn't think the two of them suited each other well like the others and their mates...but that's just me! I assumed that Nick would get someone like Ellie or Cat but he got a former princess which is still kind of cool and he does love her and everything but to start off they are always fighting...which a lot of couples do (Not every relationship is perfect) but I don't know...I just didn't think they were the best! :( I do still VERY much LOVE Nick but this book was so not what I was expecting...Smh... Still, LOVE the series and the Author! I have read the Fire and Rescue Series and Shifting Sands Series and I LOVE both of them! I would still HIGHLY recommend this book to any and everyone who loves werewolves and dragon princesses, well, former dragon princess as Raluca likes to remind everyone! Lol.

Awesome book about a dragon princess and wolf shifter
This is the fourth book in The Protection, Inc series. Raluca is a princess Dragon shifter who renounce your claim to the throne. She is being hunted by someone who's using dragonbane, a poison that prevents dragon from shifting. She goes to the place where Lucas her ex fiancee.
Nick is wolf shifter bodyguard who is also her mate. They don't understand each other and got off on the wrong foot. Will they ever be able to solve their differences?
The characters are intriguing, relatable, and funny where there misconception between Nick and Racula. The plot is fast paced drama and has many twists and turns. I enjoyed this book because of the problems between the Rich princess and poor wolf. Sometimes the misconception is so funny that makes the book so enjoyable.
Highly recommended. I can hardly wait to read the next in the series.
Kindle Unlimited Purchase By Zoe Chant Nick is rough and tough, he has the looks and the vocabulary to match. He loves throwing F-bombs (like a lot). But you have to write your characters the way they are coming threw. Have to write them as you see them. And I wouldn't change a thing about him. He's the best mate for Raluca with her princess ways. Raluca gave up her chance of being queen in book 2. Now someone is trying to kill her. And she knows the one place she trusts Protection, Inc. Where her fellow dragon Lucas works. This is a great book to the series. Opposites attract, misunderstanding, and a wolf of a man, WOW. Protection, Inc is a family, a pack, and that is just what this couple needs.
Omg, the next one is Rafa's book. His book is the one I'm looking forward to reading... HIS A LION SHIFTER. Sorry did mean to yell.
A former gangster wolf shifter and a former princess dragon shifter!
Wow! Sparks do fly when Nick and Raluca meet! I guess you can try to deny your mate, or at least misunderstand things so badly that it s a wonder that they didn't kill each other! But their growth in understanding and character is wonderful to see. Nick does drop a LOT of f-bombs, especially in the beginning, but that is a main part of his character.
If you like great characters, action, steamy scenes and as few laugh out loud spots to lighten your shifter romance, then this is for you. I highly recommend you read the other 3 stories before this. They really seem to flow together. Can't wait to get to the next one! Enjoy!
I liked that this book brought the action back to focus on the Protection, Inc agency. Watching Nick and Raluca figure out ways to annoy one another was pretty fun as well, but I'm glad that they were able to stop and realize that they were both acting defensively out of fear. Once that was cleared up and Nick had a chance to tell his story, I appreciated that they supported each other 100% and worked well as a team - especially that Nick realized that Raluca wasn't as delicate as she seemed and he should trust her to make her own decisions and know her limits. I also really liked that Raluca wanted to find a job or something to do with her life, rather than just "being a rich dragon".
Continuing to love this series and excited to see what's next!
This is definitely the best of the series so far. It was nice that despite the instant-mate, Nick and Raluca actually fought against it and wound up getting to know one another a bit before declaring love and all that. My biggest issue has to be that Nick somehow magically survived a fall from the sky with just a broken leg and dislocated shoulder. Um…he’d be pavement splatter, even with super-healing. To survive, they should have at least had something break the fall before hitting the ground to slow their what had to be terminal velocity, or they should have been described as falling from a lower height than at least taller than skyscrapers.
Poor Nick what a journey he has had great storyline, I thought Raluca was sweet in the other Book she never wanted to be with the Prince (clearly she likes the ruff around the edges type) Nick saw himself as a bad boy in a gang but he really was a robin hood he never had a choice when his dad took over the pack wolf law took his free will.He did his best in a crappy life until his good heart set him free when he acted noble.
Poor red didn't Fiona have a op three days ago? I wonder? It Also In every series there is always a couple that love up? Nearly all is coupled up now
A good enemies to lovers paranormal romance. She's a runaway dragon princess who has renounced her throne and fled to America after seeing most of Europe. He's a wolf shifter with anger issues and an attitude. Realizing they're mates upon first sight, they both react with "No!" He's crass and uncouth and f-bombs litter his language like salt on buttered popcorn. She's refined and groomed all her life to be a queen. But she needs a bodyguard and after meeting her, he declares no one else will guard or protect her but him. With a relationship that starts out tumultuous and ends up spicy, this romance kept me entertained.
Dragon Shifter Princess Rafea renounced the crown and fled the palace, but an attempt on her life makes her admit that she can’t protect herself as a human.
A friend works for protection, Inc., so she goes directly there. Her friend is on assignment, but she is offered her pick of the others. Once she meets Nick they know they are fated mates and they insist on each other.
Nick, a wolf shifter is more than a little rough around the edges. Can Nick and his princess learn to get along and find out who’s behind the attacks on Rafea?
Raluca, a former princess silver dragon selects Nick as her bodyguard almost against her will. A tatted up gangster werewolf with a mouth that would make a sailor blush with a princess. But looks are deceiving. And she does need protection, she's already had two assassination attempts. But, can they get along well enough to keep her alive and without causing each other's misinterpreted antagonism to give the bad guys their shot? Loved it! The grit Raluca showered and trust in Nick -which went both ways-was great.
I love this series. The only problem I had was the this story was the constant f-bombs. I loved the plot. The characters but I started to have to skip over the f.... Word and the GD word that sometimes made up most of a sentence. This was the only one in the series that was so entrenched with this. I would rather have seen him struggle to catch himself more often to not respond in his normal character. Even with saying this, I can.t wait for your spinoff of protection, inc. Defenders to be released.
I just read her novella The Red Dragon's Baby and i love it so i try some trope i really find the enemies to lovers trope and it was okay i really like how she writes and the way she waves the story is a really good one but i have read better enemies to lovers, fated mates, bad boy / good girl but still i enjoy it but i won't probably will reading again but i will keep reading other books from her
Zoe Chant's words leap off of the page, wrapping you in a world filled with action, adventure, intrigue, humor and romance. Nick's had a chip on his shoulder the size of a boulder for as long as he can remember. He hates feeling weak. Luckily his mate appears challenging both of their enemies. Raluca is grace personified, but there is also much strength in her beauty. What a thrilling romantic ride!
