Malka Drucker is an American rabbi and author living in Idyllwild, California. Ordained in 1998 from the Academy for Jewish Religion, a transdenominational seminary, Drucker was the founding rabbi of HaMakom: The Place for Passionate and Progressive Judaism, in Santa Fe for fifteen years.
Dislike: she suggests they started their Day of Rest because their Babylonian neighbors did. Uh… no?? Their God commanded it — not stolen from neighbors.
Very instructive and easy to understand. I also enjoyed the recipes, shabbat activities/games and crafts at the end of the book. Book borrowed from the library but I want to own a copy for my home library.
