Lake Forest Witches #4

Meows, Magic, & Mayhem

Rate this book
Lake Forest witch Petunia Patterson enters her four cats in the first Lake Forest Cat Show, even though only three of them are really felines. One of them actually used to be a man before Petunia gave him a love potion that went haywire and changed him into a cat; but he’s a cat she communicates with telepathically. The problem is her nemesis Maria Hoodwink and Maria’s mother Estelle also enter a cat in the show. Petunia doesn’t have time to worry about that, though, as poisoned champagne sickens entrants at the show and the grand marshal, Mr. Calhoun, is near death as a result. Aunt Maxine shows up to save the day—but is her antidote really a cure or another problem? Fortunately, Petunia’s steady beau Noah Becker is on hand to help her solve the case, which becomes even more interesting when his parents show up in town to meet Petunia. What is needed might be some old fashioned witchcraft, or could that be what caused the problem in the first place?

When Madison Johns began writing at the age of forty-four, she never imagined she'd make it onto the USA Today best-selling books list with her first cozy mystery, Armed and Outrageous, as an independent author. Sure, this book is an Amazon bestseller, but USA Today?

Although sleep-deprived from working third shift, she knew if she used what she had learned while caring for senior citizens to good use, it would result in something quite unique. The Agnes Barton Senior Sleuths mystery series has forever changed Madison's life, with each of the books making it onto the Amazon bestseller's list for cozy mystery and humor.

Madison is a member of Sisters In Crime. Madison is now able to do what she loves best and work from home as a full-time writer. She has two children, a black lab, and a hilarious Jackson Chameleon to keep her company while she churns out more Agnes Barton stories with a few others brewing in the pot.

Petunia and Noah on the case with help from Pansy

Another great mystery from one of my favorite authors. Fast paced and never ending antics from Patunia's cats and her Aunt Maxine and friends. While trying to save the day things get a little hairy. Can Petunia and Noah solve this one while Aunt Maxine works her magic? Does Pansy help or hinder the mayhem at the cat show? Sometimes it hard to tell what Pansy is up to, but I love him. Fun read.

Cats, Cats, Cats

What fun! Witch Petunia and her handsome neighbor Noah ( who she's dating) are back investigating. Petunia enters her cats in a cat show where people drink poisoned champagne. Of course, they have to figure out who the guilty party is. As usual, Madison Johns has written a good mystery that makes you laugh.

Fun Characters

I liked this story about a cat show, a budding romance, magic and mayhem. With a bunch of quirky characters and a preposterous story, this book kept my interest all the way through. The reason for 4 stars vs. 5 was for the spelling and other grammar typos. This story really needed better editing.

Lake Forest Witches

Another good read from Madison Johns. This is the forth in a series that keeps getting better with every book. Cats who used to be human, witches, and potions that sometimes work as they are supposed to, other times, not so much. Needs to be read in order, but well worth the time.!!

Fun Sweet Read!

I really enjoy this series. I love the characters and the cat's. Now Me. Cora needs to have an attitude adjustment. I would like to why she has it in for Petunia besides that she's a witch.
