Finding your true home
This family continues to have members coming out of the woodwork. I think this might be the one I have wanted to read the most. Laura was given the short end of the stick when old Clive turned on her in his will. Thankfully Steve comes along and shows her the woman she truly is. Such a great read, you are going to love it. I’m looking forward to the next book by this author.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. I just finished this story and those are the words that poured out of me as soon as I finished. A warm afterglow of incredibly awesome. After each book, I know her next book is going to be just as great. Amazing how a character can be Alpha male and yet he is so loving, and a friggin' stud, all at the same time. Bearshifter Steve Holden is so frickin' hot. But he isn't sure he wants to meet the Bascoms! Who cares about how much money is at stake. But that's Steve. Laura Bascoms is gorgeous, strong, courageous and totally loving. The perfect mate for Steve. Isadora Montrose is author that creative and very capable of writing such awesome characters. I really enjoy reading any book about Bear Shifters, for me they are all very fascinating and a real page turner. This is another excellent story by Isadora Montrose. I've love reading Bear Pause from the beginning to the end.

This series gets deeper with every book. This is a Fantastic Read. There is lots of action, it's humorous, it's romantic and of course it's Scorching HOT, You don't want to miss this book! If you are looking for a Spectacular paranormal book then you need to read this series. This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I received an ARC for my honest opinion in the form of a review as I love communicating with other readers I highly recommend this book.

Bear Pause

Steve receives notice from attorneys that he inherits 2% of B & B oil if he takes a DNA test and changes his last name to Bascom. Before he does that he wants to meet the Bascoms. Laura Bascom runs a stud farm and training for horses in Colorado. Her great grandfather leaves her the horse farm for life if she marries and has a child before she turns 35. She has cousins who want the horse farm and will do anything to push Laura out. Steve realizes Laura is his mate and she decides Steve would make an acceptable husband and father for short term. Steve agrees to marry her but his aim is forever with Laura. Great book.

Home on the range

Steve is on a mission and once he gets started nothing will keep him from finishing. Laura has to comply with her great-granddad's will if she's to keep the ranch she's worked so hard for and that means getting married and pregnant right away. Steve has to get Laura to trust him so his sets out a slow pace to win her over. Cattle rustlers, vandalism and being shot at are just some of the things they have to overcome.

Duplicity...

Duplicity, deception, and danger are found throughout this story, but decency, desire, and delightful romance will find a way to trump it all! Loving the whole series, and the way it connects to other series is ingenious!

Family dynamic goes haywire!

This Bascoms are a family incomplete disarray. It seems backstabbing and subterfuge are common traits. Steve was lucky to be raised away from them and is quite the hero.

Terrific book! Steve Holden wants to find out if his birth father's family is worth knowing even if his great-grandfather was not well liked. So he goes to work for his distant cousin Laura Bascom and finds out she is his fated mate. Laura is dealing with running the ranch and trying to handle problems such as rustling and sabotage and vandalism from an unknown source. She also has to marry and have a baby within a short time. Since she is attracted to Steve she decides to ask him to marry her and father her child, planning to divorce him after the child is born. Steve plans on marrying her but then seducing his wife so they never part. To find out how everything turns out you have to read this wonderful love story also filled with suspense as they try to find out who the bad guys are. This is a wonderful and intriguing book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story covers Laura Bascom a feisty BBW and a bear shifter, who according to her grandfathers will must be married and have a child by the time she turns 35yrs old, now time is running short and she is going to pay Steve Holden to marry her and give her a child. Steve Holden, a bear shifter is basically working uncover to find out if the Bascom family is really worth knowing as he is in reality a Bascom. He discovers after one sniff that Laura is his own personal mate. What you will find in this story is drama, suspense, some action, humor, vindictive cousins (Piper & Nolan), a will, a hard working woman/bear shifter, a new worker (Steve), Stable foreman (Diego), talking, has been made as a Bascom, Ranch foreman (Gary Evens), discrepancies with cattle, Piper being a nuisance, Steve lunging & training cow ponies, Laura phoning a cousin (Zeke), told Steve is a good decent man/bear shifter, making a offer to Steve about marriage and a child and can leave afterwards, Steve wants to be in child's life forever, sabotage, cattle rustling, a pre-nup, a ring, a wedding, shooting, cousins betrayal, admitting he is a Bascom, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, the pace was steady and not rushed. The characters are well developed with personalities and have feelings of needs and desires. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a good bear shifter romance.

Laura Bascom is angry! Her great-grandfather promised her the ranch if she stayed and ran it but his will made it conditional on her being married and having her first child by her 35th birthday. Otherwise after her death, her spoiled brat cousins will get the ranch. Laura is a big muscular girl used to heavy ranch work and hasn't dated in years so she has slim hopes of fulfilling the will.
Steve Holden is a Bascom through his mom's first marriage and is promised a share of oil riches if he can prove he has the DNA of a Bascom and he re-takes the Bascom name. He is not sure if he wants to be associated with the Bascoms so he goes Colorado to check them out. Imagine his surprise when he meets Laura and his bear lets him know she is his mate.
Laura is willing to hire Steve because he is a green Beret veteran. She never shifts into her bear so she doesn't realize Steve is her mate. Steve is a very hard worker and she is very attracted to him but doesn't want to mess up the boss/employee relationship. Steve does help her with sabotage on the ranch and missing cattle. I loved how Steve always kept chasing Laura and made her feel special.

Bear Pause by Isadora Montrose

Laura Bascom is running Double D, her Granddaddy Clive's will says she is to marry and have a child by the time she is 35 or she will lose the farm. Then Piper and Nolan Belington will have control of the farm, they are twin cousin's of Laura.
Steve Holden is a related to the Bascom. His father Kenneth Bascom married his mom but died and she remarried. His is in tittle to an inherentist from the Bascom only if he proves genetic descendant. He decides to go and check out the town of Success Colorado.
Wow this was a great story from beginning till end, a lot of action. It has so many twist and turns of cattle disappearing and to putting burrs in a horse's tail. It is also a great love story. Can't help but fall for Steve, what a great guy in this book. I really thought this was a great book and glad I got the chance to read it. I was given this book for my honest opinion.

Delightful story. This book is more about two people falling in love than about shifters. Laura is a strong, savvy horsewoman and business woman, but she is shy and hesitant when it comes to men and sex, and she is timid about her bear. She has been burned before. Men pretending to want her just for her money. Steve is big, bold, confident, ex special forces, and embraces his bear. These two are such opposites, but just what each other need. I loved the way Steve wooed Laura, and kept her on her toes. Once he met her, his only goal is to get his mate. The other characters in the story who work for Laura were great too, especially Carlos and his wife. They realize who Steve really is right off the bat, and keep telling him stories about his ancestors, and dropping hints to him about Laura.

In order to retain full ownership of the horse ranch she needs a husband and a child with in 18 months or she will loose control to her spoiled cousins. Little did she know just how deadly their methods of getting their hands on it would be. He wasn't sure he wanted to prove they were related but when he came to the ranch and seen the vision of loveliness his bear had other ideas of his own. Now they need to work together to find out who wants to destroy the ranch and why.

This book was much more than a romance between two shifters. I loved all the family drama over who would gain control of the ranch. The mystery of who was behind the sabotage was well written and compelling. There was a colorful cast of characters, especially the bratty cousins trying to interfere in the ranch and stud.

It was a great book that I couldn't put down once I started reading.

I was attracted to this book by what should have been the main story, the problems at the ranch and stud. As I got into the book it became apparent that the problems were an aside leading up to sex. Although this could have been a really good story there was no real substance to it and it just zipped right through meeting, sex and then marriage. I was disappointed.

I love the way the author is able to grab my attention and keep it. I wasn’t able to put down the book once I started it. I also like the way she ties 2 of her series together. Loved loved this story! Laura needs a husband and baby fast otherwise she doesn't get to keep her inheritance.. Along comes a cousin (whom she doesn't know is a 3rd half cousin) who knows she's his mate the first time they meet. Steve has to prove to Laura she's his and that he wants her for her. You will love this new story in the Bascoms family.
