As children we grew up listening to Bob Steele on the portable radio in our CT kitchen. He updated the date and time continuously.He had the word of the day and the proper pronunciation. To this day I google words for meanings and pronunciations. I became a teacher and taught all my inner city children how to use dictionaries and thesauruses. I’m retired and read often. My dad who was a businessman died the same day as Bob Steele.
