Like all Michelle Lynn's books in the New Beginnings series, Confessions was easy to read, sweet, and well-written. The characters, who are invariably flawed (as most humans tend to be), are instantly relatable, and the way they play off each other is wonderful to read.
Grant "Mack" Mackenzie is a star hockey player with All-Star potential, but when an incident from his past threatens to come out, he must reexamine his life choices and his devil-may-care attitude. Abigail, a girl with whom he had a brief fling, is trying everything she can to distance herself from her abusive parents. When both are invited on vacation by their best friends Taylor and Josh (who are also a couple as of the last book in the series), they realize there is a chemistry between them they can't ignore - assuming they can deal with all the other crap being thrown at them.
This is a great series, full of romance and real-life heartache that you think about for a long time after you've turned the last page. I highly recommend this story, and the whole series.
