With Jay slowly regaining his memories, he decides to secretly help Daniel fight through the procedure all the other beasts went through to get their memories erased. But Peter has other plans, which put both Jay and Dan in imminent danger. Still, they have to try their best to keep up the facade, while feelings of guilt, jealousy, and silent reproach, as well as Peter's efforts to learn about Meghan's whereabouts, take a physical and psychological toll on both men, as they fight for their life and their identity.
Publisher's note: This diary is written by Jay and Daniel. Meg only takes part passively!
D.S. “Dee” Wrights was born 29th March 1980 in Germany. Her name is a pen name, and she describes writing as her passion and calling. Dee speaks three languages fluently, English, German and Dutch, and some other rudimentary. Although she started writing at an early age and two short stories were published during high school, one as a school project and one in a regional newsletter – Dee never dared of thinking to pursue a writing career. Until she started writing fanfiction and readers encouraged her to publish The Beast And Me as an ebook in May 2014. Dee worked at a publishing house at which she earned insight into the work, process, and production of publishing books. That was the reason why she chose to do all the work herself, apart from proofreading. When talking about her novels, Dee explains that she loves to dive into the mindset of different characters, especially those of villains and anti-heroes. However, in addition to that, she enjoys writing women who start off as weak and grow through their experiences in her books and end up being their own hero.
The question "Why do you want to be my friend?" is meant seriously. If you have more friends than books, or your answer doesn't tell me anything, I most likely won't accept the request.
Jay and Daniel, Daniel or Jay. Whoever Mag will chose at the end or not will be an unbelievable difficult decision for her. She loves both and she lost both. Will she be able to save them again?
Book #6 in the series is a journal written by Jay and Daniel or better between the two of them.
It's their way to fight the captivity and letting their feelings free rein.
It's the only way to communicate with each other, but also with Mag much later.
This strange journal is a proof of the real state of their mental and emotional status, but it also shows how their fight slowly fade into nothing but hopelessness and pain.
This episode is written completely in diary form which allows the reader to learn more about each of the major characters; Jay, Daniel, and Meghan. Daniel has been captured, Jay is cognizant of what is happening around him after reading the diaries and remembering bits and pieces. Both men are trying to keep Meghan safe. "You were the broken monster she turned back into a human being, a fairy tale come true." "Maybe, me- the real me- feels I shouldn't be okay with being a beast when in truth I want to be. Maybe I'm tearing myself in two." "I understand why Meghan let you close. Frightened, mourning, feeling lost and overwhelmed with becoming a beast and being pregnant with one." Lots of unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered in the last episode My Beasts and Me.

This installment of The Beast & Me series gives us a new POV. This diary is written between Jay & Daniel (with snippets from Meg). After Dan's capture he is imprisoned in the fortress with the other Beasts but all is not what it seems. Loyalties change & no one's sure who can be trusted anymore.
This series must be read in the correct order. The Beast & Me series is one of my favourites that grabbed me right from the start. Can't believe it's almost over.
This book really made me question, everything I read. I started on team Jay. Then would swing to team Daniel. They both love Megan. I think she loves them both too. Though, can she truly forgive Jay ? Reading each diary entry I began to see how strong Daniel was. His ability to withstand so much hardship. Can he and Jay work together? I also found that my emotions were pulled in every direction. Everything that was happening was written so beautifully and with such passion by D. S Wrights. I felt as if I was living in the story. Just need to know how this story will finish and if I can survive the angst
I'm not sure how I feel about this book, it continues the story in diary form about life after Megan had escaped. It's a good story, believable but I'm now getting inpatient I want the story to come towards the end. Will they all escape who will Meghan end up with. It's all starting to feel dragged out.
This installment could have been condensed to a couple of chapters. It was another one that I mainly skimmed. The writing just suits a woman. Whenever it swaps to the guys, it feels like bold and the beautiful. One book to go thank god.
It’s killing me, book 6 is so emotional charged, I’ve yelled at them and told them off, but it’s sooo good that you can’t stop, you have to know, you have to keep reading. Now I have to go get the next book, it’s to addictive not to
This book is in diary format from, Meg, Jay and Daniel's point of view. At the end of last book Daniel was captured and now he and Jay are using a diary to communicate. It's interesting to see what is happening to both Jay and Daniel and how they are trying to cope with being prisoners again. I really want to know more about Meg's pregnancy so I hope we'll see more of that in the next book.
I really liked this diary exchange between Jay and Daniel. The (secret) diary exchange with Maghan, which also took place, was also an interesting reading experience. Jay and Daniel are back in captivity and have to adjust to the circumstances. Everyone plays their part, and the conflicting feelings that arise between the two are easy to understand. - Trust ... does not come easily, but it is a way to hope, to escape.
Though Maghan is still on the run, she was heavily present in this book all the time. The dynamics have changed, which makes the story all the more exciting.
This installment primarily focuses on Jay and Daniel after being brought to The Fortress. In this book you truly start to see the inner workings of the both of them.
No one is who you thought they were and nothing is as it seems. There are so many questions and time is running out to find the answers.
You might think it's short, I think it's perfect. As someone who loves Meg's voice - don't get me wrong I like Jay's, too, but it's simply Meg's story - I really enjoyed the Little surprise this book gave me. But I honestly, truly love Dan. I think he would be the right choice for Meg and this book proves it!
