* This is the second story in the Warlock Academy series and is intended for those that have read the previous entry.
Fighting for pride, fighting for love, or just fighting. Sebastian Lockridge, William Dicer and Jake Minkovski take center stage in the second Warlock Academy book.
The end of the first term has arrived. The grounds are covered in snow. Boisterous cheers echoing down the hallways have become as much of a fixture as the paintings of previous headmasters bolted onto the walls.
The spell slinging tournament is about to begin, but not before the infamous pre-sling-fling week in which daredevil warlocks break their curfew. They take the courtyard's portal to a random city where they try to get as much action as possible by using their magic to charm, dazzle and bewilder unsuspecting humans.
Having just been freed from the affliction that tied him to William, Jake decides to take part in the event and follows his group of rebellious minions to Manchester, England. Meanwhile, Sebastian works on ways to exploit Jake's powers and William prepares himself for the tournament whilst learning how to handle his relationship with Logan.
However, something beyond each of their capabilities is at play, and it forces the three warlocks to set their differences aside... at least for a little while.
Born January 6th 1993, T. C. resides in the United Kingdom, living with his partner Peter Jones and their dog, Drake.
T. C. has had a passion for supernatural stories from a young age, often scribbling down his latest ideas instead of focusing on whatever task was at hand during the long school days. At the age of twelve, he penned his first romance story featuring himself and the boy he had feelings for set in a fantastical land full of werewolves and wizards. Ever since that day, T. C. has made it his mission to entwine his leading gay protagonists with epic paranormal adventures.
This second book in the Warlock Academy series really heats up. William and Logan are hot and heavy while William readies himself for the tournament. He’s really growing as a character. He seems to have a better understanding of his magic in this story and I’m looking forward to what he brings the next book.
Jake surprised me the most. I am liking him more than I thought I would. He has unexpected depth. He struggled where I didn’t expect him to struggle and he embraced things that I didn’t expect him to embrace. He, too, is growing as a character. I found myself feeling for Sebastian too as he also has a story that isn’t pretty and you can feel that he is hurt by the way his family treats him when he is taught to believe that family is everything.
Things that were just hinting at in the first Warlock Academy start to make sense now. Although, just when I think I have the story all figured out, T.C. Orton once again throws a twist in that I just did not see coming. He does it to me every time. I should just get used to it I suppose, but I’m always surprised. He has an incredible imagination and his detail and creation of the different magics is astounding.
I love this series and I love the Omega Moon Universe. I would say this is T. C. Orton’s best work yet.

The first one is okay if a bit cheesy. The second one was okay too, though the fact there is no ending was what caused the rating to go down. There is no resolution. Your imagination I suppose could fill in what you want to happen but it would be writing another novel. Maybe there is a book 3 planned? I didn't particularly like any of the characters. Sebastian was okay. The foreshadowing wasn't very clever. I am still unsure what was done to break them free of the curse. Did they kiss? Hug? Did Seb say some magic words? Confusing.
I really liked the second installment of Warlock Academy more than the first. I thought there was great character development and I enjoyed the way the relationships between the characters grew and changed. I also thought the storyline was clever and fun. I enjoyed this and I can't wait for more of these characters!!!
