SEAL Declan Moynihan has orders to clandestinely shut down a notorious slave brothel in a Middle East war zone. Laila Catami, his accidental captive, is the mysterious woman being brought in to run the brothel. Or so she says.
Laila knows she'll use anyone and any means to save her sister, even if that means using sex to destroy the honorable career of the Navy SEAL who accidentally rescues her.
A Navy SEAL follows the rules. A desperate woman, trapped in a Muslim world, must break them. Will he risk a court-martial, or even his life, to save her?
Carly writes contemporary romance featuring alpha heroes, and the passionate women who love them.
In Carly’s Fantasy World: The men are tough, but the women are tougher, though usually in a different way. Happy endings are mandatory, though there may be a lot of trouble and heartache to get there.
In Carly's Real World: She is a wife to Traveling Man, who actually knows flight attendants because they are on his "commute". (That is his story, and we're buying it.) The upside is, Carly gets some sweet travel deals.
She is also the Jill-of-all-trades to three offspring, who often take her for granted, but are nonetheless wonderful. Just ask them.
Declan's team of Navy Seals are sent on a secret mission to capture, preferably alive, a man who is in charge of a slave brothel in the Middle East. He uses underage girls as sex slaves in his brothels. The Seals have been given his location, but when they arrive to their destination, there's a woman there. The woman, who's dressed as a Muslim, appears to "out" the Seals and their location as she makes her escape. The Seals have no option, but to retreat--something they NEVER do.
The Seals have Intel that their "target" is headed to his brothel, so they regroup and head there. Along the way, they meet up again with the Muslim woman. She's walking, unescorted, in the desert and is about to be attacked. The Seals, even though they are not supposed to be in the Middle East, come to the Muslim woman's aid....
Declan finds out the Muslim woman is only dressed as a Muslim, but she won't tell them the real reason she's in the Middle East. Along their journey to the brothel, Declan discovers a little bit of why Laila is in the Middle East, but not everything. He also finds himself fighting his growing attraction to Laila.
If you like romantic suspense novels, this one is for you!!! It had so many twists and turns. I actually thought the bad guy might get away!!! I love the "family" that Laila and Declan become. It was a page-turner that kept me on the edge of my seat! Highly recommended!
What do you do when you half sister is taken and abused in the worse way? You do whatever you need to, to get her back even if that means going into a war zone with terrorist who will most likely kill you after they abuse you if you get caught. For Laila that is what happens just when she thinks she won’t get out she points and yells, dumps oil and starts a firer and gets away. What she doesn’t know is there is a band of Navy Seals where she pointed there to take a the man who held her captive. This is where the story starts off filled with action and excitement that keeps you entertained. The story is believable, the characters likable, the plot is exciting and thrilling. There were places that made me want to cry, others where I was saying yes, yes. It is a story full of emotions. The author does a good job pulling you and keeping you interested.
This is a really enjoyable and very believable story. A group of navy seals on a secret mission in the Middle East end up with an unlikely addition to their mission in the form of Laila, a British woman also on an undercover mission of her own. Both parties are understandably weary of each other and their journey to their mutual destination is fraught with danger, lies, fear and at times humour. There's a very sad side to the story covering a range of emotions and somewhere along the line relief, happiness and even love emerge. A great read!!
This book pulled no punches, giving a dark look into the most vile of men, and of course the hardened yet hunky heroes who hunt them. I was on the edge of my seat from go as Laila searched for her sister in the terrifying world if ISIS’s sex slavery ring. Throw in Dec and his SEAL team hunting for the leader of the same ring, a pile of secrets between them, and a series of narrow escapes for everyone and you’ve got romantic suspense gold! I highly recommend this steamy, turbulent read that’ll have you cheering at the end!
a steamy, turbulent ride that you won’t want to miss

Declan and Laila certainly have a unique story and I loved it. The fear and suspense portrayed leapt off the pages. I did get my wish for Behaid's fate! I would love to see this turn into a series and read stories for the rest of the team.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review! When I started reading this book I wasn't sure what to expect because I dont usually read military romance books often, but this book kept me in suspense the whole time and wanting to find out what would happen next to leila since she seemed to be a real trouble magnet, and also declan, would he let himself love her! And I truly can't wait to read more from this author!
