La única razón por la cual tiene una estrella de más es:



pobre Haneul

Todo el arte que me gustó en el primer tomo medio como que desapareció, cada vez se entienden menos los dibujos, tengo que estar media hora para distinguir qué carajo se supone que estoy mirando y así todo a veces es imposible, no es más que manchas y lineas.

La historia se va cada vez más al carajo y no hay ninguna razón lógica para muchas de las cosas que están pasando tampoco entiendo POR QUÉ NO MATAN A LOS LOCOS CUANDO PUEDEN.

Después... algunos tecnicismos (?). Me molesta mucho que hayan sacado las onomatopeyas en coreano para ponerlas en inglés porque quedan realmente espantosas e inentendibles.
También... NECESITO SABER QUIÉN FUE EL IMBECIL INOPERANTE QUE SE PUSO A TRADUCIR ESTE WEBTOON Y LO HIZO TAN COMO EL OJETE. De repente Haneul SE LLAMA HANUEL DURANTE TODO EL TOMO.

This is one of those stories where I'm not sure if the continual confusion of what's going on is putting me off or if I'm honestly just getting bored with this. I know a lot of people seem to really like or dislike this webtoons. Loads of comments online talk about the discrepancies/unrealistic occurrences in the chapter. The unrealistic occurrences (example could be "why would a cop be holding a phone camera on the girl?" "How come they can get so close to lava") don't bother me as much as discrepancies like "boy can see in the dark" "boy pulls out flashlight to look at rope" "boy pulls out cellphone to use as a light to look at ladder" Another issue I had was how the comic showed the passage of time. I have read many comics and novels where time wasn't showed in a linear fashion but I didn't feel like it was executed that well. I didn't fully realize there was a difference in time until later. I usually catch these kind of things but I somehow missed it? It's hard to tell what's going on when the main characters keep dying and then coming back????? Maybe this just wasn't for me but I have read other horror comics/manga and I loved them. This is meh to me but it was still interesting. I don't know if I'm going to read anymore of this series.

I also forgot to add that there is a sexual assault scene that occurs in season two without a trigger warning. I feel like all authors should really use trigger warnings as certain scenes can be devastating to see for some viewers.

Gonna put my review for The Retreats here since I can’t find it anywhere on Goodreads (this is not a review for Distant Sky):
The character development, worldbuilding, and social commentary was absolutely fantastic. Edward’s character growth was chef’s kiss. Great action and fight scenes. Plot happens at breakneck speed but doesn’t feel overwhelming. More people need to read this!
Since this WEBTOON was created for Pubg, it’s obvious that it was constrained by the number of chapters. The last few chapters definitely skipped over a lot and the ending was more open ended than I would have liked. Still, I would be so excited to see where the story would go if it could have more chapters.

Wow, es aún más caótico y confuso que la primera season (aunque hacia el final entendí el ritmo y el tiempo); y no es mejor. La historia de esa madre buscando un corazón es todo un drama, pero no me resultó muy interesante personalmente.
A ver cómo evoluciona, voy a continuar el manhwa porque es que me puede la curiosidad. Además, es cosa mía o está tornando a la ciencia-ficción... Necesito respuestas (!!!).

Todavía sigo interesada en la historia, pero es cierto que es muy confuso. Ha sido un tomo que ha dejado más preguntas que respuestas, pero me ha parecido bastante triste.

Art is amazing like always but I have no idea what is happening now. So I'm guessing the people in the sink hole can heal themselves or sum? But that doesn't explain Heyool coming back like damn I'm getting major Dark vibes.
