Marauder Kain

Rate this book
In a world of darkness, she is his only light.

When Kara’s ship gets stranded on a cold rock on the ass-end of the solar system, she knows that her chances of a knight in shining armor rescuing her are slim to none. But when a light in the sky turns out to be none other than a Marauder with shining teal armor and rippling muscles who lands and saves her, she thinks her luck is too good to be true. And it is. He’s Kain, Son of Grius, and he’s from Darkstar. It’s a barren world beyond the orbit of Pluto, and it’s the home base of Marauders who want to obliterate the human race. But before they eradicate humanity, they’re perfectly happy to take human females as slaves.

Kain Son of Grius has betrayed Darkstar and become a peacekeeper. His mission? Go back to Darkstar as an undercover agent. But on the way, a distress beacon from a stranded human ship takes him off course. It takes just one look in that human’s eyes, and his entire life goes off course. He thinks he might be able to save her, but before he can, a fully-armed ship from Darkstar approaches. He’ll have to go on with his undercover mission, and he’ll have to take his potential mate as prisoner.

If he wants her to survive, he’ll have to claim her.

Marauder Kain is the fifth standalone book in the Mating Wars series, it features steamy sex, thrilling battles, and plenty of romance. All books in this rock-hard science fiction series can be read as standalones, there are no cliffhangers, and happily ever afters are guaranteed!

So, everyone should read at least one book about a sexy, buff, giant, purple-skinned alien with a 10 inch, self-lubricating, teal cock that vibrates. I mean, seriously, alien wet dream, right there ;)

I've read four so far.
Cuz...vibrating dicks ;)

The books in this series are all fluffy bunny and totally safe. They are great filler between dark and heavy reads. There are rarely any obstacles on the way to the HEA. Just lots of Alpha grunting and sassy babes amidst wars and rebellions.

I can't believe I finally gave into the temptation of sci-fi alien romances...the world is ending, folks.

Aya Morningstar’s MATING WARS series is a very good Alien Romance series. Once that you will want to read from beginning to end. I did know that Kain was going to be the next Marauder, but didn’t know that she was going take it in the direction that she took it. I loved how she worked her story line perfectly with the characters. The minor characters even had important parts to play in the story line. Your attention is grabbed at the beginning of the book and she doesn’t let you go till the very end of the book. You sitting on the edge of your chair wondering what is going to happen next. Then the ending of the book leaves you wondering if there is going to be another Marauder book in the works. That is a sign of a very good author, and one that I will continue to read her books. This book will be recommended to my friends as an AWESOME read. This book is recommended to mature readers 18 years of age or older. It has feisty and cocky aliens, tempting human females, bombs, space ships, secrets, friends from the past, and panty melting SEX. What more could you want in an AWESOME book?

Kain is the son of Grius, who in the previous book “Marauder Ramses” was helping his father get Ramses’ mate from him because she was pregnant with the next generation of Marauder. But Kain turned on his father and the cause and helped Ramses destroy all the Seraphim’s that were gathering to further the Marauder Cause.

Now Kain is peacekeeper and his mission is to go back to Darkstar as an undercover agent to help bring down Darkstar and the Marauders. Darkstar is a barren world beyond the orbit of Pluto, and the home base for the Marauders who want to get rid of the human race. However, it doesn’t stop them from taking human females as slaves. On his way to Darkstar Kain and his crew catch a distress beacon from a stranded human ship. Kain couldn’t leave the humans stranded so he goes in for the rescue even though it takes him off his course. When he sees Kara’s eyes for the first time he realizes that his life has now taken on a new challenge. He thinks he can save her and her sister, but before he can get off the desolate planet the distress beacon is also seen by a fully loaded Marauder ship. So now Kain has no choice but to take her and her sister as prisoners, hoping for the chance to claim Kara, and then get her and her sister Felicia off of Dark Star alive.

Kara and he sister Felicia are stranded on a cold planet on the ass end of the solar system where they have been mining. They turned on the distress beacon hoping for a miracle, but in the mean time they kept mining. They are manually having to turn on and off heat that if it is on too long will burn them up. Kara is trying to get it turn off when she loses the wrench. She sees an approaching ship hoping it is someone to save them and not kill them. But imagine her surprise when the ship that comes to their rescue is a Marauder with shining teal armor and muscles too galore. She thinks their luck is beginning to change. Then fear strikes when they realize that a Marauder ship from Darkstar has also answered the distress beacon. Now things could get tricky. Can Kain keep on his mission and save both Kara and her sister? Will Kain convince Kara that they are meant to be together?

No Spoilers. ARC free book given in exchange for an honest review.

MARAUDER KAIN-MATING WARS BOOK 5-ACTION-DANGER & SIZZLING ROMANCE

Kain is elated when he meets his potential mate while on a secret mission to Darkstar, but keeping her safe from the evil clutches of other Marauders makes his mission more dangerous.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THIS SCI-FI ROMANCE/ACTION PACKED STORY; a full cast of remarkable and engaging characters, camaraderie, family drama, spine-chilling suspense, horrific danger, life-threatening incidents, sky-rocketing heart-pounding sensual romance, and a heart-warming conclusion leaving you wanting more.

HOW THEY MEET; Kain is on his secret mission to Darkstar when he detours to help save Kara and her sister Felicia two humans from dying on their mining ship. The muscular gorgeous Marauder becomes immediately smitten at the sight of Kara’s beauty. Kain must now take them to Darkstar where they will be prisoners and put to work. Arriving on Darkstar Kain is informed his older brother Adus is now the High Commander. Kain must now be more careful hoping his brother does not find out his plan to escape with Kara and Felicia; he also has to plot out a way to stop his brother’s plan to annihilate the humans.

This action packed romance keeps you glued to each page until the end with the thrilling plot, quick-witted dialogue, and impressive and powerful vivid scene descriptions. The chemistry between Kain and Kara as portrayed by the author is certainly believable; they fit well together, both are valiant heroes, and their romance is filled with devotion and fiery passion. I also enjoyed the banter between Kara and her sister. The author does a fantastic job showing how Kain fools everyone including his brother with his undercover persona. This was a most entertaining read and I loved it. If you treasure alien romance this is certainly a wonderful book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance, the possibilities are endless, but always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

I have really enjoyed this series. Kain is on a dangerous mission and finding a female human in need really complicates it. He has to pretend to be one of them in order to protect both of them. She thought all hope was lost and is not sure what to make of Kain.

It is a great read and I highly recommend the whole series. They have great chemistry. There is a lot of action and romance and it is a fast paced story. I read it quickly because I wanted to see what would happen for this couple.

YES!! Oh, how I love the Marauder books!! I think Kain and Kara could be one of the best couples in the series, though I truly loved Ramses.

No spoilers, but I can say a bio suit could be an awesome edition to our wardrobes...talk about *ahem* benefits.

I laughed so much, seriously funny moments thrown into absurdly horrible situations provided a perfect balance. As Kain says I have good news and bad news...

Good news...five stars and three wet panties
Bad news...the book has an ending.

I liked pretty much.
It was a fun read with a lot of adventure and "secret agent".
Still, I'm waiting for the Seraphim woman into play.

Here's the thing I like about Aya Morningstar's writing style... there is no unnecessary just-stuffed-in-for-plot drama, the H has a ton of problems coming his way, and getting in his way, and he know's he'll have to make decisions that will harm the budding relationship with the h, so instead of having a book of misunderstandings, secrets, and rubbish (that I mostly skip past anyway) he's honest from the start. I LOVE THAT!!

Fifth book in the series. We meet Kain in the fourth book, he’s full Marauder and changed sides to help humans. Sent undercover back to Darkstar to infiltrate the remaining Marauders. On the way he finds two human women in need of help. Kara and her younger sister Felicia are in a major life or death situation until a strapping Marauder pulls his ship up to help. Kain and Kara have an instant connection. Before they can see we’re things can go they must first survive Darkstar.
This is 25 years after the Marauders first show up. There is good news and bad news. Good news is, the book was well written and had an action packed storyline. The bad news, again, like the fourth book, the story ended at 80% and felt rushed! These are good books but the endings need more.

Once again Aya Morningstar has hit it out of the ballpark. In this book we learn Kain and Kara's story. And just like all of the Marauder stories the alien is sexy and egotistical as hell! It's a good thing Kara is feisty enough to handle him. I love all of these Marauder stories and can't wait for the next installment.

Title: Marauder Kain
Series: Mating Wars
Note: Book 5 in the series but it is a standalone with a happy ending
Author: Aya Morningstar

This is my review of Marauder Kain, the fifth book in the Mating War Series. I got this fifth book in the series free in exchange for an honest review. This is the continuation of a great world and it can be read as a standalone with no cliffhanger ending, it is the whole story. Be warned though you will not want to stop with just this one book and you will want to know the whole series. I have been reading this series since the first book and I am always happy when a new one is released. The book moves at a good pace and keeps you interested.

This book is about Kain who is a Maruader who lives with the left over marauders on a planet they call Darkstar, who want to enslave the human race. Not all the Marauders wanted to live in peace with the humans and some have made their own colony where they power up, prepare to attack the humans, oh and take humans as slaves. Kain is the son of Grius has decided to betray his people because he now believes in co-existing with the humans instead of enslaving them. On his way back to Darkstar to go undercover he finds Kara (and her sister) broken down in the dark of space and he realizes she is his mate. Finding her now has put her at amazing danger and has even put a complication in his plans of going undercover because now he has to keep her safe. In order to keep them safe and to well "keep them" he has to take them as his slaves and put them to work on Darkstar. One problem, his older brother Adus is now the High Commander. Can Kain find out a way to save Kara and her sister, save all the humans, and keep Adus from finding out he has switched sides?

Kain is a recent deserter from Darkstar. Now an undercover Peacekeeper Agent, he is sidetracked from his mission when his ship intercepts a distress call. When he lands he meets Kara and her sister Felicia, who were slowly freezing and starving on their wreck of a mining ship. But when a ship from Darkstar arrives he has to get the girls to go along with his plan to get them safely onto Darkstar so that his mission can begin.

Kain's plan slowly unravels when he learns his formerly imprisoned brother is the new guy in charge. with a couple of his lackeys watching his every move, Kain is up against it trying to get the girls free, upsetting his brothers plans and subverting marauders in general!

Brilliantly engaging plot with twists and turns and a slimy sidekick you can't wait to get his comeuppance! There is great dialogue between the characters and I loved Felicia's total ineptitude at keeping her mouth shut at the worst times! As usual my only gripe is I want more!!!!

I was provided with an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

MARAUDER KAIN(Mating Wars #5) by Aya Morningstar

When Kain is sent back to Darkstar on an undercover secret mission, he comes across a distress beacon from a stranded human ship. His shocked to find his potential mate. But when he realises there's a fully-armed Darkstar ship approaching, he knows things are going to get dangerous. Kain knows that the only way his going to be able to continue his mission, is to take her as a prisoner. But keeping Kara safe from the other evil Marauders, makes his mission complicated and deadly. But he will do whatever he has to, to keep her safe.

I was really looking forward to Kain's story and I was not disappointed, I absolutely loved this book. This author has such a great style of writing, it's expressive and descriptive, and she captures every scene perfectly. This was a very exciting read, that was filled with action and intrigue. It had me gripped from start to finish. Kain and Kara are such an interesting and sweet couple, who share an intense chemistry that flows through the pages. Overall a very enjoyable and entertaining read.

Kain

This is another great standalone addition to the series. Kain has completed Peacekeeper training and is headed back to Darkstar, armed with only a knife, to rejoin the Marauder forces as an undercover agent when he picks up a distress signal from a mining planet. He finds two women miners who are struggling to survive, but before he can come up with a plan to rescue them while still completing his mission, a Marauder ship arrives with two biosuit clad Marauders. And Kain is immediately suspect as the only survivor of the battle on Atlantis, where his father was killed. He will have to act the part of a ruthless Marauder to save the women, one of whom is his unclaimed mate. But when they reach Darkstar, he learns things are worse than he thought. His older brother has staged a coup and is in charge. And he's the one who ordered the attack on Earth.
This great Kindle Unlimited read gets 4.5 stars.

I absolutely love these vibrating aliens, marauders are yummy!

In this one we read about ex bad guy turned good..Kain is the son of the leader of Darkstar, but he realizes that dad is wrong in wanting to anihilate the humans and sides with the good guys. He is now a Peacekeeper and on an undercover mission back to Darkstar when he encounters a ship in distress. His desire to help ovverides his sence of duty and he comes face to face with Kara and realizes that he wants this human above all else. He devices a plan to complete his undercover assignment and keep the perky human by his side all at the same time.

And the fun begins as they put the plan into motion..Lots of intergalctic action, not to mention the steamy vibrating passion between Kain and Kara.

Kain delivers on the promising character first seen in Marauder Ramses

From Kain's first encounter with Ramses I was curious to know more about this youngest Marauder raised on the darkstar, and this story delivers more than I could have hoped for. A warrior raised among a strong and fierce species, the older generation is divided between two mindsets, neither of which bode well for humanity. But Kain is an independent thinker, intelligent, strong, and willing to not only form his own opinions, but do what he believes is right, even if it isn't easy.

I was gifted with a copy of this story, and switched to the Kindle Unlimited version when it was published.

Marauder Wars... Well what a fantastic addition to the series, i loved it, it has such a wonderful array of events, that keep you on the edge. Rescues, prisoners, passion, escapes, lust, bio suits, sci-fi, paranormal at its best.
Big bad purple alien men with big vibrating teal assets meet kick arse feisty women that love hard and fight hard for there men.

Kara and her sister find them selves in a difficult situation.
Kain a leaders son, finds himself in a situation that he never thought could happen, now the woman that he loves needs rescuing, humanity needs recusing, what's a marauder to do but save the world of course.

I really enjoyed the book. When Kara and her sister were rescued by Kain, they thought that they were going to be taken to safety, and not roasting or freezing to death on their mining ship. Kain didn't know how he was going to complete his mission when he rescued Kara and her sister. With them all going to Darkstar with two other Marauders, Kara didn't know how Kain was going to help her and her sister to escape from Darkstar. I was glad when a plan came together and that they not only was able to escape from Darkstar and also to save Titan from an attack. The ending was good. I would recommend this book to others. I would recommend the whole Marauder series to others.

I received this book as an ARC. I love these guys. The heroes are big purple guys with teddy bear ears and teal bodysuits. The ears are very expressive. The hero, Kain, is loveable. He sees the heroine, Kara, and her sister and tries to rescue them. They are rescued but by the bad guys. The women are taken prisoner and used as slave labor. Kain is watched by his brother and friend. There are bombs, battles, and great sex. I hope we get to see what happens to the younger sister and the young recruit.

When Kain rescues Kara and Felicia from a certain death, he takes them to his home Darkstar. A void place where humans are looked upon as slaves. The two women are put to work in the mines. He has determination that he will set them all free but he must show loyalty to Adus first. When the plan falls into place, they escape and find a love like no other.
