This Christmas, paraplegic Carol Cassidy is caught between the naughty and the nice: a hired Santa and a disabled firefighter.
Carol was an avid mountain climber until an accident left her in a wheelchair. Love is the last thing on her mind when she hires Nick to play Santa. Shocked at the sensations he elicits, she resists him and decides to date a good guy.
Nick is drawn to Carol like a magnet to iron, and he sets out to prove that bad boys who hire themselves out can be good boys, too—especially in bed.
Carol discovers she’s not dead to passion, but when Nick’s dirty laundry is aired, she regrets choosing the naughty over the nice. Will the spirit of Christmas teach her that sometimes, a huge lump of coal can turn into the brightest diamond of love?

Bad Boys for Hire: Nick is an exquisitely tender story that will challenge you on a very visceral level. You can’t run and hide from the onslaught of emotions and feelings that will overtake you like an unstoppable tidal wave. Instead you need to work through them both trying to understand and compensate for the pain and joy that they bring. The main goal is to not only find a promising balance but also to revel in discovering the hidden pleasure that is quietly waiting to be embraced and savored. I challenge you to walk this journey and not come out the other side with a new heart and an enlightened mind.
Carol had it all until one fateful day. She had the active, healthy life of a woman on the cusp of realizing all of her greatest dreams. Then, the darkness moved in and left her shrouded in bitter fog and unending pain. Now, she watches her greatest wishes take place only within the confines of her nightly dreams. Getting through the worst of her new reality, she has learned how to push through the day to day trials while putting others at ease. She is an expert at making you believe what you think you see, but she can’t escape who she sees in the mirror. Until one day, one man turned her world upside down. He not only awakened parts of her she thought long dead, but he also proves to be the challenge that no one else had dared to become for fear of upsetting her calm and fake reality. While Nick fumbles his way through his own wreck of a life, he somehow manages to help pull Carol see that change is not always a bad thing.
I always love stories that challenge my heart and make me seriously think about things, and this one is such a beautiful example of that type of story. These characters will test your every boundary as they navigate through their trials and happy times. You will love them at times and want to shake some sense into them at other times. However, through it all, you will them for who they are no matter what they say or do. It’s the truth of their heart and the honesty of their struggle that will speak the loudest and stay with you the longest. I loved each of these wonderful characters, and they helped to expand and enrich my heart and my life with their love and their hope.
My greatest hope is that I will always have the privilege and the opportunity to enjoy and experience a new and fresh story from this incredible author. She always speak to my heart in a way that never fails to touch me deeply and sincerely. I hope to remain receptive and soft hearted to the important and unforgettable messages that she sends our way.
Nick is a Badboy for hire.He is a Sexy Santa and personal trainer. Though they are not supposed to have sex on the job some go outside the rules. Nick has quite a reputation is one of the most requested bad boys. When the Bumblebees hire him for their Christmas children's party he and Carol has an instant love-hate attraction. Though they appear to be very different deep down they both are alike. Nick thinks women only want his body. It's always about their fulfillment and not him as a person. He feels like a piece of meat. Carol in a wheelchair with no feeling from the waist down feels unwanted and undesired. After all what man would want a woman with a catheter and no feeling down there?
As always Rachelle has created very sympathetic characters. though arrogant and self-centered, Nick has a heart of gold underneath. I wanted to hug him. I also liked Carol. She is a very strong woman despite her being wheelchair bound. I loved her independence and drive. The plot is good as well with several twists and turns and some very touching scenes, especially towards the end when we see how good Nick truly is, I also liked the unsuspected epilogue which added yet another twist to the story. Not only are Nick and Carol good characters we have the return of the other Bumblebees, Sam and Heather Nick's family, Ken and Marissa Carol's family and Justin a man Carol dates that is also in a wheelchair. I would love to have Justin's story (Hint Hint)
Chris Abel does a great narration keeping the story intriguing, great pacing and good voice.
Love is unconditional. It happens when you less expected.
This is my new favorite story among Ms. Rachelle Ayala's book next to Hidden Under Her Heart. This story is so unique. It is very emotional. Above all it is very sweet and delightful to read that will melt your heart like a marshmallow.
As always, Ms. Rachelle's characters is very extra ordinary. She knows how to pull out your head with some twist but in the end, you have no choice but adore and love the characters.
Bad boy Nick not only will drives you crazy with that looks and body but he will quench your heart with his amazing way despite his past. He is my hero in this story. He is vulnerable to show his heart for a woman who really he adores and love but gave him doubts. It is like a bow that hit you right into your heart. Love is unconditional and happens when you less expected.
If you love reading Christmas story, this book is even more than Christmas that will give you more meaning into the holiday. Life is too short that when accidents happen. You lose everything and life will turn upside down. This story is not only heart-warming but for me the hottest book I ever read from the author.
Disclosure:
I received an ARC of the book in exchange of my honest review.
ARC Review: Bad Boys for Hire: Nick by Rachelle Ayala
Before reading Carol and Nick's story I was a fan, now I have become an addict. Rachelle Ayala is one addiction I'll gladly own. What began as a sexy read emerged as an expedition of hope. Nick knows how to have a good time. His wicked charm and bad boy looks have landed him in some awkward situations but he's always emerged unscathed. Until he meets the one woman that changes everything. Carol is unlike any woman. Immune to his charm and with more strength than even she realizes. In one moment her world changed and left her broken, bitter and bruised. Uncertainty, anger and fear are proving an overpowering combination for the once fearless adventurer, until she finds courage from the most unlikely of sources. Nick had depths that were hidden well. He was more than the party boy with sex appeal. A fighter recognizes that same trait in others and his heart heard the cry of someone in pain and answered the call. Ms. Ayala managed to accomplish the one thing I did not expect. She delivered a story that brought on the waterworks.
Nick and Carol are definitely a tumultuous couple. There were times I absolutely loved them both, and then other times I would have gladly wrung their necks. However, that made for a great book that I couldn't put down!
The struggles Carol suffers while trying to come to grips with her new reality after a hiking accident seem so realistic. I can't even imagine being in her shoes. However, I love the fact that her disability isn't all that defines Carol. She is a vibrant character with her good points and flaws, and it was interesting to watch her progression.
Nick is a complete jerk at first! Boy, I didn't blame Carol for hating him because he was definitely worthy of hate. As things unfold and we learn more about Nick, and he learns more about himself, it's hard not to fall for him and wish for a Nick of your own!
Not a light read with real problems and issues for the characters to work through while they prepare for a holiday charity event. I'm happy to see the satisfying conclusion in this can't-put-down read.
This is one of the sweetest and most emotional stories I've read in a long time. Rachelle's books can be set apart from others because of the different real life elements she incorporates and this one is not an exception. She did her research and all the technical elements that she added blended beautifully in the story and added depth to the characters and the plot. Carol was into extreme sports, but her passion almost took her life when a bad step made her slip of a mountain and break her back losing the ability to walk. Nick is a nice guy in disguise, hiding behind his bad boy persona to keep cashing in until his boss puts him in a time out. While on his time out, he meets Carol and he's immediately drawn to her, going to extreme measures to get her attention and show her he's not such a bad boy after all and she can still live after her accident.
What a perfect story for a Christmas listen! Once again Rachelle Ayala has taken a sensitive subject and given it a voice. The third of the series, Nick is hired out to play Santa, not knowing he is going to meet the love of his life...and that she is paralyzed from the waste down. Ayala has created a story around the daily challenges that a paraplegic lives through and how this particular man sees the woman and not the wheelchair. The incredible amount of research that has gone into this sheds light on the day in and day out routine of someone who cannot walk. She shows us through Carol the frustrations that come with being disabled, as well as the joy and optimism. Carol's journey of self realization that life continues on after tragedy is one we all take in some form. And don't think there aren't and bumps in the road...Nick has a few obstacles to overcome himself to find his path clear to be with Carol. From his job at Bad Boys to Hire, there are repercussions that follow him and need to be dealt with. Together their will find their way. The encouragement this story brings through Nick and Carol will warm your heart and get you into the Christmas spirit.
Chris Abell is an amazing narrator, his voice is so even and mellow. He has such a wonderful cadence, has just the right level of emotion and brings the characters in his performances to life. I always look forward to hearing him.
I loved this story first of all christ mas in my favorite time of year and i love reading about christmas and this one was very different from others i have read. Carol Cassidy was in a bad climbing accident that left for paralized from the waist down and she was facing her first christmas in a wheel chair. I loved the great group of friends she had through out the story that really helped her have some fun this story in very entertaining in that when hiring a santa for a kids function she gets sexy bad boy Nick. the enteraction between both of them was great lots of ups and downs but over all a great love story. i highly recoment this book perfect for a cold winter day
Carol Cassidy's life has been turned upside down after a fall mountain climbing has left her a paraplegic. She is still bitter and resentful but slowly coming to the realization that she needs to get on with her life. Soon she meets two completely different men and needs to figure out which one might be right for her.
Jason Boyd is a patient of Carol's sister Marissa and was a firefighter until an accident left him in a wheelchair with less movement than Carol.
Nick Wolff works for Bad Boys for Hire Entertainment and when his "side jobs" become public knowledge he is placed on probation and stuck working as Santa for Christmas parties. When he meets Carol he realizes he may have feelings for this feisty woman who seems to really detest him.
Will Carol be able to decide who is the right guy for her or will past mistakes of these guys taint her idea of a future with either of them?
I enjoyed this book as it was different having a main character with such a disability. It was definitely an eye-opening read with how many limitations she had and how she really had so many personal concerns about getting close with someone with the lack of control she had over her body.
The book also does a good job at examining the notion of whether or not people can change and how we still perceive the worst of people due to their past mistakes. I personally found Nick was my favorite character from start to finish as he knew he had past mistakes and was trying to fix everything to the best of his ability as he waned to show how much he was changing.
Initially I didn't care for Carol as I found her so bossy and controlling but as I got to see more of her I realized it was because she was coming to terms with her new life and how everything had changed so much for her that she still didn't have a handle on everything.
Jason was a mystery to me as I can see that he is also trying to deal with all his life changes but I think there is still more to learn about him!
I loved reading this book. Carol is an incomplete paraplegic. Nick works at Bad Boys for Hire and is contracted to work as a Santa Claus for an event that Carol is putting on. Upon him walking into the bar that is the venue, they are attracted to each other. However, Carol protests his cocky, arrogant, self-assured attitude and wants to fire him. With not enough time for hiring a new Santa, they have to stick with him, much to her dismay.
Nick takes it upon himself to find out what Carol's wish is during the event and she wants him to follow someone around all day so that he can learn what it's like for someone in a wheelchair. They don't need the pity and all the help that a lot of people offer or force upon them. They are just like normal people only they have to have a different way of doing normal things and may take longer.
Honestly, I did NOT like Nick at the beginning of the book. He was my least favorite character at the beginning and I just wanted to reach through the computer screen I was reading on and deck him. Since that wasn't possible, I settled for strangling him in my imagination. LOL. Carol had her ups and downs on me liking her through the book. She was a strong character in most parts but had spots where I didn't think her attitude fit her character but I understand why those spots were necessary.
Overall, I would give this book 4.5/5 stars. It is definitely one of the better books I've read this year. I love that the author went with a female lead that wasn't a model/damsel-in-distress and that she had a disability. I really like that the author focused on some spots on different things that could help those that are in wheelchairs and some of them actually made sense.
While this is book three in the Bad Boys for Hire series, you do not need to read the books in order.
***I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.***
Bad Boys for Hire, Book Three: Nick Rachelle Ayala
What happens when a paralyzed woman meets the ultimate bad boy? They fall in love of course! In Bad Boys for Hire: Nick, Nick and Carol fall head over heels, defeating all obstacles and find a love that will last their lifetimes.
Carol was a professional mountain climber. She lived, worked and LOVED the physical release she got from climbing. She became a paraplegic when she went climbing alone and fell, resulting in her life to take a complete turn.
Nick is the ultimate bad boy. He is a dancer who didn’t mind private and after parties, performing for lonely women, married or not. Nick would “entertain” any lady that showed interest in him. Of course, this is totally against the rules of his agency.
When Carol needed to hire a Santa Claus for her charity’s Christmas Party, Nick showed up because he was on probation with the agency he worked for. He was no longer allowed to dance for parties, but he could play Jolly Saint Nick.
The moment Nick met Carol, he knew he wanted her. She resisted of course because she didn’t think he was serious about her. He didn’t want to be attracted to her, but couldn’t help himself. He even watched as she started dating a quadroplegic ex-firefighter.
Eventually, he made his feelings for her crystal clear and she took a chance on him. Even with the scandal surrounding him on his job, she fell hard for him. She learned a lot about herself in the process. They both discovered that they were stronger than they thought. She learned that she could do anything she put her mind to and he found that there was much more to him than the shallow, personal training dancer he pretended to be.
If you love a wonderful holiday love story, read Bad Boys for Hire: Nick. You’ll be amazed how much you’ll look forward to book four!
So what's better than a hot sexy romance story? Well a hot sexy Christmas romance story is definitely better. Rachelle Ayala is amazing at writing these sexy stories. I've read a few of her books and loved them! So I couldn't wait to read Bad Boys for hire: Nick.
Nick and Carol are so hot and adorable together. Their chemistry is undeniable. No matter how much the frustrate and piss each other off they can't stay away from each other. They are drawn together and that's what true love is!
Nick is a person I feel most like. He wants to please and help everyone even if it means giving himself up in the process. He did somethings he's not proud of but he did what he thought he needed to do. He is so sweet and understanding with Carol. He shows her that she can do anything she wants and to stop feeling sorry for herself. He truly is a perfect Saint Nick.
Carol was a active can do anything physically type person before her accident and now she feels angry and useless but what's people to see her as that strong person still. Losing her mobility of her legs ruined her life , so she thought, until Nick showed her love and life the way it's meant to be.
I just loved this story! There was a few times I wanted to just slap Carol for pushing people away but in the end I knew she had to fight and learn the hard way. The epilogue was perfect and brought tears to my eyes. I would love to hear more about them in the future but it was such a happy ending for all! I definitely give this book a must read!
I loved Bad Boys for Hire: Nick. I am not sure I have read any of Rachelle Ayala's other Bad Boys books so this is definitely able to be read as a standalone.
Nick is a very believable character. I understand his still living with relatives, even though he has a degree. He has an epiphany without seeing the three ghosts so common in stories set during Christmas time. I am still not quite sure what triggers is epiphany but he does have one. At his worst, he is basically selling himself. He is a personal trainer who charges more than average and then has clients sign agreements that sex is not part of the payment. Yet, sex is happening.
Carol is in a wheelchair. Ayala does a great job making her have just enough of a chip on her shoulder about her accident to make her truly believable. She is snarky and smart. Nick is enthralled by the fact she is in a wheelchair yet turns him down. She is annoyed he hits on her, believing it is solely because she is an easy mark.
This book is great to add to my read each year at Christmas time. I suggest you do the same.
I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
When a book starts off with “How many imes have I told you not to have sex?” it’s bound to be a steamy book. Or, that’s what I thought. While the book has some intense sex scenes in it, it’s not all about sex. The book was a good book, but the people, to me, seemed just a little fake. BUT again, that is just me. I overlooked that part and continued on with the book, not to be disappointed. Carol’s step sister Marisa annoyed me a little bit. I felt that Marisa felt that just because Carol was paralized from the waist down she didn’t deserve a man that had all function in his body, who could walk, so she tried to push Jason and Carol together. Nick changed his entire being to be the man that Carol wanted and deserved. Before meeting Carol, Nick was a bad boy, who knew what he wanted, who knows how to have a good time and this has landed him in some sticky situations. Then he meets Carol and after she tells him something while sitting in Santa’s lap, he realizes he wants to change, and change for the better he does. There is some heartache in the book, there’s love, there’s sex, there’s laughter and much more. I enjoyed reading this book
This book is one you want to read. It is unique and not like another book I have read. It takes on the main character being in a wheelchair after an accident and a good looking guy. The girl has to resolve her feelings and come to terms with what happened to her while realizing that a good looking guy can fall in love with her. Carol learns that she has more passion and “feeling” than what she thought she did.
I loved seeing the real life emotions and events in this book. I didn’t feel that I was reading another book, same story line, but different character’s names. This book was actually different. I thought the story was well put together. It grabbed your attention from the beginning. Once you start reading it is definitely hard to put down. You want to know what happens and will the girl finally get her dream man. I enjoyed seeing all the conflict and that it wasn’t an easy boy meets girl and they get together. It kept you on your toes waiting for the outcome.
This is the first book I have read by this author and will not be my last. I am definitely going to go back and read the first two books in the series. Great job R. Ayala!
Ok this was a very good HOT read, but, i have to admit at the beginning i did not like Nick, I thought he was full of himself, arrogant and at times mean and a bit degrading. Now Carol I loved, her badass attitude and the way she took no crap, she also puts on a brave face, but, most of all she didn't go for Nick's fancy lines and i loved the way she cut him down to size. There's a fine line between love and hate for sure in this read from these two LoL. My heart broke for Carol and everything she had been through and lost. As the story went on we got to see the amazing changes Nick's whole look on life and deep down he is a very loving caring kind hearted character who would do anything for anyone, he just seemed a bit lost at the beginning and being around Carol really helped him!! It wasn't all plain sailing for these two, they had some pretty big obstacles to get over. This was a warm funny eye opening HOT sexy read and I loved it!!! You should definitely take a chance on St. Nick and his Christmas Carol
I can honestly say that from the very first book I read by Rachel Ayala, Broken Build (a techno-thriller), back in 2013 I was hooked on this author. No matter what genre she is writing I know it is going to be excellent! Bad Boys for Hire: Nick is a Christmas romance--only you will not be quite sure if all will end well. Both Carol and Nick have deep insecurities which have to be overcome. It doesn't help that Nick's very recent past is haunting both him and Carol! There is an epitaph at the very end which will explain a lot and will also bring a tear or two to your eyes. It did mine. All I can say is Rachel Ayala has done it again. She has brought the feelings and lives of paraplegics in a gentle and uplifting way so that others will be able to understand and not shun them--but know that they can be much more and do much more then most of us give them credit for. Bad Boys for Hire: Nick
This book is the perfect romantic read for the holidays, especially if you're into bad boys!
Nick is an escort who takes the jobs he's assigned, including playing Santa for a toy drive. Carol is a wheelchair-bound former mountain climber who is trying to live her life and provide a better life for children in her situation.
When the two collide at the toy drive Carol finds Nick as sleazy, self absorbed and altogether irritating. But he makes her feel in a way that she hasn't since before her accident.
Can the two make it work? Or will Carol stick with the safe option?
This is the first of the Bad Boys for Hire series that I've read, and I definitely want to go back and read the rest! There are glimpses of the previous characters' lives in this book, and I love following through on people's stories to see how their lives turned out.
I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
Rachelle Ayala has the rare talent of making strange circumstances relatable. I am personally not wheelchair bound, praise the Lord, but while I can't claim to understand what Carol was feeling, I believe everyone has times when they fall victim to their own insecurities and fall short of some ideal they had once set for themselves. I can relate to her confusion as she tries to navigate such a drastic change in her life and mourns what she has no hope of regaining. I can even relate to that causing her to push away the love of her life.
The thing about this book, it's fiction, but it's life. It's love. As humans we have to deal with our individual baggage, and sometimes at the most difficult point we find it hard to believe anyone else would want to carry it with us.
This book seemed a testament to trials making us stronger.
Carol's life changed drastically 6 months ago when she was in a rock climbing accident that left her a paraplegic. Now, although she stays involved with her friends and life in general, there are many thing which she enjoyed that she can't do anymore. Carol is in charge of organizing her club's annual Christmas and Toy Drive. When Nick shows up to play Santa, Carol does not feel he is right for the job. And there is another problem, Carol is extremely attracted to him. Around the same time Carol's stepsister is trying to set her up with Jason, who is a recent quadriplegic, figuring that they will have a lot in common. Carol begins seeing both Nick and Jason socially, but who will make the better match? Will Nick's past be enough to turn Carol off? I really enjoyed this story. It deals with sensitive subjects and handles them well. Now I have to go back and read the rest of the series.
I love reading Rachelle Ayala's bad boys for hire series. This is another cute book. Bad boys for hire is an organization that helps women find what they need. In this case Nick is an escort who has gotten himself in a little bit of trouble. He has now been told that he can only do children's parties.
Nick is a very good looking man and he knows it. At every party he does he always has women falling at his feet. Now he is playing a Santa for disabled children. He meets Carol and they have a strong attraction towards each other but Carol finds Nick's arrogance a little to much to deal with.
Carol is in a wheelchair and she is having a hard time dealing with this herself. She feels Nick doesn't respect disabled people and she dislikes him for that.
Will they be able to work out their problems and find their happy ever after. Read the story and see.
This book leaves nothing to the imagination!! It has a good storyline about carol, who seemed to have everything she wanted and then had it all snatched away by making one mistake. It gives you an insight as to what her life was like before the accident without dwelling too much on her past, but also makes you realise how someone paralysed from the waist down has to re-adjust their lives to cope with everyday things that we take for granted like using a toilet.
The storyline was great in that it showed how someone (Nick) can turn their lives around when they find someone/something that they love or believe in. Loved the way carols friends helped her realise it was Nick she wanted. If your not used to reading the hot parts of the story you may find it a little explicit at times, but a really good storyline, and would love there to be a follow on.
It 's a romantic story full of tenderness and passion, funny and melancholic. This author is very good at creating funny and moving stories at the same time. Carol had everything she could wish until one day she lost everything in a moment. Her life has changed completely and she closed in on herself. When she meets Nick her life changed again: she is very attracted to him and he awakens feelings that she believed dead forever. But Carol is also dating Jason, a man much more like her than it is Nick. What will be the right man for her? Although it is part of a series can be read as a standalone but once read one you will want to read all of them. If you are looking for a pleasant and romantic book to read in front of the Christmas tree drinking a hot chocolate this book is perfect for you.
Nick is something of a playboy. He's constantly getting in trouble for having one night stands with the clients. He's sexy & good looking & he knows it. He's actually amazed that Carol isn't fawning all over him & grateful that he's spending time & attention on her.
Carol was an ultimate adventurer until too much guts & not enough caution propelled her off a cliff & into a wheelchair. Her sarcastic nature is hiding a lot of fear & uncertainty. She feels like she has accepted her situation when it's all a facade.
Interesting story where both characters learn a lot about themselves. Nick learns he has a serious side when it matters & Carol learns that she still is lovable & deserves a full life even if she's in a wheelchair. Not a quick easy read but a complicated emotional read.
I was surprised by how much I liked this book. I voluntarily accepted an advanced reader's copy of this book because I liked the author's "sweet" romances. I'm not really into contemporary bad boy romance. Nick was almost ready to change his ways when he met Carol. His past was catching up with him and things were starting to spiral badly out of control. Carol was angry and belligerent and not at all ready for a relationship. But life brought them together and they were in for a bumpy ride, full of misunderstanding and self-doubt on both sides. The twists and turns held my attention and I quickly became invested in seeing how it all played out. I shed some tears along the way and was quite satisfied by the outcome.
If you, like me, are a Christmas story “junkie” , you will enjoy this book and will remember it for a long time. The story centers around Nick and Carol. Carol, once an active person, finds herself in a wheelchair after a devastating accident. Nick, is a bad boy, and at first, I must confess, he was not my favorite person. As time goes on, we find that he is kind and wants to see Carol happy. At times you will want to cry, others, you just want to shake these two and quickly you will want to hug them. It’s emotional, thought provoking and worth your time. So , get ready for another great story by Ms Ayala.
I voluntarily reviewed this book and was not compensated in any way.
Nick Wolff is a Bad Boy for Hire employee and entertainer who is put on Santa Claus duty by his boss. He met Carol, a mountain climber who recently had a traumatic accident and is paraplegic. Nick and Carol had an explosive first meeting and their journey is difficult and endearing. Nick has to overcome his womanizer ways and reflects on what he wants for the rest of his life. Carol has come to terms to her disability and in all this turmoil find love with Nick the last person she ever thought she would turn out. This book is lovely, entertaining and a beautiful lesson of overcoming the difficulties that life bring us. Carol is an example to be followed!
This book is as always well written and performed. I read/listened to this book and think this story is a Christmas story that you will not soon forget. The storyline is unique and contains so many things that you usually don't consider, but this author presents them in such a way you will be more aware these issues in your day to day life. The characters are very realistic, they have traits that we experience everyday, and like the people you meet in real life they can take a bit to warm up to. But stick with this story it comes together in such a nice way it will be one you will remember for a long time. Highly recommend this book.
I liked this book but it was not as appealing as I had hoped for and I think it is because there was so much going on and that I couldnt keep up with all the twists and turns and had to go back and reread some chapters.
Overall it is a good book, and it is a very long book with a great story. it is not a book with a small problem during christmas and then in a heartbeat things will fix itself. this is something I liked and the lenght of the book is needed to tell the story.
