It's an introductory book of global history. It can help us to understand how the Modern World was made. The logic is clear and the content is informative, but the part about Asia is slightly inferior. Although the author's creative background is a reason that cannot be ignored, in contrast, "An Introduction to Contemporary History" by Geoffrey Barraclough and "Traditions & Encounters: A Global Perspective on the Past" by Jerry H. Bentley are better.
