The Jamison Sisters #2

His Scandalous Commands

Rate this book
She could sing like a hummingbird, had numerous platinum albums to her credit. But Lila Jamison, a.k.a. Delilah James, had no life. She went from concert to recording studio, working until she literally passed out. Fresh air, sleep and relaxation were the doctor’s orders. That’s how Lila found herself standing on her one hundred acre ranch with nothing but fresh air and pancakes to soothe her tired soul. Unfortunately, her ranch came with the hottest, orneriest, sexiest neighbor who had a horrible habit of stealing her pancakes. But was he the enemy? Was Jake really a reporter in disguise, ready to tell the world how sad and pathetic she was in real life? Someone was trying to kill Jake and was willing to hurt innocent bystanders to achieve that goal. So he headed out of the cities and to his ranch in Montana where he could spot a stranger from miles away. So what was he to do about the beautiful red-head that came to town the day after his arrival? Surely this couldn’t be his assassin, he thought. She didn’t even know how to eat pancakes properly! So what was the mission she was here to accomplish? Who was this mystery woman who couldn’t lie to save her soul but adopted every pathetic creature who limped onto her ranch?

USA Today™ best-selling author Elizabeth Lennox writes contemporary romance novels featuring sheiks, business tycoons, royalty, and other sexy rich men. Along the way, she received a BS in History and held different jobs in the real estate, government consulting, and financial industries. All during that time, though, she was always writing, using her personal experiences, dreams, and travels throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as backdrops for her stories. To date, she has written over eighty books and sold over 5.1 million copies. Her free novellas have been downloaded over 8 million times since 2013.

Elizabeth lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. Their home is just outside of Washington, D.C., and many of her novels are set in this area.

Loved it.
Sweet and funny love story of Lila and Jake.
When pop star Lila faints during a concert, her manager Marcus and sister Kara send her for a vacation.
Jake on the other hand is a rich businessman trying to escape an assassin.
When they have a chance encounter at a diner, they immediately fall for each other and have some of the sweetest and funniest interactions ever.
Really enjoyed the raccoon/ penis scene- and Lila was such a cute character with her animal love.
It would have been total 5 stars until the misunderstanding! I'm upset Jake didn't listen to his heart- and also that Lila didn't make him grovel more.
However, when you end up book with hero surrounded by kittens, it's bound to make a reader happy.
Another gem by EL. One of my favorite series now.
Safe read

There was nothing scandalous about his command.

The mystery or as I insist on calling it the confusion was annoying, he was highly rude with her and she simply forgave him cause he came to her rescue when someone else called him! ( mind you she didn't initiate that call) the sex was boring, the lead up was also annoying!

The saving grace was that the writing was not cringe worthy....i have lately had the misfortune of bad, cringe worthy writing, and this was not in that category.

There is a lot of potential in this author....she just needs to pay attention to character development which should not be confused with internal dialogues! good lord! everyone had there two cents of internal dialogues! if the animal could speak , even they would have had their two cents!

Please Please please pay attention to story development ! the story line could easily be a best seller with overhauling in story development!!

A very good book

This is the 2nd book in the series and it was very good. The h was a very good, sweet, beautiful and kind person, she was a famous singer who needed to hideout for awhile to relax and get healthy. The H was being threatened, someone was trying to kill him so he went to his ranch to draw out the person. They thought the other was there to reveal her secret or kill him. It was a very cute and sweet story. Great ending.

Beautiful Love Story

Men are from Mars, Women from Venus. Women and men think and understand things differently but when a woman and a man get on the same waive link and their hearts and minds sinc it's a beautiful thing. There is nothing better than a HEA and no one delivers one any better than Elizabeth Lennox....as a devoted reader I'm a fan.

This story had me laughing so hard. I've actually read it twice now and have loved every word of it. Jake is an idiot but a sweet one. Lila is so loving and cute. They make a fabulous couple and I truly enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend it 🤠😽💓💣🐎🐕🐈

Adorable and Funny

Loved the comedy almost as much as loved the simple yet steamy sex scene. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is the story was too short. Kudos to Elizabeth Lennox for another winner .

Awesome book

I love Elizabeth Lennox Books. They're always so full of heart and passion and they're just slightly out there in the realm of "like that would ever happen!" but not so far out there that it suspends all belief. For instance, a sheik falling for a normal woman from America? Like that would ever happen! But that doesn"t happen in this book. A singer falls for a billionaire which is more plausible. But they of course don't know each other's true identity. In this book, both hero and heroine are keeping secrets and they of course get the way of HEA for a while, but it all works out in the end! The book was a delightful, fun read, full of heart, humor, and passion. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance, and suggest you read "His Erotic Obsession" to learn more about Lila's manager Marcus and his love, Rebecca.

Fabulous story make sure you have plenty of reading time set aside you won't be able to put this one done! This is Lilah Jamison's story after a breakdown due to exhaustion the singer get away to Montana to recuperate and there meets her man Jake. Of course not all is easy Jake has escaped to Montana because someone is trying to kill him.
