I love Nikki Lynn Barrett! She is one of my favorite romance writers and with each book she writes, the more I want of her characters. Matt and Kyra are one of my favorite fictional couples and I definitely want more from them!

I love this series! To get the most out of this book, you should read Fallen Idol first. I am glad that Matt and his son Andrew is able to go on the first week of the tour with Kyra and Baby Stetson. I know it really opened Matt’s eyes to see how much work it is for Kyra. I’ve enjoyed seeing Matt and his son Andrew build on their relationship since Matt’s ex poisoned Andrew’s mind. I love Andrew and how he has taken to Kyra. Kyra is such a good influence on Andrew. I feel bad for Andrew and the surprise he gets from him mother. But Kyra has a wonderful surprise that Andrew will never forget. It is funny how Matt is trying to ask Kyra to marry him and something happens that stops him from asking. The pranks that Kyra and Baby Stetson play on each other are so funny. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Skyrocket (Love and Music In Texas, #6) by Nikki Lynn Barrett
Yes, the awesome country singer Kyra Sanders is back! New songs, new band opening for her on this The Bare My Soul tour. She had her boyfriend Matt and his son Andrew out on the tour for the first week.
The new band opening for her is Baby Stetson and they are rearing to go on this their first big tour. Eventually they will move to Nashville.
Matt’s first marriage ended and his ex-never wanted their son Andrew and right before they left with Kyra he received a letter that made it official that she was giving up all parental rights for Andrew. That would hurt Andrew so badly. Then Kyra tells Matt that his ex-had actually signed up with the same agent that Kyra has.
Andrew had instead of becoming angry turned to writing poems that he hoped he could turn into songs and also had learned to play guitar. When he asked Kyra for help she gladly gave it.
A few things happened out on that first week of the tour such as Matt went out on stage to bring Kyra back to focus when she seemed not right and sang with her. He had never sung for her before or for anyone and so this was a huge shock. Kyra also asked Andrew to come and play a few songs on one of the sets that she was playing. At that point Matt was shocked.
Matt tried several times to propose to Kyra however each time something happened. From a phone call from Kendra, his ex to a string ray’s sting etc. But he planned for a much more special time to do it.
One band member dealt with paranoia about a face from the past, another got unexpected new and everyone’s life was in chaos.
But the tour and Kyra, Matt & Andrew’s life with me something special to always remember.
If I could give this author ten stars I would and trust me when I say you will not be disappointed in reading this!!!

Kyra Sanders is back and ready to go back on tour but this time she is bringing Baby Stetson and her boyfriend Matt Greer and his son Andrew along with her. As the excitement builds this is the perfect time for things to go wrong and they sure do!
From Andrew having problems with his mom to one of Baby Stetson's band members going missing to countless pranks this is definitely going to be one unforgettable tour!
Wow - this book definitely had it all.
As a single parent I was like WTF when it came to what was happening with Andrew! I don't know how Kendra could pull off what she did but wow. As the story went on I was so impressed with Andrew and how he dealt with it all. Such an amazing moment!
Blaine cracked me up from start to finish with her overload of emotions and how she was dealing with it all. Yet at the same time I was happy that she was able to go let Randy perform and live his dream!
I absolutely love Matt and Kyra and I am overjoyed with much of the stuff that happened between the two and how the one night he was able to help her overcome her fears. These two are so awesome together and although they are fiction I am still jealous!!
This book had so many laughs and many moments where I wanted to cry! These characters have definitely been placed in my heart and I certainly hope the author is able to write more and more stories with all these characters!!

Kyra Sanders is heading out on her come back tour "Bare My Soul"...and she sure does (Bare her soul, that is!!) As Kyra heads out, taking Baby Stetson as her opening band....and her Boyfriend Matt, along with his son Andrew, accompany them for the first week.
I have to say...I have been waiting for this book...and LOVED IT!! I cried on and off from the very first chapter. Laughter follows throughout as the bands prank each other along the way. I was heartbroken while reading about what Andrew's mother did to him.....I can't believe how selfish some "parents" can be. Andrew really shows how much he is growing up by the way he handles the whole situation. And poor Matt.....something always gets in the way of his very important talk with Kyra. The poor guy can't catch a break.
As usual, Ms. Barrett triggers every emotion possible throughout her story. The story is very well written and the characters are well developed. I am so looking forward to Marty's story coming next year. I definitely recommend this book!!!

I really enjoyed reading Skyrocket and catching up to many of the characters introduced to us in earlier Love and Music in Texas books.
Kyra Sanders is heading out on her first tour since her breakdown and she is taking along Baby Stetson along as her opening act. Love and hi-jinks ensue as the tour gets going. The stress of touring and the ever-invasive and speculative press, everyone is under pressure. How everyone bands together to deal is great.
To top it off, Matt is trying to find the perfect time and setting to propose to Kyra, but every time he is about ready to get down on his knees, something comes up to cause a delay. Will he ever get it done?
This is another winning entry from Nikki Lynn Barrett. She is a master of taking issues that many of us face and turning them into heartfelt, emotional and entertaining stories.

Nikki Lynn Barrett has done it again in bringing us back to a family of musicians who are making waves in the country music in Texas. It might have all started with Baby Stetson but this is a group of people I am loving. I fell for Matt and Kyra when they first met together and seeing how far they have become is sweeter than ever. Have to say Matt is one man who knows what he wants and Kyra is his forever. I feel sorry for Andrew and really hope this doesn`t make him bad only better. The love Kyra and Matt have is stronger than ever and boy once the time is right get ready for it. Nikki Lynn Barrett brought these two together in a way that well just makes you all sweet and gooey inside. Here is a woman who deserves happiness and a man who is ready for a second chance at happiness. Loved it and cannot wait for more in this series.

I have read every book in the Lover and Music in Texas series and this one does not disappoint! I have become immersed in the lives of these characters and am looking forward to the next books in the series.

FANTASTIC!!!! This book is heartfelt and emotional. It brought just about every one of my emotions. I even cried. Nikki Lynn Barrett undid herself in this book. This a highly must read book.

I could not put this book down. The author has away of making you feel like your catching up with friends and not reading a fiction story. I just loved the characters in this book. I loved Andrew and that he made another appearance in this story, he’s a good kid put into a rough situation but takes it in stride. I like how he seem to have a good head on his shoulders I loved Kyra and Matt they both have insecurities but they continued be strong and fight through whatever they face. I loved also being able to catch up with Baby Stenson. Y’all this book was truly a fun read and I can’t wait for more. This book does have the indication of sex and some adult language but overall not bad at all so worth the read.

It was awesome that Matt and Andrew got to go along on the tour. Andrew was put through a rough situation with his mother but, he seems to have taken it in stride especially what his mother did to him. Matt and Kyra continue to be strong and work through their insecurities. I feel that Andrew will go places in the music business but, decided that he won't try it until after he is done with school. I was have to catch up with Baby Stetson. This book had a hint of sex and some adult language in it but, it was an awesome read!! I am looking forward to the next book. I truly loved this book!!

Two words... Absolutely brilliant!
Skyrocket is perfectly written, unique, wonderfulness and it's Kyra's story of her come back tour and both Matt and Andrew go along for the first week!!
Skyrocket is a lovely read and once again I felt like I was actually a resident of Harmony Echo.totally blew the others all away... The next book (7) is Baby Stetson's story of the tour!so these two need to be read together.
I will be rereading this over and over again. I strongly recommend this book and the whole series 5*+

"Skyrocket" by Nikki Lynn Barrett is book number six in the "Love and Music in Texas". This is country music star Kyra Sanders and Matt Greer's story.
Matt went through a bitter divorce since his ex-wife was more concerned about her music career than her family. Kyra and Matt's relationship is going great despite Matt's feelings about the music industry.
Kyra just released her come back album and her tour is starting. She is worried that her being on tour will make Matt walk away. Matt and his son are going on the first leg of the tour. Matt has some plans up his sleeve while on tour but will his plans fall through?
This is a sweet story about second chances in life such as career choices, families, and true love. I really enjoyed Kyra and Matt's characters. Matt's son Andrew was great too. Maybe, Andrew needs his own story when he is older.

Loved this book
Easy read, well written, a few editing pickups, but nothing that got in the way of the story. I love HEA and this series is full of them.
