One of those odd books that is too technical to be enjoyed by a casual reader and not technical enough to be useful for a professional. It functions decently as a 101 to plants in archaeology and has quite a few interesting facts on how ancient people used the myriad of natural resources, but packed between forgettable descriptions of the state of the discipline in the 1960s.
