His beach-perfect body and rugged Australian accent made him the envy of everyone who knew him. Guys wanted to be like him, girls wanted to be with him.
He lived with us after he lost his parents. We bonded in ways I never expected, but Luke kept his distance for reasons I never understood.
Sometimes I hated him, especially when he got himself into trouble and vanished. I never knew what became of him. My parents wouldn't allow it. They said he was dangerous...
Seven years later, we've collided once again. His cockiness matured into a more subdued, strong confidence. He may still have that dark side, but I'm drawn to him more than I ever was, and this time he's not pushing me away.
Secrets have a way of coming to light, and when the truth about what happened back then is revealed, nothing will be the same.
This is a full-length bad boy romance with HEA and no cheating. Previously published as "Tameless" for a short time in the summer of 2015, this novel has been reworked by the authors and now includes an all-new ending.
This was another first for me from these authors! And I must say it was not that bad. I'm very cautious of new authors, so for my first time reading it was just okay.
Luke's parent died in a car accident and his father's business partner took him. They had a daughter named Dawn and for most of their childhood they grew up together just like sibling. But when they became teenagers Luke started having feelings for Dawn, but he never told her. Senior year and Luke started doing drugs. Dawn's father found out and threw him out of the house. And Dawn never saw Luke again.
Seven years later Dawn and Luke meet up in a club and have a 'moment'. But Dawn doesn't know it's Luke her childhood friend. Until they meet again in a shop and she finds out he is back in Town. All the memories and feelings come back and she finally decides to do something that she's never done before.
This story had lots of twists that you don't see coming and the romance of the whole story was just okay for me. I wanted more drama and more angst. But that's just me. It might be better for you! :-)

Dawn had no idea that the man she met at the masked club was from her past. She only knew that in that moment she had met someone that made her feel more than she ever had. When Dawn sees Luke at an apartment store she is surprised to see him. It had been years since her father had kicked him out. All those memories came flooding back and she finds herself reaching out to him. Two people torn apart then finding each other again was opening doors in memories. Now they are both going to find out that secrets of the past can still cause pain in the future, their future. What the twists and turns in this book unfolds is a treat for the reader and I really couldn't put it down once I started reading it.
This is the love story of Luke and Dawn. When Luke's parent died in a car accident he had no. Dawn's parents took him in, her parents were really good friend with Luke's parent. Luke got in to drug and by the time he was eighteen Dawn's parents kicked him out of the house. Years later Luke sees Dawn at a club and starts to dance with her but they are wearing mask and Dawn doesn't know its Luke. This story is really well written and has a lot of twist you don't see coming. I really got in to the different people and cried a few times. I enjoyed it so much I would recommend you this book. I was given this book for my honest opinion. I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
This is like a lust out of nowhere after not seeing your friend for so long. Okay so maybe there was that scene where they saw each other again after years without really recognizing each other.
I thought the story went really well, like, the flow was really smooth and there wasn't too much drama even though I thought the heroine was acting off after the conflict. I actually expected some big and explosive conflict but either way I was satisfied with how the book went. The characters were good, they were portrayed well but I'm just not really partial with the heroine. I didn't really connect much to her like I did with the hero because I kind of think sometimes her actions aren't very mature and off but, I did find both characters fit for each other.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Aussie is a story all about second chances and revelations. For Luke, it is his chance to overcome the stigma of tragically losing his parents at a young age, drug addiction, and walking away from his first love withoyt ever telling her. For Dawn, it is her chance to tell the one man that she has always loved that she wants to be with him, and not like a brother! What these two don't realize is that Dawn's parents have been hiding a secret that could tear them spart! Aussie is a sweet romance with an HEA, that will have you cheering for the underdog and applauding the small victories they enjoy.
A second chance romance. This is very well written with the characters well thought out and engaging. Luke lost his parents at a young age and meet Dawn when he was taken in by her parents. He left abruptly due to a bad situation. Years later they meet again at a masked club and have a sexy, hot, sensual encounter and Dawn doesn't know it's her youthful crush, Luke. He knows it's her though... Can they get past lies, mistakes, and misconceptions? I highly recommend this book! I can't wait to see what these authors come yup with next!
I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.
Dawn and Luke found love as teenagers but Dawn’s parents pushed Luke away and out of Dawn’s life. When they cross paths again, they find that the feelings they had as teenagers never went away. Can they find their way back together? As the sparks fly between them, secrets are revealed which could tear them apart forever. This is a fun, sexy romance with a great blend of drama. I found myself drawn into the characters and their struggles to find their dream careers while traversing the land of relationships and love.
I just can not resist a good accent, and in this story, Luke has a really good one. This hot Aussie has more than his share of bad luck. A accidental reunion with the girl who's family took him in when he was a child was not part of his plan. I loved this story, it did not matter who or what tried to break this couple up, their love and belief in each other keep them strong. This is a great read with lots of sizzle!
This review is from: Aussie: A Bad Boy Second Chance Romance (Paperback) I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is my first book from Kate Dawes and I really enjoyed the story of Dawn and Luke. This is a very well written book.
The past does not always stayed buried and for Dawn and Luke after finding each other after several years it can either make or break them. Once I started it was hard not to finish it all at 1 time it was that good.
I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.
