Lost Love Trilogy #2

Thirty Days Part 2

Rate this book
“Life is not always as it seems, Abigail, it can be masked by many disguises.”

Memories are defined as the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information.

What would you do if you learned your memories were incorrect? That they’d been stored to hide a bitter truth? Is this even possible?

Abigail McMillian knows now it is, after a life she chose to forget—a life she chose to change, comes flooding back. Suffering from retrograde amnesia triggered by a fall, Abigail must now try to piece together her real memories from the ones she fictionally created.

Face to face with Marcus again, the love of her life and the man she’s forgotten for seven years, Abigail’s left with one decision to make:
remember the pain she chose to erase, or remain forever blissful, fictitious in a world of her own creation.

That’s unless all is not what it seems.

It had been a wee while since I had read Thirty Days Part # 1, but as soon as I started reading this book as it had picked up where the first book finished all the memories of the story started to rush back to me. Abigail has learned that she had a life before Mike and that life included Marcus, a guy whom she was about to say "Yes' to when she fell off the cliff and hit her head and ended up with amnesia. He stepped away as he felt it was for the best, I still say stupid guy as I never fully understood his reasonings. Now Abigail's memory is starting to come back and Marcus is there by her side. The thing is though that Abigail is still angry at everyone hiding things and secrets from her and this part I am still confused about why. I was hoping that in Thirty Days #2 we would see Abigail accepting her life and slowly moving forward back to her relationship with Marcus. Yet that doesn't happen as she is still putting up these unnecessary walls around her and drinking herself silly. I enjoyed parts of this book as I am a fan of the amnesia storyline but other parts not so much as I have said in other reviews plenty of times - I am not a game player and it is one of my pet hates. It's like why string the poor bugger along, tell them how you really feel. Like the first book, Part #2 also ended up on a major cliffhanger which means now I can't wait for Part #3 to finally found out whether Marcus and Abigail will ever get their HEA that they deserve or will life keep chucking obstacles in their way and they be a couple that no matter what they will always be pulled apart.

Why???? He is her Soul-Mate. Why has she forgotten him? Beautiful, sad and sexy.

OMG after finishing Part One, and reading the blurb for Part Two, my heart was broken for Marcus. Seven years. Seven years is how long he has gone without Abi. She’s forgotten him, been engaged to another man, and her life has fallen apart. He’s had to watch this and stay away. Why? OMG how could he have handled this!!!!!!
…and part two picks up exactly where Part One finished. So you know that you absolutely have to have read Part One first.

Once again, Abigail is lying on the ground. This time she’s thankful. Having survived the cliffhanger from part one. She’s alive.

Thirty Days Part Two is about the journey that Abigail and Marcus, her Mother and best friend Sammy go on as Abi endeavors to adjust to the fact that she knows memories are missing and tries to remember not only the what, but the why. Why did her mind want her to forget, and why won’t the others just tell her WTF it is that she’s forgotten. Hell!!! I just want to know why as well.

Finally, Abi and her mother go to visit Mar-Mar, her Nana. And Mar-Mar has quite a bit to say….

Part Two really fills out the story of Abigail and Marcus that started in Part One, and it finished at a natural pause, almost as if a breath is about to be taken before finishing a special project, or working toward an immanent deadline. Belle’s next book, Finding The Magician is certainly up there as one of my most anticipated books this year.
I received a copy of Belle Brookes’ Thirty Days Part Two as a gift, and not as an exchange for a review.

*I received a free copy of 30 Days: Part 2. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review which is honest and unbiased.*

Again, the re-haul of this story truly made it a lot better, tighter, and sweeter! I enjoyed my new foray into Abi's life so much, and I just can't wait for Part 3 to arrive!

This book continues bright where part 1 ended. I absolutely loved this book. Just as much of not more than the first one. The way the author takes you on the journey right along with Abigail in learning every single secret and lost memory piece by piece. I'm still in awe at how the story leapt from the pages. I could not read fast enough. I am now off to read the final book because I need to know what happens. NOW!!!

Dear Belle Brooks, you may have a sweet name after a Disney Princess, but YOU ARE EVIL! Your new levels of evil has shot you up the list of authors trying TO KILL ME DEAD, and you will forever be known as a #EVILWHOREQUEEN in land of evilwhoredom! Yeah this review is going to full of dramatic girly girl emotions that won't be tamed at this point! So let's get to it. First, you must read Part 1 in order to understand what is going on, as Part 2 is the continuation of Marcus and Abigail's story. Secondly, I can give no more hints to this story or I'm going to give everything away as I can barely contain myself. The character development is great, with a cast of very entertaining secondaries, (Mar-Mar is GREAT)! With this entertaining cast of secondaries, comes some very well placed humor that is so hilarious that my stomach really hurt from laughing. Once again, Belle Brooks brought a brilliant story that is heart wrenching with an angst level second to none, and unfortunately for me, my tough football exterior had leaky eyes. Bigger twists and turns made for an EPIC f-bomb parade that may never end, and this time, the names I called her were serious colorful metaphors! She's holding me hostage in her brilliant world, and it hurts so good as I can't get enough, but I'm barely hanging on after the way she left me hanging this time! Now the stalking won't be so secret, as this time I'm going balls to the wall stalker until I get the next book! WHICH CANNOT COME QUICKLY ENOUGH, so since my dramatic girly girl emotions are way out of control, I'm going to end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING Thirty Days Part 2! And trust when I say, strong emotions like I have, deserve more than a 5 Star rating!

Five Fabulous Stars! This is the second part of the Thirty Days Series and should definitely be read in order to fully understand the story. We pick up where part 1 left off and continue Marcus and Abigail's story. The story was just as amazing as the first book! I don't want to give away too much of their story but we continued with Abigail and Marcus's ups and downs in their relationship. The author writes a beautiful story that had me hooked from the first few pages. Ms. Brooks is a new author with this being her second published book and she does an amazing job! The story has plenty of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this series and cannot wait for the next book!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

Plot: 5

Holy Cow! I cannot believe I have to wait to finish this series. If you haven't read part 1 go get it and start there or be lost! Part 2 picks up right where part 1 left off and like true Abi she seems to think it is all her fault and has to complain about it! We get more of the past and fall more in love with Marcus. But every time I think we get our HEA another twist happens and we don't. Again Abi's moods gave me a little whiplash but I throughly enjoy her character. The ending had me feeling "ugh!" and now we wait for the next book.

Once again Belle Brooks has had me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This is the 2nd part in the trilogy and has been updated. I read the original release and now the updated version and loved it even more now.

Take a chance on this trilogy if your looking for a great story that will make you feel. Heck just take a chance on it! I don't think you will be disappointed.

I’m not going to fill your head with spoilers.

What I will say is that you need to read part 1 for this to make any sense ! So if you haven’t go ahead and do that now !

The same intrigue, along with the turn of events and the twists just keep coming in this book. The writing style is steady and the story flows.

The characters get a little more addictive, and I find myself more aware of the little things as I read, trying to work out what will happen and then being totally wrong, but that’s a good thing !

I’m invested now, I need to know what happens next bring on book 3

OMG!!! After having read Book 1, I expected more of the same but this is nothing like the first book at all. I was totally sucked in to the story!
Abi's life fell apart and she spiralled out of control. But her mother, Sammy, and all her friends are there for her. And a wonderful grandmother too.
Here Abi has to work at getting her memories back and see if she can build a picture of what her life used to be about. And then decide how she's going to move forward. Fabulous reading.

3.5 stars. The first book was ok. With it being a cliff hanger I had to read book 2 and this one is also a cliff hanger. I like Abi and Marcus but there are lot more questions than answers and I found myself saying "what" to many times. Don't get me wrong I like a book with suspense and keeps you interested but it has to make sense and flow. I found there were times that this didn't do that for me.

Ok so this is part 2 of Brooks books. It picks up from book 1 & flows right on through. Your questions will be answered & she keeps you hanging on wanting to know what else is going to happen. The writing is great & you will not want to put it down.

I received an ARC for an honest review

Abigail and Marcus story continues in part 2. Abigail’s past comes back, confusing her and throwing her into a tail spin. Moments forgotten, new moments created, and an ending that keeps us guessing, will make you crave more.

I still don't like Abigail, but that's ok, I love to hate her...annoying little twat. I still am glued to this story though and need to know what happens next.
Life is becoming good, memories come back and we take 10 steps back while she has another tanty. Then life is good again and she remembers good stuff. Then the author throws this massive twist at the end and my head is still spinning...what the? what the?....OMG I need the next book.

OMG people .... so I thought that I would be able to be less cryptic than I was in my review of Part 1 with this book, but I seriously cannot in good conscious tell you a damn thing about this plot. #sorrynotsorry

However, I can tell you how captivating this story is. How true to its characters it is. Belle Brooks doesn't waiver in the story-line. Nothing is out of place and nothing seems just there. Looking back to Part 1, I naively thought that part of the story was twisty .. you ain't seen nothing yet! AND I LOVED EVERY WORD. There's nothing like reading a book that keeps you on your toes. And there's nothing like reading a trilogy that is well defined. You see, these first two parts didn't end in a cliffhanger just for shock value. The story demanded that there be a pause. A turn, if you will. It is the perfect way to tell the story of Abigail and Marcus.

I can honestly say that I have no idea what to expect of Part 3 in this journey. I know what I wish to happen, but it isn't my story to tell. I am very much looking forward to the winding path that Abigail and Marcus take to have a future together...maybe...

Belle Brooks ... I've got my eye on you ... you have mad skills with words woman and I love it!

Abigail and Marcus continue down the slippery path of rekindling their relationship after multiple cosmic interferences. Abigail soon uncovers some very difficult truths about herself and her accident along the way. What happens when she's awakened to the realities of her plight remain quite shocking and unbelievable. Even though these truths are Abigail's to learn, she's still in a state of disarray.

Belle Brooks exquisitely maneuvers through Thirty Days Two with the same surreal approach of Thirty Days One, which actually filters into the motif of the puzzle Brooks paints. Brooks creates misty messages and leaves little Easter eggs along the path for the reader as she builds to the paradoxical climax. She's strewn together a string of high and low points, happy and painful memories which appear disjointed until the reader examines the foreshadowing actions of each character as they skip down Abigail's reawakening. Brooks leaves you ready to completely unwrap and embrace the rebirth of a broken Abigail and a driven Marcus.

I thought I had a measure of this author’s twisted mind after Part 1 but oh no!!! Part 2 has just proved to me that anything can happen in this brilliant series and frequently it does.

It is difficult to review this book without revealing too much, so I shall simply say that Marcus is just so sexy and perfect...even when his decisions seem wrong, they’re always as a result of good intentions, and Abigail is just so wonderfully crazy...even though she is damaged in so many ways, she still remains strong and resolute.

These two great protagonists are surrounded by a wonderful cast of loving and supportive family and friends who enrich the story and provide light relief and great words of wisdom in equal measure.

This is an entrancing tale of loss, love and rediscovery, not to mention scorching hot sex, snd just like the first book in the series, this book will lead you down a rabbit hole that will leave you asking where does reality start and fantasy end...I received an advanced copy of the revised edition of book from the author.

OMG, is all I can say... Part two was more than amazing and I wish I could rate it more then 5 stars. I am so in love with Abi and Marcus that I need their story to continue forever. I still love Sammy and her never ending friendship and protection to Abi. Once again I was crying my eyes out and loving every minute of it. The ending completely blew me away and I wasn't expecting any of that to happen..... major twist dropped right on you once you thought you figured everything out! Some new characters were introduced that I couldn't have loved more. You get some words of wisdom, and just as you need healing, your family is right there for you. I can't give anything away so I'll stop here!

I can't say it enough--- read these books! You will not regret it, you will not be disappointed and you will fall whole heartedly in love with the story. <3

I can't wait to see what book 3 has in store.

Wow, I think this book was written better than the first one, keep up the great work Belle! The first one wasn't bad don't get me wrong, this one was just better. In order to understand what is going on you need to read Part 1 first. The ending though! Why do you do this to us!?!?!?! Belle kills me with her endings (in a good way)! Can't wait for Part 3.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was really incredible how Marcus is entered her life it was like a dream come true it showed us how to forgive others after they make a mistake.the sad part of the book is that it was a dream of her future and she had to live so it becomes real..

'The world is a fickle place. Life can be cruel, but it can also be very kind. It can be hard to take at times, but it is also filled with incredible beauty and wonder. Life really should be cherished and treasured - never referred to as a curse. Now i'm telling you, through all its highs and all its lows, you need to appreciate every minute of time you get to stay here'.

The continued story of Abigail's life in this second book is filled with powerful life lessons and humour.

The authors ability to describe some situations in a manner which is hilarious and unique makes this book a fun loving enjoyable read.

The story deals with some complex issues which are heart warming and gives food for thought.

The characters in the book are written in a manner which makes you instantly connect to each of them and their individual ways. The friendship group are fantastic and the description of one of their experiences with pregnancy and child birth is high hitting belly laughing material.

The ending takes such a twist that comes so unexpected and has left me dying to read book three but also with a massive book hangover that has me overthinking what has happened and whirling the book over and over in my head.

For a heartwarming story with a psychological twist this is a one click and will not disappoint.

Favourite quotes:

'Now, Love. Love Is the best gift we receive here on this earth. Once we find its truest form, we should never let it go... Not in anger, not even in hardship and most definitely not when our memories fails us'.

'Every storm that passes through, every flaw that fills a picture, Abigail is only a mere moment in time. It can't always be perfect. How you see a situation is always unique and decided by the eyes of it beholder. You can keep running my girl, you can keep denying what's meant to be, or you can find the beauty and create your own perfect images'.

'life is not always as it seems Abigail. It can be masked by many disguises'.

What The Actual Bleep? Epic!
This book picks up exactly where the first book, Thirty Days Part 1, left off. That left us with a nosedive of a cliffhanger! Thankfully, this amazingly new and talented author, Belle Brooks, who I was introduced to through Blind Date With A Book (thank you!), only had readers wait a short time for this book. Can you guess how long? 30 days! Now, this series is going to have three books. Only one more book to go, and you have 30 days to read and catch up, before the last book, The Magician, comes out. Don't worry, there are no spoilers in my review! However, this is Book 2, so I'm going to try & not spoil the first one. I will do my best & this will not be a great review because of it, but I don't know if it would measure up to the book anyways! My recommendation, read them! Stop here & read them! You do have to read these in order, since as I said before, this book picks up where the first one left off. Abigail believes she is cursed/hexed and tells the story of why she believes this to everyone. People who become background characters and try to give her advice and reasoning that she isn't, it's just life! Her closest friends, those who have stood by her through everything, including her best friend Sammy. Those two are a riot sometimes, with nicknames for each other, Abi is Dorothy & Sam is Ginger! Marcus, Hottie McHottie, enough said on how he is! The author once again, pulls you into this crazy world she created, and has your emotions all over the place. I laughed, cried, wanted to throw my eReader, laughed, and cried some more! This book has so many twists & turns. When you think you have it figured out...wham! Welcome to the end & the cliffhanger of a lifetime! I can't wait another thirty days! I don't think Abi can wait thirty days! Can you? What's in the box?
