Giovanni is out for revenge, his whole family mother father and sister have been killed in cold blood and he's on a mission to kill everyone involved and he'll stop at nothing until he gets it done, he's consumed with his need for revenge.
Then he meets Alessandra and there's something about her he can't shake off, she's different and gorgeous and he finds he can't stay away but then he discovers who she is, she's the daughter of Don Pavoni the man who ordered the hit on his family.
Alessandra has lived her life more or less by her parents rules, ok so she has a burner phone but a girl's got to have some privacy, she lives at home and is constantly watched but then she meets Gio and decides he's worth a little risk.
Gio is an arrogant prick but then we knew that from the title, or at least he is in the beginning the more the story progresses the more we see the real man.
I have to admit I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected, ok you're probably wondering why I'd read a book I didn't expect to enjoy?
Long story short I needed some mindless fluff with a HEA the book I'm supposed to be reading is heavy and too emotional right now so I was looking for something else, my expectations weren't very high but I found I really enjoyed this.
The characters were good the story was interesting and I found myself pleasantly surprised.
I did think the end was too rushed and without making this a spoiler review I'll just say that one of the characters came across as more of a petulant child at one point and I felt this could have been done better. Also some of the dialogue felt a little strained at times but that could just be me being picky.
On finishing this book I found that if you sign up to the authors newsletter or email her then you'll get an exclusive extended epilogue when it's ready (21st September) so I'll be waiting for that.
This is an enjoyable read especially when you consider its the first book by this author.

Spoiler Ahead This was a good read. Giovanni is out for revenge. His entire family was murdered in cold blood and if he has anything to say or do about it, justice will be served by his own hands. The police have their suspicions but there is no proof as to what happened to his family. Giovanni is a well-trained Navy Seal that has skills to outwit any Mafia players. He is dead set on ending the lives of those who took the lives of his mother, father and little sister. He never planned to meet Allesandra. He never expected to have feelings for a woman in the middle of a death mission. Yet, Allie makes him feel things that he has never felt before. He is loyal to his family, yet he needs to be near Allie. She completes him and gives him hope for a better future with love in it. Allesandra has never met a man like Gio. He is arrogant, possessive, charming and beyond sexy. He is a god in the sack and he brightens her life in so many ways. She’s never had someone in her life that gives her the strength and confidence to stand up to her father and take her life back. She is tired of living by the Mafia rules and is tired of not having her independence. She is able to confront her father because of the courage and strength she gets from Gio. The sex between these two were hot. I felt bad for both of them. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

This is a new author to me and she just made me want to read more of her work. This book was really good, it had a great plot and storyline. Gio who grew up with a loving family whose father launder money through his businsss for the mafia only to have his family killed in a most brutal way. Gio decides as he has gotten older to take out the Don who supposedly ordered the hit on his family, but he also gets clse to the Don's daughter to help further his cause. But as Gio spends time with alessandra real feelings develop between the two and Gio is faced with the decession on whether to continue his vendetta or to find happiness Alessandra. Alessandra who loves her overprotective father tries and convince Gio there has to be some other explanation. This is when the story begins to show the twists and turns and it really gets good. I am a big fan of mafia books and this had a nice different spin to it and look forward to more from this author.

Let's talk about Arrogant Prick.
The word MAFIA on the title made me one-clicked the shit out of this book. And even tho the plot was a little overused, I believe the story had a lot of potential.
The problem here was the use of some words that instead of getting me all hot and bothered, they made me stop reading and asked myself why? Why if everything was going so smooth the author had to use those words. "Honey" and "Bald" are words that shouldn't be used while describing a steamy scene. Please just don't. These words are not my cup of tea, so this is all me. I'm sure other readers didn't care about it but for me is just a NO-NO!. Sorry.
I was tempted to stop reading but at the end I decided to give the book another chance and thank gawd those evil words were not mentioned ever again.
Overall, the characters were compelling and I enjoyed the story. The author's writing style was pretty good and the fact that she made me overlook those words was something. So yes, I will be reading more Tessa Thorne :).

WOW! Like really, really WOW! I'm so completely blown away by this book, I hardly know what to say or where to begin my review. Obviously, I'm an enthusiastic reader, but it's very seldom I get this excited over a debut novel from a completely unknown author. Yes, I said debut novel, as in her very first release, but heavens to betsy, let's hope there'll be many more to come! And yes, it was that good! Tessa Thorne totally nailed it with Arrogant Prick! I'm truly at a loss for words, which NEVER happens, so maybe I should start with a few details about the mechanics of the book. Arrogant Prick is a riveting, fast-paced, suspenseful, exceptionally well-crafted and edited, standalone contemporary bad boy mafia romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined dual his and her perspectives from Alessandra 'Allie' Pavoni and Giovanni 'Gio' Gallo. The dialogue is smart, snappy, gritty, seductive, well executed and flows effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite component of this seductive saga is the characters! They're intriguing, engaging, captivating, realistic, relatable, well-developed, sexy as sin, and quite simply, extraordinary. Yes, the book was well written with a compelling storyline, but it's the remarkable cast of characters who completely steal the show. They literally explode from the pages, grab your undivided attention, and utterly capture your heart. You can have an interesting, well-presented and edited book, but without a great cast of characters, you have absolutely nothing. They are the foundation of every story...its heart and soul, and this book has it all. It's the perfect blend of danger, drama, suspense, angst, passion, romance, and sex with even a little comic relief thrown in for good measure by Alessandra's loyal but slightly wacky best friend, Sarah. I was instantly smitten with the handsome, self-assured and very cocky former Navy Seal Gio Gallo. Talk about swagger and self-confidence! This guy has it in spades! I was completely captivated by the beautiful, curvaceous, intelligent and hard working mafia princess Alessandra 'Allie' Pavoni. I loved the interaction between Gio and Alessandra. They played off each other brilliantly with a sexual chemistry so hot, it sizzled! Heck, I was even fascinated by the bad guys. There's nothing better than a well-portrayed antagonist(s). You know, the kind we all love to hate, and Thorne's were entirely believable. I'm not a professional reviewer, but I am an avid reader who enjoys sharing her passion for books. Reviews are little more than personal opinions, and we all know everyone has their own. I base my ratings on how much I enjoy a book, not on other reviews or what everyone else thinks about it. It really makes no difference who the author is, or whether it's supposed to be some literary masterpiece...or not. My rating is based solely on how well I was entertained. So did I like this book? No... I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? Absolutely, but only for adults since it does contain graphic violence, explicit language, and several steamy dreamy love scenes. Will I read this author again? You bet! And finally, was I entertained? Oh lawd, yes! Thoroughly entertained, from the first page to the very last line! I simply could not stop reading. And buttons over biscuits, before I even finished the first page, I was completely hooked. I quickly one-clicked and began to read. I was totally spellbound and could not stop. I sat glued to my seat, white knuckling my ereader with my heart fluttering wildly in my chest while the pages flew as quickly as the time. At 3 AM, I jerked awake and found myself still holding my Kindle. And truth be told, had my Kindle not needed to be recharged, I would have returned to reading Arrogant Prick. lol... I decided to give it up and get a few hours sleep while my Kindle recharged. After only fours hours, I was awake and anxious to find out how the story would end. I grabbed a cup of coffee and jumped in again. And I'll repeat myself one more time, yes, it's that good. I sniffled, sobbed, chuckled and shook my fists in anger through the entire book, but by the end, I was happy and well entertained. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

I really enjoyed this book and hell, Gio is one hot guy.
Gio grew up with a loving family only they were brutally murdered by the mafia. Gio was now out for revenge and one by one he kills them, but first gets names.
Only his attention is side-tracked for Alessandra who runs the club he enters to watch his targets. He spends more time with her, only he discovers she is the daughter of the Don who authorised his families murder, only all is not what it seems, this story has some great plots and twists and leaves you hooked.

3 Bad Boy Stars
All said and done I would say a good first book for this Author. I hope as she continues to write she will keep growing and add additional twists to her plots, depth to her characters and some dark/twisty scenes.
I wasn't aware it was only 195 pages until I read it in 3 hours. Glad I didn't see that ahead of time as I tend to stray away from short novels.
I hope we will see some great things in her Mafia series as she progresses!

Among some of my favorites. Outstanding literary work. The characters are well developed, interesting. The liked characters are likable and the hated are unlikable. The writing is captivating enough to keep you interested until the end and leave you wanting more. It has a fairly original or uniquely well-developed plot. The pretense and romance were well balanced and done with properly distributed amounts of hints, behaviors, and chemistry. Not so much predictable if at all. Overall, loved it, I recommend reading!!

I don't even know where to begin because it was just that good.
Lots of action with a dark nature into the mafia. Gio is an extreme alpha who is out for revenge for the assassination of his family. Allessandra is the daughter of the mafia's Don who is unaware of any of what has happened. I guess you can see where this is going.
He decides to get close to Allessandra to help his cause but there is an instant attraction between these two characters. There is so much more going on than the attraction between our main characters and the heat the definitely ignite.
The flow of the story is constant with lots of twists and turn that kept me reading well into the need without the thought of my much needed sleep. There is a darkness to the story but one that entranced my senses. I have read other mafia stories and to be honest they are not always my favorites but I am so glad I gave this one a try because it far exceeded my expectations. It was all five stars with storyline, heat factor and some very well thought out characters.
A must read for dark romance readers and those who love this genre.

This new to me author really knows her bad boy through and through. I've read alot of Bad Boy Mafia Romances recently. I find this one ranks up there with B.B. Hamel and Willow Winters. The characters and story are complex, gritty, real, compelling, raw, down to earth, honest, and unique. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

Must Read
I just recently started reading mafia romances. Some have been good,some have been unrealistic. This book wasn't just good,it was awesome. The characters Gio and Alessandra were very well written. You felt the connection that they had towards each other as you read the book. Gio's whole family was murdered in what was said to be a home invasion,but Gio knew that they were murdered in cold blood. Gio felt guilty for not being there when it happened. I just recently started reading mafia romances. Some have been good,some have been unrealistic. This book wasn't just good,it was awesome. The characters Gio and Alessandra were very well written. You felt the connection that they had towards each other as you read the book. Gio's whole family was murdered in what was said to be a home invasion,but Gio knew that they were murdered in cold blood. Gio felt guilty for not being there when it happened. Gio is after the person(s) responsible for killing his family. He wants revenge and won't stop until he has it. He knows Don Pavoni is responsible and plans to kill everyone close to him. However Gio didn't plan on meeting Alessandra, Don's daughter, and falling for her. He knows he should leave her alone, but he can't stop thinking about Allie and how perfect she is for him.
Arrogant Prick is the fist book by this author and I was very impressed. The story is told smoothly with just the right amount of heat and sexiness between Gio and Allie. The characters are both very likeable and we get both POVs. At the conclusion of the book, there's a link to sign up for the author's email where it states we'll receive an extended epilogue. Looking forward to receiving that.

When I started reading Arrogant Prick, I didn't know what to except I can't believe this is s first time author of Tessa Thorne Well let let me just say I loved every minute of Gio and Allie story it grabs you in the beginning and doesn't let you go to the end I will be reading more of her books when they come out 5 star read.

A lovely story.
I just loved the story. A page turner from beginning to end. I just wanted to find out who did it. This book takes you through varying degrees of all the emotions- happiness, sadness, anger and many others. Can't want on more work from this author. A great read. Hot as Hell
I couldn't put this book down until I was completly finished. This book is sad and happy and the storyline keeps you glued to the pages to see what will happen next. This book is a romance that didn't start out that way. If you love bad boys turning into good ones then this book is must read for you, I highly recommend it

Part of me wishes I would have read this one first just to get a basis for the second one but regardless they both were great and the extended epilogue... Gio has me swooning! The story flowed really well and there was only a few times I was a bit lost but it was a formatting thing not a writing thing. I can't wait for what comes next from Tessa!

Great book, and for a debut novel it was pretty fantastic!
A bit of the mob scene, a little suspense and a lot of hotness. I especially loved that Gio didn't even think about breaking Allie's heart by going through with his plan for revenge.
Highly recommended if you like mafia books!

A debut worth taking a chance on, you might even be surprised by how much you like it.
You would be forgiven for thinking that this book was written by a well established author, with many, many books under their belt. This is honestly one of the best debuts I have ever had the pleasure of reading. There were none of the usual mistakes expected by novice writers. The story line, and the characters were well thought out and developed. The only bad part of the book, in my most humble opinion, was the end. Because it was the end. I was kinda sad to finish the book. This, along with the novella that comes before this, have the making of a fantastic series. You genuinely feel like part of the story, the process even. I wish Tessa the very best of luck with her new career as a published author. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.
p.s. Any tips on how to actually take that first step, to have confidence, and believe in yourself enough to put your thoughts and words on paper. To believe that you can be an author if you want to. Arrogant Prick was in the back of Cocky Prick. So I got a two for one story. Arrogant Prick was so good I had to review separately.
Giovanni is looking for vengeance. While Alessandra is a protected mafia princess and untouchable.
Gio must have Alessandra after meeting her at Hush but doesn't know "who" she is. He pursues her and waits out the bodyguards. He propositions her and things escalate quickly between the two. A secret love affair unfolds and Allie must present her guy to her dad. None other than The Don.
Story of heart break, death, revenge and unstoppable love. Great Book!

2,5 Giovanni & Alessandra stars!

I DNF this book in 2016 and decided of the blue to give it a second try. The story was so good until Giovanni drowned in pussylandia and forgot everything about his revenge and his family.
For a debut novel, this was a good read although for a mafia book, the suspense was nearly absent.
I don't know where this author has disappeared as I can't find her on any platform but I wish she's ok wherever she is.

INTENSE from page one! Heartbreaking what happened to Gio's family, understandably why he's the "arrogant prick". Instant chemistry between him and Alesssbdra, unfortunately nothing is always 100% and there are some issues. One mainly being Gio's revenge on the man responsible for his family's death, who is he you ask well, well you gotta read! :)

It was ok. That's really all I feel I can say.
Really though, again this was a book where the pacing was way too fast, their relationship did not make any sense in so far as actually believing they felt for each other. A jumbled mess in my opinion.

Loved reading this story of Gio and Alli
Being the daughter of a Don isn't easy, but standing up to him also isn't easy. But when you start too fall in love with a guy like Gio a girl will do anything to be with him. Even if it means sneaking around and doing things a girl has ever dione before. Not for those under 18!

GIo's on a mission to avenge his family's death. Without looking, he fins Allie and is instantly drawn to her. After he is hooked, he realizes she is the daughter of his target. A story full of pain, love, passion, mystery, moving on, and healing. A great read!

Learning to Trust
The book's plot and characters were well defined. The revenge Gio wanted played well into the overall story. I liked how family, friends and situations are not as they appear to be. Gio & Allie had a strong connection and the steam was hot. Truths were learned, hearts were healed and love gave Gio & Allie their HEA.

Great story. The violence had me a little squeamish in some parts but the sex scenes more than made up for it. And Gio... mmm, the title says it all - and what a delicious bad boy! Recommend!
