It's so sad to see one of my favorite series come to an end, but I have loved every moment of this journey with the LOST team. And Ana's story was the best one to bring this group to a close. Though I hope we will maybe see them again one day because I'm greedy like that.

Wrecked is Ana's story and follows her as she helps the FBI capture an escaped convict that she once put away when she was a bounty hunter. But what she thought would be a quick case turns into much more when her and FBI agent Cash Knox discover that there is a lot more going on than one killer on the run. Now the two have to race against an unknown threat if they want to survive. And along the way Cash uses this as his one chance to get Ana back in his bed and to stop her from running from him.

Ms. Eden will forever be on of my favorite Romantic Suspense writers because she just does it so well. Her suspense never fails to suck me in and her romance never feels out of place in such a thrilling story. She effortlessly twists the mysteries around the sweetness of her characters and it's why I will read anything she writes.

Ana and Cash were really amazing characters that both had their own pasts that were holding them back from each other. Getting to see how they worked through their issues together was absolutely breathtaking and I loved their romance. It added the perfect amount of sweetness to this exhilarating hunt for a serial killer.

Overall this is definitely a series I will practically beg people to read. This can be read as a standalone with no issue but I still say read the other books since they're so great.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

I don't think you can find a more apropos title as Wrecked. This is a dark contemporary romance and its not for the light hearted. Serial Killers are more frequent than you'd like to ponder and safe is a relative term in. When all your hope is gone, who do you choose to have your back?

Thought provoking, Eden, provides a tale that makes you question when is right maybe wrong. What if the victim turns the tables? How far would you go to survive with who you become.

This is one of those reads that stick with you long after you are done.

I received this ARC copy of Wrecked from Avon in exchange for a honest and voluntary review. This book is set for publication May 30, 2017.

“This doesn’t scare me. It pisses me off.”

One of the strongest suspense books by this author I read.
Dark, twisted, raw.
Did I hate the murders? No. Their victims were monsters.
But was it right to stop them? Yes!

Still a couple of small inaccuracies, but maybe I just didn’t fully get some things.
Overall a very interesting book. A bit different.

Incredible heroine, a badass. Strong woman with a hint of vulnerability.
Loved her.

“ She wasn’t just a victim, dammit. She wasn’t. She was a survivor. She was a fighter. She was a hunter.”

The hero was ok. 2nd chance is not my reading preference; it was played nice, but still…
The heroine was stronger than him. Hell yes!!!

Ana was his flame. Ana—she was becoming his everything. When she’d left, he’d been gutted. She didn’t get how much she mattered to him.

4.5 Stars Another winner from this author!

Finally we get ex-bounty hunter Ana Young’s book! When Ana was fourteen she and her brother was kidnapped by evil men, and even though they managed to go home, neither of them were ever the same. Ana knows what it means to be a missing victim, which is why she recently joined LOST, to find those who no one else can. But her latest case is a bit different, because the missing is none other than serial killer “Bernie-the-Butcher”, the very man Ana hunted two years ago and who was supposed to be put away for a very long time. But Bernie has escaped and the FBI needs her help. And her new partner is none other than the FBI agent she had one hot night with two years ago before she sneaked away into the night.

FBI Special Agent Cash Knox was the one that requested Ana on this job, he knows she’s brilliant at hunting but he has ulterior motives too. It seems Bernie has become obsessed with Ana and Cash won’t let anything hurt Ana ever again. But there seems to be more evil at work than just Bernie, someone who has been watching Ana for some time, watching and waiting for the right time. And that time is now.

The attraction is still there. I touch him and my body reacts. I look at him and I need.

Ana is an awesome heroine. I have been wanting to read her book since reading the previous one about her twin, Asher, and she didn’t disappoint. She’s strong, a little broken after what happened to her and Asher, but she’s a fighter. Nothing and no one gets her down. I love her loyalty to Asher, how strong their bond is and I loved her reaction to Cash. Two years ago she left him after their one night because she knows that white knights aren’t for her, she has too much darkness inside her now. And I loved how Cash proved her wrong, that he was indeed perfect for her.

“I think about you,” Cash confessed. “Too fucking much. You slip into my dreams. You creep into my thoughts during the day. I know I should move the hell on, but there is something about you . . . you got beneath my skin.” So deep. Deeper than she knew.

I loved Cash, who at first seemed like your typical rule abiding FBI agent, but there was so much more to him. His attraction to Ana was palpable and also his fear of losing her. Two years ago he didn’t go after her because he’s been keeping a terrible secret from Ana, one that would destroy the way she felt about him and he didn’t want anything to hurt her ever again. I loved how protective he was over her, how he didn’t see her as broken or a victim, but as the woman he wanted and needed.

But he couldn’t let her go. Not again. He’d already tried that good-guy role before. Now, he was taking what he wanted. He was taking Ana.

I’m not a fan of second-chance romances but this author always manages to write ones that I enjoy and love. I didn’t like that neither tried to pursue their attraction before but I could understand their reasons for not doing so. There was never a doubt that these two belonged together, their chemistry was sizzling and I loved that circumstances gave them a second chance at getting it right, and not letting go. And Cash’s secret just added more depth to their romance, which I loved.

I absolutely love the way Cynthia Eden writes serial killers. How truly evil some of them are and also how human and broken others are. And I especially liked the twist in this one, trying to figure out who was watching Ana, pulling all the strings.

Once again Cynthia Eden has written a gripping romantic thriller and I loved every page. This author and series is a must read for all RS fans.

It's the last book of the series and it ended things off with an incredible bang. The reader is sure to figure out who the killer is really fast... or will they?

Every time I thought I had figured it out, another twist was thrown my way. And if the thrill of the chase (or the hunt) wasn't enough, what was brewing between Cash and Ana had me excited to keep on reading. I was able to piece together rather quickly that their pasts were linked in a tragic way, but the way it all unfolded had me feeling terrible for them. Such pain, but it was that same pain that bonded them. It's what drew them to each other in the first place. Like recognized like and they had something so special together.

The author did an amazing job with this conclusion and I'm only left with one question in the end that still hasn't been answered... What happened to Murphy?

What happened to Ana was tragic. She has the scars to prove it. And helping the victims is very admirable. She's doing something positive. Unlike the killers in this story. I honestly don't know how to feel about them. Are they victims or killer or circumstance? Thought provoking...

As for the Hero. He's good. Very protective and all. But I love Ana better. A survivor.

This book focuses on Lost agent Ana Young, whose delicate appearance hides a strength of steel and a fierce intellect, and FBI agent Cash Knox, a rising star in the bureau. Ana’s experiences, as a teen kidnap victim/survivor, has meant her work at Lost, finding the missing, is something that she gives her all to.

The secrets and the darkness she feels she holds, mean she believes that a relationship with a good guy like Cash is a no go, whilst Cash and the secrets he keeps mean that whist he hungers for Ana and will do anything to protect her, he is wary of hurting her. He knows he should stay away but he cannot, and when he needs her assistance on a case the heat between them detonates. But will their secrets and the killer they hunt keep them apart.

An engaging plot and main characters with grit and heart made this an ace read.

A very enjoyable re-read, it’s been a while since I’ve read this genre of books by Eden, and I honestly forgot about this book, I don’t know why, as it’s defo worth a read and re-read. Yes, like many of Eden’s books in this genre there are tropes that she reuses, but it works and since it’s been a while since I’ve read any of them, this book and its characters didn’t feel repetitive.

Disappointing final book in the series. It lacked the heart stopping action and suspense of the previous books. The victims were unsympathetic and why did we care if they were saved? Ana and Cash had zero chemistry, and I was not invested in them as a couple. Their constant inner dialog was distracting. The highlight was the return of Sarah, and a possible tease of a spinoff? I hope so. I will definitely read it. I love this series and highly recommend it, even though this didn't deliver. 3 average stars.

Former bounty hunter Ana Young has come to work for the ‘LOST’ organization. Once a child hostage to a serial killer who escaped his clutches; she is in a unique position to help serial killer victims, as well as profile the way a serial killer thinks. The FBI has come to her for help in apprehending a killer who escaped from prison. This is a killer who Ana captured and brought in for the bounty, and who holds a serious grudge against her.

The bad part is, the FBI agent sent to work with her is Cash Knox, a former one night stand. Even worse, their target has been killed by his partner, and there is another serial killer on the loose; one who is an unknown target to attempt to profile. All this throws Ana and Cash working together closely, and for longer than Ana is comfortable with.

I enjoyed this for the most part. Cash played a little fast and loose with the rules; and a lot of things came together too conveniently. Cash and Ana had sex at some highly inappropriate times in the plotline, but I guess to call it RS it had to be shoehorned in somewhere. The ending was creepy and an eye opener; even as it skated perilously close to going over-the-top.

Overall, it was a good book; an imperfect and flawed read in an uneven series...but still good. It was quite the innovated take on the minds of serial killers and child abductors.

description

Wrecked is the sixth and final installment of the Last Option Search Team series, that quickly rocketed to the top of my favorite romantic suspense list. So this is a bittersweet end for me. I loved getting to know all the members of the LOST team, but I'm sad to see them go. I hope that Cynthia Eden continues writing these dark gritty serial killer type romantic suspense stories, because she does it exceedingly well. Sometimes I want to peek into her brain to see how she creates the dark and twisty villains that were featured in this series.

The final heroine is Ana Young, twin sister of Asher from Taken. If you have read the earlier books, you will recall that when the twins were fourteen, they were abducted and Asher was forced to watch while Ana was stabbed and sliced repeatedly. This makes Ana our tortured heroine, literally and figuratively. But Ana is a survivor and her tragic past is fuels her drive to help victims and catch bad guys. I admired Ana's determination and resilience, and hated the self-esteem issues that her scars created. Ana is an incredible tracker and, by viewing criminals through the POV of a victim, she is able to understand their motives and intentions.

A few years ago, Ana had a one-night stand with a fast-rising FBI Agent, Cash Knox. When a killer with a fixation on Ana escapes prison, Cash reappears in Ana's life. He seriously has a thing for Ana and despite her disappearance from his bed two years ago, he has never been able to get past the draw he feels toward her. Cash gave off an air of injury and vulnerability, like a kicked puppy, and I felt sorry for him. It felt a little odd to feel sorry for the big bad FBI agent - but he just seemed so earnest in his feelings toward our heroine that you wanted her to open her arms and heart to him. Of course, Cash is hiding some secrets which he fears will drive Ana away for good, and that added to the vulnerability of his character. Overall, I liked him as a hero and I didn't want Ana to push him away.

As always, the suspense and mystery aspect of this book was excellent. Cynthia Eden really gets into the mind of her villain and presents an eerily captivating storyline. The dynamic here was even more twisty because you didn't know whether to feel sorry for the bad guy or hate him. When victims are killers and killers are victims, you have a lot of mixed feelings. The suspense takes you from isolated cabins to working and abandoned psychiatric facilities, all of which gave a spooky feel to the investigation. I think this story (and the whole series) would translate well to television or film in a crime drama format.

I recommend this book to all fans of romantic suspense. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher, Avon.

I have been in love with this series slowly waiting for each book and it's sad to say this is the last of it.
Ana Young and her twin have been through so much when they were 14. Both have been kidnapped but Ana has the scars to prove it never to be put in the same position she works hard and she went from being in a "man's world" in bounty hunter to being part of LOST. Back in her bounty hunter days, she has caught "Bernie the butcher" all by her lonesome and everyone at the FBI was surprised the killer was caught easily by a girl. Fast forward a couple years and it seems Bernie escaped now FBI Cash Knox needs Ana to help him capture him all over again but this time is different Ana and Cash have history one Ana wants to forget but Cash doesn't. Cash has secrets knows things will turn when it all comes out but being around Ana make him believe there is a small chance of hope for both of them. Not only is Bernie on the loose seems someone is also affected by Ana is a creepy stalker way.
OOhhWee the secrets and the mystery stalker keeps things interesting.

The sixth book in the LOST series by Cynthia Eden. Ex-Bounty Hunter Ana Young is now working as a LOST agent. FBI Cash Knox comes to LOST to request her assistance in locating an escaped convict that Ana had brought to the FBI in the first place. Ana thinks of Cash as a white knight but Cash has secrets that would prove him to be far away from being a white knight. Meanwhile, Ana has her own ghosts from when she was 14 years old.

Another good addition to the series. I have enjoyed this series and definitely recommend it.

Cynthia Eden’s LOST series has thus far, been a mixed bag for me, but there are several ones which I do like and ‘Wrecked’ is one of them. It’s exciting to dive into a world where shades of grey operate and where characters are never what they seem, up until the very end, so everything that Eden throws up is a potential twist in the plot.

‘Wrecked’ is Ana Young’s story, one of the latest additions in Gabe Spencer’s outfit, whose bounty hunter past had been decided for her when she’d been tortured as a child, except that those walls of hers can be pulled down—by the unlikeliest of people in FBI agent Cash Knox. He’s back in her circles because a hunter of serial killers is at large and him needing her help is just as much an order from his boss as it is his need to see her again. Their very brief history is their only foundation, but even then, Cash’s own link to her isn’t merely because law enforcement dictates it. The mystery trail is complex and sometimes confusing, but Cash and Ana need to sort through their own issues as they search for a perpetrator that seems way too brilliant for their liking.

As far as Romantic Suspense goes, ‘Wrecked’ is an entertaining read, where connections are (sometimes coincidentally) forged from dark pasts and love found in the oddest of places, even from a one-night stand that isn’t as accidental as it seemed. Eden writes about perpetrators who are as much victims as they are of circumstances, warped only because they’d been traumatised, but also of love found so near and yet so far from where one’s personal demons lurk. Some parts of the book do seem a bit more dramatic and over the top than I thought they should have been—but it does rack up the chill factor at times and the psychological insights are one of a kind. Overall, it’s a story that’s hard to put down and in that vein, that’s more than good enough for me.

••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: 4.25 stars-WRECKED is the sixth installment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult L.O.S.T. romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for L.O.S.T. (Last Option Search Team). This is L.O.S.T. agent and profiler Ana Young, and FBI Special Agent Cash Knox’s story line. WRECKED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous story line is revealed where necessary. Ana is the sister of Asher Young TAKEN (L.O.S.T. #5).

Told from several third person perspectives including Ana and Cash WRECKED follows the search for a serial killer who is targeting ‘monsters’ that have destroyed other people’s lives. An escaped convict with ties to our heroine brings together FBI Special Agent Cash Knox, and the woman he can’t stop thinking about. Enter L.O.S.T. profiler Ana Young-a woman who knows, first hand, the face of a monster. What ensues is the rekindling relationship between Ana and Cash, and the search for a killer who is targeting our story line couple.

WRECKED follows Ana Young as she is tasked with helping the FBI search for an escaped convict whose obsession with Ana is dangerous and dark. But more than one killer is on the hunt, and Ana and Cash are pulled into a game of cat and mouse.

The relationship between Cash and Ana is one of second chances. Two years earlier Ana and Cash worked together to bring down a killer but a killer who has now targeted Ana in his sights. Cash wants a do-over; a second chance to woo the woman with whom he fell in love but Cash has a secret, that when revealed, will destroy any hope of his relationship with Ana Young. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

WRECKED is a story of family; of betrayal and loss; vengeance and death; missing persons and heartbreaking closure. The premise is suspense filled and edgy; the characters are compelling, broken, energetic and passionate; the romance is fated and intense. WRECKED is an intriguing look into the mind of a profiler, and the victims who survive against all hope.

The thrill of the chase, the clues, the creepiness factor..I had episodes of NCIS and Criminal Minds running through my mind as I read this book! The romance had a heaviness to it with the secrets being kept, but it suited the tone of the story quit appropriately I think. Overall, Ana and Cash closed out the LOST series with a suspenseful and thrilling bang! I'd definitely recommend this series for romantic suspense lovers!

Ana has joined L.O.S.T. along with her twin brother Asher. They have a certain background that allows them a bit of an edge when hunting killers. While they're both tired of hunting killers, saving the victims is what they want. But that means hunting down the bad guys.

Cash Knox is an FBI agent who worked with Ana once on a case back when she was a bounty hunter. The killer she put away? He escaped. And Cash wants Ana. In more ways than one.

When Cash shows up at LOST looking for Ana, she is instantly taken back to their one hot night together. But it could only ever be one night. She's too messed up from her past. But little does she know that his past isn't all roses and unicorns either. And something big is lurking.

This hunt for a murderer gets interesting quick since they find him dead. Ana immediately gets a call letting her know that more deaths are coming. But why tell her? Why give her a heads up? What game is this guy playing?

I really wish Ms. Eden would write more books with Avon. I think they're some of her best. And this ending while not a cliffhanger, definitely left some room for more books. Fingers crossed she comes back to the L.O.S.T. series later!

3.5 RATING- A solid romantic suspense/thriller story. I wish I would have read the entire series (although not required) instead of skipping around. I'm sure at some point I'll get around to reading those I've skipped over.

I always enjoy the LOST books, and this was no exception. My primary problem with this one was I thought the killer was obvious very early on - - and Ana seemed dense for not making such an obvious connection. I mean, hello? He thinks you understand him and that situation was nearly identical to yours.

I also missed the other LOST characters. Usually, they're more active in the case, and we get to see them. Plus, it was weird having Sarah there with no Jax.

But Ana was a great character. Cash was ... a little cookie-cutter, but still enjoyable. This is a solid series, and Eden's RS is always fun.

Cynthia Eden strikes again !! I love her serial killer stories. They are so good and twisted !! Some of it was predictable but still enjoyable and some got me shocked.
This one is much more interesting because the victims becomes the hunters.
The romantic side follow the same guideline as ever : fast hard sexy.
Overall this serie is very very good and the suspens, the story and everything is so good you don't really want to leave this twisted and darkish world.
