The Mars Chronicles
The Mars Chronicles is a story set in the future where people on Earth are able to travel back and forth to Mars. A team of traitors takes a simple business trip to Mars but in the end, only attempts to capture and hold for ransom a Martian City and return home unharmed. Unbeknownst to the humans, the Martians have their own ways of finding out who the traitors are before they comfortably return back to Earth.

Not sure how to start. I hated this at first. Legitimately stopped reading it for a day then decided to finish what I started. Glad I did. The concept was actually alright, but the character dialogue is what got me I think. That, and why would you implicate yourself in something to random people? Made no sense to me. It’s not the same ol’ scifi or another space opera, so I really dig the fact it’s original. But those two things made it hard to swallow.
