I absolutely loved reading this book and getting to know N. Eldon Tanner better. He was a remarkable man. He was hired to teach high school without a diploma, so he got hie diploma alongside the students he taught. Another little piece of information: The Canadian government moved a government office across the country so that he would head it up because he did not want to have to move his family to take this high-ranking position.
Those are just some of the many things that I read that helped me admire this man so much more than I had in the past.
Interesting to learn a little more about Elder Tanner (especially since he is my husband's great uncle) and to get his take on some gospel themes. He also had some interesting things to say about civic responsibilities and respecting the laws of the land. It was worth a read.
