I’m Caith Morningstar: bar owner, leather wearer, shoe worshipper, werewolf, Orlando’s resident ass kicker and… Satan’s niece.

For the love of all that is unholy, I really thought the demons of the world were smarter than to screw with me. But they’re doing it. Again. Catatonic people are being found across the city, all of them members of a new cult. All the followers have to do is pray to their new goddess and all will be well… while she sucks the very life out of them. What makes it worse? The bitch involved my son in her schemes. Didn’t she learn what happens when someone touches what’s mine? I’ll be sure to show her.

Add in Uncle Luc’s arrival with his still pregnant baby momma along with a request to keep her safe, and my life is just awesome. (Total sarcasm.)

It isn’t long before I realize the “goddess” wants to destroy the world, and her ticket to the top is through the baby in the mommy-to-be’s belly.

Now I’m running, I’m killing, I’m saving the world, and I’m… trying to hang on to my angelic mate, Sam. I’m pretty sure I’m going to fail at one of those. I just hope it’s not Sam.

Can a half demon, half pixie/holy warrior/unicorn/Father Earth/werewolf (Yeah. Don't ask.) not get just a little bit of peace and quiet? Just a little? I mean, Come ON People! She already saved the world. Twice, as a matter of fact, in the last couple of years. Can a girl not just enjoy her adopted Brownie son and her half-fallen angel boyfriend for a few bloody minutes before you all go messing things up? Again?
But nooooooo . . . You have to go gettin' all rowdy, joining a whacko cult, walking around like zombies (when you aren't rutting like bunnies) and generally messing up Caith’s life.

Again.

Ugh.

It seems a couple of Caith’s old enemies are up to no good again. Even if Uncle Lucifer did throw them into the very bowels of the deepest circle of Hell. Of course, if Uncle Dearest didn’t have his mind on the little demon spawn he planted in the brainless twit he just dumped on Caith’s front door, maybe she could have gotten things under control a little more easily?

Nah. No such luck.

Sigh.

That’s all bad enough. But when Caith’s little Bryony, Sam, and Jezzie are endangered? Well, here’s a clue. Don’t. Piss off. The niece of the Morningstar. That will get you just all kinds of pain.

Caith Morningstar is one kick-ass beotch. You would expect her to be, taking into consideration who her mother is, but while she may have set Chicago on fire (Once! It was Just Once!) and maybe started a war (or two), the influence of all five fathers makes her loyal, protective, and determined to keep Mouse Town, her family, and her friends, safe.

Ms. Celia has written another winner Urban Fantasy in “Made in Hell” I have no doubt you will love! Humor, pathos, love, hate - it's all here, and all written in that unique Celia Kyle style.

I received “Made in Hell” from the author in exchange for a realistic review. How Lucky am I?!?!

If you've read this authors shifter or sci fi romance stories then you will be well acquainted with her devilish sense of humour. So it comes as no surprise to this reader that Ms Kyle brings all her usual playfulness as well as creativity to this her urban fantasy series and may I say what a pleasure it has been discovering this world with angels , demons and a whole lot more!
Caith is everything I want in a heroine and so much besides! The oddest hybrid I've ever come across and with antecedents that simply beggar belief! The last two books whilst enjoyable have clearly been leading up to this story as it builds on everything we've already learnt about Caith and her turbulent life and just ramps up the tension. Obviously with this author there are heated scenes and an almost tragic romance but it's the minutiae, the small things that make Caith who she is that's showcased here. They say the devil is in the details and in this story I'd say that's true oh, and don't forget that timing is everything!

Considering how many of CK's books I've read I'm not sure how I missed this series. I have every intention of going back and reading the first two now that I know about it. I wouldn't say you HAVE to read the first two to enjoy this one, and CK drops enough history into this one so you're not totally lost, but there's obviously a lot of history we missed and I do think it would be even more enjoyable if I had read them in order. This is firmly in the UF category although Caith does have a love interest, it is not really about them and there is no HEA. It is so different from what CK writes under her own name and under Erin Tate that it took a bit to get used to the UF format but the one thing that hasn't changed is the humor. I LOVEDLOVEDLOVED Caith. I can't decide if I just want to be her BFF or actually BE her. Despite her very strange parentage (how many people magically end up fathered by 5 different paranormal species) and her time in hell Caith knows how to love fiercely. She protects what is hers no matter the consequences. It also doesn't hurt she's a straight up badass and Uncle Lucifer should probably be glad she has no desire to rule hell. Luckily for him she has a little human in her and still has a the ability to love so that her desires lay elsewhere but if she were ever to lose that she might be able to give him a good fight. I can't wait to see how this world plays out, and since I'm a sucker for romance I also can't wait to go back and see how Caith and Sam hooked up in the first place.

here is trouble brewing yet again in Mouse town, Orlando has never been the same and Caith, Sam, Bryony, Momma R, Jezzebeth, and Caith's 5 dads are all in the thick of it. Lo and behold, guess who shows up, Uncle Luc and he is bearing gifts in the form of a Marilyn Monroe look alike and man is she bearing a big gift.. There was a bit more normal at the beginning of this book and we even get to see Caith and Sam have a special evening together that seems normal. Even though they can't be together romantically it was a sweet moment for the couple before all the craziness begins and it's going to end this time.

Caith is charged with babysitting the flighty chick Uncle Luc shows up with and man do things start to get hairy. Humanity may be in mortal danger and it's up to Caith, Sam and the gang to hold them back. Problem is they are not holding back, but coming right at them! Seems like someone from the past that they thought taken down, made her way up again and has been planning a takeover for quite some time and she will not be stopped from taking over the world and reuniting with the love of her life.. She just has to get her hands on the flighty chicks gift and a heavenly one also.

Many surprises erupt from Heaven and Hell. Caith may have a little bit of 5 even hellfire, but she is a woman in love and hers is a love so pure that not even hellfire can burn it.

This one is full of action, but so full of love and thoughtfulness. Can evil be good and good be what and to what extent? A sweet HEA left up in the air, literally?

What will happen next?

Caith is as loud and obnoxious as ever. I love how brash she is. If I had the amount of power that she has, I might be like her, but I think she would be her loud crazy self even if she was a human. I do not envy her mate, but not mated fallen angel relationship. They love each other very much but to not have the ability to have children is rough. Sam shows how wonderful an angel he is by giving so much to everyone, especially Caith. I enjoyed the mystery and action. This story is definitely not over.

Such fun

I really do enjoy the character of Caith Morningstar. I totally relate to her in pretty much every way. I enjoyed this instalment immensely. The plot, the ancillary characters, the dialogue are all great fun.
I definitely recommend this series.

This is another great addition to the series!
Caith was just trying to have a normal ( Free Demon) Life + maybe, a date night w/ Sam.
No Such thing!
It does not help, when here uncle Luc shows up w/ a task for Caith.
Mayhem issues + Caith has to save the day once again.
Great book

There is trouble brewing yet again in Mouse town. And Caith, Sam, Bryony, Momma R, Jezzebeth, and Caith's dads are all in the thick of it. Bonus, Uncle Luc shows up and he is bearing gifts.. I liked that the book opened on a bit of normalcy then we get to see Caith and Sam have a special evening together that is seemingly normal. Even though they can't be together romantically it was a sweet moment for the couple before all the craziness begins.
Going back to the big bad, Silaran and his mortal lover Lucia are wreaking havoc once more, in a bid to overthrow Uncle Luc. They are using some demon-inspired psychic connection to infiltrate the minds of the unsuspecting mortals and getting everyone's hormones rising to power them. They are feeding off the sexual vibes these mortals are cooking up. if that wasn't awful enough they are targeting people by some made up religion. Instead of drinking the kool-aid, people are getting busy around the clock. Gross.
To top off the madness being spread by Silaran and Lucia, they have tapped into two people that mean the most to Caith. Bryony and Jezzebeth. Big mistake. Caith went supernova in the last book, when Bry was being used as a conduit for Silaran in the previous book. Then, they decided to mess with her bestie, Jezze- she got sucked into the cult by a wolf shifter she met. The psyhic mojo did quite a whammy on Jezze and when Caith burst in rescue her-I thought it was all over at that point. Didn't anyone ever tell them about the number 1 bestie commandment? Thou shall not f*** with my best friend.
Lastly, Uncle Luc came on the scene finally. He had a major announcement and new assigment for Caith. No spoiler here..

Another great Caith Morningstar book!! I loved it!!! We get to pick up a while after the last book ended and find ourselves right back in the middle of it all with Caith and her group. Caith knows something funky is going on in her town again and is determined to get to the bottom of it among everything else she is dealing with. This is everything I've come to expect with this series by Celia Kyle. I love the snarky humor and sarcasm and just kicka**ery that Caith brings to the table. There's action and intrigue and more than enough to get and keep your attention. The sex is fairly explicit and blends into the story well. There is romance in this story but it is not the main focus in the story and we are left with the relationship still somewhat up in the air because of the circumstances that they find themselves in and what they are. I believe that this story could stand on its own but I believe that you will enjoy it so much more if you have read the previous 2 books. You will know more about the characters and have a deeper connection to everyone in the story. It also lets you have a better guess on what some of the characters might be up to/their motivation. I loved getting to see where the characters had grown and where they end up at the end of this book. I love this series and the humor and situations that they get into and I can't wait for the next one!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

When is Caith going to get a break??? It seems like this poor girl runs from one world destroying disaster to another. I think the next book should really just be her and Sam on a honeymoon of sorts. Sadly, I don't think that day will ever come. Someone has to hold Florida together.

We join Caith still raising her adopted brownie-kid (who appears to be aging at an alarming rate). It seems like only yesterday that he was saved from a demon-virus-thing and now he's speaking in tongues. Sigh. A new church/cult that moves into town is the likely culprit, but aside from the hornier people around, there isn't much to go on. Chances are good that someone Caith pissed off is out to get her (again).

Aside from solving this mystery, Caith is also trying to balance a rather unconventional relationship with Sam. He's sort-of-kind-of her mate, but they can't actually find satisfaction together. When will these two get a break?! Just when things start making progress, Uncle Luc also decides to stop by and drop his baby mama in the safe keeping of these magical/supernatural big wigs. There's fighting, blood, magic, demons, and the always awesome Caith in a great showdown at the end of the book. It was so good that I kind of forgive her for not making more relationship progress with Sam (sigh).

If you are the type to be easily offended just walk away now, but if you have a sense of humor and are ok with picking a little on the whole sunshine perkiness and doom and gloom tropes, then read on. Just finished this totally fun staycation from reality where there is love, violence, total satirization of the whole good versus evil shtick and at times complete disregard for "the fourth wall" (unless Cait is talking to herself?). Ms. Kyle also pokes fun at the whole save-the-girl/ save-the-world trope. Epic battles check, seemingly doomed romance check, crazy megalomaniac trying to take over yep, plot sure, even a little irony and some humor too. Then there is the determined and not all-together good or bad ensemble of protagonists. I like that because nobody even heroes are completely good or evil, THANK you. Grey works for me and for this story too, because it is where real life happens and that is ok. See, we might learn something from this absurd tale.

++ My epub copy received from the author and I thank her via honest feedback. This was not read on a kindle, but using a platform that allows free TTS for impaired readers.

Caith Morningstar is a an awesome character she is evil as they come with a touch of good from one of her dads. A very unique. She is the niece of the devil, her mom is his sister and her fathers? Lol that gets a little confusing. Oh and she lives in mouse town (Orlando, fl) with her almost mate (a half fallen angel) and her son a brownie. That poor boy is aways in the center of trouble and there us evil after him and mouse town again. Bad move, you see mouse town is Caith's town and you don't mess with her son.
When her uncle Luc (the devil) shows up with a very pregnant girlfriend. She thought things could not get worse. WRONG. Seems the good side has their baby comming too. And the evil goddess trying to take over? She wants both babies and you know who is in her way? Caith!
OMG I LOVE IT. It's a mix of bad vs good , spice and love, mystery and action! WOW. The characters development are amazing I love all the characters truly a work of art.
Warning Caith has a potty mouth lol
If you don't mind the star being a bit evil and love magic this book is for you.
I give it 10 stars.
Book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Once again weird things are happening in the house of mouse and Caith adopted son seems to have dragged into it. Bry is writing and speaking in an unknown language at school and it makes his brownie teacher very upset. A new church has suddenly popped up and is busier than most night clubs. Everyone seems so be extra horny and having sex in weird places. Caith has no clue what is going on and she doesn't like it.
Caith and her friends are busy tying to find out why kids are speaking in tongues and why people are turning up drained of life energies found in compromising position. She also wants to know why the new church is worshipping a goddess named Lucia which of the name of a demon's mate who was sent to hell.
Caith is still a kick-ass heroine who protects her city not because she is good but because it is hers. She still struggle with her demon side and her need for her fallen angel mate. I love seeing her deal with her many relationships.

Once again we have a fast paced well written story from Ms Kyle.
If you are looking for a HEA this series is NOT for you. But if you want a gripping read with a great ongoing cast of characters and a slight background story running behind the latest problem to hit town, you will love this series.
Caith has problems happening in her town with a link to the baddies from the last book making a reappearance with some serious mojo. Once again it affects her child and friends, so not acceptable in Caith’s world.
Then her Uncle Luc (Lucifer to the rest of us) dumps his Barbie doll pregnant human on Caith to be babysat and protected. Add in another special pregnant woman and we have one hell of a fantastic read.
I really want the love between Caith and Sam to have a HEA but I do not see how Ms Kyle can make that happen unless both On High and Hell agree one day.
Do yourself a favour and read this series.

Does Caith make Devil's Food Cake for school bake sales?

Some of the backstory and details weren't clear because I haven't read any of the other books in the series. However, you don't really need to read the other ones to enjoy the story. I avoided this series and some of the other similarly-themed books because I didn't think that a plot about Lucifer's niece would work, but I was wrong. It has lots of action--something is always going on--interesting characters and a well-developed world. There's some romance but not love scenes.

Despite her heritage, Caith does normal, every day things that regular humans do--like taking her child (that she sort of adopted) to school, talking to teachers and dealing with school work--although the school is for magical children. That said, it's still a paranormal story with demons, wolves, witches and more, and all of their conflict and power plays.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

MADE IN HELL(Caith Morningstar #3) by Celia Kyle

This is the first book I've read in this series, so it took me a little while to find my bearings, but wow what a fantastic book.A fantasy world where good versus evil, and has one awesome kick-ass heroine. This is a well-developed world, where the author captures every scene perfectly and brings it to life throughout the pages. The storyline is exciting and captivating, with a side of crazy. It's filled with drama, suspense, action, a egotistical maniac, and of cause love. I loved these characters so much. You cannot help but love Caith, snarkyness and all. Some scenes are just halarious, and you cannot help but laugh out loud. This story had me gripped from start to finish. A very enjoyable read!

Love this series. Highly recommend this book. Cath Morningstar is 600 years old and Satan's niece and she has some really awesome fathers. Yes fathers. In that she really has five. Blame her mother, who is Satan's sister. She now has an adopted son Bryony who is sort of a brownie with extra. Her Uncle Luc has given him some hell fire. He is a precious child who is giving his teacher a few problem. It appears brownies go to school early as they mature faster. So Bryony at barely two is in school. But he is presenting with a few abnormalities and that has Cath really worried. She is in need of help and she gets it from her mate Samkiel a half fallen angel. Things are getting strange in Orlando and a new cult has formed, which means things are about to get Catatonic. Thank you to Celia Kyle for the amazing review copy.

So, new to Urban Fantasy but not new to this series or the author. I loved the book. I'm still sad about Sam and things are still so up in the air with them. Ugh...it will work out I know...well it better if I have anything to say about it! Heh, Caith cracks me up. I like how in the beginning how she says she only forgot to pick up Bry once and then she says maybe two times and then finally admit five but thats it. Cracks me up. She's is one mama bear and its actually sweet. She'd do anything to protect her boy. She is back again and kicks some ass. Babies!!!!! They arrive! Loved the story and cant wait for more to come! Bring it on Caith Morningfart...I mean Morningstar! :)

Wow loved it !

Well this is definitely my favourite series of ck loved all the characters plenty of action, humour and the story just keeps getting better although I was a little disappointed only papa AL was in this book and I'm still not sure where Sam's and caiths relationship is heading being as he's getting closer to being a full angel so there's potentially no hope for them it's rather frustrating reading the love scenes between them being as its not mutual pleasure it kind of kills it for me hence the 4 stars not 5 but the series is great and I do look forward to the next instalment just hope there relationship progresses more in the next book but other than that little negative like I said the series is amazing and definitely worth reading xx

Caith Morningstar has got another huge battle to fight. Someone is brainwashing the citizens of her town. The children, including her adopted son are affected. That cannot be permitted to continue. Sex seems to be another key ingredient this "person" is using to draw power.
This is an urban fantasy series that is suitable for YA readers. It's exciting and fun. It has lots of danger and fights, as well as laughs. Our kick ass heroine has her love interest , Sam. He is a half fallen angel. This puts a serious restriction of their relationship.
Once you pick up this, or any of the series you will not be able to put it down until you finish it. Great fun.

What a great book. I think Celia was a little nervous if her readers would like her new series when she started it, but as usual with everything I have read from Celia it is great. I enjoy Caith and her ass kicking self very much. Her relationship with all the different otherworldly beings is so much fun. It is so cute to see her with her little brownie and of course we can't forget Sam. That is quite the story in itself. I enjoy the interaction between everyone. Just another day for Caith, saving the world again. I hope she gets a day off soon.

Definitely cant wait for the next part in the series

Another awesome tale

Spellbound throughout, again I steal every moment I can away from the things that must be done to find out the next twist.

Caith handles being semi-single mom and bad-ass while dealing with the return of evil villains thought to be long gone.
Now, I am left to fantasize over what the future may hold, and I hope it is a short wait!

Wow, what a devilish ride! Caith, you can't help but love her snark. Even though she's part demon, niece of Lucifer, she still has a heart even though she would never admit it. I am hoping her and Sam can truly be together some day, maybe the next book? We shall see...
