Liked the characters in this novel. it has tense moments with just enough danger as well as romance! The plot works well with the characters, even though i would of loved to of read what she said to the people of her country and plans for its future instead of reading a sentence about it, summing up the novel. So much could of been added instead of half a novel wasted with pre-views.
The novel it self only takes up 45% of the pages mentioned, and not the full 100%. The rest is a short sneak peak called "What i fight for". as well as many pre-views from other novels by this author.

Sofia isnt just any Woman she is the Crown Princess of Loranza and the first time she seen Xander in person was when he was trying to help her in a bar in a very bad part of town, only he didnt know who she was until one day in the near future she shows up again and Xander will be in charge of keeping her hidden and safe. Xander is part of the Easy Team and this is the first time that his mission has been to protect a Princess and one that will keep giving him trouble and trying to run away. Sofia will learn what it is like to have an ally that isnt in it for themselves and what she can do for them.
What I enjoyed most about Above all Else is watching both Sofia and Xander learn what it is like to have a protector and friend, and someone on her side and Xander finding that he is falling for a Crown Princess. Watching Sofia try to escape to help her uncle but Xander wont loose her and will protect her no matter what. I really liked that part where she thinks she is to good for used clothing but really turning out to like the small town and the way of living. Sofia fits into his life as if she has always been there, although in the back of her mind she worries about her country.
This story is amazing, This story has an mercenary that is apart of Easy Team and one day gets a new mission to protect the Crown Princess as her life is in real danger, A Princess who doesnt want anything to do with Xander and wants to straighten things out with her country but that is not possible, A Princess who seems to be a brat and spoiled and does what ever she wants although once Xander gets to know her better realize that things are not always as they appear on the outside, A love story. If you like stories like this, then Above All Else is a must!

This is Xander and Sofia's book/ Xander is a mercenary who along withe his team - Easy Team - go to places of unrest and help those in need.
Xander first meets Sofia when he rescues her from a bar. he is immediately drawn to her but her attitude is to much.
Sofia is a princess whose parent died when she was young and has been at the mercy of a government official who wants her power.
This is a true don't judge the book by the cover story. All anyone sees is Sofia the party girl, no one sees or understands that her life has not been one party or very happy.
When Easy team is asked to protect her the mission falls to Xander. As the two retreat to his secluded ranch they begin to open up to each other and slowly Sofia realizes Xander has a kind heart and will really protect her. Unlike all she has encountered in her life he wants nothing from her. Xander begins to see that Sofia did not lead a fairy tale life. She suffered abuse and torture at the hands of those who were to protect her. Their attraction becomes more and a relationship blooms. Xander to protect Sofia and make her happy, Sofia to understand that she can be loved.
When trouble in her country causes her to return Xander is by her side.
This is a story of romance,with intrigued thrown in.

This is Xander and Sofia's book in the Easy Team series. Xander is a merc who is one of the good guys. He along with his team-Easy Team, go to help those in need. Xander meets Sofia when she was in a bar and ran into a spot of trouble and he helped her out. He felt this attraction but her mouth was a bit much for him. Sofia is a princess who parents died when she was little and she has been raised by a member of her government who doesn’t care for her but for the power. The official now wants Sofia gone and wants the power. This is more a story of do not judge a book by the cover story 1st and save the princess story 2nd. I loved the chemistry between Xan and Sofia. It was electric; he wanted to save her yet at the same time, wanted to show her he wasn’t there to take over, but love her. The story is really good as it goes along and you see what this official has done to the people, especially what he has done to Sofia for years. I felt so bad for her, living like she has. Easy Team are heroes who are there to help and to right wrongs. I cannot wait to see who is next up for their story to be told.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I have read books by this author in the past and enjoyed them. Gemma Hart has a way of writing fast moving novels that keep you guessing as to what's going to happen next. It also helps that she usually has hunky heroes as well. This is ths second book in her Easy Team Series. They are a group of former military who now work for an off the books company providing services that no government wants to be attached to. Sofia is the princess of a small country who is in the middle of a political coup. Xander's company has been hired to protect her. Xander, was the logical choice having a ranch in rural Wyoming. I enjoyed this book and look forward to future books from this author.

Awesome!! This is another exceptional military bad boy romance. Xander, aka Bear is a member of a military mercenary group that moves in and helps when the government can't. His latest mission is to protect Princess Sofia. They have numerous clashes but as Bear gets to know her he realizes there is more to her. The book takes the reader on a wild trip as the two travel the globe. The trails they go through kept this reader glued to the book. I received a free copy of this book solely in exchange for an honest opinion. I look forward to future books by Ms Hart especially in this server, I hope it continues. (I apologize for this review being delayed. I've had 2 kindle completely break down in the last 3 months.)

When we first meet Sophia, she's portrayed as a spoiled princess out looking for a wild time. I really didn't like her and wasn't looking forward to a book full of her attitude. But beneath that attitude was a really interesting story about a power struggle for control of her kingdom. Sophia grew from an immature spoiled monarch to someone her country could really look up to. And, of course, there was the romance between her and Xander which sizzled from the beginning to round things out.

Sofia was the future queen , but unfortunately with her parents killed while she was younger she was left to be raised by a man that did not have her best interest at heart . Sofia was beaten and starved and keep away from her country to make people believe she didn't care ... But the day Xander walked into her life was a day he world turned upside down. Could the big mercinary really be the person to save her life ... Guess you will have to read the book to find out ....

Amazing story! I loved Bear and Sofia! They're an amazing couple and I could really feel the chemistry between them. Of course, I love all of members of the Easy Team and can't wait to read their stories. It was great visiting with Hawk and Em. The plot was interesting and entertaining. The characters were well-developed and easily relatable. Great read! I've already purchased it for my personal Kindle library!
