I sell drugs. Heroin to be specific. And I'm fucking good at my job. Enough to fight my way to the top, controlling all of Austin's supply.
So what if I had to kill the previous boss to do it. I do what has to be done. Never cared about consequences because I never had anything to lose.
Until I met Miri. My doll. She's my weakness and somehow, my enemies found out about her.
If they hurt her, they will regret the day they ever heard my name. Boss. They call me Boss for a reason. What I say goes, including the price on the heads of anyone who dares to fuck with what belongs to me.
***This book is for readers 18+. It involves graphic descriptions of gangs, drugs, violence, and sex. You will read exactly what you expect to see at an R rated movie about, you guessed it, gangs, drugs, violence, and sex.***
Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the 'dark' side of fame. The part that the public doesn't get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.
Heather was born and raised in New England and after spending 15 years in Atlanta, GA, currently lives north of Houston, TX with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.
Heather loves the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything chocolate (but not white chocolate, everyone knows it's not real chocolate so it doesn't count) and has left explicit instructions in her will to have her ashes snuck into Fenway Park and sneakily sprinkled all over while her family enjoys beer, hot dogs, and a wicked good time.
My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.
Book 2 in the Broken Doll Series and this book was INTENSE AND AWESOME!!
Jag and Miri and both fighting one fight from two separate worlds. Jag is out of his mind trying to figure out how to save Miri from the cruelty she is suffering for loving Jag.
Miri is fighting to just stay alive. Everything she endures is because of her love for Jag.
"REVENGE. DEATH. TORTURE."
When Jag finally receives the information he needs to save his heart, he will never believe who was behind these painful events. No one is safe and Jag is on the war path.
Book 2 was so much better than book 1. Granted I enjoyed the first installment, this book was action packed, blood spilling, heart string pulling goodness!!
One word to describe this book: INTENSE! From start to finish, it’s a non-stop adrenaline rush that is brutal, violent and, not gonna lie, downright disturbing. But wow, what an ending to a gritty story that has held me captivated since I devoured part 1, Junkie.
I’m not going to go into too much detail about the story, but this book picks up immediately after that brutal cliffy from Junkie. Again the story is told in dual POV so we know everything that is going on as Miri and Jagger are put through hell as Jag’s war against his enemies continues to build in intensity, and oh holy God! There’s barely a moment to breathe as it all plays out. Action-packed, violent and so, so intense, so much happens and I love that Leigh kept me on my toes as I was wondering what was going to happen next and how it was all going to unfold.
Full disclosure here – parts of this book may be difficult to read. Leigh holds nothing back in showing us just how vicious Jagger’s world is, and the violence, language and brutality is descriptive, emotive, and shocking at times. But in this sort of book you have to expect that, and it adds a sinister sort of feel to everything, creating a great sense of mood that sucks you even more into the story.
And at the middle of it all is Miri and Jagger. Two damaged people who found something special together and who are trying desperately to hold on to it. The connection between them continues to build, and I loved every moment of them together – hot, passionate, surprisingly romantic and again, intense, their love story is a wonderful contrast to the darkness of their lives. I so admired their strength (Miri especially) as they endure pain, terror and torment, and their development as characters was wonderfully written.
My scars were mine and yes, they represented how far I had to sink before finding the strength to emerge into the light.
Parts of the story are predictable but there are some definite surprises – good and bad – and my heart was racing while I read this one, I could not put it down. The book finishes well with an epilogue which provides great closure, and I finished this book with a sense of accomplishment that I survived such an ordeal!
This duet is a great read if you’re in the mood for dark and gritty (with a side of sexy) and heartfelt emotion woven throughout. It’s my first read by this author and I’m really impressed with the story she told and the world she was able to create, I’m looking forward to checking out more of her work.
I loved it – 4 stars.

Jag and Boss no longer existed as separate entities. The two men had merged into one—lover and criminal, fire and ice, passion and violence. They wove around each other, tangled until there was no way to tell where one man ended and the other began.
This book starts with gruesome horrific scenes of beatings, torture and rape. Again, we get a dual POV, Boss' & Miri's. Overall it is a fast paced read, although I got bored with the constant state of anger Boss is in. fists ready to strike out at anything to quell the fury clawing at my insides Yes! I know, he is angry! His need for revenge undulating in waves out of him. Let's move on! We learn more about Jag's past and how he explains to himself how he became a drug lord.
There is way more violence and bloodshed in this book, like a typical Mafia book would have. The the two other area drug lords, El Cuchillo & Brick, make appearances in this book. We also get a whole different side of Miri, while she was weak and self-destructible in book 1, in book 2 she rises to th challenge. Becoming a strong woman, refusing to break and growing in strength and determination.
Boss and Miri kept their believes high that they would find each other soon with equal despair that they would not. Enduring great and utter deceit, great pain and deep losses Boss never gave up on Miri and Miri never lost faith that Boss would come for her.
Book 2 is a bit darker than book 1 with typical criminal scenes of sex and drugs and things happened more quickly. It was a very intense read where we could feel Miri's angst and Boss's despair. We delve into the dark world of criminals, sex and drugs.
“I think it’s time to start from scratch.”

So at the end of Junkie, Heather C. Leigh had left me abandoned on a cliff edge waiting to see what would happen next to Miri & Jag.
If I thought that Junkie was a dark read, it was twilight compared to the darkness of Jagger. Heather does a superb job at describing every minute detail that makes it feel so real, it was like being in the front row of a movie- watching the story as it all unfolds.
Right from the first page I was pulled back into this story, feeling all the pain and horror described on each page and to be honest I was wincing at certain moments to. It was hard to stop once I started though and then I was all in.
This book is about Jagger reclaiming his life. He finally has someone who he would move mountains for, his doll Miri. To do that however, he needs to seek retribution on those that have wronged him and people he has cared about in his past and present. Only then can he truly be free.
Jag has many enemies and some are closer to him than he thinks. Can a man with such a dark past with so much blood on his hands find his redemption and would he ever feel truly worthy of it?
This was a thrilling, intense and exciting conclusion to the Broken Doll series.
Spoiler Ahead This was a really good book. This was book 2 in the " Broken Doll" series. This book picks up were book 1 left off Miri has been kidnapped by one of Boss's rivals she was taken from his arms she was and tortured and raped. Boss is losing his mind trying to find her he didn't realize how much he is in love with her. He also knows that someone close to him has betrayed him and when he found the person he made them pay. Miri found her friend Cat she has been held for a year used as a sex slave and addict to heroin. Miri was so strong and her captives never broke her. Boss makes a deal with another drug lord Brick which I wouldn't mind reading about to help him find his Doll. Miri was determined to stand my her man and find him because she has something to tell him so she escapes and finds him. This book and this series had hot sex and violence all the things that I like when reading dark erotic reads. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
I was so happy to jump into this after finishing book one as this continues straight from where book one ends.
Oh my days as much as I loved book one this topped it. I felt it stepped up on the angst ladder and I ended up reading these two books in one day.
As I love dark reads I didn't find this dark though that's not saying it's not dark lol if your looking for a really well written intense and gritty story then I highly recommend you one click both and jump right in. Looking forward to seeing what else this author has up her sleeve:)
This is the conclusion to Junkie which ended in a way that left me nervous about what would happen next. Jagger starts off exactly where Junkie left us. Miri has been taken by Jagger's enemies as a way to get revenge on him. I honestly was not sure how this story would go in the sense of what would they do to this poor girl who has already been through so much. At some moments I wanted to close my eyes and not have to read what was coming next. Trying my hardest not to skip those dark parts that caused knots in my stomach. It was as if I was going through it with her, except for one little fact. Miri was a much stronger person than I think I would ever be. She held on and faced everything that they did to her with strength. She held on for herself and for Jag. She would not let them break her no matter how hard it seemed to be.
Jagger deals with what happens next, after Miri is kidnapped. Through it all you see just how deep their love for each other truly is. You see Miri fighting to survive and then you see Jag struggling with himself as well as being without the woman that he loves. Jag is the man that is sweet and loving and misses everything about his doll. Boss on the other hand is the drug lord who will do anything to get his woman back. He is the guy that will kill the people who have hurt her. You see the struggles that he goes through trying to be the Boss so that he can think clearly and make the right decisions. Because when he is Jag he seems to become a little soft where Miri is concerned and loses focus. But right now he needs to be the right man for her. In order to save her he needs to put it all aside and concentrate on what needs to be done.
I really enjoyed this second installment. I was on the edge of my seat as I turned each page. I needed to know how it would all end, who do you trust and who will stab you in the back. There was so much drama, angst and suspense that I just could not put this book down. My emotions were up and down, praying that it would all be ok. Feeling for Miri and what she was going through. At the same time I found myself yelling at Jag not to trust certain people. I love the two of them together and wanted them to get their happy ever after.
This is the first series that I have read by this author. Overall I loved it but for me I wish that there was a little bit more emotional moments between the two of them and less intimate scenes. I guess I wanted to know more about Miri's past and how she got where she was. But I also wanted it in a way where they shared their pasts and their emotions with each other. But over all a very enjoyable read.
This duet is everything you could want in a dark romance. From the characters, the violence, the sex, EVERYTHING was amazing! Miri has been through hell and back, her life was horrible, she left it to end up no better off, a junkie that will do anything for a fix. She bravely goes where no sane person would, right up to Boss' house, the infamous drug lord of Austin himself, I told you she would do anything for a fix. While Miri might seem crazy for doing this, it was the best thing to happen to her and Boss definitely did NOT see this girl coming. She flipped his world upside down from day one. This story comes with alot of drama, of course drug lords have enemies and they can do some ruthless things to get what they want. Boss will do anything for Miri and he does. These are MUST reads! Be prepared for a MASSIVE cliffie, but it's sooooo worth it!
I was anxiously waiting for the second book to Jag and Miri's story, and it did not disappoint!!! Jag would do anything for Miri and it clearly showed in this book. It is an edge of your seat, tension filled thriller. I'm surprise I have any nail left! There is once scene that sticks out for me like a bad car wreck...you don't want to look but can look away either...it was like that. I didn't want to continue but I couldn't stop either! Miri is 100% pure fighter and I adore that. That girl went through hell and back and was still able to walk on her own two feet. And Jagger is one tough guy! (insert more tough guy expletives). He was not going to stop for nothing!
The book is filled with drama, action, and heartbreak, and gore and I could not put it down! The author did an amazing job coming up with this story and writing these characters! It was a pleasure to read this series. It was out of my comfort zone but I loved them! Junkie and Jagger are a MUST READ!!!
Another great read, and the conclusion of Broken Doll
A lot happens in this, the second book in the duo, it's pretty busy, with things picking up right where Junkie left off, and Miri having been taken right from under Jag's nose.
When she was taken, she was dumped in a hole of a place, but one good thing comes of that..... she finds her lost friend Cat being held and used by El Cuchillo as well. After all the torture she goes through, she's about at the end of her tether, and ready to give up, when the pair decide it's now or never if they want to escape. Cat gets away, but Miri ends up back in the arms of her captor. Now it's all up to Jag and his men to save her.
I was upset about the outcome with Shade, he would have been a great match for Cat!! But maybe her's is a story for another book?
Great story, loads of action and lovin' and of course the perfect HEA, at last!!
This series was just amazing,I hated to have to pjt this book down when I had to do real life stuff. But this book like Junkie, was just amazing. There was just some raw emltional writing about Miri and all that she had endured and just the amazing strength.she possessed. But Jagger wasn't a slouch by any means. He lost his sister after trying to get to her by becoming what kept her from him. After her loss Jagger hardened his heart until Miri. This is just exceptional as was Junkie, I loved the story line and the characters. Just a great readbythis exceptional author.
Im a recovering addict(9 yrs clean from heroin), and I loved this book. It made me laugh, cry, and fully get feels for Boss/Jag and Miri. I wish there was a book 3. The withdrawl scenes were true but I know Miri would have went through a lot more when she was being blind detoxed, however Mrs Leigh does an excellent job, showing the levels of depravity addicts go through, self imposed and inflicted by others. Thank you Heather C Leigh for showing that there can be life after addiction. Even if we do struggle for the rest of our lives, we can still live productive lives. I will be reading everything else you wrote...Thank you
Romance and Fantasy for Cosmopolitan Girls Siamo al secondo atto della serie. That bastard took what was mine and laid his hands on her body. Hurt her. Frightened her. My hands curled into fists on my thighs. When I found him I would make him wish he was never born. Criminals didn’t rally behind a sniveling, pussy weakling. They followed a leader. A Boss.
Anche Miri la conosce bene: ha perso molti anni della sua vita facendosi di eroina e ora che finalmente ne è venuta fuori, deve combattere per non ricaderci. The fucking bastard was smiling. He was literally getting off on my fear. Feeding on my terror. Every scream was pleasure, every jerk against the cuffs a sulthry stroke, that brought him closer to satisfaction, every whimpered in his hear.
Consigliato!

Sometimes when I approach the ending of a series, the buildup is so much, that I get let down at the ending. Not the case here! I can tell you that Jagger, book 2 of the Broken Doll Duet, by Heather C. Leigh is all that AND a bag of chips! Have you ever been so engrossed in a story that you wish you could just press a pause button on life. Yeah, that was me! I actually put ear plugs in my ears so nothing would disturb me while reading!
The story line is excellent, the pace of the book is wonderful, and the writing is written with so much emotions! I could actually feel how enraged Jagger was as well as how scared Miri and Cat (Miri’s friend) were. I loved the ending and I am soo hopeful that Cat will get her own book!
This is a must read series!!

The second book to the series and has you holding your breath till the end. Mimi captive by a enemy drug lord of Jag aka Boss all she can think about is not letting them break her. Jag is going crazy trying to find Mimi. Who should Jag trust? Will Mimi be able to get out alive? Will Mimi and Jag finally have there lives back? This series ended with a bang! Dark, twisted and crazy ride. This book had me stuck like glue wanting to know what happened next! It was like riding a roller coaster you didn't know when or if it was all gonna fall. Great book from start to finish. A must read! 5/5 stars Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Reads - ARC provided for a honest review ****
Book 2 of the Broken Doll Series and just WOW! My only complaint is it wasn't long enough!
We rejoin Jag and Miri after at the end of book 1. That awful Kindle throw inducing cliffhanger is finally over. I'm finding it really hard to write this bit as i don't want to give any spoilers of the story-line because you need to read Junkie before this and if i write too much here then it will spoil the cliffhanger bit. But in very short summary the story continues much in the way Junkie ended. Violent and loving. Yes they're contradictions but just go with it.
I am so happy my fingers have been pried of that cliffhanger ledge and i have the full story. Jag stole my heart completely in this book. He was close at the end of Junkie to having it i just needed a push and this book was it. He's actually a little bit of a split personality. He's two men, Boss and Jag. Before Miri came along he was just Boss. Spending years getting rid of any traces of Jag after his sister died he became the mean heartless and very much ruthless drug dealer everyone knew. When Miri came along something inside him split and the Jag side of him fought to break free. Although i loved both sides of him the Jag side made me fall for him. Always so protective and not just of Miri but all those close to him.
Miri grew and grew throughout these two books. From the beaten down junkie she started off as to the strong loving woman she became. She had to fight every step of the way to get her ending and the road she traveled was filled with pain both physical and emotionally. I've probably never read a character quite as strong but i think without Jag she would not have made it. She drew off his strength and used it in her times of need. Poor Miri suffers badly in this book. I'm biting my tongue right now because i want to say what happens to her but i won't. I will say be prepared to suffer with her but know that the end is worth it.
This book was gripping and heartbreaking. It was loaded with so many bullets they come from all directions at the couple. Sometimes i wondered if they would ever get a break. Thank god they did because it makes it all worth while.
The chemistry between the two was amazing. If any couple were meant to be it was these guys. They go together so well each relying upon the other to bring out the best.
Although Junkie was a slow starter for me overall the two books together are really amazing. Pretty dark and sometimes difficult to read but the ending for me brought the two books together and made for an amazing story.
Really really really highly recommend these books especially because you won't have to wait after that evil cliffhanger!
*I have actually brought another of this authors books based on this book i was that impressed*
“‘Mine,’ he snarled when we tore apart, gasping for air. He walked us to the nearest surface and set me down on it. I felt cold metal beneath me and realized I was on the hood of his two million dollar 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB. ‘Jag. The car-’ ‘Fk the car.’”
Heat Rating:
5+ Jag is my life stars!!! Just when I thought I couldn’t love Heather anymore, she lays this book on me. I’d give it a million stars if I could!
Jagger picks up where Junkie left off, if you haven’t read book one, you might want to turn away. Miri awakes in her own personal prison, held captive by Jagger’s enemy. Jagger is bound and determined to find the girl he calls his own, no matter what the cost. The only problem is, one of his men is betraying him and he has no clue who it is. Jag will stop at nothing to get Miri back and when he does, he realizes not everyone is who they seem to be. Not to mention the secret that Miri hold… will it all be too much for Jag??
Seriously, I’ve come to love everything Heather writes, but this has got to be my favorite of her books to date!! I was sucked in, deeply invested and my heart broke for both Miri and Jag, watching them struggle with the torture they go through! Heather knows how to write one deeply disturbing book, but with so much heat and heart. You’ll find yourself having a hard time putting the book down…. Great job… yet again Heather!

"Jagger" is the Thrilling and Passionate second book in Heather C. Leigh's Broken Doll series and it is worth every breath stealing moment spent reading this Dark Romance. The Hero and Heroine, Jagger/Boss and Miri, are still as obsessed, possessive, and sexually amped up as in the first novel but the stakes are higher in this book because the danger level is off the charts. Now it's Jag's enemies are aware of Miri's presence in his life and that she's his weakness - her life will constantly be at risk. The previous book "Junkie" ended in a cliffhanger, and "Jagger" picks up very soon after that first novel ended. The cast of characters grows out of unfortunate circumstances, coincidence, and need. Miri gets a sidekick. Jagger has an enemy that becomes a partner of convenience. And we meet El Cuchillo - the "Big Bad", worst of the worst, Jag's nemesis. The sexy Anti-Hero and the petite Alpha Heroine are put in more than a few life and death situations, sometimes coming out the worse for wear. Not all of the action happens on Jag's property and in Austin like in "Junkie". There is a lot more moving around Texas for all of the characters. Also, if you can believe it, this installment is even more violent and bloody - so much more so. Jag loses his shit a lot! So if you aren't squeamish, you enjoy Dark Romances, and enjoy your sex scenes loud, rough, and demanding then this is the series for you! If you are on the fence about these criteria … give these two books a try - unless you have some 'triggers' - you might want to sit this one out. However, my Dark Romance meter has risen and the Broken Doll series is one of the reasons. "Jagger" is the second installment of the Broken Doll series and it is the follow-up to the Cliffhanger ending in "Junkie" so it is definitely not a stand-alone book. Keep that in mind. However, Heather C. Leigh has created an addictive darkly, wanton, and romantic series though steeped in A LOT of violence. If you have issues with kidnapping, drug use, torture, and/or rape definitely don't read this. Some of the violence is not overly graphic but it is graphic enough to make it's point. Although Jag is a feared and violent Drug Lord he is incredibly vulnerable and out of his mind in love when it comes to Miri. Jag is an Anti-Hero with a heart of gold. Miri is a victim but she is extraordinarily strong and fierce beating the odds not only for herself but carrying/pushing those she loves with her to safety. She is absolutely an Alpha Heroine. I was hesitant to pick up this series but I am extremely happy that I did. To read the entire review please visit: http://wp.me/p4XqxF-1oZ This novel was provided in exchange for an unbiased review
I finished Jagger late at night and was still reeling from it the following morning. Jagger is one of those books that gets under your skin and leaves you with an imprint! I absolutely adored this book!
Jagger by Heather C. Leigh is the second book in the Broken Doll Series, the first book being Junkie (you can check out my 6 star review of Junkie here - ). We were left completely hanging after Junkie and I could not wait to dive into Jagger to see how Miri and Jag AKA Boss AKA Bossman’s tale was going to go.
I must warn you that Jagger is not for the fainthearted. It is a dark romance, a fast ride that is full of action, suspense and angst and above all love. It all played out beautifully in my mind while reading - this is the type of book you could see on the big screen! What shone for me throughout the book was the level of devotion the two main characters had for each other. They lengths they would both go to in the name of love had no end. It was the type of love you fantasize about and hope that you find one day!
Heather is such an amazing author - she drew me into the story from the very first page. I was already attached and invested in the characters after reading Junkie and it just grew stronger while reading Jagger! The detail into which Heather goes throughput the book allows your imagination to run wild, while drawing all the emotions that are humanly possible out of you at the same time.
I loved this series because it was so different to me. I’ve read an unbelievable amount of books over the past couple of years, that it takes a book to be something different to stand out to me and the Broken Doll Series was this for me. Once you start Jagger you may need to sign yourself off from the world around you as you are most definitely going to be unreachable.
If you have read Junkie, then it is a no-brainer and I need not persuade to read Jagger (as I am damn sure you will!). If you have not yet started the Broken Doll Series I strongly urge you to do so now! This series was beyond amazing, I loved experiencing Miri and Jags tale - with all its surprises and all the FEELS you could possibly need!!
Jagger by Heather C. Leigh is the sequel to Junkie, and all I can say is WOW! This book was so good and there was never a dull moment. It starts off right after the end of Junkie and Miri has been taken and Jag beaten badly. From this point on things moved at the speed of light to the unbelievable finish.
There was so much angst, anger, hatred brewing between Jag and El Cuchillo, and the worst part of all is when Jag finds out he has been betrayed, which is what caused his broken doll to be taken. So many crazy things happened and I do not want to give the ending away, except to say I loved loved loved this book! As much trouble as these people caused Miri and Jag, there was still a love that was new to both of them, one they both had never felt before and it made it that much harder for both of them, especially Jag to keep it together. In the end though, he was able to do what he had to do, to save his "broken doll".
There was a scene that was so touching between Miri and Jag towards the end that made me cry, this book is an emotional read, so if you are not one who wants to experience reading about unconditional love, hate, happy scenes when Miri finally finds out where her best friend Cat went, horrible things that happen to these two and the gut wrenching despair of being addicted to heroin, with no end in sight then this book is not for you! If you do read it I guarantee you will be so glad you did!
I gave this book 5***** emotionally charged stars and can't wait to read more by this author~!
I was kindly given an ARC in exchange for an honest review, I gave this roller coaster of ride 5 stars.
Boss the biggest, baddest drug lord. His one weakness, his broken doll but someone wants to break him by hurting her. Forces threaten to tear them apart before they've even got started. Now it's time for "Boss" to take a final stand and show the world that no one messes with anything that belongs to him.
So Jagger picks up right where book one left us with that damn cliffhanger. I hoped this book would be as good as Junkie and it did not disappoint, in fact I think that Jagger may have been better than the first book. Be warned this story is absolutely brutal and some parts of it may be a little too difficult to read at times but this just proves what an awesome talent Heather is, when she can give you all of the feels, making her you feel as though you have been put through the wringer.
Jagger's world is absolutely cut throat and the story depicts this perfectly. It's full of angst, drama and violence that takes you on a nail biting journey from start to end. Miri and Jagger are possibly my favourite couple. Their love shines out like a beacon amongst all of the chaos that befalls them.
If you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for?
So let me just say that Heather has gained a new fan in me just from this two book series, alone.
Jagger takes off like bullet from where Junkie ended and never once loses it pace. It's a quick read but not once do I feel like there was never enough description or anything left out. I felt the pain, hatred, disparity, just everything that Miri goes through - but damn is that woman a fighter and a trooper. If you once thought she was a weak and timid woman, you won't after this book.
Jag - where do I start??? How he didn't kill every single person that stood in front of him, it a flat-out blessing. I could feel his anger, his need for vengeance billowing out of him. But underneath all that, I could feel his love for Miri powering through it all.
Let me just say that Heather is one hell of a story teller. She wove this story together with intricate and precise detail, I loved it. Yes, there were things that were pretty easy to figure out, but I don't think the mystery was the whole point of it. I did wish we could have gotten more from why the "traitor" chose to betray Jag but I think the reason was pretty much understood since a certain point beforehand.
I loved this story. Loved these characters and felt that Heather played it all out perfectly. Another highly recommended read!!!
Author Heather C. Leigh’s JAGGER is a suspenseful, twisted, and an intense romance! Especially after JUNKIE captivate me and then wrecked me with a cliffhanger!
"Holy d@mn, what a ride!”
FIVE-STARS! Miri and Jagger are two persons slaying their demons of their past, but found something more in each other and are trying to explore it together. As they try to build a life together with the intensity between these, two the sex scenes are scorching hot as their love for one another, which are nothing, like their past. The torment and strength they will have to endure for each other is a true testament of love and courage.
“When we stepped under the hot spray, Jag ran his soapy hands over my body, and for the first time in a long time, I had hope. This man was my future and I had no doubt he would do whatever it took to make sure I was happy. That we were happy. I closed my eyes and allowed Jag to lead the way. I would follow him anywhere.”
While Jag leaves to ensure their happiness, Miri suffers…but I cannot say any more without giving everything away.
“My scars were mine and yes, they represented how far I had to sink before finding the strength to emerge into the light."
An intense, gut-wrenching, and guns blazing romance that just might break your heart – so 'One-Click' today and read Miri and Jag’s story!
Jagger is book 2 and the conclusion of Jagger's and Miri's story. You need to read Junkie first before reading this one or you'll be lost.
It starts off with Miri being held captive and Jagger going out of his mind trying to figure out who has her. He might be a ruthless killer, but when it comes to his doll, the man is a possessive sweetheart who will do anything necessary to get Miri back and make her safe. Miri is not treated kindly by her captors. We discover who the traitor is and I was proud of myself at guessing their identity before it was revealed. The story is loaded with more action while at the same time giving us the romance we love.
I'm always a fan of the dark and dangerous heroes. And when they fall in love, I'm their biggest fan pulling for a happy ending. Jagger was no different. I liked him from the very beginning and by the end of the series, I was completely in love with him. Miri is a great heroine. She's been through so much in her life, beaten by her mother, addicted to heroin, kidnapped and abused. These two could not have met anyone more perfect.
Overall, I thought this was a great story. It's told from dual POVs and kept my attention through both books.
Jagger is the second book in the Broken Doll series, and it is the conclusion to Jag and Miri's story.
After Junkie, the first book in this series, ended with a major cliffhanger, I have been eager to get my hands on this book. If you thought Junkie was a dark read, this one will blow your mind. It is brutal and violent-a lot darker than Junkie for sure. Once again, this author's attention to detail and use of descriptive words will completely draw you into the story, and you will feel as if you are right along side Jag and Miri experiencing everything that they go through.
Miri has faced many struggles in her life and survived, but when she is kidnapped by evil and sadistic men, she realizes that her only hope of survival lies in Jag. Will he find her before its too late?
Jag aka "Boss" is a drug lord who rules with an iron fist. He is feared by all and for good reason. He is a man better left alone. When Miri is kidnapped and hurt, Jag sees red and will not stop until the men who were involved are dead
Whew..reading these two books wore me out. They are both filled with action packed, nail biting moments from start to finish. If you are ready for a wild ride, one click these books now!
