Nice introduction to this important Hindu celebration. I think that learning about what other cultures celebrate can tell you how we are all connected; the commonalities that we share expressed through hope. If we would just take the time to try to understand other cultures then I think it might lower many of the tensions we feel towards other communities. A great idea to start with books like this for small children.

I have read a number of books on Holi and felt that this one was super informative and very well done.

Photo essay book
illustrations are all done with real photos.
This book is about a festival in India called Holi. It goes over the kinds of food they eat and activities they do. It looks like a lot of different colors is a very big part of the celebration.

I like the book makes me want to go
