Real is in prison doing a ten year bid and just as real on the inside as he was in the free world....making smart moves and keeping his eyes and ears to the streets. Stix finds out just how heavy the head is that wears the crown.....and also takes heed to Real's intuition and warnings as he navigates Mosby projects. Fresh is the top dog.....but for how long? Major is dead so they say...and Real wants answers. Drama is playing chess and the revenge is so sweet he can taste it...with Loc out of the picture and Real in prison he wants to finish Chaos for good....but he forgot the saying...when you dig a grave for a man make sure you dig two. Loc has risen from the dead......and playing his position quietly until he can make sure that Drama is done for good. As with any good chess player, Loc and Drama always seem to find pawns but who will get the checkmate? Will real truly recognize real? I'm headed to read Stalemate now and find out.

Much has gone on in the world of Real and Fresh. Things have changed and they have changed. We are about to meet a different Fresh. Fresh becomes someone we don’t even recognize. Real is locked up and his future is looking dim. Let’s travel into Real Recognize Real 3 and see what changes have come.

We meet up with several characters from Starling’s previous works and boy have they changed. Major, Loc, Drama, Fresh, Real, Stix and several others who play a part in this story, are back and they are sharing their lives with us. Their lives are now starting to intertwine even more than they have before. They are starting to wonder who is real and who can be trusted?
Real is locked up and wondering what is really going on? Fresh is out making moves that are going against the code of the streets. In the meantime, while these two are going through their own personal trials, Agent McCray is trying to build a case that will stick. As you already know, there will be surprises along the way. Will things ever be the same? Will Real become just a memory? Will Fresh join the forces that were against him in the streets? How will it end?

I am giving four stars. Starling came back hard in Real Recognize Real 3. He has a fresh look and makes you fall in love with certain characters all over again. Kudos for a job well done.
