Professionally accomplished but socially awkward, Fredericka Spears can’t ask for anything else in her life except for one thing – to know the pleasure of a man’s possession. The truth is, she’s tired of being a virgin. She’s tired of pleasuring herself while fantasizing about a man she can never have.
A man who’s beautiful, powerful, and well six years younger---
Like she says: he’s a man she can’t ever have.
To put an end to her agony and stupid fantasies, Fredericka decides to take a lover, but guess who volunteers for the job?
The beautiful, powerful, and younger Russian billionaire Sergei Grachyov – also known as that man she can’t ever have.
Note: My Russian Beast is a hot full-length standalone (no-cliffhanger) billionaire romance. It also includes Book 1 of my Russian stepbrother romance trilogy, When I Moan.
Really good story about a younger, sexy billionaire playbook and an older, innocent virgin lawyer. I'm not really sure I was all too thrilled with the amount of time passing in the book, though I do know it is important to develop. I do have to put warning out there that there is cheating...at least in my mind there is. He was having sex with someone even though the H & h decided to be friends.
All in all really good story and angsty just like Ms. Tee writes. I can't wait to read the next books in the series, though I do wish all her books were out on Kindle Unlimited instead of just a few.
I am so glad this book was a stand alone, as most of her books aren't! I loved it. I love the way her awkward female characters always end up with the billionaires!
Can you stop calling H as billionaire instead his name? I do like the concept of story, but the writing is killing me. They give each other blow job in first time they meet, and then decide to just be friend. And the friend period keep going few years, yes it is years not weeks or months. This book probably my most painful reading of this year. I like the idea of story, and it can easy become one of my favorite. That is why I keep reading to end even read the bonus story of H's brother. But the more I read, the more frustrated I am. I wish some other authors can rewrite the story.

And the Grachyov boys are back in the form of the oldest brother Sergei!
Fredericka, socially awkward and the billionaire Russian who holds people at bay. You first get to know Sergei in When I Moan and the love they have for their step sister and the loyalty of this family but not a lot. I'm glad he has his own story and how powerfully your emotions are engaged, and visiting the emotional spectrum lake through the read.
The standout being the fierceness of how much passion you can feel within the story. These boys or their woman do not do half anythings, well not for those they love and it comes out through the words on the pages, the interactions of the characters and the authors uncanny ability to make you just feel that moment.
Reading funks are the worse, so to be able to bust out of one with Sergei Grachyov and Fredericka's story is a positive in my book!
The premise of this book was very good. When I read the synopsis, I thought it was going to be a great game of cat and mouse. While it was a game of cat and mouse, I can't say that I'd call it great.
Fredericka is a woman on the path of a great career, but she finds herself lacking something and decides to go for it. She chose Alexeyev, but he isn't who she ends up with. Sergei places himself in the center of her life and refuses to budge. He basically doted on her and became her best friend, but only because Fredericka wouldn't let him be more. He spent the majority of the book being her friend and waiting in the wings for her to admit to wanting more. She had a very bad experience with younger men/older women, so she held herself and, ultimately, her happiness back. I liked that she pursued what she wanted in her career and that she was successful in her own right. She honestly didn't need a man, but she desperately want one.
The things I didn't like was the fact that while Sergei doted on Fredericka, he was essential a condescending a**hole. In his head he would call her stupid or silly (not necessarily those exact words, but the meaning is there). I felt like he really loved her, but at the same time it seemed as though he thought he was better than her. I also felt that the synopsis of the book was very misleading. It repeatedly said Sergei was a man Fredericka couldn't have, she in fact she could. Literally, she could have had him at any moment. He became her best friend because she wouldn't have him. He went against all his rules and his tight control, just so she could have him. She repeatedly rejected him. It also said she decided to take a lover and Sergei volunteers; that's not quite what I got from the story, but interpretations are a big part of writing so maybe that's just me. Also, why did they keep referring to Sergei as the Russian or the Billionaire? I got that in the first chapter...he's a Russian billionaire; why repeatedly refer to him as that. It seems like Sergei would have been much easier to refer to him as. As nicknames, I think they were both bad.
Overall, the plot was well thought out and the scenes were interesting. I enjoyed reading the book and would probably recommend it to those who have an affinity for Russian billionaire romances.
*received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*
It's like a 3.7 for me. It was cute. It was a silly romance that dealt with some serious things. Since there's another story in here, I halved the page count to estimate My Russian Beast's number of pages. Even with there being a little more than 100 pages (100-150 roughly) the story was told a little too fast for me, skipping to all the main parts and then resuming the details there. Some information like passing characters were mentioned but never really introduced.
The main characters, Freddie and Sergei, were fun. I liked how ridiculous Fredericka could be at times, and trust me, she was really embarrassing lol Her insecurities were hard to deal with but they weren't atrocious. I just don't have the stomach to go through unnecessary drama, especially if the character can't help herself when it comes to self-sabotaging her happiness because she feels she deserves it. I can deal with characters who have problems (who doesn't have problems, you know?). Sergei was just as fun, and it was interesting to see how aggressive he could be with someone so contained. His actions for hiding things towards the end were a little weird for me, mainly because he seemed to be doing so well with handling Freddie, only to then do the ONE thing that he knew he should never do...? And to blame his age didn't sit right with me, because there are men who are older than Fredericka who've done the same things he has, so it wasn't really a legit reason to prove that he's 'young'. I don't know. This feels like an "we all make mistakes" thing so I personally can't yell at them for making mistakes, but at the same time, it still feels weird.
I enjoy Tee's writing style, and while this had the drama this author is known for, this was definitely one of her more lighter reads. I love the Grachyov family and since this book spans over a few years, I can't wait to see what Tee has in store for the rest of this family. There's a list in this book that pretty much hints at who's going to be in this standalone-series, and I so intend to read all of them. If you're looking for a book with hot romance, drama, roleplay, a ridiculously naive character and a hottie-tottie Russian billionaire, try this one out.
Sergei Grachyov is handsome, young, rich and the CEO of his family's mutlibillion dollar company. With just a look or touch, he can have any woman he wants. While in a cafe, Sergei sees his former mentor and professor, Julian Alexeyev. Sergei can't believe his eyes or ears when a woman attempted but failed horribly to flirt with Julian. Seeing the fire she tries to hide makes Julian want her. And in want, he means to F*@K her.
Fredericka Spears is tired of being a 29 year old lonely virgin. She's ready to do something about it. She's determined to get Julian's attention and make him her boyfriend. While trying her best to flirt with him, she's interrupted by a arrogant sexy guy who refuses to take no for an answer. She has no intention of giving the arrogant ass the time of day. She does not and will not date younger men.
I was given this ARC for an honest review. Sergei is the older brother of Vassi in "When I Moan" which is book 1 of 3. The Grachyov men are so effing sexy. You will laugh out loud when Sergei watches Fredericka attempting to flirt with Julian.....too funny. This story has a lot of sexual tension, but when it's finally released it's hot as hell. You don't cry as much in this book, but it wouldn't be a Marian Tee book if you didn't cry at least once ;) I love Marian Tee's books, she's is a fabulous writer.
The Grachyov family is back again depending on the order you've read Marian Tee's book. Not to mention Freddie's friends make a cameo and I just LOVE when that happens. These two have an unusual relationship. He wants more from her yet she doesn't, she lets the age gap get to her. He likes to remind that even though she's technically older, all his experiences with life makes him older than her. Freddie never really had a family, so from going to nothing, to the Grachyov was exactly what she needed... Freddie has such loving heart, when she loves, she holds nothing back. I admire that about her. The couple had a lot of ups and downs but at the end, it was a beautiful ending. I love how Sergei never gave up, he had faith till the very end
This book was amazing. Since reading Vassi and Seri as well as the Prince of Darkness books I couldn't wait to see what Frederica and Sergei were going to bring us. I have to say Sergei did not astound me in his awesomeness as I new from his siblings book that he was going to be the bomb as a lead character. He was exceptional and so was Freddie.
I have to add though that the females always seem to have a host of hang ups, and at the end the males as well.
All in all the Russian Beast makes us all probably want to get our beast on like the heroine lol
Even though Misha is my fav Grachyov, I enjoyed Sergei's story immensely. The interaction between him and Federicka was extremely funny at times. Loved how he wooed her. Some drama but that was over before it got intense. Good story.
3.5 stars! I feel her side of things and reasoning was long winded. I was also a couple of times lost like it jumped in the beginning. But I did enjoy it quick read for my morning.
