Team Camelot has recovered from the devastation of their last mission, and it's time to go back to work. This time, they find themselves working right here in the good ol' US of A, taking out the top echelons of an entire drug cartel, and Noah gets the chance to use some of Wally's supergadgets. The mission comes off better than anyone could have hoped, and the team heads for home.
But then all four of their phones signal an incoming message: Neverland under attack!
Only Team Camelot is still able to function, and Noah and his team are given the orders they thought they'd never hear: Go out on their own, and get the sons of bitches who did this!
With Allison's life in the balance, Noah and the team go after the only person who could mastermind such an attack...

David Archer was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He is a fiction author and novelist, writing in the mysteries and thrillers genre. His approach to writing is to hit deep, keep you entertained, and leave you wanting MORE with every turn of the page. He writes mysteries, thrillers, and suspense novels, all of which are primed to get your heart pumping.
I read the first and enjoyed it. Fresh and interesting with all races and sexes being given equal brilliance in the world of spy vs spy kil kill.
Then slowly something changed. I noticed this book had the same plot as the previous book.
Our team, led by the emotional stunted but genius messiah Noah is followed up by his 1. Transportation specialist to drive him around and out race bad guys. She is also in love with our main dude and we are told about every sex chance, as well as shower chance they have. Ok. Whatever, she understands he can't love her and it's not allowed anyway. BUT. Somewhere along the way, she does love him, and he stills carries on in the sexual relationship knowing it is against the rules (rules are his structure for life as he sees himself as nonhuman). Ok. She seems ok with that so consenting adults yada yada. But what got me is he starts telling her to "grab me a donut/clothes-for-shower Sarah". Boy was that off putting. He doesn't ask, he doesn't thank her and he doesn't ask Neil or Moose, his male team mates to do this. And speaking of those, Neil is the opposite of Noah, he is an emotional teenager and cries a lot (normal as he sees some awful stuff). But why again is he a part of an assassination team when he loses his head when someone dies, gets taken, or is wounded? They trained for this, all of them. Neil pulls through but not without lots of hugs from Sarah and Moose (his adopted big sis and bro).
Oh, and despite the no relationship rule, all 3 have blossoming romances. Smh. I guess the rules don't apply when you are a Vulcan.
So I gave up. Mostly because of this. The book could have been a novella. It was stretched out by telling us the following:
What time they woke up everyday. Where they ate for breakfast and most times what they had. What tech they were carrying. When they showered. When they had sex or made a phone call. Where they had lunch. Repeat. How long they rode in the car and what was on the radio. Where they ate dinner. Again, showers, phones, sex.
All. The. Time. I think I lost count at how many fast food chains as well as hotel brands were mentioned. For the amount of food consumed (steak and 3 eggs over easy was a staple), and very little application of their rigorous parkour training, I don't see how they fit behind the wheel after 3 missions.
I was disappointed. I wanted to see the team in tight spots and NOT having 25 navy seals and delta force as their out, but using their brains and training to escape. Nope. No running involved. Just making phone calls and the answer of "oh your so important to us that were sending 10 teams to assist yiu and you are the commander of them. Hell, even overseas, MI6 did this.
This is lazy writing and not worth your time. The cat and mouse game was quickly turned into "lets just call up 100 cats..k?"
And the last part...Noah was told to stand down. If he didnt, there would be consequences. (Death). He ignores his CO and does things his own way and gets an effing parade coming home. Wha??? Accountability anyone?
I read ahead the 1st chapter of book four which was at the end of this one. I knew I made the right choice when it opened with sex, shower and get this...Noah is choosing Sarah's clothes. Low cut sexy clothes for THE OFFICE MEETING WITH THEIR BOSS. Why? Because he likes her to look that way and the other two males are easier to get along with when she dresses all sexed up.
Yea. That's a big win for girls in position of power for ya.
Pass it by. It is a great idea executed by a 14 yr old who just discovered girls have boobies. The females in this series had potential. Until they started being relegated to sexual objects by mysogonistic team leaders and peers.
You can find a better book that treats females as equals. Being feminine and even sexy is awesome. As long aa you're not defined by it. And that's where this is going.
However if you like to read about various food at fast food and chain restaurants, this book may serve as a good travel log. I know how far it is from the Holiday Inn Express to Bob Evans (1 mile) in Alexandria, and what the author considers a great meal. That's something I guess.
I sooo wanted to love this series, hence why I continued to read it after the 1st, then 2nd book to get to this one. The plot has such potential but it's getting flushed down the toilet because my non-emotional Vulcan of a main character is GETTING EMOTIONAL....over and over again! Like u said, in between showers and sex with Sarah, there's eating. Oh, and by the way, they're TRAINED ASSASSINS who occasionally have something interesting going on. Ugh. So disappointed.
I can't stand constant sex scenes (albeit not descriptive or long ones) or down time discussing monotonous everyday activities in my action thriller books. More action! More ass kicking! More running, evading, shooting...just more action please! Logical, intense, thoughtful action.
Guess it's back to my assassin-crush, Victor. 😍 He's gonna be a hard one to beat. No one's come close yet. #TomWood #LoveMeSomeVictor
The author has exceeded his last book on Noah Wolf greatly. It was interesting from the first page thru. The action never let you down. Great book would highly recommend it to anyone that likes to read a good thriller.
Noah & team are shutting down a major drug cartel & are heading back to base to celebrate. A messages comes through that base has been attacked and to stay away and on the run. Piecing together what little information they have, it's determined that Noah's nemesis Andropov is the cause and is hunting Noah for retribution. Delving deeper into Noah's past it's discovered that his childhood friend Molly might be in danger. Since Noah joined E&E he was declared dead and his new identity created for ops work. Does the emotionless man let Molly know he's alive and will it help the team better know him? What will Noah do to eliminate Andropov once & for all? Noah, Moose, Neil, & Sarah have to plan an op with more than death on their minds.
I have read some of the negative reviews and to be honest, personally , I like the way the stories are written. All my reviews are based on my own opinion and from the first in the series I disregarded the negatives and made my own mind up. This story sees the characters develop and gel together to form not only a family unit but a fighting unit, all of them. The action is there, the humor is there and yes , like James Bond, you expect them to succeed but there is still the unexpected. As always a page turner and yes , I will be reading the next one now. Brilliant stuff. Well worth my time reading . But that's simply my opinion.
I enjoy these books but they could be a lot shorter if the author didn't describe every time they eat dinner and every other mundane thing they do. For super assassins they make lots of stupid mistakes that don't end up getting them killed. Also their super-duper top secret organization has more people that know about it than the FBI. The characters are cliched and shallow, all we really know about them is what they like for dinner. Please lay off the robot/Vulcan description every time Noah enters a room, does it really matter that everyone understand that the lead killer is a little whacked?
Book number 3 in the Noah Wolf series finds Noah and his team staying in the USA and taking on a drug cartel. The assignment is to kill the entire cartel except for 2 small children. While on the assignment word filters back that their Compound has been under attack and that their Boss Lady and her number one assistant have been wounded and are in critical condition. Noah figures out that his arch enemy from Russia is behind the attack and that he knows Noah's true identity. Noah is forced to reunite with his Childhood friend in order to keep her safe. This story is similar to the Tom Cruise Mission Impossible Movies.
Ok so consider this Part III, the Conclusion to a mini-series within the Noah Wolf series and you'll know two things right away; don't start with this book! Go back to the beginning and read them all, it's only book 4 after all. Go on, put it down and start with Archer's free starter set and ok you can start with the Noah Wolf series. I may not get back to any Pritchard story until I've finished all of these, well maybe if there's a book 4 to the Cassie series
They have recuperated and have an easy assignment, one that is stateside. With all the fancy gadgets and cars to use for it, Then to hear that Neverlamd has been hit, and there systems has been compromised. . Revenge is the game for one person and the drug cartel and the object is to get Noah’s team. We meet Molly who was with Noah when they were young, she helped him become use to who he was. He is to kill if he wants his team back. The author has you thinking it will end a certain way and it changes . Camelot’s team is good you enjoy hearing about them.
Nice and easy reading. And yes, it’s all a bit to clean and to perfect, but why does everything needs to be difficult? :) sometimes it’s nice to see a story just work out without to much strained complications just for the complications and allegedly making the story more exiting.
These books are an enjoyable read like an episode of an action flick/series, and to me that is where the drive to like these series is coming from.
I have the other books one and two four and five, respectively.I really liked those, but this one could have been better. Yes, because the first two were so good, I am going into book four. The Mexican cartel part seemed over complicated, while the second part seemed to forget some of the second one at times. I made notes which I will out on Goodreads.
Main Character Noah Wolf and his team are on a mission to eliminate an entire drug cartel but while on that mission, a past loose end nemesis returns, attacks their organization headquarters and is able to seize the rest of Noah's team in an extortion attemp. Book #3 in the Wolf Series is a fast read, further develops Archer's characters and is entertaining throughout. Enjoyed it and look forward to reading #4 in the series!
Still loving this series. There are so many inventive gadgets that are just fun to read about. The characters are solid and interesting and fill out more each book. I love that David Archer makes you think you are going one way and then quickly goes another. I don't like to discuss the plot lines in my reviews, you can get those in the book's description. Just know you are in for another wild ride.
David Archer did an excellent job with In Sheep's Clothing, the third book in the Noah Wolf series. Noah, aka Camelot, and his support team, Sarah, the team transportation operative, Neil, the genius tech geek, and Moose, Noah's backup muscle, work seamlessly together. Their romp through action, danger, and nitty-gritty intrigue keeps the reader turning pages without wanting to stop. I'm ready for book four!
Great storylines every time. Nice to see the good guys don't always win every battle. They suffer through some scrapes and lose people along the way, as well. That makes it much more realistic and believable. Camelot is a strong team but has its vulnerabilities also. Its fun to see the evolution of the dynamics of the team. I can't wait for their next mission.
Twists, Turns, and Switchbacks This book is the third of a series best read in order. The books are relatively clean with no foul language and only off-screen intimacy. But, they are violent and a bit gory. It is not over the top, but it is there and can't be glossed over. This book's plot is very good. The team has some new James Bond-type gadgets and the perfect job to use them. It is a good story that ends one story arc and opens another. I am off to read book 4.
Seems like loose ends are never good. And that's true in this story as well. Just as the preliminary mission is accomplished something else goes on and throws the whole Camelot team into a new and unexpected mission against an old rival. Twist and turns in the deadly chess game begin and we can't tell for sure, who's leading who.
I am relatively new to David Archer books. Just finished the 3rd in this series (In Sheep’s Clothing). What amazes me is each of the 3 in this series are excellent. I highly recommend this series. For sure, when I finish this series I will read his other series as well. Truly one of the best “thriller” authors around and I’ve read virtually all of them.
I have enjoyed the first 3 books I have read so far and look foward to the rest of the series. I believe that the author must have known someone that has in really been this way. I have and he is accurate in his description of someone like this. Wanted to give a 4.5 rating. I'm hoping the rest of the series can allow me to go to the 5 rating.
On the run from the murderer of her best friends, missionary Gracie Benson is all alone in Siberia. What she doesn't know is that she has in her possession a medical secret that will save millions of lives -- or cost hers. Trying to keep her alive is an FSB agent, a man pursued by his own demons, including a killer who destroyed his father's life.
Another precision seat of the pants mission has been completed. As usual, they best laid plans go to Hell and they have to improvise and to survive. It also helps when Delta force has your back. A dangerous adversary has been eliminated. Another excellent read in this series!! Enjoyed immensely!!
Noah Wolf and his team hit a home run in every way! Their interaction is believable and keeps the story moving. Action is abundant, and wonderfully written. I was hooked when I read the intro of the first Noah Wolf story.
Noah Wolf may well be my new favourite action hero. This story took one or two left turns (for me, for me the plotting in books 1 and 2 was stronger), but overall the author has a thoroughbred of a series.
I do enjoy this series. Noah and his team are called in to take out a drug cartel. While doing this, their headquarters are attacked by a person they had previously encountered before. Now the team must go after him. The book is fast paced and is hard to put down.
I still have to read book 2 as I saw this first but its on my list, Camelot are once again pitted against the bad guy and Noah finds an old friend in danger because she knows him from his past life, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Way too many simple mistakes and oversights for a “master” killer and an elite hit squad. There is no way that the villain would get phone numbers from an encrypted cell phone, the FBI can’t even do that. The characters are simple with little depth.
In Sheep Clothing book number 3 was not a disappointment. This young team is maturing along with a never ending action . Still not sure I like the role of Sarah, a his girlfriend,, but I did enjoy reading the adventure with all the crook and turns.
Really enjoyed this one. I'm not a critic so I don't look for subtle nuances in stories. I just know when I'm done if I liked it or not, and if wishing that the story continue. To me, that is evidence that it was a good story.
Omg. This is a very exciting series. It is hard to put the book down once you start reading. I' m going to start the next book in this series rite away. These books in this series is hard to put down. I highly recommend this series.
Yet another fast and fantastic book in the series. I've come to enjoy these characters and how they have developed and grown together. This book was action packed and fun to read.
