The day Bailey got engaged was the same day Jonathan's childhood ended.
When Jonathan is named executor of his grandmother's estate, it thrusts him into his past. He refuses to let show how much her passing hurts, for fear of losing himself. He returns to the sleepy little town where she lived in the Florida Keys to find it hasn't changed in thirteen years, but Bailey has. His best friend has grown up, has a body that's non-stop distraction, and isn't happy to see him.
Bailey's furious that Jonathan isn't openly mourning. His grandmother deserves more respect than a distracted nod from an asshole grandson too focused on work to care about anything else. But whatever. Not even a couple of nights of intense, scorching-enough-to-ignite-the-sheets passion, or a handful of wonderful shared memories, can steal Bailey's heart.
A hurricane sweeps over the Keys, stranding Jonathan. He and Bailey are forced to face the past that tore them apart, the pain that reunites them, and the truth that could destroy them both.
Thanks for stopping by! I am not currently accepting any friend requests.
Allyson Lindt has been telling stories since before she could put the words on paper. She was lucky enough to marry her muse and soul mate. Their cats are their children, and when they’re not spending way too much time gaming, they’re building new worlds together. She loves a sexy happily-ever-after and helping deserving couples find their futures together.
A perfect second chance at love story. Allyson creates emotional stories that are written with well developed realistic characters that get you invested in their journeys. Her descriptive narrative has you feeling everything they feel as if you are part of the scenes. The chemistry between Bailey & Jonathan is hot & sexy. The sex scenes are amazing & well thought out. This is a great addition to the series but can easily be read as a stand alone.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest opinion.
I'll fully admit that I went into this book as a literary palate cleanser - a round of smut between action books, as the other books I've read from this author have been delightfully seXXXy.
She fooled me by adding in emotions and a stronger plot, which I'm quite grateful for. A good read complete with a cat named Lucifer.
"When he smiled, lines of tension vanished from his forehead. He really was sexy, ridiculous sheet not-withstanding. If they didn’t have the shared past—if he were a random stranger, instead of her childhood friend—she’d consider hooking up for the night. Then again, he’d be gone as soon as the roads opened. What made him any less temporary than the next guy? Lingering traces of his warm touch teased her. The comfort when he held her. The power in his grip."
Bailey lives in Florida and is an estate appraiser and auctioneer. She has a knack for finding what is valuable and what is sentimental. When her best friend from childhood comes back to settle his grandmother's house, old hurts and memories are brought to surface.
Jonathan is a brilliant and owns his own company. I think he helps small businesses get their start. He is hoping to be there a couple of days, but then a storm forces Jonathan and Bailey to be stranded together. While stranded they uncover some disturbing things about Jonathan's Nana.
Sex. Hurt feelings. Surprises. A broken arm. Storms. Lost friendships and new loves. Great story. I laughed at some funny parts. Bailey was just a bit childish. Jonathan was a sexy, smart guy.
Auctioning Affection is the third book in the Your Ad Here series and can be read as a standalone. I am enjoying this series and think you will too. The sex scenes are hot and steamy, so definitely 18+.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. It has all the elements of a good story and you can't help but be drawn to these characters. The author did a great job of expressing their emotions and have you feel like you are there in the story with them. While you can't change the past, you can learn from it and move on into the future.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this story. I've come to adore all of Allyson's stories for their real-life-likeness. I know some people say that they aren't believable but that's not true for me. This story is just so sweet and reminds me of parts of my own relationship. I couldn't be happier reading it.Everyone needs a little romance in their life and they are the luckiest when they get a sweetheart who really shows that a guy can be a bit of it all and Allyson shows this so well.
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
This was a cute story about Jonathan & Bailey who meet again after many years to deal with his grandmother's house (who has just died). It's a bit predictable, but still a nice read.
This is a intriguing and interesting book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is drama, suspense, death of a grandmother, a estate appraiser/auctioneer (Bailey), A well established emotionless man (Jonathan), a cat (Lucifer), memories, hurt feelings, stories/legends of pirates and buried treasure, memorabilia, casting blame for her marriage, a hurricane, forced together, injuries, doctor, discovering grandmother had Alzheimer, committed suicide, feelings of grief/bitterness, Jonathan leaving, text messages, going to Jonathan, arrival, a office building, offering it to Bailey, a ring, eloping, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. I found the story-line to be well thought out and written. The characters have emotional feelings according to the situation they find themselves in. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a well written romance with a HEA.
This is the third standalone novel in this series. This one revolves around former childhood best friends Bailey & Johnathon. This book is very well written and developed with no plot-holes. The character's are realistic with real emotions and flaws. This book is very intriguing & interesting to read. This is a sweet romantic sexy love story. It has all the elements of a great love story. Once you start reading it you cant put it down. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This is my favourite book in this series. I was given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.
They have a complicated past. Forced together again, they begin to confront the pain so they can have a future.
I enjoyed the story. It is well-written romance with a lot of heart. The characters feel real and it is easy to connect to them and understand their pain and concerns. They have great chemistry and you really want them to get their happily ever after.
Allyson Lindt's "Auctioning Affection" is the third tale in the Your Ad Here series, but you can read it as a standalone. It's a sweet love story...feels like a little like Meredith Wild's Hacker series and "The Goonies" wrapped together. The elements are all there for a great tale. Like "The Notebook," but less sad and with hotter sex! A dash of "Sweet Home Alabama" in there too. Love, love, love! I can't wait to read the next installment about Andrew.

Another awesome read from Allyson Lindt, read it in about 9 hours it was that good. I loved Jonathan and Bailey, they are to cute together. If you like Allyson Lindt you gotta read this book. I recieved as a ARC in return for an honest review, not very good at writing reviews but I also don't want to give anything away. Thank you Allyson Lindt for the great books you write.
Bailey and Jonathan are forced to face their painful past when Jonathan's grandma passed away. They were best friends growing up until they didn't express their feelings. Now their connection is stronger than ever as they try to mourn and understand recent events. A story filled with love, passion, hidden secrets, and healing. A great addition to the series!
Good and emotional. this one made me smile and tear up. It made me happy and it made me sad. This had the geek factor also which was so much fun to read and see. This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone and it was amazing and so interesting to read. I am so glad I got to review this one.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is an amazing story that once you start reading there will be no putting it down. Once you get to know the characters you cannot help but fall in love with them and want to see them happy. This book has got to be read, you will not be sorry that you did.
