Like A Slice Of Life and Another Slice of Life, The Rest of the Pie follows tales of ordinary people navigating the seasons of their lives. The Rest of The Pie migrates to the West Coast of Hollywood, California, the Midwest of Detroit, Michigan and years later reverses its course to the white sands and emerald green waters of the beaches of Northwest Florida and beyond.
Thom Gossom, Jr is a writer, actor, and film producer. His memoir, WalkOn: My Reluctant Journey to Integration at Auburn University, is his story as the first African-American athlete to graduate from Auburn. Additional works include a critically acclaimed play, Speak Of Me as I Am, and his blog, As I SEE It. On television, Gossom starred as Israel, the title character in the Emmy(R) winning NYPD Blue episode, "Lost Israel." Other credits include Containment, Fight Club, and Jeepers Creepers 2.
Thom Gossom Jr. was the first black athlete to graduate from Auburn University in 1975. A walk on, Gossom defied the odds, earned a scholarship and became a three-year starter. He is featured in the HBO special, Breaking the Huddle, about the integration of Southern college football. His film and television credits include Reckless, The Fight Club Jeepers Creepers 2, Miss Evers Boys, Boston Legal, NYPD Blue and In the Heat of the Night.
His published memoir, Walk On: My Reluctant Journey to Integration at Auburn University is in its third printing.
