This is book 9 in the Sweet Cove Cozy Mystery series. Although the main mystery is solved in each story, the books should be read in order to enhance your enjoyment as some story threads run from book to book.
The Roseland sisters and Mr. Finch have returned home rested and happy after a mini-vacation at a ski resort. Their feelings of peace and calm are cut short when a new bed and breakfast guest arrives with a request that plunges the family into someone’s game of hide and seek. With the help of their two fine felines, the family must figure out what is truth and what are lies. A cozy mystery with recipes ! This story has some mild paranormal elements.

I went to visit Sweet Cove, Massachusetts again and this time there were no dead bodies.
The Roseland Sisters, Angie, her twin Jenna, Ellie, and Courtney along with Mr. Finch had an identity theft to contend with in this story. The girls did a bang up job finding all the clues and putting the correct people in jail.
The story is well written and grabs you and keeps your attention until the very end.
It should be read like all of the others in the sequence of the series. I will recommend to family and friends!
I really enjoy hire the sisters and their friends go about putting the pieces together to solve these mysteries. I can never or these books down until I have read every last word. The recipes included are always a delightful bonus.
This was a quick and easy read, another in the series, all focus on the mystery that seemed to come out of nowhere. I enjoy these books a little more when there is more character development and the sisters careers and lives have a little more in the story. The mystery was OK but I did not enjoy this book as much as I did some of the others.
4.25 stars Sweet Hide and Seek is another delight, thoroughly enjoyable addition to this magical cozy mystery series. This time the Roseland sisters, their significant others, Mr. Finch, the cats and Chief Martin all work together to solve a different kind of mystery.
The story focuses upon the guests at Elle’s Inn and this time there is a crime that doesn’t include murder. Each of the stories in this series feature truly unique crimes which keeps things interesting. I like that the girls’ partners were slightly more involved in the sleuthing in this story. Additionally we get more of Ellie and her ongoing saga with the powerful, potent necklace. All-in-all, this is a quick, easy entertaining, engaging read and I look forward to the next in the series.
Wow it seems like it’s been forever since I read in the Sweet Cove series, but I sure did miss it. Luckily, the minute I started reading I was back with my old friends. I love how the sisters were all now talented in some type of paranormal ability, and Ellie was finally on board with using hers.
The showdown was a good one with a welcome but “never saw that coming” helper. The two fine felines always do their part by warning and if needed, detaining a perp. A fun winter visit to one of my fave cozy towns.
Mini-spoiler: How refreshing it is to read a cozy mystery without a murder. These books are simple and full of incidental events (such as game night and Mexican dinner night) with a little plot thrown in. They should be read in order. The first time reader will not fully understand some plot elements that build from one book to the next. Those who are reading them in order would find it tedious if the author recapped past happenings in each new book.
I am a fan of this series, but I do have to admit that the books tend to be a bit...flat..NOT this one. With the 9th book in the series the sisters finally seem to grow into their own skin. I loved everything about this book, but especially Ellie. This book is less romance-heavy which is a good thing since Josh and Angie are my least favourite couple and more mystery ladden. It also concentrates in the sisters and all in all really my favourite book so far. I hope it continues like this!
Amazon sybnopsis: The Roseland sisters and Mr.
I love the antics and adventures the Roseland sisters, their beaus, Euclid and Circe, and Mr. Finch get up to. The mysteries and storyline are always interesting and it's hard to put down the book once you get started! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
Love this series! This series is full of charming characters, smart cat, evil doers doing evil deeds, Magick (not the stage magician kinda magic), mysteries to solve, a little romance (no sex), and no cliffhanger endings. So, curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and ENJOY. I am looking forward to the next one.
The girls, Mr Finch, boyfriends and Betty return from their vacation. They barely make it home when they're guests arrive. One woman has two different IDs, one is a loud man and the last wants to hire the girls to find her missing husband. They discover Cora isn't being totally truthful with them. Good story.
This was a captivating story. It was very creative and I am just amazed how each book in this series are so different. I also like that there were. It too many characters to keep track of to pull off this Mystery. I plan to read all the book in this series. Robert Ericksen
Another great addition to this series. As usual, I love the characters, as well as the two felines, Euclid and Circe. This was one of JA Whiting's better mysteries in this series.
Here is my next challenge: I bet you cannot solve this mystery! Every book reveals new characters that we hope to meet again. Enjoy staying up, because you won’t be able to put this book down until you have solved the mystery!
Mr. Finch and the sisters and friends solve another mystery.
Never jump to conclusions about what you see, as Angie said, “ he wasn’t at all what he seemed.” Very cozy mystery with a little bit of romance thrown in.
This series keeps getting better all the time. When the Roseland sisters get called in to help solve another mystery, they dive in whole- heartedly. I have enjoyed the ongoing saga of their romances. Great quick read.
I give this book 10 stars. The book had me going crazy trying to figure out what was the truth and what was lies. The girls had a house full of real strange people and none was who they said they were at the beginning. One guest was a real big mystery, full of half truths, then flat out lies which put everyone in danger. Another guest kinda figured out part of the lies and told Angie, she took it with a grain of salt and regretted it at the end she didn't take it seriously. You can't hide things forever, someone will always find out and then it depends on how bad you want to keep that secret. The girls found out, but it all turned out the way it should. I lost major sleep reading this book, you will too.
This book was a mess of twists and turns. Sometimes I'm amazed that the sisters, Mr Finch and the cats figure things out but as usual they did wonderfully.
The girls have the house full with people who do not seem to want to leave. One of the guests wants the girls help locating her husband who disappeared four years ago.
Another fun story with plenty of teasers and turns wondering if the villain will ever be discovered. You'll enjoy the characters, food, and action throughout.
