I once spent a year traveling the world solo from Nepal to Romania to Fiji, where I learned 99.9% of humanity is pretty freaking awesome yet somehow doesn't share my love of ice cubes in a drink. I met my husband on the highway, literally. In fact our meet-cute was SO cute we had a whole story written about it in Ladies Home Journal. My twin boys placed second in the Most Identical contest at the International Festival of Twins. Their little sister placed first in the most adorable contest at the All The People In Our Living Room Festival. I once accompanied a pajama-clad Oprah Winfrey (and her puppies) through the laundry room of the Four Seasons. I have also been in a hotel room alone with a shirtless Mark Wahlberg. In both those instances, it was not what you think. Oh, and I went into early labor while on Stevie Nicks' tour bus. That is pretty much what you think.

Here's the more official bio:
Jen Malone writes fun and flirty YA travel romances with HarperCollins and humorous "girl power" MG adventures with Simon & Schuster. She once spent a year traveling the world solo, met her husband on the highway (literally), and went into labor with her identical twins while on a rock star's tour bus. These days she saves the drama for her books. You can learn more about Jen and her books at www.jenmalonewrites.com. Find her on Twitter and Instagram @jenmalonewrites.

“I didn’t realize how much the end result affects my overall creative process.”

That was adorable. But to not cause any further confusion, I suggest you see the actual Trolls film. So as to not get bothered by the overdetailed characters that I believe were Poppy’s squad.

What a ridiculous book. It’s so bad there is no way I will pass this on to any child.I am altering and repurposing the paper at least so there isn’t a total loss.

Took a break from reading about the genocide in Rwanda to smile along with the Trolls. I picked it up to see if I thought Mara was ready to read this length of book, and I finished it in a one sitting. Great imagery jumps off the pages---all about defining what art is to each of the trolls as Harper designs her art gallery opening. Dreamworks should adapt this to film---it would be gorgeous! There is much to delight a child, but also a lot about an artist's process which I appreciated. Having been a fan of Trolls from the 60s and then 80s and now Dreamwork's versions, I love that this book allowed us to really get to know the personalities and talents of several of the Trolls. (Harper, Biggie, Smidge, Cooper, DJ Suki, Creek, Guy Diamond, and Poppy)

Poppy and Harper are in a quandary, trying to decide which of the most extraordinarily wonderful projects in Troll Village should be the showcase at the opening of the new Art Gallery. With a lot of hemming and hawing, following-your-heart, and intense debates, in the end, Poppy knows that Harper alone must come up with the final decision and it's ... perfect!

Who knew you could store & hide so much stuff in your hair? Yikes...sigh.
