This book was even better than the first! The storyline is fantastic and you are immediately sucked back into the world of Altura... a world of adventure, risk, friendship, lust and so much more.
"So strap on your seatbelt, sweetheart. We're going to Altura."
This book can be read as a standalone, but I usually prefer to start from the beginning of a series so you know who is who and can appreciate the depth to characters.
I'm not going to go into the storyline here because it's brilliant and I don't want to ruin anything, but I will talk about the people...
As always, there are some incredibly strong and lovable main characters.
Lars is unforgettable! He's bossy, dominant, confidant, a great cook, a great friend, he's honest, playful, and the sex? Gah, I want this guy in my bed. Is that possible? Kym, can you hook me up? Haha
I adored him!
"I'm not looking to tame you, sweetheart. Enjoy you. Love you. But never tame you. You're the best adventure I've ever had."
But Brae? Well, she totally stole the show for me. She is fabulous. She's a good person. She's strong, full of fortitude. She started off seeming quite meek and quiet when being pushed into things that she didn't want to do. But we soon got to see the real her and she has this underlying streak of strength. She's doing everything she can to make things right in her life, even though she's been wrongly accused.
She keeps relatively quiet about her opinions in general, but the moments when she was threatened, my god did she come out swinging.
Also, it was kinda hot to hear dirty talk from a woman. You don't see that very often. And why not? We like to talk dirty during sex too, right? *wink*
Love her.
Then there's Seth, Lars best friend. He's so great.
I want him. Can I keep him? Haha. He's so gentle and sweet. He's the voice of reason. A true friend, who is always there when you need him. But also calls you out on your bullshit.
I loved every single page of this book. It's action-packed, fun, 'oh god, so hot' (seriously, there's a manage scene that will keep you going for WEEKS lol), deep, dark and clever.
Kym delivers such a gripping epilogue, that you cannot freaking wait to dive into the next book.

truest words ever to describe a book in whole as it's presented in blurb.
I truly have nothing more to say, cause in these three words you get the essence of this story.
What was lacking for me, was in fact, a palpable, better connection between the characters as they embark on a road of pushing limits, where trust is the fuckin essence, there's none in here, well at least, there was none for me, I didn't feel it, therefore the very contact based on lies and deceit can NOT stand as the true foundation to build a trust on, where else to let yourself go and experience the sexual kind of connection that seeks deeper commitment to make it believable.
pitty really, since it could have had a much better reception as a final result.

Wicked Rush is the third book in the Club Altura Series. To say this book is hot is an understatement. Kym really has outdone herself with this book. Each book in this series has been fantastic reads. I must say this is my favorite by far. The adventure, action, mystery and suspense of Wick Rush had me on the edge of my seat. The pure emotions I felt as I was reading this book the fear of what was going to happen next can they, will they survive.
The main characters are Lars Elliot and Dr. Braelynn Rollins there first meeting well let's just say explosive. Lars is a dominant male he knows what he wants I can't isn't an option and he will push Braelynn limits in all things.
I know Kym is most know for her PNR Series The Immortals of New Orleans but this series is Contemporary Erotic Romance. Kym has excelled in this new genre of writing it is a must read. She is not just a PNR author. This is a 5 star read I highly recommend this book and this series. I'm ready for the next installment of the series.

How *the feck* does this garbage have such a high rating????
Sometimes people are out here gaslighting me into thinking I'm missing something. I'm not missing anything (this time, at least).
The plot in bonkers in a bad way. Every single character takes themselves so seriously that I questioned whether this was satire.
And the best way to summarize the dialogue is minging.
Minging. adjective. British informal.
ugly, disgusting, or malodorous. extremely poor in quality.
I'm ready to start mandating that any author whose target reading audience is at least 10 years their junior work with beta readers to pick apart the terms and phrases which unintentionally age their characters, making it seem like it was written by someone out-of-touch.

Wicked Rush, Book 2, Club Altura Series. What a great follow up, prepare yourself to be set on fire by Lars Elliott OMG!
Set in southern California, Lars is a live on the edge man, very dominating in all things work and personnel. He finds himself at the end of Carnal Risk, caught in a hail of gunfire rescuing a woman he doesn't know but seems to know him.
Dr. Braelynn Rollins is a marine biologist, her life takes a deadly turn and she ends up mixed up in a world of danger and no way to escape from it. When Lars and Braelynn's path cross it's a steamy ride. Lars wants to know the truth what is Brae hiding and he's determined to find out at any cost. When he discovers that friends whom he trust may be in on what Brae is hiding, and putting her life in danger he will do anything to keep her safe.
Lars isn't supposed to fall hard for a woman, it's not in his plans, there is something about Brae, he wants to draw her in to see what she is hiding and bring her into his world of fast living and pleasure. Brae has been attracted to Lars for some time and has desires that she's never been able to play out. Lars introduces Brae to his friend Seth and Club Altura ,which opens up a world she never knew existed. With danger surrounding them at every turn and passion that is off the charts, Wicked Rush is the perfect title for this book. The rush and fast paced of the secrets unfolding that Brae has been keeping with a lot of wickedness you don't want to miss out on this book .

I so wanted to rate this 5 stars but I honestly didn't like Braelynn. I found her lack of being able to form a coherent sentence irritating and although the storyline and other characters were great, I couldn't enjoy it as much because of her lack of communication. I would have loved to here her thoughts, she portrays a strong woman at the beginning, but if she was so strong, then why was she unable to create a sentence? I'm sorry but it's something that irked me throughout.
Besides that, I loved the storyline. It was pretty spectacular and I love Lars....to some extent. I enjoyed how the story flowed though found the sex scene before everything kicked off a little wobbly. I couldn't work out if she was on her knees or in his arms and it gave me a headache trying to guess haha.
I loved the catalyst of the story, the explosive ending and the epilogue... I wanted to cry in relief but was so confused about what happened that I finished the book frowning, a million scenarios running through my head. I like that though, and ending that has you guessing.

OH MY!!!!! What a wickedly fantastic book!!!!! I don't know how she does it but Kym Grosso's books just keep getting better!!!
I have been a fan of this author for several years now and each book is better than the last!!! Whether it’s her paranormal series or the Club Altura series she pushes every good button there is!!!
Lars Elliott is strong and even though he seems to think he’s a hard-a**, he’s really not as tough as he might want to be, at least with Brae. When he sees Dr. Braelynn Rollins get shot he is the first one there to rescue her and he stays with her in the hospital until she wakes up. And later he just can’t get her out of his mind so he tracks her down. Even though he’s well known for being an intrepid adventurer, he’s definitely in for one heck of a ride with the sexy marine biologist.

Oh my freaking lord! Kym Grosso as done it again. On the edge of my seat with Lars and Brae. I was so enraptured with the dynamic of both of them and I didn't want the story to end!
We meet up with Dr. Braelynn Rollins and Lars Elliott where we left off with Carnal Risk. Kym brings you back on the beach with raining bullets. Lars goes into true alpha mode to protect. Something about Brae intrigues him. Addictive. Seductive. And just after a 'weekend' he wants more. But it's not just him, she has been secretly in lust with him. But Lars likes to live on the edge. Have a Rush. She never thought that they would end up together. By keeping secrets from each other, how much can they trust one another?
I truly loved Wicked Rush. Drama, romance, espionage Wicked Rush has it all. I wished I could give more stars!!!

OMG.....How does Kym Grosso do it? Reading Wicked Rush was just that...a wicked rush!! This book is super fantastic and HOT!!!
Lars is so HOT and Brae is so incredible. Their story is like no other. Lars is captivated by Brae from the beginning and wants to know what she is hiding. The more she pushes him away the more he's determined to find out all he can about her.
So what is the connection between attempted murder, a botched break in and everyone warning him away from Brae? These are just a few things going on in this incredibly hot, mysterious full of action book.
The hotness level of this book is off the charts. The sex is so well written and panty melting hot you'll need a fan.

Was given this book with the promise of a honest review
Waited a long time for this story, and it was worth the wait, Kym Grosso outdid her self with this one. I hope I can do justice to the review, for words in my mind somehow never manage to come through as I want them to.
Lars Elliott and Brea (Dr. Braelynn Rollins), are the best characters I have read, the story begins when Brea is shot at and wounded on a beach and is rescued by Lars and his friend Seth. Staying with her while she is in the hospital for days and surprised when she refuses to see him.
Lars turns away but she is on his mind and he wants to know, his best friend Garrett warns him to drop it and forget her, ha Lars is not about to do that, he feels that the mystery needs to be solved and somehow he just can't get her out of his mind.
Pursuing her is the only thing he can do and little by little her starts earning her trust. Brea is resolved in protecting Lars, and at the same time she is fighting the bad guys she is falling in love with the charismatic CEO and playboy a man who lives on the edge for the thrill.
Their story takes them from San Diego to Big Sur as they heat things up. Will they win will they beat the bad guys who are after Brea. Will Lars uncover her secrets in time to save her.
This book took me on a wonderful trip, at times I laughed and at times I cried, now I can't wait for the next book. Thank you Kym for this wonderful adventure, the book is truly a good book. Forget good, I think its a super fantastic book.

Wicked Rush (Club Altura #2) by Kym Grosso

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
This is the second book in this series that I have read and it didn't disappoint. While reading book 1 isn't essential, it does help with knowing the characters.
While I liked this story a lot, I think the reasons why I liked it had more to do with the relationship between Lars, Seth and Braelynn and not because of the mystery surrounding the coming together.
Braelynn is just trying to figure out how she got herself in to this mess that is her life. She is struggling with doing the right thing, all while keeping her sanity. She meets back up with Lars after an incident that could have left them both dead. What I liked most about her was that despite being in a situation that she didn't really deserve, she made the best of it. She didn't really deny herself the opportunity to live. While I liked that she was OK living on the edge a little, I think that she was the most brave when it came to her personal risks - she knew that she might get her heart broken at any time, but was brave enough to love rather than miss that chance at a fleeting happiness.
Then you have Lars. He was the typical alpha male, but where I think he lacked was with his ability to compartmentalize the issues. Once everything came to light and he "needed time", I was angry with him. Despite all that his friends had been through, it was his good friend, Garrett who had placed them in the situation they were in. And, Garrett, again, was let off SO EASILY! It made me so angry! I like how Lars and Braelynn's chemistry sizzled despite the constant danger, but also felt that Lars was somewhat blase when it came to his growing feelings - which in turn, developed in to him hurting Braelynn.
Finally, you have Seth. While he was not as integral in this story, I loved how he was open, honest and completely loyal to Lars and, as an extension of Lars, Braelynn. He was willing and able to help whenever and despite having some less than stellar "actual going in to the office" days in a row, he was a solid character.
This was a story about a discovery, but in reality, the science was only mentioned briefly. I wish that they had expanded a little on that aspect of the story, but with all of the different characters coming and going throughout, I know that it might have been a little hard. Overall, this was a great story with a lot of moving pieces. I can't wait to see where the series goes.

Super Sexy and intriguing!
Lars saves a girl on the beach, the whole incident doesn't make much sense but he is sure that he will get answers from the beautiful girl who was the target...well until she denies knowing him and he is sent away.
Braelynn has enough on her plate to add in the sexy CEO, Lars to the mix. Her life has been threatened, her job is in danger and she needs to clear her name. She is in the middle of a deadly game and Lars is not the distraction she needs. Unfortunately for her Lars doesn't take kindly to the word no. He will find out what she is hiding and it is not beneath him to use all of the tricks in the book to get her talk.
I am ashamed to say I did not read the beginning of this series. While this could be read without reading the previous books and you are able to fill in all the blanks, I think I would have enjoyed it more by reading the first in the series. If for no other reason than see Garrett in action and learn more about these men, of Club Altura. Even though I did not meet these characters prior to this book I felt that I got the full experience. Lars is a playboy, but is drawn to Brae and determined to find out what is going on. He is all Alpha and gets what he wants. Brae is trying to do right by her life. She is trying to fix wrongs and goes into situations full throttle. While scared about what will come, she is also determined and strong willed. They were the perfect match of head butting and not giving in.
Like all of Kym Grosso's books this one is no different. It is HOT, ridiculously so. But there is also a story in there. And it was the story that kept my rapt attention from beginning to end. I wanted the truth to come out and find out who was behind the troubles that started in the previous book. I wanted the bad guy to get theirs in the end and needed to see how it was all going to play out. This book left very little down time; I was either on the edge of my seat or fanning my face. Then there was the epilogue that will have me stalking a certain author to see what other craziness is in store.

When she is taken to the hospital, Lars stays with her, he is drawn to her because he thinks she knows him and he wants to know how. Because he should remember her if they have met before. When she finally wakes up, she doesn't know him and hospital security will not let him near her.
Dr. Braelynn Rollins is in way over her head. She is a marine biologist who has been thrown into the deep end and is undercover to steal back secrets that were stolen but not by her. A rival company is where she has gone to work but the owner is not who he seems and she just wants to get the research, be done and leave the country.
While Lars and Braelynn are getting closer, trust is hard for her. But can Lars make her see that he is going to protect her no matter what? Will she tell him all her secrets? When Lars offers a weekend with Braelynn, can they both move on when the time is up? Will Lars share his sexual secrets with her without scaring her off?
I loved the first book, Carnal Risk but I think I love this one more. It has a more suspenseful aspect to the story that makes it a little more exciting and that ending is, wow. I can't wait to see what the next book has in store.

All I have to say this book was worth the wait!!! I absolutely loved it! No doubt Kym Grosso has outdone herself yet again. This story lives up to its title Wicked Rush.
The story begins when Dr. Braelynn Rollins gets shot in the shoulder on the beach. The unknown shooter, while shooting at the doctor, almost hits Lars and his surfing buddy Seth. Once Lars gets Braelynn to the hospital and into surgery he thinks it's going to be all alright, but then she refuses to see him stating that she doesn't know him.
Lars just couldn't let it go, he knew the doctor knew him but couldn't place her. Garrett, Lars's best friend, warns him away from Braelynn. Even Dean, police detective investigating the case, says it's a dead end and just to give up. But Lars always up for a challenge and the mystery of Dr. Rollins just has to be solved.
Brae just wants to protect Lars from the bad guys. She doesn't want to involve him in her in a mess of her own making. Brae won't open up to Lars and trust him with her biggest secrets. She submits to his dominant desires in bed, but just won't trust him fully with the truth. Will Lars be able to get the truth from Brae before her past catches up with her?

This is the second book in the series, and as hot and clever as Carnal Risk was, I may have enjoyed this more ... possible due to the heat level being raised even higher. I would definitely recommend that you read CR first, as there are links which add to the story.
Ms Grosso has managed to tell a really good story as well an extremely steamy, erotic and delicious romance. Whilst most thrillers will not deal in depth with emotions, preferring to lead with the plot, here we get the full rounded picture. Lars is a man who will not give up, and given his daredevil ways, that is hardly a surprise to us, however much Brae wants to keep him safe. Told from both their points of view, we get right to the heart of the matter, and get to see just how events affect their actions.
Not one to spoil the plot, you need to read it yourself, but do choose somewhere you can fully immerse yourself, and possibly have access to a fan, or iced water ....
(Greedy though I know I sound, I do hope Ms Grosso is busy penning book 3!)

WOW…..Smoking HOT!!!!!
What a book. Kym Grosso you never cease to amaze me. This book right here just might be one of my favorite books written by Kym. The talent this author has is amazing and everything she writes is perfection. Once I started reading I knew I wouldn’t stop till I was done. Lars and Brae’s chemistry is spot on. I love when I can actually feel the emotions and passion building between two charters as if I’m feeling it firsthand. Lars is pure alpha male, straight up drop your panties on the spot sexy do me right here and now. Brae what can I say I loved her. Brae’s a strong alpha female a perfect match for Lars never backing down form any situation she’s in. Holy smoke you could feel the flames igniting between these two and when they finally couldn’t fight it anymore it was an explosion of passion and hot sweaty sex. What an awesome read. What a story. The flow was spot on perfect pace kept you wanting more. One of these reads you wanted to get to the ending but didn’t want it to end. Loved it and can’t wait to see read the next book in this series.

Well, when beginning this book you must have the following items near you, an XXL iced cold drink, or a bottle of wine chilled, (even both if that is your fancy) a large powerful fan, and a man or two in close proximity. If this book does not get your juices going, you may need to check your pulse.
I will not give too many story details for fear of spoiling it for you, but there is Lars who is completely gorgeous inside and out, there is Braelynn who is beautiful and strong even though she does not seem that way at first, and then Seth, who is funny, and sexy and melts my heart. Put them together and you get an action packed, crazy, twisting story, that has some of the hottest love scenes I have ever read. OH, and let's not forget that they are into over the top, life-threatening experiences and pushing limits as far as they can in every way possible and in every aspect of their lives.

Wicked Rush by Kim Grosso is the second book (possibly 3rd depending on how you look at it) in her Club Altura series and is the story of Lars and Braelynn. Although Kim is known for her PNR romance, I would place this book firmly in the erotic romantic suspense category. Not only is it super smokin' hot sexy (see author blurb and warning), the story grabs you from the get go with a mystery right from the start!
"This story is a short one, Lars. Girl got shot on the beach," Garrett said.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? Kym is amazing. The book has certainly lived up to it's title. Wicked Rush. Exactly what you get when you read it!!!! This is the second book in the series and I could not wait to read it. The first book, Carnal Risk, introduced us to Club Altura and the men who go to extremes in both work and play. In this book, Lars finds himself caught in the middle of lies and secrecy after he saves a beautiful woman on the beach after being shot. There are too many unanswered questions about that night and Lars is determined to find out the truth. There is so much action, intrigue and lots of hot, steamy sex scenes to keep you captivated. Now that I am finished it, I NEED MORE!!!!

Wicked Rush........how to write this review????? Kym has totally outdone herself with this book. I have been impatiently waiting for Lars and this book was well worth the wait! Lars and Brae are so well written. Their love was a slow burn and this story had me laughing, crying and thinking Oh My Gosh........i think this is the best of Kym's contemporary stories! I have loved them all but this one....I would give it 6 stars if I could! Thank you, Kym!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lars is a blunt man, “I’m so god***ned hard, I could bend you over the car and eff you right now.” I really liked this book, Lars was a demanding alpha, but he knew how to drive his woman insane with bringing her to the edge and back.

Ok so i am really madly and truly in love with the whole Immortals series from Kym Grosso so after finishing it and Hearing her speak on some vid'S on Facebook About her other series i thought sure different but i'll give it a try considering i read many different typs of books and authors i didnt mind that ist compleatly different from the immortals series but i was somewhat dissepointed. Don't get me wrong the Story is intresting the caracters are well thought out but in my opinion the storyline has some flows granted you'd likely not notice untill you read all the books that are out so far but in my opinion some Things just dont add up. I'll just give one exsample to not spoil it for those who are still reading or want to read the books……. in the prequil Even is taken and beaten then stuck with something while being told he will have a skdiving accident the next day. Now this book starts with that accident and his friend never believing it was an accident but claiming his friend gave no signs that anything was off so for one i would Thing as he was being slapped around he would Show bruising or other inguries the next day and why the hell would he jump if he knw he was ment to die sure they could have something on him but again there should have been signs of his capture in my book that just doesnt sit Right and if they used someone else id assume his Friends would have noticed it wasnt him all very Stange well i sure hope that t some Point These strange issues get sorted there are more but as i said no Need to ruen the books for others. Now if i leave away the Things that to my mind just dont meke sense the books are good not something i'D want to reread but good enough that i'll defnatly pick up the next one to come out. i do have to say i liked the main books Carnal Risk and wicked rush better then the two Shorts they just seemed much better thought out. I do think the clube sceans are to few and mostly to tame for my taste but wicked rush did have a nice menage sceen.
So all in all i have the books 3 stars mainly because somethings dont fit and i miss the hot sensual sceens i'm so used to of Kym's books.

Wicked Rush is the second book in the ( Club Alture Series) by Kym Grosso ,and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this fabulous follow up to this series. But be prepared to be set on fire by the hot and sexy Lars Elliot. This story is set in California ,and Lars is a man that lives his life on the edge,and he's very dominating in his work and his personnel time. He has found himself at the very end of Carnal Risk ,in a hail of bullets rescuing a woman that he doesn't know but she seems to know him. But than we have Dr Braelynn Rollins who happens to be marine biologist ,but her life takes a deadly turn and she finds herself mixed up in a world of danger ,and it seems there's no way for escaping it. But when Lars and Braelynn path crosses it starts to become a steamy roller coaster ride of desirer. Right away Lars wants to know the truth of what Brae is hiding and he's very determined to find out at just about any cost. But when he learns that friends that he has trusted may possible be , involved in what she's hiding from him. And this is putting her life in danger,and he will do everything to protect her. Lars wasn't supposed to fall hard for a woman,it wasn't ever in his plans ,but there's something about sweet Brae that changed that . All he wants is to draw her close to see what she's really hiding ,and to bring her into his fast world of living and of pleasure. But the beautiful Brae has been attracted to Lars for awhile ,and has desires that she has never been able to play out . But when Lars introduces her to his best friend Seth and Club Alture ,that opens the door to a whole new world ,that she never knew even existed . But with danger all around them and at every turn ,can their be happy and safe. Kym Grosso has really done it again,and she will have you on the edge of your seat with these amazing characters.,and you won't be able to wait until the next book. I could tell you more ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this amazing story ,you won't be disappointed.

Braelynn is a marine biologist and is forced to do undercover work. She is accused of stealing research from a company she works for. She must go undercover at the competitor's and steal her research back. She gets shot and is found by Lars.
Lars is a tech genius and owns his own company. He is an adrenaline junkie, jump out of planes, surf, and climb mountains. While surfing with a buddy they are almost shot. Lars goes to the hospital with Braelynn and stays until she wakes up. She claims not knowing Lars but Lars can't leave it be. He follows her to a banquet and then she tries breaking into his house to retrieve a key she lost that Lars found.
Lars wants answers and he'll do anything to get them. They agree to only the weekend. But when Lars realizes Braelynn is into some of the things he is, that just seals the deal. Can they figure out a way to get Braelynn out of the situation she finds herself in and recovery the research?
Awesome story. MFM situations. Explicit sex. Action. Corporate espionage. The only thing that bothered me was the use of " Jesus Christ or Christ " so many times. This story will have you turning the pages until the end. Couldn't put it down.

I love the banter!
I’ve read most of Kym Grosso’s books and something she does better than most is give good banter. The characters are witty and smart and it’s not hard to love how they riff off each other.
The characters in this book are lovable for their own personalities but they are typical, one is more dominant, one is more easy going but not a push over, the female is smart and ready for adventure which honestly I don’t mind.
The sex is hot! You don’t read a Grosso book without the heat but the threesome scene had me all hot and bothered and I’m not a novice to steamy romance novels.
I like how she ends each book with a tease of the next one in the series, the problem is not knowing when the next one is coming.

I loved this book so much! I've been waiting for the right time to read it and I finally got there. This is currently the last book in the Club Altura series but I really hope there will be another one. In this book we meet Braelynn and Lars and the secrets and intrigue surrounding their clandestine meeting. Dr. Braelynn Rollins has been forced into being a corporate spy and because of that she has been shot at and threatened and at this point she figures she doesn't have much to lose. Lars can't understand his connection to the enigmatic Brae but he does know that he can't leave her alone. This book was so good!! It had a lot of twists and turns and it was heart wrenching in all the right spots. I really want a third book now!!

Lars and Seth were on the water enjoying the day when shots rang out. Lars sees a woman terrified calling his name. He gets her to a hospital but when she comes to she bars him from seeing her. Her name is Braelynn. None of this makes sense in Lars mind and he wants answers. When he finally gets to see her he demands answers but she can’t. The attraction between them for some reason is immediate and hot! Will Lars get a chance to find answers? Will Braelynn trust him enough? Lots of challenges and intrigue going on here.
