Things aren’t looking great for Cass Clereaux. For one, her greatest fear has come true. She’s stuck in the Prison for Magical Miscreants while her nemesis, Victor Orriodor, is out in the world, putting the last pieces of his plan into place. He’s wreaking havoc, all while she’s stuck in a stone box, awaiting likely execution.

Fortunately, Cass has just discovered that she’s the most powerful Magica in the world. She may have no control over her massive new power, but that won’t stop her from using it to break out of the world’s strongest supernatural prison. As for how she’s going to stop Victor when she gets out? She has no idea.

To have any hope at success, Cass will have to learn to control her magic and figure out exactly what he’s trying to accomplish. She’s going to need all the help she can get if she wants to survive, much less save the world. Luckily for her, she’s got Aidan Merrick and her sisters at her back, along with her allies in the League of FireSouls.

Before becoming a writer, Linsey was an archaeologist who studied shipwrecks in all kinds of water, from the tropics to muddy rivers (and she has a distinct preference for one over the other). After a decade of tromping around in search of old bits of stuff, she settled down to start penning her own adventure novels and is freaking delighted that people seem to like them. Since life is better with a little (or a lot of) magic, she writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance.

Can't believe that I have finished this series within a week! The story just flow by. There is always something happening, never a dull moment. It ended really well too, though I wish there could have been more. Definitely a series to read if magica and shifter are your thing. And remember, there are lots of action XD

This is the book I have been waiting for, it does not end the series but gets us onto a new plotline once we resolve how to deal with the ultimate evil monster who has been the boogie man since book 1.

The bit of romance heats up a small bit but still pretty much remains at PG level which was a nice change of pace from all those books filled with pages of filler sex just to make the books longer and usually did nothing to move the plot.

It won’t be a spoiler to tell you things are NOT going to go the way you thought they would go, a few surprises in the story as we move along towards an epic finish.

Bottom Line: Loved the book, loved the series although sometimes the endings seemed to leave me hanging, but this one pretty much puts all those questions to rest and gives us a few new ones which sound like the next book will be a great story I hope. Highly recommended!

I've thoroughly enjoyed this series which surprised me as its YA and therefore any romance is fade to grey but the storytelling has held me enraptured. There's been Victor, the big bad presence lurking throughout and even though the three FireSouls now know who he is capturing him has proved neigh on impossible. Speaking of capturing as this book begins Cass is in prison and at the mercy of Victors right hand man Dermot but if you've followed this series then you will probably have guessed that Cass with her newly unlocked (suped up!) powers is never to be underrated !
Hmm this is hard as although there is a resolution here I kind of felt disappointed by our dastardly villain Victor and that's simply because for much of this book it's Demot aka the bulldog who causes Cass and her merry band the most problems. It's still the action packed story I've come to expect from this author though and I was overjoyed by the authors choice of locations here, I can't say too much but think evil and remote castle fortresses and you just might guess! Yet as usual there's mythology as well and if you enjoy folklore than the creatures that appear here will have you jumping for joy!
I mentioned a resolution but it's not really the end as although we see Cass stepping up and grabbing her happy ending she still has two 'sisters' to tell their tales, or does she?
Great storytelling, beautiful covers and so very imaginative. Now all that's left is to wait to see what the author comes up with next!
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

This book was a great way to stop one series, and begin another. Victor, who enslaved Del, Nix, and Cass for years is back to nothing but evil. The problem is he has his minions who are in charge, so if they come forward, they are jailed, even Aiden. This one has lots of action, and is a bit heart wrenching, but you have to take it in faith, that things will be alright. There are attempts to free fire souls, even more .children. Cass is trying to control her powers, because the fate of the world is on her shoulders. It was romantic, not explicit. Cass just never lets up, and neither do her human, and fire soul friends. I'm glad I started this series, and got in tune with her paranormal world. I love her dragons, and that they worked great power, for the good of their home. I loved the ending, between her. and Aiden..The rest is wait for the next sister stories to surface. I hope we are still involved with all the characters ,in the book, that bring it together. Start with book one..This is a series that adds something else from the previous book. You will loose a lot of back story, and character meaning, if you start here.

Hmmmm... I can't say there was anything wrong with this one. In essence it had everything going for it. Strong interesting heroine. Action packed story full of intriguing characters and suspense. And the hunky hero. I guess that is the problem with it. I kept searching for that WOW factor that makes it catch one by the imagination and not want to let go. And unfortunately it never did for me. I realize there a heck ton of books attached to this series and I was tittering on the edge of will they or won't they for a while there, and not in a good way.

Because they have so many books I was worried they were gonna keep the main villain the same for all the three sisters so they can defeat him together after 15 books and each of their individual stories - which would have been way too much. So I was relieved when the main badie in this book was defeated and then the next series gets their own set of villains.

But other than than I never felt like there was any particular life to these characters. They were a trio of girls that bonded and never had any issues whatsoever in their own sisterhood except one of them sometimes possibly dying but I guess that's the world they live in... And the whole idea that the main character h ONLY liked eating pasties and drinking PBR beer and nothing else in this whole wide world. Like nothing else existed in the world for her and that said more about her intricacies as a character more than anything. I did not feel any real blood was pumping though these characters, almost like they were just puppets on a string a story book acting out their part and that's it. I guess that's just me, but I don't think this world will be for me for future. Shame really what with the prolific universe it is.

The Dragon's Gift series belongs to the genre of urban fantasy. The series revolves around three girls, that see themselves as sisters, and are hunted by the supernatural community because of the nature of their powers. As FireSouls they can steal other supernaturals' powers, but only when killing them. The Huntress series deals with the first of the sisters, with other series following from the other sisters' perspective (The Seeker and The Protector).

If you are into complex fantasy series that necessitate plastering your walls with Post-its that are then linked through yarns of different colors helping you to understand the various plots and characters than this series is definitely not for you. Each book has a self-contained storyline and only about 250 pages. The books in each series are connected by an overall plot, in the case of The Huntress the battle against Victor Orriodor. Given the shortness of the books the plot is very straightforward and the character development basically non-existent. Cass is not developing, but leveling up. And even after reading 5 of these books, I am have real difficulties telling the sisters apart, since the only distinguishing feature are their looks and powers. They act and speak exactly the same.

However, I still very enjoyed the series for its humor, its tomb raiding (those bits are actually my favorite part), its use of obscure supernatural creatures and its no-drama relationships. It's the kind of book I like to read before going to sleep, because I can follow the storyline even if I am having a hard time concentrating.

The fifth book brings the battle against Victor Orriodor to its conclusion and as such was very suspenseful and a fun read. To be perfectly honest I liked it better than the fourth one, were very little happened aside from Cass traveling back and fourth between Oregon, Ireland and Scotland following obscure prophecies in search of her powers. So why the low rating?

As mentioned before this a pretty shallow read, which as mentioned above is not necessarily a bad things. It was gripping enough that I read the books back to back. Because of that there were some small issues that I had with the first books that turned into full-blown annoyance by the last. (Note: I'm not going to comment on language as I'm not a native speaker.)

1. Continuity: the most prominent one was at the beginning of the fourth book, when the Dragonets came to the rescue and Cass told her sisters what the were. But Del and Nix already met them in their fight against Victor at the end of the third book.

2. Repetitiveness: all fights were basically the same. Cass would throw Lefty and then nick her finger with Righty to call the knife back. Later she would throw lightning. Aidan on the other hand always turned into a griffin, sometimes he threw fire. This was not only annoying because of the repetitiveness , but also because this was always their tactic no matter what. We are fighting in a confined space. Turn into a hulking monster with wings on its back that are useless even a hindrance in this situation. Lightning didn't work the first time. Let's just throw bigger lightning, I am sure it will work this time.

3. Shallow characters: As mentioned above it was basically to tell the sisters apart as they all had the same personality. Under normal circumstances there should be differences, e.g. one is always calm, one is a hothead who fights first and ask questions later, while the third is always optimistic. Anything to tell them apart. In dialogue I often had to backtrack and count the lines to see which one spoke. But this became even worse for the male love interest, leading to...

4. Even shallower male cast: If there is a romance in a book, I want to sit on my couch sighing thinking why I never meet guys like that. And Aidan is an incredibly supportive and nice guy. But he is basically reduced to good looks (gets mentioned often enough, anyone remember what is eye color is though), being very powerful (the Origin can take on any shape and cast all elemental magics) and being filthy rich. But apparently he is not very bright. As mentioned above he always uses is griffin form. Every time his power is needed in a different matter Cass mirrors it. Take the fight against the Nuckelavee. Given their reaction to the revelation that a Nuckelavee was up ahead, both Aidan and Cass know what he is. Even had that not been the case, they were told its weakness literally 10 minutes before meeting him: sweet water. Does Aidan use his elemental powers to douse him? No. Here goes the griffin and the lightning until Cass finally comes up with the idea of using water bending to vanquish this creature.

The way Aidan is described in this book does not paint him as an equal. If the two of them were doing a red carped event, the wouldn't be standing side by side, but instead he would standing behind Cass either holding her train or her clutch. Imagine your were dating James Bond. You and your hubby are storming the hidden fortress of some obscure "Pinky and the Brain" villain, Bond of course wearing a tux and you an evening dress. About a hundred minions storm your way and the two of you get ready to rumble. Quickly you shove your clutch at him and take the Walter PPK from his holster and start shooting at them. Of course James probably finishes half of the villains by banging them on the head with your clutch, he is that badass being Bond and all. The point is, why doesn't he use the gun himself? Given that, Aidan remains a completely bland character and thus doesn't elicit much sighing.

5. Inconsequential use of power: At the end of the fourth book Cass was taken prisoner and getting ready to break out. The fifth book shows her still in her cell, as her abilities weren't particularly helpful in fleeing a cell. When the jailers appear, she uses their powers against them, among those powers is invisibility. There are a few scenes were she gets in dire straits because the visibility runs out. But in the third book she sneaked into the museum by making herself invisible through the use of her stolen illusion power, so why didn't she use that?

6. Ridiculous core power: While readers always assumed that Cass' core power was mirror magic, the fourth book revealed that she is indeed a magical battery making her the most powerful supernatural in the world. Which would be completely useless, if she hadn't used her dreaded FireSoul power first to steel some powers to enhance. Interestingly enough the core power could have been used in this book to alleviate my misgivings pointed out under 4, if she used this power to enhance Aidan's out of necessity.

I'm still going to read the Seeker, but probably after a little pause to let my annoyance die down a little. And as I said initially, I did enjoy the series overall.

This is the final installment of the huntress series. It follows cass, del and nix as they try to defeat the dark one. Victor. He's on the hunt for the ultimate power and the girls know where it is but can they protect it from Victor. They are given a number of prophecies and advice from a number of different people who want the dark one gone.
The girls have to fight victor so that he can not hurt anyone else in his fight for revenge but can they win an will they all survive?
My favourite character is Aidan his love for Cass just keeps getting stronger no matter what
My least favourite character is Victor he has been hoping a grudge for way too long
I would definitely recommend this series to someone that likes the supernatural and I am looking forward to Del's story

Woohoo! They go all out for the bad guy, finally convincing the shifters that he IS the bad guy. They also rescue some captured teenage firesouls (and more than a few hellhounds). The romance takes another BIG step forward.

SPOILER FREE

In this, the final episode of Cass’s story in the Dragon’s Gift series the ends of her story are wrapped up with a man to love, friends that stand by her and her personal quest completed. The lead-in to the next installment and the story of Del and what her future holds will begin in Magic Undying to be released…well…when it is ready to be shared.

Cass, Nix and Del are true friends that have come through horrible circumstances. They stand by one another and are all three fire souls hiding from those that would imprison them. They also are on the run from the man they escaped from years ago. They have friends on the side who play parts in their adventures and Cass has one very special friend named Aidan.

It will be interesting to see where the future leads Del and Nix. I am sure the three sisters of the heart will continue to be there for one another throughout the series. With the real world and the other world they also deal with that has demons, shapeshifters, and other fantasy creatures all dealing with magic this is a fascinating series that grows and becomes more real with each book.

Thank you to the author for the copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I received a free advance digital copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank You so much Linsey!!!!

Wow! Every installment in this series never failed to amaze me, not only it has a consistent action-packed scenes, it also has a consistent way of keeping your attention all throughout the story. A total page turner indeed! Never in the 5 books I felt a feeling of dullness, but all I always feel when reading this series is how every book tends to surprise me and how incredibly good every character is.

Also, I really love how incredibly smooth the author was able to finish the story and introduce another spin off series for Del. Hell! I am already waiting for Del's story. It was a little bit cliffhanger for me, but in a good way that will make you crave for the upcoming book. It would really leave you thinking where Del go. Oh My! I can't really wait to know what Linsey got on her sleeves for next series.

My verdict: I JUST LOVE IT.

Infinite Magic is the conclusion to Cass’s story arc (but not the series as a whole ~ yay! We’ll get to that in a bit), and what a way to bring her story full circle. Things start off right where they ended in Eternal Magic and the race to stop Victor is on. As with the other books in the series this one is filled with lots of action, a few missteps and some great moments with Cass and crew. I liked watching as all the pieces fell into place and thought the conclusion was well done and satisfying.

As for Cass herself, her journey has been a rough one as she has struggled not only to come to terms with her magic, but also her past and her trust issues. I’ve enjoyed seeing her overcome each hurdle and become stronger and more confident, as well as more settled, in every aspect of her life and am looking forward to seeing what she is up to as the series continues.

This series has been a fun one to read. The world that Ms. Hall has created is rich and vibrant and I can’t wait to learn more about it as we get ready to start on Del’s journey, which is already off to a very intriguing start.

what ruined this book was how anticlimactic the ending was. seriously, it was too convenient, too easy to be true.

Recap:
Cass was already in the prison for a week and her friend, Emile was about to go on trail so she needed to get out fast. not to mention the bulldog came to interrogate/torture her so that's where she made her move. unfortunately, she was surrounded by the guards until her friends and the dragonets came to the rescue and they all escaped to cass's house.

they discussed about what happened, what they needed to do, blablabla, and then cass and aidan were on a mission to infiltrate bulldog's house to interrogate him. they found out about victor's plan to destroy the alpha council and awaken a very powerful and evil thing for him, and in exchange, the bulldog got some of it. but then the guards came in and there was a battle until cass used her power to blow up the house with wind (she said everyone died but i don't believe the bulldog died) and escaped.

they meet with aethelred to find out about victor's plan, no luck in that. but they saw his second house in transylvania and there was an army of demon there. next, they went to scotland to warn the alpha council themselves. aidan planned to go alone while cass waited nearby. however, the bulldog was still alive (told ya) and knocked aidan out. cass panicked and was about to land but she was knocked out too. yay

but they easily escaped with the hel of amara, who was a metal mage, almost got out as a rat, then an eagle, got captured again, but with the help of del, they managed to teleported back to aidan's hovel. so they failed to get the help of the alpha council and decided to infiltrate victor's stronghold by themselves (emile, claire, and connor came too).

his stronghold was very secured, they tried to came from air but it was impossible, they scouted around the protective dome, there was no entry, until they saw a twinkling light that they first thought as a snow, turned out to be a shadow spirit, decided to help them because they wanted for the 'dark one' (victor?) to be gone.

the shadow spirit showed them an emergency escape far from the castle. they got in, aidan and cass looked for the artifacts while the rest looked for the prisoners with the help of a hound dog until things went awry, of course. but aidan and cass still looked for the artifacts. they found the artifacts, but triggered an alarm so they lost the artifacts and got surrounded by demons instead until again, Del and the dragonets came to the rescue, saving cass, aidan, and 13 hellhounds.

the prisoners that the other rescued were 3 boys and they decided to hand them over to the league of firesouls (along with the hellhounds) for save-keeping. they planned to approach the alpha council again with Aidan who did the talking and in the meantime, cass decided to practice with her sisters accompanying her. in the midst of her practice, they were visited by the blood mage sister. they said that aethelred got a vision and said that cass and friends need to get ahold of whatever victor was seeking before him and it was somewhere near the alpha council's stronghold.

so they went searching for the broch in 3 groups, cass with aidan. on their journey, they met with ceasg, some kind of mermaid with salmon tail. she said they'd face a monster with 4 legs and just used freshwater to defeat it (too easy -.-). and said that they could trust the no legs (ceasg) and four legs (some kind of faun) because they wanted her (the one) to get rid of the darkness.

they indeed met the four leg, cass easily killed it with water, but after some pending in her brain and Aidan almost got killed. but she easily healed him. then they met the bauchan, the faun thingy. the faun took them to the broch (it was a building!) but they could only enter on moonlight.

they found a basement that went on and on until somewhere under the alpha council's when they arrived to a chamber. inside there were an egg that contain magic and power itself—the stone of power—with its watcher. the watcher said that it needed the triumvirate to take it and if victor took it, he would be the most powerful indeed (why not just leave it then and ran somewhere far away, it was clear that victor couldn't take it himself -.-). also, the triumvirate had to defeat him outside his circle of power, in the place where they could have more power, but idiot cass didn't know where it was (isn't it obvious, it was in the black fortress where there was the statue and all that-.- stupid idiot indeed). this was the book of simpleton -.-

then they drove back with the others when their car was bombed and the triumvirate was kidnapped, again. they woke up in a place above the stone of power, surrounded by demons and frozen shifters (apparently they attacked but victor used the heartstone against them). victor took each of their blood with the chalice of youth (the chalice enhanced it) the pour it into the cauldron then voila, the stone of power was evil.

but not so fast because helped has come and connor managed to unfreeze the shifters. it was carnage and del decided that she needed to die, just like what the prophecy said so she stabbed herself (badass) and cass had no choice but take her power, ran into victor and teleported him to the black fort (finally, she realized that). of course victor threw a tantrum and grow until 6 meter tall and made out of stone. but, just with little death power from del's statue, he died. so fckin anticlimactic. the she returned to Glencarrough and nix said that del's body disappeared, there was little casualties (only a few shifters, how convenient) then they returned to the magic bend, tried not to be sad because the prophecy said that del would return and eat their feelings in P&P

This series just keeps getting better and better!

I can't believe that Cass' story has finally ended! As to be expected from Linsey Hall, this series has been action-packed and filled with adventures after adventures of epic proportions. Not to mention the places and worlds she take us to, they're all magical and breath-taking, I can actually picture it! This is one series that you wouldn't want to end!

But with the end of Cass and Aidan's story, I can't wait for another Linsey Hall series!

Cass got caught an awful lot in this installment; it felt a little much. That said, there are once again some fantastic fight scenes in here. Hall has a nice knack for interweaving magic use with physical battle. Again I was surprised by how little of the book was left when I temporarily surfaced from the fog of being sucked in.

No guns? I’ve thought this before, but since it still hasn’t come up nor been addressed, I’ll finally mention it here. This is modern-day urban fantasy. If people fight with weapons then why don’t they use guns at all? Not a single gun shows up in the story, nor does anyone mention they exist. I haven’t seen any reason mentioned why they wouldn’t work. Even if they don’t work against demons–something that I doubt, since every other weapon works against them–there are plenty of other creatures to fight.

I still don’t understand why Victor left Cass in the Prison at the end of the last book. His minion sort of explains it in this one, as needing a place to store her while preparing for all the evil stuff that’s going to happen. But since Victor’s been searching for her for ten years, and had reason to expect he’d find her soon, I’m sure he has the means of holding her. Especially since he’s been constantly finding and imprisoning FireSouls in the meantime.

Fire and lightning won’t work against a denizen of Hell? This is the reason Cass expresses for why her lightning bolt feeds a certain critter instead of frying it. But fire and lightning have worked against demons for five books now.

Okay, it sounds like I’m unusually unhappy with this installment, and overall I’m really not. There are just a few inconsistencies that caught up with me and rubbed me the wrong way this time. A couple of them have been problems before, but I wanted to wait until I read the whole series to see if an explanation came to light. That said, I definitely enjoyed this story! Don’t worry about one seemingly-dropped plot thread toward the end–remember that there are more books by the author set in this universe and involving these characters. Overall these are wonderful, kick-ass characters facing great odds in a fight for the world as they know it–it’s a great read and a lot of fun.

Nothing like a little Yuletide bingeing! I decided to review Linsey Hall's 5-book Huntress miniseries and Holy FireSoul! Once Cass, Del, and Nix's story begins, once your eyes are performing the line by line dance, once your brain receives the literary download - consider yourself a slave to Linsey Hall's word prowess.

What do I believe Hall does best - relationships. Cass and her two besties Del and Nix are sisters by choice and closer than blood. There love and respect for one another intertwined with a shared past monster hunting them, demons circling, and the Order of the Magica hoping to imprison them delivers a doozy of a plotline. Who is the "Monster"? Why did he originally imprison them? How did they escape? Why does he chase them still? What happened to their memories? Their families? Are their BFFs Claire and Connor trustworthy with their secrets? Are dragon hoards really stuffed with gold and jewels? Are Cornish pasties delicious? Does Aidan have a six or eight pack? Are dragons real? Are Lefty and Righty good dagger names? Why are FireSouls hunted? Are Hellhounds cuddly? If someone tells you that they love you, do you have to respond in kind? Guess what - I know the answers to all of these questions! Join the In-the-Know Club - begin Ancient Magic in 3-2-1... NOW!

*Note - I thought I was happy with the FireSoul trio but that is only because I hadn't met the Origin (peak of the Shifter food chain and all around BA), Aidan Merrick. Cass just thought she had life goals... The Origin (the OG of the Shifter world) is a powerful, wealthy (Griffin) man who happens to also be incredibly kind, thoughtful, and head over tail feathers for Cass - too good to be true - nope - it's veraciously TRUE!!!

*Note - looks like my Christmas decorations will see the dawn of the New Year - who has time for dismantling the Season when Del's Seeker miniseries awaits???

The time has come for Cass and her deirfiur to confront the monster that has hunted them since they were kids; and try to stop Victor's master plan.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Having read the rest of the series, I've followed Cass as she finds out the truth of her forgotten history; the unexplained powers her sisters possess; and a growing connection with Aidan. So I was very excited to get to her finale.
The story starts with Cass being stuck in jail, from the end of the last book. It then follows the tried and tested plotline, of finding a powerful hidden artefact before the bad guys get there. It's kinda like Lara Croft or Indiana Jones, trying not to trip the ancient traps.

We get to revisit a lot of the characters that have featured throughout the series, with the Scottish shifters, the League of Firesouls, and the dragonettes.
I really liked how the series started, focusing on just the three sisters; but the core group has naturally grown to include Aidan, Claire, Connor, Mordaca, Aerdaca etc. It was fantastic to see them all in action.

The book really steps up a gear with the climax.
That was awesome. I was shell-shocked by what happened! I sat there wondering how Hall could do that to us!
As much as I really really want to share, I'm not saying anything else to spoil it.

The Huntress series has finished, but the Dragon Gift books will continue with The Seeker series (but don't read them until you've finished this - there are spoilers in the first Seeker book, including a MAJOR one).

I've enjoyed the series up to this book but this part seems to lack the thought and quality of the others.

Top 3 Annoying Things

Besides the niggles I have enjoyed the series somewhat and feel that with a bit more time and fine tuning they could all be really good books. I will try the next series () and hope more attention to detail is taken.

Final battle is upon Cass and her team

Infinite Magic is the fifth and final book in Linsey Hall’s Dragon’s Gift: The Huntress series. This continues on were Eternal Magic ends with Cass being locked up in the Order of Magica’s prison.

The finale we have all be waiting for between Cass, her deirfiúr, Aidan, Claire and Conner and the Monster/Victor is finally here. We have been building up to this battle for several books and it’s finale here.

This is conclusion has been highly anticipated and I feel like I was a little disappointed. We have gone through so much over the last 4.5 books with the girls and Aidan and it seemed as the ending was rushed. I still did enjoy the book and the conclusion but the finale battle just didn’t excite me as much as I had expected it to. Plus the loss didn’t seem to make as much as a dent as would have been expected, I know it was prophesied to not be the end and we know it’s not the end as the next series proves this, but I would have expected more distress and grievance. (Sorry very cryptic, don’t want to give anything away, but once you’ve read you’ll understand)

The characters were still fantastic as well as the few new people to join the team plus the extra beasts/monsters that made an appearance were wonderful to meet. I look forward to reading the other characters and their stories that follow in the next lot of series and hopefully we still get appearances from Cass and Aidan.

"Infinite Magic" is the final book in the Dragon's Gift -Hundreds series. It is the ultimate test for Cass to fight and defeat her ultimate enemy, Victor Corriodor. If she fails all will be lost for those she loves and the world.

The last four books have been leading up to this confrontation but this time the girls will not have to deal with Victor along. Cass is kind of like the pier piper picking up strays and allies every where she goes. Our story begins with Cass trying to find a way to escape the prison for miscreants. It is not just her fate in jeopardy as there is another FireSouls, Emile, at risk. With the help of Emile's two rat friends and of course, Aiden, Nix, Del, Connor and Del they break free. Cass finally learns the intent of Victor's end game and she desperately seeking a way to stop him but at what cost?

As Cass and her friends scurry to find a way to defeat Victor it soon becomes abundantly clear that not everyone will survive. The real question is who will fall? This was a good conclusion in the Hundreds series and also sets the background for the next adventure focusing on another sister. I just hope that the next series will not be a mirror image of the first with a formulaic approach.

I am stunned! I am shellshocked! I am amazed! This book was everything I wanted in a book, and more. I wasn't expecting this book to end the way it did, even though it did for a reason. I am so excited to start Dell's books because I am ready to know what happens next.

This series once again has blown my mind. Not only did I learn more about Victors ultimate goal, but I also learned more about ultimate magic, and what it can do. This was not a walk it the park book it was more like; by the way let me fill your day with unstoppable action and magic so that life doesn't matter until you finish this book. This makes me love the book so much, because there is no putting this one down. I love books that keep me going through the story, and make the story so real that nothing else matters except that I get to transport myself into another world. This book proves the wonders of what imagination can do for someone.

Not only did this book take me to another world, but it destroyed whatever I might have been stressing about at the moment. Books can be such a release, and I was happy to have enjoyed this one.

Slight Cliffhanger/hook

The final book in this mini-series within the Dragon’s Gift series, puts Cass on the hunt for Victor, the evil firesoul with nefarious plans.
With the helps of her sisters-of-the-heart, her boyfriend Aiden, and a few friends, she is sure she can stop him before it’s too late.

Cass has to learn to manage her magic in this book, and the final showdown is ultimately her battle alone, fitting since this is the end of her particular story arc... the slight cliffhanger/book hook entices is to read Del’s series next.
Though the book is more of a “Happily for Now” ending, it was an enjoyable read. The world is richly thought out, and the treasure-hunting theme gives an Indiana Jones feel to the books. Still, it IS very much Urban Fantasy, although the author does allow classic mythology and fantasy elements to appear throughout. Recommended for fans of fantasy and urban fantasy.

Infinite Magic is the last book in the Dragon's Gift: The Huntress Series by Linsey Hall. Cass knows that she needs to get out of the Prison for Magical Miscreants and stop Victor Orriodor. But first, she has to adjust to being the world's most powerful Magica. Can Cass gather enough of her allies to take down Victor Orriodor once and for all?
Overall, this was a great ending to the first Dragon's Gift Series. The characters are interesting, the plot is fast paced, and there is always something new to explore. Every book should be read in order. The next series is the Dragon's Gift: The Seeker. The first book is Magic Undying and is told from Del's point of view.

Linsey Hall's Dragon's Gift The Huntress series

I just finished the last book of the Huntress series. I would recommend the set to young teens in particular, but I enjoyed it as well and I'm ... um ... much older than that. It is an exciting coming-of-age adventure, with aspects of both modern fantasy and classic fairy tales. There are magic, shifters, wizards, mythical characters, monsters, heroes, heroines, danger, rescues, disasters, nasty villains and characters you will care about.

There is also a vivid portrayal of the damage that results from rampant unthinking prejudice.

This is the finale for this series that was in Cass' POV. I've really enjoyed the whole series! Love the magic and all the awesome action! Cass and Aiden's romance is super sweet, and I love how much Aiden has always been there for Cass. Cass needs to gain full control of all of her magical abilities, or she won't be able to defeat the big bad. Cass and her crew are in some serious danger. It's looking like Cass' sisters are each going to get their own 5 book series, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they each end up. Del's series has a lot to do with the Underworld, which I love, so I am super excited for that! Really fun series, and wonderfully unique.

Infinite Magic was my absolute favourite book in this series and the ending was just magical and leads into the next series perfectly.

I seriously love Cass and Aiden as well as Del Nix, Connor and Claire they have been through so much together and come out the other side, well mostly.

This story had some great surprises and sweet moments in amongst the chaos and madness that surrounded the girl's thanks to Victor Orriodor but the thing with Cass, De and Nix are they are fighters and true survivors in a magically badass way.
