Oh the possibilities!
The author poured a lot into this story and while I thought the story in many respects took a naive approach to a short but intense connection by two complete strangers, I have to say that the prose, the description, the tone and the attitude was some of the best I have read in a long time.
This was a story that allowed the characters the opportunity to express themselves unfettered.
I liked the fact that I got to read their story and when I say that, what I mean is I liked the fact it wasn’t dictated to me, it wasn’t forced upon me, it was laid out piece by piece, with a tasteful beauty.
The author used her obviously very vivid imagination to highlight the passion the main characters felt towards each other but she wasn’t overtly salacious, much of the sensuality came from the implied emotional connection that as a reader was impossible to miss.
I liked the fact that neither of them was willing to lay all their cards on the table, they both had a life off the island but when what that was, comes to light, well that was the moment my emotions plummeted, I wanted them to be able to have it all. Could they?
This isn’t your usual romance novel, but it is without a doubt gloriously romantic. The author was able to cover all the bases with a story that embraced the emotional spectrum, it easily included the simplicity of the connection between the two of them and wrapped it up in a storyline that while not riddled with complexity, was definitely more than it initially appeared.
I only hope that given the last word in the book was “Hello” that there may be a little more to come, I would like to see what happens to them both next.

4.5 🌟. This was different in style than books I have been reading. The 'conversations' occur much more in each character's head as thoughts and day dreams than in reality with another character. The upside is you get more of what a character is feeling and actually thinking, but the downside is many more issues pop up between the characters due to the lack of knowledge what the other was thinking or wanted. Perhaps that's why it works....it happens in life that way. Interesting plot - confident, educated, successful woman traveling alone meets hot, equally successful, educated stranger. They enjoy a whirlwind week of experiences only to have reality intrude. The ending actually made me rather mad/sad, but for many I'm sure they would enjoy it immensely. I encourage you to read it and decide for yourself. The author's turn of phrase and word choice was a refreshing change from many romance books. I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

"I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book." It was good book with intriguing characters. Despite what it says it does feel like a cliffhanger ending. I would have liked to see where these two end up.

I was given this book so that I may review. It when finished.

This is a very interesting take on perceptions of how a book is written. It made a change not having the characters named or described in the normal fashion most are used to.
After settling into the story and the style it is presented. You begin to picture for yourself how the characters appear, the storyline is good, and it is a very good read.
I recommend it if you would like to read a romance with a totally different slant on things, characters are strong, and story flows quite nicely, the ending may take people by surprise, but I understand what the author was trying to achieve by doing it. All in all a very good read, well worth reading.

The characters were so good that I found myself making up more stuff about them. The book was a great swim into your own thoughts as you were reading and then after you were done.. Connection. It was a change from my normal books of here is Joe, Joe is a writer... very sexy,.
