** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Wow, just wow.
What a read.
I'm speechless.
I have no words.
That was just all kinds of twisted, dark, down right dirty and I loved every minute of it.

Meet Naomi.
Twenty eight years old.
Living on her own, Naomi is just like us all.
Works, sleeps, repeats.
That's all she does.
She needs to earn as much as she can to take care of herself and to also take care of her parents.
Her father is sick, her mother taking care of him and the medical bills are huge.
So Naomi works as hard as she can to take care of them both.
Because for Naomi family means everything to her.
But a day at work will change everything.
She's no longer got her job.
She's asked to leave.
What does she do now?
How will she help her parents?
How will she survive?

Enter Max Marino.
He's rich, insanely rich.
Wealth is all he's ever known.
Anything is attainable.
Everything can be brought.
Anyone can be brought.
Money and power, things that Max possesses.
He will win.
He's watched her.
He's studied her.
He will have her.
She will be a part of his game.
Naomi will be a part of his game.

Welcome to Wicked Bride Games.
Three men.
Nine women.
Three weeks.
Contracts signed.
Who will win?
Who will lose?
Who will submit?
Who will die?
Who will have it all?

Guys you are just going to have to read Wicked Bride Games to find out.

I kid you not this is my first 2017 review and I am at a complete loss. This book was so freaken twisted and dark, confronting and sinfully delicious, I still can't believe I just read what I did.
But guys I absolutely loved every single minute of it.
So detailed and written with such depth you can't help but feel the emotion pouring from the pages.
You can't help but be drawn to it.
You just need to read it to understand it and appreciate it's darkness and beauty.
But be warned.....Nothing and I mean nothing is what it seems. If you think for one second you have it worked out. Think again. You won't. I know I didn't and still after finishing it I'm still speechless.

I can't recommend this book highly enough.
If dark, dirty and gritty with a twist is your thing you need to read this. You won't be disappointed.

5 stars.

When I read the blurb for 'Wicked Bride Games', I was sure that I would love it. After reading several reviews from friends praising it's masterful storytelling, I was even more convinced that this book would be right up my alley. After all, I love nothing more than a dark, twisted and deliciously disturbing story.

Unfortunately, this book just didn't measure up to the hype for me. This is one of those times where I find myself the "odd man out" amongst my friends. It just didn't work for me at all, for many reasons.

While I suspect that the "darkness" of this story will turn-off many readers, that wasn't an issue for me at all. In fact, the dark elements were one of the primary draws for me. Although some parts were decidedly disgusting (cum drinking, anyone?), there was nothing so shocking in the content that it would send me running scared.

The biggest problem for me was that I never really connected with any of the main characters. The storyline seemed rushed and underdeveloped, leaving the supposed emotional reactions of the characters feeling insincere and contrived. The closest thing that I could equate it to would be the poor acting skills in a low-rate movie or porn film. It just doesn't compare to the emotional response an Oscar-worthy performance will evoke in viewers.

Well, reading this book felt like reading a script for one of those low-budget, porn films for me. The reactions of the characters to some very unbelievable events was laughable at best. It was hard to take it seriously, when the characters didn't seem to.

I felt like the author was telling me what the characters were supposed to be feeling, but in a very unconvincing manner...almost going through the motions without fleshing out the details to make it apparent to readers without having to spell it out. Does that make sense? I felt like I was being force-fed the "correct" response from the character, because the story was not written in a way that would actually elicit the response.

The premise of this story was promising, but I found the execution to be lacking. That being said, this is a reflection of my personal tastes and this style might work well for others. I need a bit more meat to my stories and not just some dark content thrown out there for shock value.

I have read other stories by this author that I really enjoyed, such as 'Twenty-One'. I will definitely read more of her work in the future. However, this book was a big disappointment for me.

My advice to those itching to read/flay this book:

1. Suspend all feminist views.
2. Recognize this is fiction.
3. Do acknowledge the author's ability to weave an engaging story
4. Distance your emotions
5. Be sure to avoid food and drinks- cum soup, anyone?-, at least 3-4 hours prior to reading
6. Lastly, try not to rationalize the plot or story, instead, accept it in the spirit in which it was written

This was interesting, to say the least. BRB

Wooow!! Okay, I have no idea how to write this review. None. Forgive me if this comes out like a ramble, because that is probably what is going to happen. This has got to be one of the craziest books I have ever read! I want everyone to please read the warning before attempting to read this book. After you do that, read it again! This story is not for everyone. Don’t think the warning is just for really sensitive readers. It’s not! I am quite certain there is something seriously wrong with me for enjoying it, but enjoy it I did!

This story revolves around three wealthy men, nine desperate women, and fifty million dollars. If you were hopelessly drowning in debt and you could sell your body for a few weeks and in return receive more money than you could ever imagine, would you? That’s exactly what these women did. They signed contracts allowing the Marino brothers to use their bodies in any way they want. There is no safe word, no boundaries, and most definitely no mercy.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This story is told in dual point of view by one of the women, Naomi, and one of the brothers, Max. Naomi was recently fired from her job, and she can’t even get a loan to pay her bills. Her father is dying of cancer, and she gives all of the money she has to help provide his medicine. Shortly after her bad luck descends upon her, she receives a letter in the mail containing the offer of a lifetime. At first, she has her reservations and even has Max put special clauses into her contract, but eventually she signs on the dotted line.

Naomi isn’t the only woman in the mansion down on her luck. Every woman there has a reason to want that money. Once they arrive, they find out the bad news that only three of them will be receiving the money. Unfortunately, that’s not the only surprise they have coming their way.

Sex, murder, deception, more sex, and all out insanity is what you are in for if you decide to read this book! I actually felt like I was watching some messed up porn throughout the majority of the story. I am not going to sugar coat it, some pretty sick shit goes down in this book. There is no other way that I can describe it. I have seen a few people say this isn’t that dark. I want to say that if you love dark romance or dark erotica, you will be fine. If you aren’t a reader that is used to all the crazy, this may be a bit too much. It may sound like I am trying to warn you against reading this book. I am in no way trying to do that. I don’t want the author to get bad reviews because people go into this expecting it to be something it’s not, or for a reader to waste their time and money. I know if someone tells me how messed up and crazy a book is, that just makes me want to read it even more! I think it works that way for most lovers of the dark and depraved, so I hope to them this sounds like a glowing review!

Wicked Bride Games is a dark and sordid tale that is not for the faint of heart or the weak of stomach. You probably won’t like the characters that much, but it won’t even matter. I don’t think you are really supposed to. Sure, you may find yourself rooting for someone, but most of these people are morally bankrupt. It is the story and the outrageous things these characters do that grips you, shocks you, and excites you!

Overall, this was a fun read for me. It is entertaining, hot, mesmerizing, twisted, and completely batshit!! If you are looking for a nice romantic love story, pass this right on by. If you love stories that make you feel like you may need to be evaluated by a mental health professional, one-click this one asap!!

When I first read the blurb for this one I was HOOKED...
Three brothers …
Nine girls …
All competing for the ultimate prize … marriage.

Let the games begin.

How can anyone NOT be intrigued by that?!

I have to admit I am a little concerned about what it says about me that I enjoyed this twisted mind fuck of a book so much. But enjoy it I did. Very thoroughly I might add.

description

It was dark (though not the darkest I have read) It had twists and turns. I am usually good at Sherlocking and can usually see a plot twist coming a mile away. This book threw me for a loop on more than one occasion. I was WTFing so much I had to call my friend to tell her all about it.

Max was sexy as f@ck even though he was batshit crazy. Naomi was a stone cold biatch and fit right in. The brothers were psycho. The other girls were an interesting bunch. Since this book's primary focus is on Max and Naomi, the other girls are not as well developed, but they still offered a satisfying backdrop to the overall story.

The writing was excellent. The characters intriguing. The plot moved along at a good pace and I was NEVER bored. In fact, I skipped my lunch because I couldn't stand to put it down. Not much more to say honestly. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book. Heed those warning though because this one isn't for the faint of heart. Two thumbs up from yours truly.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Do not defy us. Do not deny us pleasure. Fail, and you will be eliminated, the contract nullified.

I wouldn’t say this is the darkest I’ve read but for ones just stepping into the dark genre it will wet their palate perfectly, for it to be dark for me the scenes had to have been written in detail more than what they were, though you do get an idea in your head how it unfolds. The twists and turns in ‘Wicked bride games’ does make for a compelling nail biting read which the author did perfectly as not one twist was obvious which kept me glued to my ipad throughout.
As for the hotness level of this book, it was scorching, hotter than the sun, melted panties hot, you get my drift??
I can't even say that I clicked with the characters in this, or even liked them for that matter, but what I did like about this was how out of the box it was, to the point where I can't even compare it to anything I've read before.
As for twisted, this was as twisted as one can go, so twisted that it even made me twisted for liking it as much as I did..Definitely worth a one click!!

A man desperate to get what he wants, a woman desperate enough to give him exactly what he craves, wants, seeks, needs.

PLOT TWISTS surely KEPT shit interesting.

“Mine … to do with whatever I please.”

Naomi loses her job right as she's also about to lose her apartment, and she's scrambling to figure out a way to hold it all together. Then an anonymous letter gets delivered to her saying that all her problems can be solved if she meets the writer later that day,. It sounds sketchy as hell, but Naomi has nothing left to lose so she goes to hear this person's offer.

Max is an insanely wealthy man and used to getting everything he wants. And he wants Naomi. Three weeks of her time that he can use in any way he pleases in exchange for fifty million dollars - that's his offer. And he knows Naomi won't turn it down. But what Naomi thinks is an offer for her to be his, and his alone, is actually an offer for her to compete along with eight other women for his or one of his brothers' hand in marriage.

Once Naomi find out the truth, the games begin. She's not one to back down a fight and she'll do anything is takes to win. No matter how bloody this game gets.

I honestly didn't know what to expect going into this book, and even while reading I had no clue what this author was going to do next. Just when I thought she reached the highest level of insanity she would throw some more surprises into the mix and shock the hell out of me. I loved that I had no clue what was going to happen throughout this reading experience and it kept me in suspense the whole time.

Naomi and Max were both these crazy and unpredictable characters and they made this book volatile in the best way possible. It was never clear just how far they were willing to go in order to win the game and it added an intensity to their characters since I couldn't get a clear read on them. Then when I saw just how much they wanted to win I think my eyes were so wide they could have popped right out of my head.

I know I'm just repeating myself over and over about how insane this book was, but holy shit you won't be prepared. The ending was one of the most out there mysteries I've ever read and I loved that this author ended it in such a way. This was one of those reads that will have your heart pounding while you read and for that alone it deserves to be read. But there's also the plus of having some really thought-out characters that you will love to hate. So seriously, read this book if you want the shock of a lifetime.

EXCERPT:

“You will receive fifty million dollars.”
Her eyes flicker with a certain greed I recognize all too well.
“If?”
I slide the paper closer to her. “You sign this.”
“What is it?” she asks, still not moving one inch.
I thought the mere tease would be enough for her mind to want to crack this puzzle, but it seems she’s a lot more stubborn than I presumed.
“It’s a contract. You will receive fifty million dollars at the end of our agreement … if you become mine.”
She squints. “Yours? Explain.”
The right side of my lips tug into a smile. I can’t help it; I love her sassiness. Too bad it won’t last.
“Mine … to do with whatever I please.”
“Like a sex toy.”
“More than that.”
“Your girlfriend?” She makes a face, and it amuses me.
“Not just that.”
“Then what?” Judging by the tone of her voice, I can tell she’s agitated.
“Anything and everything.”
Her face only hardens more.
“For fifty million dollars, you want me to be your sex doll?”
My brows draw together. “Sex doll? That sounds so crude.”
She sighs and closes her eyes, her hand dropping to her lap again.
“Fifty million dollars. After three weeks,” I add, and I place the pen on the piece of paper in front of her.
Suddenly, she gets up from the chair, her face completely void of any emotion. “You’ve got the wrong girl.”
She turns around and starts to walk away, not even granting me one more look. I know what she thinks. This is illegal. Who am I to even ask? What am I thinking? Have I lost my mind? She could sue me or call the cops for even suggesting the idea.
But she knows just as well as I do that no one will believe her.
Besides, we both know she needs this, so it’s just a matter of time before she comes knocking on my door.
With a grin on my face and the memory of her perfectly swaying ass as it leaves through my door, I say, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

I wasn't even sure how to rate this one. Clarissa Wild did an amazing job of messing with my head.

Naomi has hit rock bottom. She lost her job, her dad's dying from cancer and her parents can barely afford his medication, the bills are piling up, and the bank turned her down for a loan. What's a girl to do? Find a new job? Apply for government assistance? Turn tricks? Sell drugs? Or maybe take the mysterious Max Marino up on his offer of $50 million for three weeks of her as his "property". At first she's resistant but c'mon... it's $50 MIL!

I never liked Naomi. My dislike for her only grew as the story unfolded. At first it was because of... I'm just going to quote my status updates:
"I'm only 7% in and I'm already questioning the heroine, Naomi. Is she for real??? No, seriously. Is she? Because she's mad that she's not at the top of the food chain, but I've seen no mention of her education. Then she gets made because the bank questions if she can pay back a loan when she has NO JOB!! I thought the question was appropriate. Am I the one who's clueless???"

And then at 11%:
"Getting through this slowly but surely but Naomi is really frustrating the fck out of me! Now she's appalled by Max's proposal??? Wasn't she just a few pages ago, willing to sell her body to pay the bills? Did she think she was gonna get paid more than 50 million on the street corner between "Get fcking real" Street and "Find a damn clue" Avenue???"

The negative feelings I had towards her also stemmed from how deceitful, manipulative, cruel, and downright evil she was. However, I admired the shite out of her tenacity, determination, and perseverance in the face of all she had to endure.

Max was a truly intriguing character. His motivations are what first caught my interest and his devotion to Naomi kept it because it bordered on obsessive. I wasn't a fan of the idea of him interacting physically with the other woman, but thankfully the author spared us the details. I did want Max to succeed and found myself rooting for him at the most inappropriate times.

This story was dark, twisted, dirty, insane, and a bizarre sort of mindfck. There's a lot of negative energy permeating this book, which made it an incredibly entertaining read.

3.5 -have some mouthwash and tic tacs on hand... and probably a douche- Stars

Can't think of a more romantic way of finding one's significant other, than playing a game like this. *swoons... NOT!*

I very much enjoyed this book with absolute, morbid fascination! Some scenes were like really disgusting entertainment for me - which works beautifully if you leave ALL your realistic and romantic expectations out the door.
description

I won't be rehashing any synopsises or scenes in my unhelpful review, as there are soooo many better and more descriptive reviews out there - and I'm also too mentally drained to even try. If you need further info, I recommend reading Bibi J's review here for some much needed mental preparation and advice, before starting this book.

I can say; that I may hesitate before drinking any cream based soup in the future... And I may be brushing my teeth 5 times a day until the memory of some scenes, are surgically removed from my brain...
description

All in all, I had an absolute ball with this book (and by ball, I mean being entertained by filth and murder and OTT suspense and unbelievably stupid contracts that makes no legal sense and general OTT scenarios that would never hold up outside of a B Grade horror/smut movie).

Not recommended to those who are looking for a romance of the ages. Highly recommended to those with an iron stomach and a warped/dirty sense of humour, who can handle some degrading sexual scenes and blood. Now I'm not a fan of ménages, sexual slavery or sharing partners, but I took this very one well because I was somewhat prepared for the content and the H's loyalty and devotion made it easier to stomach... but don't expect no Noah Calhoun...

Told in dual POV and first story in what looks like a standalone series. Yes, I'll be continuing Hyun's story in book 2 cos I think I'm a masochist who likes grossing herself out.

Let the games begin!!

I want to apologize in advance for whoever reads this review. I really don't have any complete thoughts about this book, just a bunch of little things I want to say but don't really know how to make them go into one cohesive piece so... Yeah. Here we are.

“This is sick. This whole game is sick.”
The vicious, lopsided smile on his face makes me hold my breath. “It’s the Wicked Bride Games, honey. Get used to it because it’s going to get much, much worse.”

All of these characters are crazy ass mofos. Seriously. The 3 brothers, the heroine, most of the other girls in the house, all crazy. If I found out what was going on, I'd pack my bags, do a nice little hair flip and a "later, bitches!" On the way out. How could they all act like this is so normal? Thankfully out of the three brothers, Max was the least amount of crazy, and I actually did kind of like him. The heroine though, Naomi, um... Did anyone notice how she just kind of went off the freaking deep end? Someone get that girl a padded room.

Some things I noticed about Naomi early on that I liked were how detail oriented and smart she was. She paid attention to little details and would tuck important information away for later use, because in a situation like this, the devil is always in the details. If I had to describe her in one word, without a doubt it would be conniving. You start out thinking she's a victim but man oh man, she's as into these twisted games as the three brothers are! This crazy lady plays to win.

"I might be a cold-hearted bitch, but I’m not frozen. Yet."

The hero, Max, was at least the least crazy of the brothers, so that was fun, and he was dare I say a little sweet almost at times? He was a really weird contradiction. At moments he was gentle and tender towards the heroine, and others he had this crazy vibe going on, seeming like it was a kill or be killed type of world. Dog eat dog. You never really know what's happening in the games, so it's hard at times to see where his head lies and how into it he actually is.

“Stop fighting. Stop resisting me. I know you feel what I feel.”
“Money isn’t worth dying over …” she spits.
“No, but marriage is. Especially when it comes to marrying the most beautiful, smartest woman I’ve ever met.” My index finger brushes her cheek, and I lean into her ear. “I need you by my side, Naomi.”

Even early on, I didn't know how I expected the games to end but that was NOT it. Holy. Um, yeah... So... I'm just kind of scratching my head. You learn bits and pieces about why the games are 'important' throughout, but I could never come to a conclusion on how they would end. I guess it makes sense, but wow I wasn't expecting that.

"[you need to] see it as more than just a business deal.”
“How could I possibly when there are other girls who could still win this game?”
“They stand no chance against you.” I kiss the top of her hand.
“They do if your brothers pick me first,” she says.
“Over my dead body.”
“Really? You would die before they got their hands on me?”
“That’s the game, honey, and I play to win.”

The last chapter and the epilogue didn't make a whole lot of sense for me, and that's why I'm rating this as 4 stars. It wasn't in line with the rest of the story or the goals of the heroine. All of a sudden she started acting differently and it was odd. Yes, earlier I said she was conniving but her focus was always in gaining the money. Then when it became a competition, she wanted to win. So why now all of a sudden, does she say everything she did was actually for power? This was never mentioned so it came sort of out of left field.

"These three men standing before us in black suits, trying to impress us with their wealth. Only one thing impresses me, and that’s their resolve to get what they want. It’s something we have in common because I’ll stop at nothing to be the one girl to win this foul competition."

Everyone kind of went psycho. I guess that would make sense, but I don't really understand how these girls went from loving and doing each other's hair and makeup to how it was at the ending. The brothers at least started out insane but the girls... They picked it up quick.

This book isn't for the faint of heart. There's plenty of drama, twists and turns, kink, blood, violence, death, etc. It's dark. It's fucked. Do not expect sunshine and roses! Expect knives and air deprivation and lots of crazy people. This will disturb some readers.

"[S]he can’t help always trying to be at the top.
It’s what we do.
Who we are.
Fighters.
Winners.
Conquerors.
And in each other, we’ve found our match."

Now with that being said, I'll only usually read a handful of darker reads every year. They're just not generally my thing, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy this was to read, even while being dark and twisted. It reads quick and it's still super entertaining.

It's almost like a dark and twisted version of The Bachelor. Lock plenty of girls in a house to start fighting over one (or in this case 3) men. It's entertaining AF and addicting for no good reason. You can't put this book down. I've read a few stories by Clarissa in the past and this one definitely follows her signature style. If this sounds like your scene, take a look and welcome to the Wicked Bride Games.

Ok I have to admit that I expected more of the "wicked" in it LOL, I know, it sounds strange, but the main reason I wasn't into it, was the heroine.

She was a badass but in a such an irritating as hell way and she went on my nerves most of the time, which kinda put the mood down. (I won't even mention the other chosen females for the "wicked games" set by the three billionaire Marino brothers.

I mean, those men performing the "wicked games" were put in the "villain" department and that's all they evoked in me, but having them there, also meant that I just didn't care what will happen to them, nor I wanted a "HEA" of any kind, if you can call it that, in the first place...

besides, the KINKY, weird, wicked, twisted stuff... *pause*

I've expected worse things, you know, gross, gore within the fuckfest...

I sound like a weirdo, don't I...

*shake it off* LOL

all in all, *shrugs* it was just ok, for me!

"It's the Wicked Bride Games, honey. Get used to it because it's going to get much, much worse."

The blurb of this book had me very intrigued but I had no idea which direction the story would go. I have read books by Clarissa Wild before and she is known for her dark and original story-lines. Wicked Bride Games was very unpredictable, the moment I thought I had it all figured out I was hit with a plot twist. I will keep this review general because I don't think you need to know more than what is told in the blurb. You just have to experience this twisted story. Nothing is what it seems like!

I had mixed feelings about the main character Naomi Lee, I couldn't really get a good read on her. She was very cunning and cold-hearted. Which I didn't expect when I started the book. However I do love strong and bad-ass females that can take care of themselves. Naomi was a mystery to me and I really enjoyed getting to know her. On the other hand Max showed his cards pretty early into the story. First I didn't know what his game plan was but just like Naomi I had him figured out pretty fast.

I loved the setting and plot of this book a lot. It was very original, dark, twisted and very erotic. I have a thing for dark romances and this book fit that subgenre perfectly. The writing was easy to read and had a great flow. The pace of the story was great The characters were very intriguing and unique. I was especially influenced by Naomi's actions, she was pretty awesome. I do want to mention that the "later that day", "minutes later" etc. were a bit unnecessary as subheadings, in my opinion it could've been incorporated perfectly into the sentences. Or they could've been left out completely.

***** 3.75 Stars *****

Wicked Bride Games is ridiculously insane. Three wealthy brothers and nine broke girls. And the winning bride gets fifty million dollars.

The games are intense and dirty. There are also some sexual scenes that are disturbing. As the POV switches between Naomi and Max, the reader gets to experience everything going on from different angles.

Naomi and Max know what needs to be done in order to have it all. So, get ready for some drama and bloodshed.

This book should be called The Bachelor on crack. All rational thinking has gone out the window. I found the conclusion to be a little disappointing. But overall, this erotic and crazy story was highly entertaining.

2.75 stars!

First of all, I need to point out that everyone should take the WARNINGS seriously! This is a twisted, disturbing, violent, crazy, dark book! This book is NOT for everyone!

I know I am the exception of my friends but honestly this book didn’t touch me. This is the story of Naomi and Max and the Wicked Bride Games.

The blurb was really promising. I loved the idea of these games and I was looking forward to reading about them. The book is indeed twisted, dark and kinky and honestly I really don’t mind this type of books. I read quite a lot of dark romance/erotica and I really like them. My issue with this book is that I couldn’t connect to anyone. In my eyes, there was no victim and no balance in the plotline! The characters didn’t have any dimension and their actions didn’t make sense to me. I had no sympathy for none of the heroes in the story and it disturbed me. I love reading about evil when there is also good, I love reading about darkness when there is a bit of light. I didn’t find any of this in this book. On top of it, there was no moral in this story. It felt like a bunch of crazy people were doing some quite crazy/kinky/horrible stuff and then the end. It was like the author wanted to shock everyone who read this book for just the sake of it. Maybe there is something important in a much deeper level that I didn’t get it. Maybe it is just me after all.

This is my honest opinion and it shouldn’t prevent anyone to read this book if they love a dark, twisted, disturbing, violent, crazy book!

DNF - 51%

This is just so poorly written. It doesn’t make much sense. The plot is a good set up for dark romance, but it goes from dub-con to snuff fiction in less than 60 seconds. It’s like horror smut, but campy. Bad campy. I’m sure it’s for someone, but it’s not for me. So no rating.

Buyer beware if you don’t have KU.

When The Bachelor meets The Hunger Games...

description

Money? How far will you go to get it?

Officially bankrupt and with no way to pay her father's medical bills, Naomi Lee takes the mysterious Max Marino up on his offer of $50 million for three weeks of her as his property. Little did she know she was not the only one who was offered the same deal. And that with Max comes his brothers.

Three brothers. Nine girls. The ultimate prize: Marriage.

I had a hard time relating with the characters but the setting and plot were enough to keep me reading. Add in the writing style and I finished the book in one setting. Unputdownable.

But, while the story was incredibly entertaining, there were some aspects that were a little confusing and others that left me wanting more. The girls backgrounds... I wanted to know more about them. The same with the Marino brothers, something had to have happened to them to be that way, right? And then, the "thing" with Naomi's parents? Not clear enough for me.

description

Not sure if I wanted those two to end together but well... marriage was the prize.

With a wickedly twisted storyline, very erotic scenes and characters that will do any-fucking-thing to get what they want, Wicked Bride Games will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you love to read dark romances give Clarissa Wild a chance to fuck up with your head.

I'm so reading the next book. Hyun? Wife? I can't wait.

3.5 - yummy yummy tummy I got spunk in my tummy! - stars

What a ridiculously addictive book! So much you're supposed to hate and find gross that I'm apparently too desensitized to after all that smut reading I've been doing. It was like watching a crazy episode of GoT or Westworld but with more nasty sex and less plot.

This is a dark, dirty and depraved read. So many things that will not sit well with most people. Some will never enjoy a clam chowder again (if they even did before!) Ah yes, the infamous soup.. it was gross but it wasn't as bad as I feared, maybe cos I was prepared (thanks to my girl Eve for that!) or maybe I'm just not as easily shocked. Even the ATM moment was a 'shrug and an "eh"'-moment. In fact, I was more annoyed with the "wheel of fortune"- thing.

I enjoyed that Naomi was just as bad as the brothers, otherwise I probably wouldn't have enjoyed this one very much. I can already tell I'm prolly not gonna read Huyn's book, she seemed so meek and weak.

So why only 3.5 stars? It was just so unrealistic... I don't mean the sex games. But all the blood and gore was just made to disappear with a snap of the finger! I don't even get how all this was cleaned up without any repercussions. Apparently this family is so wealthy and influential they have the whole police force and every politician on their pay roll that they can just kill everyone and themselves without answering to anyone? Nahhh a bit too far fetched to me..

Dual POV. HEA ending (if you count office oral as a happpy ending?)

★4 Stars! Wicked Bride Games.. This is a Well written, dark, sick, twisted and very intriguing read!
“I want your pretty lips … your pink, flushed cheeks…those beautiful dark eyes that haunt me…that body I’d die for…that mind I’d kill for”

Five words.
Speechless.
Shocked.
Indifferent.
Indifferent
Indifferent!

Anyone that has read this book will understand why I feel the way I do...

This book is all about money, power, greed and who is left standing all way to the end.

The ending is the reason that I feel so indifferent..it was shocking, a little ruthless in my opinion and I didn't really expect it...
and I still don't know how I should feel. Ugh!

Max Marino - I really liked Max!
He was different from his brothers and I really loved his personality.
He admired, protected, and loved Naomi. You just knew, not from his words but actions, that he really would give her anything and everything in the world if it made her happy...and he did!
Which was a plus for me!

One thing I have to say is that Yes, there was major chemistry between Naomi and Max..but it was really unfortunate that the love was only one sided.

This book is very well written, intriguing, it keep you on the edge of your seat, has great character development and has a great, eye catching plot!
So..props to the author Clarissa!

Thank you for this unforgettable read!

Seriously, what the hell did I just read???? I have no idea on how to rate or review this one so I am going to sleep on it and see what the morning brings.

Ok, so I slept on it and I am still baffled...this book was so close to being a DNF for me but I pushed through and still I kept asking WTF? SERIOUSLY? OMG What????
Yes my heart was racing, my mind was on a constant loop of holy shit I cannot believe that just happened.

It has come time for Max, Anthony, and Devon (The Marino Brothers) to compete in a family tradition in order to find a bride so we have 9 women and the 3 men, the object of the "Bride Game" is to be the last woman to be standing with one of the men. This is Naomi Lee and Max Marino's story but we do get to know a bit of all the girls and both of the other men. For me it was a bit of Survivor meets the bachelor meets....pick the scariest, kinkiest, horror movie you've ever seen, and you have the "Wicked Bride Games."

EXCERPT
“Listen up, ladies,” Max says. “I know you must be confused, so let me explain what’s going to happen.”
I can feel the air thicken with angst.
It chokes me, even though it isn’t my fear I’m feeling. It’s the girls’ fear.
“Each of you signed a contract with one of us. You were picked because you are special. You are beautiful. You are smart. You are perfect. Which is exactly why we want you. Why you now belong to us. And it’s why we chose you for this game.”
“What game?” Camilla interrupts.
Anthony lifts his finger and places it on his lips, silencing her without saying a single word.
“Our game. To win it, you must compete against each other. You will earn fifty million dollars if you win our game. The rules are simple. Entertain us in whatever way necessary, and you will win.”
“How?” I ask bluntly, not giving a shit whether I’m allowed to ask questions.
Max bites his lip. I don’t know why I see it, but I do. “By doing everything we desire. Whether it be serving us, massaging us—”
“Or undressing for us,” Anthony adds.
Devon grins. “Or being fucked in any orifice.”
“What?” Jordan’s jaw drops.
“Do you mean …” Stacey mutters.
Asya, who’s standing beside me, grabs my hand and squeezes it tight. I want to shake her loose, but I know that’s not in my best interest now. It wouldn’t look good, and I will fucking look good if I have to fight these girls for the same prize.
“Yes, you heard that right,” Max muses, his eyes honing in on my face. “Sex. Anything goes. Anywhere. Any time. Any fucking thing that we want, you will do it.”
He takes a step into my direction, one foot ahead of the other as he broadens his shoulders, obviously trying to intimidate me.
“Do you want to get fifty million dollars? Earn it. Follow the rules.” I know he’s talking to all of the girls, but his eyes are on me. “Do not defy us. Do not deny us pleasure. Fail, and you will be eliminated, the contract nullified. That’s all. Any questions?”
Eliminated.
I wonder in what sense.
Stacey raises her hand, and Max signals her to speak. “What are the rules exactly?”
Max’s wicked smile somehow finds its way into my devious little heart. “You’ll find out soon enough.”

Je-sus!!!!

I have to be completely honest here and say that i didn't rate this one at first because i simply couldn't!
This looked like one of those wild books that you either love or hate !
I did neither! Or both!

While reading it i judged EVERY.SINGLE.THING. And every single character.
I did it with Max and with Naomi and with the girls. I don't even want to think of Max's brothers. Not yet, anyway.
But then i finished it. And then started the indecision. Because this was SO damn good!
The characters are very well developed and i loved how they kept their own purposes going even though at some point everything went to CrazyTown.

Naomi is what we should call plain and simple a very cold woman with a very determined mind and a really hard heart. It's not important what made her this way or what situation she's in. She knows what she wants and she is capable of doing anything to get where she needs to.
I don't know if i admire or hate how easily she can go from cold and indestructible to a woman who kinda loves a man, but doesn't exactly want to show it.
What i do know that i love about her is how she acted towards the other girls.
To the ones that she showed a bit of kindness and to the ones that she stepped over.

Arrogancy and wealth comes into the scene in the form of one Max Marino.
Cocky, confident and more than a little crazy he is one hot piece of a man! Even though he does enjoy the game they play, i liked that he knew from the begininng his ultimate goal. Have Naomi all for himself and not sharing her!!

“I don’t want them,” he interrupts, and he reaches for a strand of my hair and tucks it behind my ear. “I want you.”

Overall, i enjoyed the book and the fact that i had to wonder every other page what twisted thing will come in next!!!

This story is The Bachelor meets Hunger Games. It's like a game show for rich brothers to find their bride.

Three brothers Max, Devon and Anthony have nine girls completing for $50 million so to break it down the brothers want to fuck all nine girls to see who's worthy of these rich assholes.

A few things bothered me the amount of money was ridiculous. The girls didn't seriously think they would walk away with $50 million each did they.

Basically, these girls are to be their Sex slave, they are to do what ever they boys want.

The brothers do some really fucked up stuff like putting cum in their soup I almost gagged reading this. The brothers are psychotic you are reading this thinking what the fuck am I reading.

I know this is called Wicked but it bordered on ridiculous, stupid and just plain disgusting. We learn it's what their father did with his brothers orchestrated by their grandfather so it's a family thing. The only thing that saves this story for me is Naomi, she's kick ass, she was doing this for her parents to get them out of their financial stripe.

There's no romance, no wooing but the sickening act of these twisted fuck in the head brothers. Not sure who this book should appeal too and I do read dark romance but this goes way beyond that.

Wow just WOW! This is one completely twisted as hell story and to be honest I really liked it, like a lot. Granted I'd never want to be given this opportunity ever but damn what a read. So it starts with three rich brothers offering nine women the chance at winning 50 million dollars. They're told they need to obey and do whatever is asked of them by all three men for three weeks. IF they survive till the end they will have won. As the story goes along we find out more of the details that were left out in the beginning and things became more and more twisted. As much as everyone is part of the game we're more focused on Max & Naomi. She is set to win and will not accept defeat, the positive side of things is that there's an intense connection between these two above all the others. Max I guess you can say is the calmer more caring of the brothers, and truly seems to be falling for Naomi. This is not a hot and sexy story, this is a dark mind f*ck and will leave you with your jaw dropped in shock. This is my unbiased and voluntary review

✨✨✨✨✨5 “Sweet … delicious … power.” Stars✨✨✨✨✨

Clarissa Wild really stepped up her game with Wicked Bride Games and she NAILED it! As with any Clarissa Wild book, it was extremely well written, each character is clearly defined and the story flows just like watching a movie. In fact, this story should be made into a movie, it is that good! The women are catty and vicious, the men cruel and brutal.

Nine women, deceived into signing a contract that essentially gives their bodies and mind to a man for 21 days to do with what he wants and if she survives, the reward is $50 million dollars. Each woman has run into bad financial times and the lure of that much money is hard to pass up.

Naomi is out of options, losing her job and medical bills for her father piling up. When she receives a letter with an offer of a huge money payout, she has no qualms about taking it. But she soon discovers that the situation is not what she thought it was going to be. There are eight other women vying for the same thing and only three of them will be left at the end and they must marry one of the three brothers that hold their fate in their hands. Immediately, Naomi sees that sinister deeds can derail her plans to win the money.

Giving away your body to a man you don’t know can be quite risky, to put it mildly.

At least, I’ll have the money to wipe my tears away.

Max is the brother who catches her eye and he zeros in on Naomi immediately, despite his brothers wanting to play by ALL of the rules.

“Oh, don’t think of it as a prison. Think of it as a castle where all your darkest fantasies will come to life.”

“My darkest fantasies … or yours?”

One by one, the women are eliminated, and not just from the competition, literally and figuratively. Naomi sees her opportunity to win it all, and she goes to extreme measures to ensure that she gets what is rightfully hers!

I’m the one he wants … so that means I have all the power.

I play by the rules. I play to win.

The ending, and Naomi's eventual triumph over evil, was outstandingly written and yes, there is a HEA, sort of. Once again, this is a DARK, DARK story, so if that is not your thing, I would pass it up.

 photo HONEST REVIEW_zpsgdmy7tll.jpg

I have been waiting to read this book ever since I read the blurb, and all the teasers looked amazing and intriguing with a promising plot so my expectations were pretty high.

This wasn't my first book by Clarissa Wild and I really liked her previous work and I am no prude and shy for dark books by any means but...

This book....
It's contents...

It rubbed me the wrong way one time too many.
I wanted to DNF early on but kept thinking go on it might change its course...and it did
FOR THE WORSE!

There is just TOO MUCH violence and sick things here that make me wish I never read this book.
I have so much to say about this and I am trying my best to restrain myself.

This was not for me!
I wish I had the power to turn back time and never even think of it much less read it.

I personally wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
