I think that this book is a good. It draws a reader in right from the star. "Alice is so close. i can feel it"(Miller 1). The title on its own draws u in and gives a feeling that it's something about mystery.
Being that this is from a journal, there is a lot of inner thinking and its good because we get to see what the character is thinking and at some points feel how the character feels.
The book is just well written and interesting at times and makes you infer about whats going to happen next.

Watching Alice Book Review

"Watching Alice, Find the Miracle", by Daniel Parker and Lee Miller has a very interesting and shocking story to it. This book is about a word-for-word copy of a high school student, Tom Sinclair's journal in Manhattan, New York. Tom is looking for his missing girlfriend, Alice Brown, who vanished out of nowhere, so she is now missing. Tom has been keeping a journal and writing down everything he does everyday while his search continues for his girlfriend. The police suspects that he took Alice because he is hiding in a building. Tom doesn't leave the building at all unless he is going to meet someone to find information on Alice.
I liked a lot of things about this book. First of all, the fact that this story is true and happened in real life, the authors of this book decided to get the story out to a lot more people so they could learn from these kinds of situations. Also, the fact that Tom Sinclair was very dedicated to finding his girlfriend, Alice, shows how much he cares for the people he loves. Even though everyone suspected that he took Alice, Tom's dad knew the truth and believed Tom when he said that he was trying to find her. I liked everything about this book, it was a mystery and kept me reading it all the way through.
I would recommend this book to teenagers from ages fourteen and up. I think it would be best if teenagers read this book because it has some foul language since it is a journal type and is written by a high school student. The book also has some criminal activity going on in search of Alice Brown. Teenagers will relate more than anyone else to this book because it was written by a high school student's point of view and what he had to go through during this investigation. "Watching Alice, Find the Miracle", was one of my favorite books that I have read and it made me realize that if you think you have no one that cares for you, you actually don't know how much they really care.
