Such a powerful story! Kimberly's story is painful and healing all at the same time. Her perspective is so enlightening and encouraging. If she can live to tell this story in such an eloquent way, anyone can survive whatever trials life throws their way.

This is a book originally written for the author's children that tells the story of the worst times in her life and how she came through them. While setting up for a live TV report the remote truck's antenna mast struck overhead electrical lines and Kim Arms Shirk and her coworker were electrocuted, Kim so badly that she probably should have died. This book is the author's story of surviving that day and so many after that recovering from the devastating injuries in her own words. I'd rate this book 3.5 stars if Goodreads allowed half stars.

Anyone struggling with a challenge in life can find inspiration in this book. Kim's story is heart wrenching and powerful. There is a wonderful lesson in her words about finding the positive in life, even when it seems overwhelming. A must read!
