In a world of unlikely possibilities, Quinn and I ending up together was one in a million.
Considering just how much I loved Beautiful Liar, I was practically giddy to get another hit of Q & Lucky. I'm not typically a reader that enjoys follow-up novellas. Why mess with a good thing when the couple already got their HEA? But in the case here, I craved more of this couple. Their relationship was tumultuous, filled with lies and deceit. There was bound to be fallout even if things did fall into place for them at the end.
This novella was the perfect taste of this couple that I was craving. We find Quinn dealing with the fallout from seeing his plan through and finding revenge against his father. Having prepared himself to not make it past his 30th birthday, it's an adjustment for him to deal with his new reality. He traded in one obsession for another. Where before revenge fueled him, now it's his obsession in his love for Elyse.
Quinn and Elyse are just as incendiary together as ever. They practically burn up the pages. There's also an added suspense plot that's added to spice things up. Admittedly I thought it would go in a totally different direction than it did with what I now assume was a red herring the author threw out. While it served to drive the plot forward, I was slightly underwhelmed with the revelation.
But that barely registered on my radar in comparison to how much I was enjoying this book. And enjoy it I did. Wicked SOB was utterly delicious, sinfully erotic, and a page turned from cover to cover. If you haven't discovered this author yet, you're seriously missing out.

I finished this book in under a day.
I'm not sure what happened. I swear before I started, I promise myself that I would go slow and savor this book. But nope, obviously my greedy self was not able to stop myself from devouring this book.
I don't have much to say other than this book is made up of pure brilliance. In this book, I feel like readers get to know more about Quinn and his feelings. Which I appreciate as I have been wanting to know what is lurking in that handsome head of his.
I love that Ms. Cox decides to add a novella for these two as I am downright obsessed with them. I loved and totally enjoyed this short novella, although I wouldn't mind if you want to write another book (heck try a series) for these two. (wink wink Ms. Cox)
I give this book a 5 star, and if you know me, I'm stingy with my five star. The fact that I gave this book a 5 star rating, topped with the fact that I finished it in under a day is really saying something.
So if you haven't read this series yet, definitely do give them a try and waste no more time.

If you have read Zara's Beautiful Liar book, then this novella is a MUST READ. But if you HAVEN'T, what the fuck are you waiting for?
"Being with Elyse has taught me there are different levels of fear. Different levels of ecstasy. Different levels of love."
Zara Cox is one of my new go-to authors, I promise. I LOVE her words. I love her characters. Quinn & Lucky is a couple that deserves all the stars. I fell in love with them from the moment I met them in Beautiful Liar. Their chemistry was off the charts, you could feel their sizzling magnetism jumping off the pages. They owned me. So, to say I was excited to get more of them would be an understatement ♥.
Zara makes me swoon. She sparks incredible reactions in me. Just like her characters, she owned me.
Even though this was just a novella, it was solid. In addition to fighting against their own demons, the author added a splash of suspense, one that totally took me by surprise and had me in a cold sweat.
Wicked S.O.B. was the perfect ending for Q and his firecracker, I hope one of these days the author decides to give us more of them. Because more of Q & Lucky will never be enough. ♥

Wow, that was hot!
Well, what did I expect? Book 1 "I, Porn Star" aka "Beautiful Liar" was damn hot too!
This is a novella about our passionate couple Elyse and Quinn from Book 1.
Although it is called a novella, it is a long one with 145 pages. It starts where Book 1 has ended. Our couple is together but of course, after everything they have been through, life is not rainbows and sunshine for them. They have problems to overcome. They go to a therapist for the healing process.
Their addiction to each other and their obsessive love is just the same as in Book 1 -or maybe even stronger. There have been times when I thought that Quinn was batshit crazy but they are still a good match. She is the yin to his yang - they somehow fit.
Their relationship is still heavily based on sex. Their physical attraction and chemistry is still off the charts.
The book also has a little suspense part. Elyse has a stalker. As you may guess, our obsessive and uber-protective hero goes even crazier. Ha ha, that was fun to watch!

I normally don't like novellas and don't prefer to read them unless they are a follow-up of a novel I loved. That's why, I read this one and as far as novellas go, this is a good one.
Remember! You need to read this novella AFTER BOOK 1: I PORN STAR aka BEAUTIFUL LIAR. Without that book, this one means nothing.
You definitely don't need to read Book 2 before this novella which goes by the name Book 2,5 because Book 2 is totally about a different couple. You can just skip it.

A fantastic conclusion of Quinn and Elyse's story. Quinn is obsessed with Elyse. From the outside he is a successful billionaire but inside he is a broken man. He is in constant fear that he isn't good enough for Elyse.
Elyse is strong and how she handles Quinn is remarkable. She loves Quinn and he is her entire world. I liked her ability to help and convince Quinn. Their chemistry is undeniable, their love is pure and passionate. It was good to see how they both help each other. Their journey to their new life is tough because of their tragic past, but they have each other and they will overcome every obstacle together.
Elyse is strong and how she handles Quinn is remarkable. She loves Quinn and he is her entire world. I liked her ability to help and convince Quinn. Their chemistry is undeniable, their love is pure and passionate. It was good to see how they both help each other. Their journey to their new life is tough because of their tragic past, but they have each other and they will overcome every obstacle together.

This is more dirty, smutty goodness from Ms. Cox featuring Quinn and Elyse and ladies, I AM HERE FOR IT. All day, every day.
It’s directly tied to the first book, I, Porn Star, so I recommend reading that first. You do not need to read the second book in the series. There’s not a whole helluva lot of new plot going on and I would say it's more of a treat for lovers of Quinn and Elyse than introducing new readers to this series but I am good with that. Quinn’s still fucked up (and I liked that Ms. Cox delves into that a bit more), Elyse still loves his fucked up ass (and she has her own issues to deal with) and all the while, there is a bunch of hot sex going on. So, to recap - some fallout angst that doesn't mess with my couple's HEA plus some really great love scenes?
I would recommend it if you’re into erotic romances and if you read the first book.

It's been a while since I read my first book by Zara Cox. Back then I, Porn Star, which has since been renamed Beautiful Liar by the publisher, blew me away. It was just one of those books that will stick with you. So then I see a novella is coming out about Quinn and Elyse. Must. Have. This. Book. I got my copy of Wicked S.O.B. and attempt to prepare myself to step back into their world.
Quinn is his usual a$$hole-ness only this time it served with a rather large portion of possessive obsessiveness. Elyse is his world and you know how he can be. Typical toddler wanting a toy all to himself. His life has been full of wanting revenge for his mother's death and now he is just struggling, floundering, still thinking he doesn't deserve Elyse and expecting to lose her at a moment's notice. Elyse does an amazing job handling the craziness knowing it was going to be a hard fought battle. The two together are just as explosive as they were in their first book but this time around there is more of a fragile edge to Quinn.
ACK! So much I want to talk about but I don't dare because it's not in the blurb. So let me say this: expect to see a fragile side of Quinn, a revisit with former characters, a crazy twist, a lot of steamy sex, and a hot time with Q and Lucky that will have you wanting to read their first book all over again. I don't think I need to mention (but I will) if you haven't read the first book in the series, you absolutely can NOT read this book. There is way too much that has happened between Quinn/Q and Elyse/Lucky in their first book to even think about jumping ahead. Now for those of us who have and were left wanting more of their story, consider Wicked S.O.B. the icing on the cake!

Who needs sleep when you start (a bit late in the evening) a book that has you riveted right from the first page? The conclusion to Quinn and Elyse’s story completely sucked me in! This novella is the sequel to"Beautiful Liar" and is heartbreakingly beautiful, with a good dose of angst. The intensity of Quinn and Elyse's feelings is their strength, their chemistry is sizzling and radiates off the pages. But Quinn’s elaborate revenge scheme against those who orchestrated his mother’s suicide has taken a toll on him. For almost half his life, retribution had been his endgame and he thought he wouldn’t make it to his 30th birthday. Loving Elyse has changed everything.
He revels in Elyse’s love, their passion is all-consuming. She is his much needed rock, but he is afraid she is too good for him and refuses to drag her in his darkness. He's so messed up but he's trying his absolute best to be everything his girl needs him to be. I love how on the outside he's this larger-than-life billionaire tycoon but on the inside, he's just a man, broken and damaged, who wants to be loved, who wants hope. He is used to getting his own way, but he so afraid he will lose Elyse. He envies her strength, her selflessness and her compassion.
Elyse is a wonderful character, her love is unconditional. Quinn is her reason for living, her everything. But she knows that his self-destructing tendencies have to be dealt with. I really liked her strength of character, her ability to compromise and convince Quinn. The road to happiness may have been a bit bumpy for these two characters, but their happily-ever-after was utterly satisfying!
I’m in awe of Zara Cox, her stories and characters really get under my skin, so to say. I’m fascinated by complex characters and boy, did she deliver with Quinn Blackwood and Elyse Gilbert! And she sure does know how to turn up the heat! Highly recommended if you enjoy dark, steamy and romantic love stories that leave you breathless!

Ahem. Just me then. Lol!
Blunder aside, I didn’t need their backstory to pick up on how incredibly intense and urgent the romance between Quinn and Elyse was. Zara Cox’s storytelling is luckily for me wonderfully detailed, and she not only encompassed the all the information I was not privy too, but she also built on the story with enough style to draw me in in a seamless way.
Wicked S.O.B is the kind on novella that much like Quinn hits all the right spots. It was surprising emotional for such a sexy number, and had the right balance of drama to round it off nicely.
Although I found my appetite satiated by this novella, it’s whetted enough of it for me to go back and read the full length novel to experience its full flavour.

thank you for the continuation of the journey of Quinn and Elyse. I was so thrilled to see that this wasn’t just on their story as a couple but also on their individual growth as well.
Quinn we see grow the most in this novella. He still has so much rage and darkness inside him but at the end we see he is learning to come to terms with things and begin to move forward. This is due to Elyse and Dr. Freeman but also because he wants to be a better man and not let the darkness win. I love how he comes to realizations on his own and begins to question and ponder things. I also love how he does know that him and Elyse are stronger when they don’t keep things from each other and he does share with her even when it is hard for him. He is always there for Elyse even when he thinks he has failed he hasn’t but at the end of this novella I swooned over his actions and how he has grown.
elyse is still a strong character but doesn’t grow as much as quinn does here. Quinn begins the process of becoming free. Elyse is learning to trust the strength in Quinn and that he can handle things even when she feels it would be too much for him. she learns that she needs to be open even when it seems Quinn may not be able to handle more on his plate because it is when things are held back that hurts Quinn the most. They do get past all this due to their love and we see them go stronger and find peace within because of their love.
The story you give us is one of discovery, strength, acceptance, trust and love. Of faith in one another and finding a way to come to terms with things. We get danger, erotic moments and bonds grow. We see quinn fight his darkness and realize so much in this story.
Thank you for having Quinn start the healing and begin to accept things. To have quinn show us his strength and courage and see what needs to be done to heal and begin that process. Thank you for showing us love and how strong it makes us and how it cannot be broken even when we mess up.
A wonderful story of growth and love with danger thrown in to test this couple and show how they can grow and move past mistakes and become stronger and more resilient. How together they heal and begin to see nothing but light even when darkness surrounds them.

They do get past all this due to their love and we see them go stronger and find peace within because of their love.
The story you give us is one of discovery, strength, acceptance, trust and love. Of faith in one another and finding a way to come to terms with things. We get danger, erotic moments and bonds grow. We see quinn fight his darkness and realize so much in this story.
Thank you for having Quinn start the healing and begin to accept things. To have quinn show us his strength and courage and see what needs to be done to heal and begin that process. Thank you for showing us love and how strong it makes us and how it cannot be broken even when we mess up.
A wonderful story of growth and love with danger thrown in to test this couple and show how they can grow and move past mistakes and become stronger and more resilient. How together they heal and begin to see nothing but light even when darkness surrounds them.

Wow! I had no idea how much I had missed Elyse and Quinn until I found them again. They are one of those couples I just can't get enough of. We get to reconnect with not only Elyse and Quinn but also Lucky and Q. There are moments when we get to relive their past, as well as moments where they attempt to re-write it. Dangers from the past create new challenges, yet it also brings the opportunity for them to re-affirm their commitment to each other. With a character as dark and enigmatic as Quinn, the possibilities are endless when it comes to change and growth. Zara Cox breathed new life into him in this little novella and endeared him to me a little more. Beautifully written and packed with enough heat and intensity to fill an entire full-length book.

Quinn’s self-destructive mindset and his obsessive need to control and protect Elyse makes for a very strenuous relationship. I, Porn Star, now known as Beautiful Liar, was one of the few books that I rated six stars last year, it was just an outstanding read and I wholeheartedly loved it. So when I saw that we were going to get more of Quinn and Elyse in Wicked S.O.B., I was beyond excited to see them again! I'm always a little nervous to read books that take place after the couple has had their happily-ever-after, though, and this time was no exception, but once I started reading, my worries went away because it's so obvious how much Quinn and Elyse love each other that I knew they would do whatever it took to make it work. Wicked S.O.B. was utterly wonderful and I positively adored it!
I love Quinn and Elyse just as much as I did before. Elyse is still just as strong and even though Quinn could make life easier for her money and career-wise, she's determined to make her own way and be her own person. She's with Quinn because she loves him and she'd do anything to make sure he's okay. And Quinn, I just fell even more in love with him, but how could I not? He's so devoted to Elyse, there's no question that's she's his world and means everything to him. Quinn is dark and fierce and passionate, especially when it comes to Elyse and it's just impossible not to get caught up in him. Quinn and Elyse are fantastic together - I just completely love them.
Wicked S.O.B. is raw and gritty and full of love, fire, need, and obsession - but it in the best way. When I first started reading Wicked S.O.B., there were a lot of details from Beautiful Liar that I couldn't remember because it's been well over a year since I've read it, but the more I read on, the more the details and the way it made me feel came back to me. I think sometimes we'll read a book and it will be so incredible, but as time goes on and you pick up another book that's a follow-up or next in the series and you wonder if the way you felt was real or if you were just caught up in the moment. I can say without any doubt though from reading Wicked S.O.B. that my thoughts of Beautiful Liar were true because I absolutely loved Wicked S.O.B. I felt the magic of the words, of Quinn and Elyse, in particularly their love - it was just amazing and I enjoyed every minute of this book!
Wicked S.O.B. must be read after Beautiful Liar. It's told from Quinn and Elyse's POV, they are still living out their happily-ever-after, and the ending will leave you with a smile on your face!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Zara Cox has done it again! Wicked S.O.B holds nothing back, and there is no easing into it! From page one you are thrown into the dark crazy maze that is Quinn Blackwood's inner workings. The dark and hot beginning which sucks you in and doesn't let you put it down is just that, the beginning. The beginning of the amazing conclusion of Quinn and Elyse's story.
I am so happy to get more of Quinn and Elyse! And, though they didn't change, they did! And, I loved every second. This is a novella, but it didn't feel short or rushed at all. Not only did we get to see Quinn and Elyse grow and develop more, we got a great storyline to go with it. Wicked S.O.B. Is the perfect compliment to Black Sheep!

Wow, Quinn is seriously more messed up than I thought. The demons he cares around are tremendous. I imagined that once Elyse (Lucky) made her way back to them that things would go a bit smoother. True love takes work. The fierce passion that Quinn and Elyse have is palpable. You can feel it pulsating throughout the pages. I love that they are willing to work on getting better through therapy. It's not Quinn's ideal, but if it makes Elyse happy, all the better. Lots of mystery and intrigue has Elyse seeking to find who is after her, which adds to the feel of the book. I love a great love story which a side of suspense. It was a blessing to see how the book ended. With those two, you just never know how things will go. A fabulous read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I love this author and as always, I can't wait for more from her.

Wicked S.O.B. takes place a year later from the events of Beautiful Liar, where Quinn and Elyse meet and fell for one another. Now that their lives are on track and their personal vendettas and pornstar lives are over, Quinn and Elyse have time to do the things they wanted to do, and move on with their life as a couple. Well at least that what Elyse is trying to do. Quinn, without plotting his vengeance against his father, now seems to have too much free time and can’t seem to cope with a normal life. His anger and frustration seems to keep boiling up and when Elyse has to leave town for a weekend, he destroys their apartment. He just wants to keep Elyse safe and next to him, but when is someone truly safe with the life they had before still tries to pull them back?
I liked Wicked S.O.B., the novella lets us see into the future of the couple of the first book of this series, and how they try to create a life after what they went through in the Beautiful Liar. I think that this type of novella makes the reader remember that even after a Happy Ever After end, the characters still have a long way to go to happiness, and it might have bumps in the way that they need to work on.
Because this is a continuation to their first story, I do advise the readers to first read Beautiful Liar, as most of the story line talks about past events, and it can make it hard to follow along. But if you already read the previous books you will like this novella, some characters from the other books make some cameos and others are also mention.
I liked that the author made her characters build up the trust they have on each other and let them experience the consequences of not talking about their problems.
Like the other books in this series, Wicked S.O.B. has it’s sexy and erotic scenes, that are much as a living characters as the main characters are. Throughout the novella, we see Quinn and Elyse use sex as a type of outlet for the pen up energy that they have. To them it seems to work as a temporary solution while they work on their communication issues.
If you are a fan of Dark Desires series or of author Zara Cox, then I recommend you Wicked S.O.B. In this installment, we get to see the first couple of the series work to become a person for the other one, all while trying to stay safe from a mysterious figure who seems to be hunting them.

Esse livro 2.5 da série Dark Desires finaliza a história do casal Quinn/Q e Elyse/Lucky. Tive medo de iniciar a leitura e ficar de saco cheio deles, pois achei que no primeiro livro não ficaram muitas pontas soltas para eles, então pensei que não poderia ter nada de novo aqui. Ledo engano!
Claro, assim como naquele, Wicked S.O.B. é cheio das putaria (é o que mais tem em quase todos os capítulos), no entanto tudo é tão bem escrito e se encaixa tão bem com o casal que nem chega a incomodar - aliás, muito pelo contrário...
Aqui encontramos os personagens 1 ano depois dos acontecimentos de Beautiful Liar/I, Porn Star. Quinn ainda está desgraçado da cabeça e toda a sua vida é resumida em 1 coisa: amar Elyse. Ela, por outro lado, tenta iniciar uma vida normal ao lado do amado; inicia um curso, passa algum tempo com a irmã, luta por uma normalidade.
Achei muito legal que a autora mostrou que problemas como os de Quinn não terminam da noite pro dia e uma pessoa realmente precisa de tempo pra se adaptar a uma nova realidade - ainda que essa nova realidade seja melhor do que a qual ela estava acostumada. Por muitas vezes pensei que o Quinn estava sendo abusivo com Elyse ao exigir que ela ficasse com ele o tempo todo e desistisse de tudo por ele. Fiquei muito incomodada. Mas depois vi que era uma forma dele não enlouquecer na própria escuridão.

Eu não diria que essa é uma história romântica ou que esse casal é o ideal de um relacionamento, mas terminei o livro com bastante apreço por eles! Ambos se ajudaram a se recuperar e enfrentam de cabeça erguida os problemas a fim de ter um futuro melhor, mesmo que seja aos trancos e barrancos. É lindo de ver!
Recomendo demais pra quem curtiu bastante o casal no primeiro livro e quer matar a saudade. Eu achei uma delícia!

So, first thought is, I really should have read the first book in the series. Not because I was lost in this story, but because it sounds so wickedly interesting.
There are so many layers to the relationship that just get touched on in this novella. These layers made Quinn and Elyse intriguing and had me caring for them. There is a little action and mystery in this story too, revolving around Elyse and a stalker. One of the things I liked about this story was there going to counseling to get over issues...i thought it added a nice touch of realism. The story is super hot and has lots of intimate scenes, that are well-done.
Great short story for this couple to tide readers over until the next book.

Zara Cox is one of my new go-to authors, I promise. I don't know where she's been all my life. It's been a couple of months since I first read Beautiful Liar and I fell in love with Quinn and Elyse.
In Wicked S.O.B. Zara Cox does not disappoint. I thought that after Beautiful Liar, Quinn and Elyse's story would've ended. It really did, and I wouldn't have imagined a sequel would be needed because the end of the previous book was satisfying. But, gosh, Zara Cox did such a fabulous spin with this sequel that I couldn't get enough of them.
Quinn and Elyse are flawed, pretty fucked up characters trying to create a new way of life for them after the terrible things they've lived. I'd say this sequel gives the reader a deeper look into their lives and how they're coping after the mess from a year ago.
Quinn struggles more than Elyse in getting used to their new reality, and accepting life can be good and that he can actually enjoy it only if he lets himself try. His struggle is real, his possessiveness of Elyse is just as strong as the love he feels for her. I love how alpha he is at the same time he's a teddy bear. Though it seems he's got all the power over Elyse, it really is Elyse who has all the power over him. I just love, love, love their dynamic in and out of the bedroom.

Quinn and Elyse will have you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, angst, and darkness and for me I loved each and every second of it. Quinn’s love for Elyse really rides that fine line of love and obsession but for me I loved it, I know some people may be bothered but I wasn’t. If you read I, Porn Star than you are familiar with these characters, their story and their past and why they are the way they are. I am glad we got more of these characters; I wanted more when I had finished reading and this just satisfied my craving.
Wicked S.O.B. is a book I can easily recommend and Ms. Cox is an author that I plan on continuing to read more from in the future.

It is no secret that I love dark, suspenseful romances, there is just something about that type of book that completely enthralls me when I begin to read. Wicked S.O.B. is one I plan to not only highly recommend but one that will be read again soon. 4 stars for - Wicked S.O.B. - a novella in the Dark Desires series all about Quinn and Elyse. This one must be read after the first book in the series - I, Porn Star - which introduces us to this flawed, but loving couple. When we last left Quinn and Elyse they had just come through very traumatic and life changing events and now a year later we are getting a better understanding on how their ordeals affected them.
Quinn has no idea what to do with himself now that his vendetta is over so his tendency to obsess over things starts to overshadow his relationship with Elyse. Loving Elyse is one thing, but when he starts to freak out over even little things she gets worried about his overall wellbeing. Elyse hopes Quinn will realize he can't make their relationship into his next obsession or they are doomed to fail.
Loved this intimate look at what happened next with Quinn and Elyse. I enjoyed watching them both try to navigate everyday life all while loving and learning to adapt to their partner. I hope to see more of these two in the future, not only are they quite charming, but rather fiery too!

Quinn Blackwood has it all...he's a billionaire, sexy as sin, penthouses all over New York City, obsessive devoted to Elyse, and obsessed with revenge on his father and step-mother for his mothers death. Oh and he's an ex-porn star named Q.
Elyse Gilbert is the subject of Quinn's every carnal desire; he saved her from her father who was pimping her out. Now she wants for nothing. Elyse is a beauty who wants nothing more than to attend her real estate classes and make Quinn happy, but Elyse thinks she is being stalked and is afraid to reveal this to Quinn for fear it will destroy them.
Ms. Cox pulls you in with steamy, hot sex from the first chapter and never let's her hold of you go until the very end. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough! My heart is pumping for more from Ms. Cox in her Wicked Desires series!

Holy smokes what a story! If you haven't read Porn Star then you need to stop! Go read it and then come read this one! It's a novella but oh boy does it pack a punch!
This story is a continuation of Porn Star with our main characters Elyse and Quinn (Lucky and Q). Quinn is rich, hot and an a**hole! He's mean to everyone he meets and only one person can bring him to his knees and that's Elyse. He is obsessed with her! She left for a couple of days and he went into a rage and destroyed their home. Even though he is getting profession help to "fix" him, obviously, he needs more work. But, once Elyse comes home, all is right with his world. Although he doesn't deserve her (his belief), he's selfish and she is his. But, what happens when Elyse is keeping a secret from him that could potentially cost her her life? Can he save her? He's already unstable, will this push him over the edge?
Great hot story! Absolutely loved Quinn and all his alpha hot maleness!!
