Dakikalar içinde serisinin okuduğum ikinci kitabı “Din” oldu. Bu seriyi cidden sevdim. Derli toplu çok dağılmadan hap bilgiler sayesinde hem hafızanız canlanıyor hem de genel bir bakışa sahip oluyorsunuz. Derinleşmek istemediğiniz konularda fikir sahibi olmak ya da iyi bildiğiniz alanları bir özetle hatırlamak için okunabilir.
Dakikalae içinde Din özellikle bilmediğim ve aslında çok da merak etmediğim Hristiyanlık mezheplerinin doğuşu açısından bana yeni bilgiler kazandırdı. Bütüncül olarak dinlerin kökenini mitolojiden başlayarak anlatan bu kitap elbette detaylar için hiç yeterli değil. Ama bir kılavuzluk oluşturması açısından okunabilir.

2.5/3. I’ll admit that tackling all of religion “in minutes” is a heavy task and that this book does that. It just doesn’t do it well. Each page stands alone which, I suppose, gives it the “in minutes” aspect. However, they don’t connect well and are often repetitive—which is an especially detrimental characteristic when a short book tries to cover so much. The entire book felt like a slideshow thrown together by a high school student who copied and pasted fragments from Wikipedia. Pictures don’t line up with what the text is saying. There is inconsistency is what is reported on each religion and on what types of things get more in-depth definitions and which are mentioned without context. I was excited about this book and hoped it would give me a broad overview of world religions, which it did. I think it would serve better as a refresher for someone with previous knowledge.

I was attracted to this book by the title, I didn't care for the size and design of the book. i'm a man with large shaky hands making the handling of the book a bit awkward. Looking past the design, I really enjoyed the book. It's a great intro to the various religions. It helped me to decide which ones I want to read more about. In terms of content, I liked the layout and organization. Images helped me better understand some of the foreign names and titles. I recommend the book to any searchers and have added it to my reference shelf.

This book was a bit of a chore to get through - it's dry and not exactly an easy digest

It's very repetitive on some points, isn't consistant on what information it gives on each religion, doesn't include some basic information on the religions (such as burial traditions) and generally gives an oddly structured vague overview of most religions (randomly leaving out some of the older belief systems and not offering the same amount of each of the 'major' religions).

The repetitive sections where the biggest disappointment, given it is a 'small' book with limited space to cover what it's aiming to cover.
