As if this book wasn't confusing enough, they pull the ghost out of the machine for the ending.

So the second volume is just as crazy as the first however by the time they try to explain all the crazy tons of holes in the logic start springing up. It’s still got great art and fun action but by the end you’re left with a “oh ok, I guess” kind of reaction. It’s a fun read if you like any of the obscure characters they use but it’s not a book I need to reread.

Fun romp, where a bunch of soldiers and warriors, mostly from DC's war and historical adventure books are pitted against each other by mysterious forces, on an island full of dinosaurs.

Jones has some trouble juggling the big cast and the explanation is a bit shaky, but a fun read.

Reminds me a bit of Farmers' Riverworld series.

So I did like this books story. The downfall is that I had forgotten so much from the first volume that I was definitely a little bit confused about what was going on. While the story did have a definitive ending, I would have liked to have seen a little bit of the future and whether the main character kept having adventures there.

Um argumento doido que, de tão delirante, encontrou variáveis demais para uma boa fluência do enredo. Para o desenvolvimento satisfatório, 144 páginas se mostraram insuficientes, e talvez precisasse de muitos mais roteiristas para dar conta do recado. This was pain to read. I think I am too old for lame story about putting heroes from various sources in to the island in sort of experimental battle against unknown evil. Bleh never again.
I picked it up only because Hans von Hammer was in it.

The second volume has some nice artwork by Graham Nolan and Scott Kolins, but it isn't enough to obscure the poor writing.
