This short story kept my interest from the very beginning. I felt so sorry for Suzanna, the main character. She was accused of a crime she did not commit. With the exception of her family, so many people believed that she killed this jerk who had bullied her all her life. The only thing that made it easier watching this poor woman struggle to clear her name was the fact that it did not last long since it is a short story. Fortunately, the story also ended in a satisfactory manner, with those who needed to getting their just desserts.

Suzanne is about to fulfill her life-long dream and open a cozy tearoom. The one thing standing in her way is that she is the prime suspect in the murder of her long-time nemesis, Joel. He’s been the bane of her existence for just about her entire life. Starting out harmlessly as young children, his torture of her continued to grow as they made their way through school and now this. It’s been reported that he was last seen at the river and Suzanne was pushing him in.
Now Suzanne, with the help of her mother, and the old ladies of the town’s gossip network they will find out what really happened to Joel.
I admit, I suspected the outcome from the very beginning, but the clever writing threw a few extra suspects in the line of sight, momentarily making me question whether or not I was right. Thank you for that 
