Jacob had been waiting a long time to be matched to a rejected soul so he could break his curse and become a full angel. Camille is everything he’d been looking for in a mate—she has a good heart and she’s extremely brave. Running against time, they have thirty days to fall in love or he will turn into stone, forever.

Anna Santos is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes to write about shifters, vampires, angels, mermaids, fae, and occasionally humans.

Anna always keeps her readers on their toes with adrenaline-fuelled adventures, genuine characters, strong female leads, and romantic plots.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or spending too watching TV shows. As an introvert, home is her safe harbor. Yet, she’s known for leaving the house from time to time and having her family throw a party because they haven’t seen her for days. Then they ask her how many books she wrote while gone, assuming that writing must be super easy.

Anna guarantees that it’s not, but she never wanted to be anything else. Unless there’s a possibility of being a powerful supernatural being in an awesome world where unicorns and fairies are real. Then, she would probably go there and never come back.

He rejected her as his mate and now Camille is on the run for her life and her very soul as her brutal and abusive alpha leader is determined to end her life. Following the words of her brother, she escapes to Paris where she can only hope that she will be protected by the mythical guardians of the city and the legends of the angels. What she finds is the mate of her dreams, a creature who is cursed to his form until he finds his true love in the rejected soul of another.

There is suspense, tender moments, and moments of greatness in the face of adversity in this fantasy romance.

SAVE ME by Anna Santos is a tale of second chances, of true love and of the changes it can bring to tormented hearts. It is the story of one timid soul who will learn to stand strong and become a savior herself. An endearing and sweet love story unfolds amidst the evil of the world, proving once again that love conquers all.

I received this copy from Anna Santos in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a quick read and one which I enjoyed. There many supernatural beings and a curse which needs to be broken within a time limit.

I also liked how it hinted at what we can expect in the next book.

I absolutely adored this book!!! It is an addictive, fast paced thriller of a read, it really does keep you hooked from the first page, you compulsively find yourself turning the pages just to find out what is going to happen next.
This is a brilliant, well defined, well thought out storyline that will have you hooked from the first sentence, i really cant rate this book highly enough and that is partially down to the storyline and partially down to not only the charachters but their thoughts and emotions and the fact you seem to live this with them, feeling it alongside them. I loved how action packed this story is, it is a shorter book but it doesnt seem that way with how it has been written, it is full bodied and full of hope of a possible future, you can see this book is written with love and i loved that about this book.
I loved Jacobs character, he is just so caring and protective, his love shining out for all to see, he has an aura of strength and passion for those that he cares about. The other character i loved reading about was the prince, there is something so compelling about his character. Camille is a strong woman although she doesnt realise or accept it and i loved how through the book, you see her growing as a person and her confidence in herself just keeps on rising!
I cant wait to find out what happens next in this series!!! This is a serious must read, you will not regret reading this its brilliant!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

I am really glad I took the time to read this book. Despite their being no cliff hanger I didn't want to leave this world.

If you like a good book about Angels and romance with some Gargoyles and werewolves thrown in then don't hesitate to read this book.

Saved by a pack of rouge werewolves Camille is brought into a much better life that she never thought to expect. She even has love on her side. What more could she want? Well one more thing to make sure her brother is safe from the horrible Alpha that rules the rouge werewolves. She can only hope that she can save herself, her mate, and her brother in time.

This book was very well written. I think it is amazing how an author can come up with such a beautiful and complex story that is not only paranormal, but very realistic at the same time.

There was enough detail to the characters that I could picture them clearly in my mind and will myself to become a part of them. I loved being able to connect with the characters on such a high level. This made it very hard to stop thinking about the book when I didn't have time to read. Therefore when I finally got to pick the book back up I was extremely happy to live out the rest of the book. Knowing that there is a book two coming makes me even happier, however I hope I don't have to wait to long to read it.

Save Me, written by Anna Santos, is a very well-written and exciting story! Camille’s story grabbed my attention at the beginning. When Jacob was added to the story, I was totally hooked. I found this so very hard to put down for the night. It kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next!! The characters were believable, the dangers were very realistic and the suspense in this story kept me right on the edge of my seat!! There were a few times where I worried about how the characters would get out of the situation that they were in and was very pleasantly surprised that my favorites survived, again!! This is an exciting story to read and I highly recommend this!!

Save me is another example why I love reading anything by Anna Santos. Anna has again introduced us to a new world and a whole host of different characters that draw us in and keep us intrigued until the very last word and even then hoping for more. This story focuses on the tragic tale of Camille and her second chance mate Jacob. Jacob has been waiting for what seems like a lifetime for her and loves her from the moment he sees her. Camille is scared, abused and terrified to loved again. Will Jacob help Camille heal? Read and find out, you won’t regret it!!!

Save Me by Anna Santos book one in her Angels of Paris Chronicles. In this book we are introduced to Camille. She’s a werewolf but she has been rejected by the ruthless and abusive Alpha of the Shadow Pack. With the help of her brother, Camille is able to escape from him and run to Paris. Her brother has told her to find the angels that they will help keep her safe. Men from the pack track her down with the intent of taking her back but she is found and rescued first. Jacob is bound by a curse, but when he meets Camille he feels that she is his mate. She could break his curse if she falls in love with him within 30 days. She’s fragile from the abuse that she has suffered at the hands of Simon but she finds herself truly coming to care for Jacob. Danger comes knocking when Simon shows himself to be completely unstable. He wants Camille back and he will do whatever he can to do so. He has her brother, but for how long before he decides to kill him like others he’s gone after? A plan must be set in place if Camille and Jacob are going to make it out of this alive. Because not only must Camille save her brother, she must save those abducted by Simon and fall totally in love with Jacob or risk losing it all.
Save Me hits the ground running right from the beginning. Camille is on the run and I immediately engaged. This story moves at a steady pace and flows quickly as time is of the essence. Normally I complain about when romance is sped up and characters just suddenly love each other, but I like how the author works this story. Camille grows to care for Jacob as he teaches her and shows her that he is a gentle heart but strong when he must be. I really like that while it appears that there is no rush that there is a push when necessary and that it happens at just the right moments. I have to say that I really enjoy the uniqueness of this story.
Save Me is the first book by Anna Santos that I have read. As the prequel to Captive this book sets things up really well for the next novel in my opinion. I am basing this off of the cover for Captive and some hints that we are given in Save Me. There is danger, romance and quite a few surprises in this story. I really enjoyed it and there was honestly nothing that I didn’t like about this book.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed this book start to finish. I love the surprises and twists that the author wrote into this book. This is a book that I definitely recommend to anyone who likes novels with vampires, werewolves, gargoyles and angels. This is really an engaging novel and one that I’m sure many will enjoy. I can’t wait to start the next book in this series.

I got an ARC of this book and from the time i read the first page i was drawn into the story woven so masterfully by Anna Santos. Camille's story touched my heart and Jacob simply stole it away.

A powerful story with powerful couples, and twists to keep it interesting. I recommend this book with no regrets i can hardly wait to read the next book and the rest of the series for that matter.

I want to thank Anna Santos for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. And sorry for taking so long to finish it and write this review!

I can't believe it took me a month to get into this book when it only has 150 pages. I'm not sure if I should blame the reading slump that's been bothering me for a year, or the fact that the first few chapters were a bit confusing and I couldn't make sense of a few things.

The story was good. The plot is entertaining and it caught me once I got into it. Also, stories that revolve around angels are my favorites.

The characters were okay.
I wish Camille was more of a badass heroine. I really wanted to see her fighting against her former pack, and kicking some asses. However, I understand that she didn't have much time to prepare and learn everything she needed to learn to be the heroine I expected her to be.
Jacob was really cute. I loved how protective and thoughtful she was, after all she's gone through. And their relationship, despite it being rushed for obvious reasons, was really cute and I really enjoyed their scenes together.

The only thing that really bothered me about the story was that we don't get much information about how their world works. I mean, why is it that everyone gets a mate, and if they're rejected, they get another one? How did they get to that? Why is there an arrangement with vampires? What's the relationship between vampires, wolves, angels, spectors, etc.? Those are a few of the questions I asked myself while reading Save Me. And to be honest, not knowing the answer to the first one almost made me close the book and forget about it, cause I thought it wouldn't be that good. I'll explain myself better, but I'll hide it just in case I spoil it for someone else ->

So, all in all, the story is good. I enjoyed it. I would've given it one more star if it wasn't for that "missing information" I needed.

P.S.: This might sound a bit contradicting, but I can't wait to read Captive! I only got to read the first chapter, but I didn't need much more to know it'd be so much better. I was left wanting more. Even if we didn't see him much throughout the story, Cedric was probably my favorite character from Save Me, and I really want to know more about him and what happens with Aria.

This is the first time I have read a book by this author and was very pleasantly surprised at how well the book was written, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is: drama, intrigue, suspense, action, angels, gargoyles, warriors, werewolves, spectors/necromancers, the king of vampires, the king of gargoyles, a second chance mate, bonding tattoos, protectiveness, caring, attacks on peaceful packs, concerns, hostages, cannibalistic behavior, carnage, torture, an exchange, abduction, a chase, trapped, saved, attacks on van, saved by angels, a proposal, a trial, fully mated angels, emotional feelings and love. The story-line and plot is well thought out and is exceptionally well written. The characters are well developed with personalities and have feelings of fear, needs and desires. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a good entertaining gargoyle/angel romance with a HEA, you will not be disappointed.

Save Me is a paranormal book that deals with the idea of fated mates and the possibility if having more than one fated mate. This particular book centers around Camille. Camille is rejected by her fated mate who is a terrible person and tortures her. While trying to escape she is rescued by a group of gargoyles. As she is rejected by her fated mate Jacob (one of her rescuing gargoyles) becomes her fated mate.
But alas not all is simple. Camille has a psychopathic original mate who just can't let her go. And gargoyles become angels after meeting their mate and passing a test.
I loved how the author portrayed Camille. She has gone through a lot and did not have many people on her side yet you can see she is a strong individual. I also loved how patient and caring Jacob was. How he never pushed Camille. He was a total sweetheart that girls would swoon over. I look forward to reading more in the Angels of Paris Chronicles.

I've been following Anna Santos since Wattpad, and I have always loved her writing.

In this book we find out a bit of backstory for captive. It takes about how Camille and Jacob had met.
Jacob in this story was a very understanding mate for Camille and had the patience to wait for her to come to him. While Camille has to learn to trust another, and believe in their love for her. She needs to find herself able to love someone after her first soulmate rejected her.

In the meantime Simon, Camille's first mate, is starting up a ruckus that may bring trouble to those residing in Paris. The supernatural elements will need to band together in order to face this new threat.

I enjoyed this book and anyone who has read her work before wouldn't want to miss this book.

This is my first book from Anna Santos.
I kept reading until i got till the end! I read it within one day - for me not usual.
I used to read this kind of books a lot, but this one was so fresh in concept with mates (more in book); the motive with angels and gargoyles got my heart.

The relationship between Cami and Jacob was true and there were emotions and behaviors not artificial about her attitude for Jacob after what had happened to her.

This book has what good book needs :)
This is: good and interesting characters; other characters not only as background with more than one dimension plot with fresh things and for sure good and memorable writing!

Anna this series is going to be one of my favorites!

A heartbreakingly beautiful novel!

Wow - I'm so happy for Cami! After being abused and mistreated she deserves all the love, happiness, loyalty and protection and she finds all that and more in her soulmate. Such a sweet, touching romance!

A curse to break, a mate to save - just this tag line got me hooked! Also, warriors that protect innocent humans and other supernaturals from the baddies. Everyone should definitely give this novel a try!

Full of different types of supernatural creatures, love, second chances and is packed with action - you should definitely read this fast paced novel!

Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely despise the concept with which the book started - the whole mate rejection bull but she (the author) did it again. Another awesome read from Anna. I m glad I managed to contain my initial dislike of it because I would of missed an superb and thrilling read. I went through an emotional roller coaster of hate/love, annoyance, anger, excitement, just wanting to know faster what happens next I was close to "biting my fingernails", i was hooked and that's that. I recommend it wholeheartedly to any Pa-R reader and to those that want to try something new and interesting.

Amazing is what comes to mind. I am not one to hand out 5 star reviews but this is worth it. A well written beautiful love story like what we are used to from this writer with a wonderful twist for those rejected from the soul mate bonding. I love me a good story about Angels and this one delivered. Jacob was patient and kind and supportive as Camille struggled thru her trust issues and in the meantime we have action upon action and other good stuff going on. A great well written story excellently executed. Well done.

Camille is a rejected soul and on the run for her life from her evil old pack lead by Alpha Simon. She is saved by Jacob, a gargoyle/angel (& her second chance mate) in Paris. She has been abused and Alpha Simon is hunting her. Jacob will protect her, but can she learn to trust again? Can they save each other? I really enjoyed this story! I would have given it 5 stars, but it had a couple areas where the flow felt choppy. Disclosure: I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this story.

this sounds awesome I cannot wait to be able to read the whole thing I love and his books I love her writing style it's just quality and it keeps you guessing till the very end and that's one of the best things about it if you can already figured out in the first couple of chapters it's not worth reading but that's not the case with Anna she keeps his jumping and never know what's going to happen next

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read from Anna Santos. I love her use of description. She painted a beautiful story as well as the setting and characters. She gave just enough information about each character as needed. It was definitely a very well written story, plus it had vampires, werewolves, angels and gargoyles. What is not to love about that?! I look forward to reading more of her works.

I found Anna Santos on wattpad so I became one of her beta readers. The book was so interesting and intriguing that I actually finished both parts in 3 hours or less. You really get to see their relationship grow and see that Jacob's sweet and understanding personality that wins Camille's heart. The end really sent me for a whirl because I was so close to balling my eyes out.

2.5 - This was very hard to finish. If it had been longer I would have DNF'd it and I don't usually do that. IMHO the premise, writing, characters and dialog seemto be immature. I found myself cringing frequently. This is book 4 and I had not read the other 3, but I doubt I will at this point. Though since this has mostly high ratings, it may be me. 😬
