There are times when things are set in motion; there is no stopping the landslide sure to follow. A woman always hopes one day to fall in love, to live the, happily ever after dream. Sometimes though, dreams go haywire when you fall in love with the wrong man. My name is Andrea Cody, and I own the events my actions brought about within my life. When I fled Los Angeles, California to Dallas, Texas, after losing my partner in a sting gone horribly wrong, I had no idea what a shit-ball it was about to create when I found myself falling for a married man I shouldn’t want, my team leader. A Harley driving, wicked-smile wielding, melt your panties morsel, I wanted badly to lick like an all-day lollipop!
Hi, my name is L.R. Wimberly (I previously wrote under the pen name Renea Taylor), and I'm an Author of Adult Romance. I was born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, where I found a love for words at a young age. I'm an avid rock collector, love the sun (I get temperamental and whiny when it's raining). I'm a coffeeholic (long ago replaced my blood with the stuff) and love German Chocolate cake and Banana pudding (yeah, I have a sweet-tooth). I have an awesomely wonderful husband and five adult children. Two sons who are wonderful young men, (mama couldn't be prouder) and are volunteer firefighters in a small town in rural Oklahoma, as well as work their butts off at full-time jobs. Three daughters. #1, is a courageous, caring, loving person, and is finding her way in this big old world, #2 does her thing and goes her own way, and #3 is employed full-time, going to school to become a nurse, and is working at being an author in her spare time. I have 10 grandchildren (God do I feel old) that I love very much and would love to see more of. Well, I guess that's about all as that pretty much sums up all there is to know about this author! ;-)
Beyond Right or Wrong has it all, I absolutely loved it.
Beyond Right or Wrong By Renea Taylor was a great 5 + star read. This story has it all and you don't have to wait until the next book to see how it ends. mystery, suspense, murder, hot alphas, hot sex, HEA
Andrea has moved to Texas to get away from tragic memories in Los Angeles. She is working as a field agent for the FBI and her team lead Clint Romero has been treating her horribly the past few weeks. Her team is also noticing the treatment. When Clint pulls a surprise visit on Andrea at her home they have quite the encounter which leaves Andrea realizing that she isn't the only one that feels attraction between them.
I'd fallen in love with a man who I'd just learned loved me back, but whom I couldn't have
Clint is fighting his attraction to Andrea which is causing his grumpiness. He is married and shouldn't be feeling these things for another woman but he just can't get Andrea out of his mind. There is something about her that he is drawn to.
There is so much more I would love to share but you really need to discover this all for yourself. I highly suggest you 1-click and get started on Beyond right or wrong today. Once I started I couldn't put it down. I had to see what was going to happen next. There are a few twists and turns that will leave your head spinning and thinking WTH. Renea really pulls you in with her writing, you feel every emotion right along with Andrea and Clint. There are definitely some very hot scenes (my favorite was the swimming pool scene). There is cheating however all events in this book are a reality for some, don't judge. And the HEA definitely does not come easy by no means. This is definitely going on my top reads of 2016 list.
Thank you Renea Taylor for a great 5-star read and I look forward to reading more from the series.
His lips devoured mine in bone melting possession. His breathing growing heavy and labored. Matching that of my own. Tiny pinpricks of wanton need flushed throughout my system. And as the yearning core of my need started to nearly drip with desire. I began whimpering. Aching to be touched.
From the first page this book grips you and doesn’t let go. Beyond Right or Wrong has a little bit of everything. From the hot alpha male to the kick ass heroine, suspense, murder, mystery, romance and a lot of hot sexy scenes. We first meet Andrea Cody. She seems to be a little bit of a loner yet tough as nails. It seems as if death surrounds her; she watched her father die a horrible death at the age of thirteen, her Mother forgot about her soon after that, and recently the death of her partner Shane Kennedy had her moving away from the gangs of L.A. to Dallas, Texas. Her moving is supposed to bring her peace and instead in brings her into the arms of Clint. Clint Romero is six foot four of pure muscle and undeniably sexy as sin. When we first meet Clint he’s powerful and rough. There’s something going on with his feelings for Andrea that he’s fighting against. At first he's kind of mean and wants to deliberately hurt her, but as he opens up to her he shows a quiet wanting and yearning for her that is intense to say the least. The first time we meet this couple they are literally beating the crap out of each other- well Andrea is doing most of the beating anyway. This is due to the fact that Clint, her team leader, has been treating her badly for the last month. The answer she waits from him leads to giving in to a forbidden desire that neither one of them should even think about. Especially being that Clint is married, he’s her team leader, and they could get suspended over it...did I mention he’s married. At first, I wasn’t sure about the whole cheating thing. It’s not like Tami was a horrible person, but she’s definitely not a nice person. But the author took the time to show what can pull a couple apart and although Clint had feelings for Andrea he fought them and knew they were wrong and tried to respect his vows. But their pull was definitely stronger. These two are definitely meant to be and it’s more than sexual urges that drives them together. There's also a really dark murder mystery amidst all the sexual tension. I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to more of Renea Taylor’s books.
Andrea experienced a horrific crime when she was a child, and that has impacted her life. Now, she’s an FBI agent, and a great one at that. Her life is beginning to come together. There is just one problem. Her team leader, Clint. He is becoming grouchy and seems to be picking on her. But there is also a growing chemistry between them. This is frowned upon because he is her boss. But there is another reason, too. He’s married! What I loved the most was that the main leads were not perfect, they were flawed. They didn’t make sensible decisions. They led with their hearts. And in some situations my heart really broke for them, and I wanted them to find a way to be together. Being that the female lead is actively going after a married man, I imagine that some people won’t like that, and not want to pick this book up for that reason alone. That is a shame, because once I opened this, I didn’t finish until I read the whole thing. I really enjoyed the writing style, it flowed beautifully. The reason this is a 4 and not a 5 was because I would have liked Andrea to have internally voiced her remorse on chasing Clint, just a little bit more. Also, at points I wanted to bang Clint and Andrea’s heads together and make then talk, really talk. But saying that, I loved this book. I would read more by this author, too.
Here’s the hard part about the book: it’s essentially a love story woven together as a cheating story. Clint’s married, but falls for Andrea. In order to mask his feelings, he treats her like crap. Despite all that, the two eventually winnow their way together, blowing off Clint’s failing marriage. Interwoven into that plot is a subplot about a serial killer – which was interesting in its own right. Actually, I’d like to see Mrs. Taylor try her hand at writing a straight-up murder mystery.
There are some typos here and there and some stylistic choices that I wouldn’t have done, but it was a good story. If you’re into erotic romance, this is an entertaining book.
I RECEIVED A PDF COPY OF THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW I like the story line it had some drama/Suspense and Really? Moments. I was a bit surprised that there wasn’t any background information about Andrea and how she felt about losing her previous partner, how she received this position now, or her best friend Penny. The first couple of chapters didn’t have a lot of communication between Andrea and Clint it was hard to connect without the background. I wanted to feel more emotion and feeling. No the affair in this book did not bother me I think we all have had a relationship or two that wasn’t connecting on any level. This is the Authors first book and I will be getting more of her books. Keep up the good work!
I thought this was going to be a hard read because of the cheating issues but that was not the case. This was a well written;well thought out story about two people who have strong feelings for each other and tried to put their professional persona forward. Clint loved Andrea. He didn't know what love was with Tami. That marriage was a sense of obligation only. Clint and Andrea has chemistry together. Andrea tried to take herself out of the equation several times especially when Tami threatened to take everything away from Clint. The story had an underline with a serial killer on the loose.
I enjoyed the read. I felt for Andrea because you can't help who you fall in love with. I will read more from this author. Can't wait for the next in this series!!
Beyond right or wrong by Renea Taylor was a great book! Some people frown about book that deal with "cheating" - However, it happens, and these feelings really do happen to people. Renea did an AMAZING job on this story-line.
Andrea Cody is a straight up bad-ass alpha female, that sometimes I wanted to hate, however, I wasn't able to hate her! She kept me intrigued.
Clint Romero - pain in the ass, fickle male, torn between his emotions, and right and wrong!
Renea did a great job keeping my attention page after page after page! I enjoyed this read and look forward to more from Renea in the future!!!
I just finished reading this book. If you love adult romance novels, then this book is for you. The novel is very detailed in romance. I am giving it a 5 star rating...
Please read this book its guaranteed to keep your imagination going if you can picture in your head as you read whats going on in the story. I would recommend this book to my friends and of anyone else that would be interested.
Please do not forget to leave your opinion of the book after you have read it. I'll be buying any books from this author as they come forth. I am already her biggest reading fan.
I don't read many adult books but was asked by Renea to review her book for which I am very pleased she did. I loved the story, it kept you interested all the way through. I particularly liked the way the ending was written with the bad guy being related to the main character, maybe a bit more could of been said about it. Good strong characters and descriptions, loved Andrea and Clint and glad they ended up together.
Murder, Mystery, Suspense! What more can you ask for. Andrea is a field agent for the FBI. She and the team leader end up having a affair. That's all i'm going to tell you about the book. BUT you should grab it and read this. The author did a great job keeping my attention page after page after page! I enjoyed this read and look forward to read book 2
Maybe some enjoy reading descriptive passages but I'm not one of them. I don't need to know every bloody thing; and this novel is just that - overly descriptive. Unfortunate as it mars what could be a good read.
I like exploring genres and subgenres and this often takes me out of my comfort zone. This was one of those reads. This book deals with a married man having an affair with a single girl. Before you judge them too harshly as I wanted to do, it might be worth remembering that if the marriage is strong and your partner is happy, they will have no reason to go looking. Something is broken in the relationship before anybody starts cheating. That's just my personal thought on infidelity.
Okay, on with the review.
Clint Romero is Andrea Cody's boss and heads up a team in a precinct in the Dallas Police Department. He had always been attracted to her and fought his desire and was tormented by his emotions because he was married. His sense of right and wrong was in full swing and it caused him to be downright ruthless with Andrea at times. He was twisted between staying true to the woman he was married to and being with a woman who not only tempted him, but for whom he had real feelings.
Andrea knew Clint was married. It bothered her that he was, yet it wasn't enough to stop her from pursuing him. She went through some tumultuous times and put up with his cruelty and gave back almost as good as she got. With that being said, I got mad at her more than a few times because she was throwing herself at him and thought it was okay that she was staying at his house with his wife there, too. The nerve!
Things take a turn. Clint and Andrea are in pursuit of a serial killer who is brutally murdering and mutilating women. There's a lot going on with this that propels the story that kept me turning pages. The scenes were well-written and interesting and the perpetrator was a total surprise.
I absolutely loved the ending. I wasn't sure how it was all going to work out. I was so moved by it that it nearly brought me to tears. I got choked up a few times during the last thirty or forty pages. Since this is the first book I've read where there's infidelity involved, I didn't know what to expect.
This book is filled with emotion, steam, and suspense. I yelled at both Clint and Andrea a few times, got choked up on occasion, and enjoyed the book overall.
A good read. well written too! sometimes the matters of the heart cannot really be predicted. We try as much as possible to uphold that which we call "moral values" but then the heart goes running & betraying those morals. leaving us panting and wondering what just happened!!! I love the description of the love scenes!! Will definately read another book from this author!!!
