When super-wealthy father of seven Colin Brannigan dies and leaves each of his sons a bequest, Knox Brannigan believes he scored big and best with his legacy—a vintage Indian motorcycle. He’s made a life out of rebelling against his father’s focus on high-powered business and high-powered people, but this time Knox follows the old man’s edict and takes it for a spin up the Pacific coast. When the machine breaks down he brings it to the shop listed in the owner’s manual—the closest place in California that can find the right part and repair the bike. It means three days of loafing at a rundown surfside motel, but that means three nights of getting under the skin—and with hopes, the clothes—of the lovely but disapproving owner of the yoga studio next door.

Erin Cassidy practices yoga to discipline her heart, mind, and body. But all three go wild in the presence of confident, charming, and much-too-handsome Knox Brannigan. She knows his type. He claims to be a part-time bartender but Erin’s sure that’s code for fun, flings, and never settling down. After being burned before, she set strict guidelines about the men she lets into her life. Knox, with his sexy smiles and laid-back attitude breaks every one of them. It’s only three days, she tells herself. If only they weren’t followed by those three steamy nights…

Knox has always been a man who takes his pleasures where and when he can find them and to hell with the rules. Yet when it comes to his feelings for Erin, he discovers he’s much more traditional than he ever imagined. It won’t take deep breathing or mindful meditation but only being in her arms to turn the rebel into a lover.

Knox meets his match in Yoga Girl❤️

Knox has yet to see exactly what his deceased father has left him, after only being given a key with an address. It’s been four months and he decides he’s not feeling quite himself, that he might actually see what the key and address lead to. With his new Indian motorcycle 🏍 , he takes a road trip which ends up being the best decision he could’ve ever made😍

This is my first book by Christie and I absolutely loved the story, the characters and will look to read more by this author in the future❣️

Interesting story and characters, but the least intriguing story in the series so far. The ending is predictable almost from the first chapter.

The story is well written, and the characters are fleshed out, but something is missing.

Fun and full of heart

A great story of love in its many forms between parents and children. Growing in that love to be vulnerable enough to allow someone in. Love these Brannigans

Colin Brannigan was a hard, driven man. After his wife was killed, he threw himself into work, driven to make pikes of money & avoid dealing with his grief. When he was diagnosed with a fast moving cancer, he apparently took stock of his life & tried to make amends in death for the way he treated his 7 sons in life. He has left each son a personal gift that ends up leading them to discover things about themselves.

Knox has felt like he accepted & dealt with his father's death the best of the boys. Just because he's suddenly in a dark place doesn't mean he's depressed. Maybe it's time to go see what his father has left him in the storage locker. What has his dad left him? Will it impact his life the way the other gifts have impacted his brothers?

Erin Cassidy is a yoga instructor that hasn't believed in her personal life in years. She can't understand why she's so easy to leave. Her mother took off & rarely remembers to contact her. Her first "true" love abandoned her in a dingy hotel room Mike's from home after stealing her money & siphoning off her gas leaving her broke & no way to get home. She's decided not to allow anyone into her heart anymore. Until her birthday celebration with her friends that dare her to strike up a conversation with a stranger in a bar/cafe. Sparks fly from the initial conversation which begins with stereotypical pickup lines that turn into a joke between them.

"You, um, look kind of familiar. Did...did we have a class together?" "Maybe so, darlin', because we sure have some chemistry."

"Your lips look lonely. Would they like to meet mine?"

These cheesy pickup lines set the tone for this relationship. They emphasized the nervousness & uncomfortable feelings people experience when they put themselves out there. To me this book showed the journeys that the two main characters had to take to get to this point & learn to trust each other. Erin had to learn to trust herself & that she is lovable. K of had to deal with the grief over losing his dad & realize that someone could love him for being himself. The situations are realistic & applicable to real life. Well, except most of us don't have a wealthy dad turned matchmaker/fairy godmother after his death. The characters are memorable & the BFF's totally made the opening scenes! I laughed at the shout out to Ms. Ridgeways' Rock Royalty series with the Velvet Lemons! I've read the other three books & I'm amazed at how these authors have been able to take a common theme, put their own touches on their individual stories & still have them all flowing perfectly into each other. I can't wait for Max's story!

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes hot, sexy alpha males, sizzling sex, & humor along with their romance. It can easily be read as a stand alone, but believe me, you'll end up going back to read the first three to see how they found their futures.

If there is one thing I've learned from Luke and Hunter is that despite all the drama and the complicated history, love is there hiding in the shadows. Colin, may not have been an easy man to get to know, but he was an astute man when it came to his sons. His personal gifts show his true feelings and go toward healing the rift that his distance created with his family. In death, he succeeds at doing the one thing he couldn't in life. Becoming a good father. Knox, has witnessed Luke settle down. Gabe make a home and Hunter gain a sense of direction by confronting their pasts. While his brothers have open their hearts and found a place to belong, he feels even more alone than ever. Perhaps a precious gift and the open road will open his eyes to what's really important. Hope, heart, healing and family take center stage in the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series. Faith is the belief that something bigger than us is guiding our journey. Each author in this series takes that to heart and with their distinctive voices allow us as readers to discover anything is possible with a a little hope and a whole lot of love.

First let me say, what a great idea, having seven Great Authors collaborate and write a series together, each author gets a brother to write about. What a wonderful way to get read other authors writing style and possibly find a new author to love. This series is about seven brothers whose father died suddenly of cancer and left each of them a special gift which leads them onto an adventure to find their true love. This is the fourth book and Knox's story. I fell in love with Knox and Erin and was hooked from the beginning and read this in one day. Their instant chemistry was explosive. Don't want to give anything away, but there is more to Knox than just a surfer/part-time bartender. As usual, Christie did not disappoint. This is a stand alone book with a HEA, but if you're reading the whole series, I would start with the first book, so you don't miss anything. Can't wait for the next one and Max's HEA. Love Christie's writing and cannot wait to read more of her books.

Christie Ridgway has joined with other authors to write the book series, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. While Knox (Book 4) is the first of the series I have read, I like the entire concept of the brothers with multiple authors writing their stories. Each brother is different so that lends itself to different authors too.
Knox, the main character, is deeper than the façade that he shows to others. I enjoyed how Ms. Ridgway dug deep showing him to be more than just what his pick-up lines indicated. Erin Cassidy calls him on those lines, wanting to see beyond the obvious to see the real Knox. When these two are together the book just lights up. So, it is an understatement to say, I enjoyed the bumpy road these two take in developing a worthwhile relationship.
While it is in many way a traditional romance, it is a hard book to put down which say a lot about the wonderful writing style of Ms. Ridgway. It is a fun read that I can recommend to others.
The author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book.

#4 in the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series. This story features Knox Brannigan who appears to be an easy going fellow who struggles against his father's perception of "you never take anything seriously." Knox inherits a vintage motorcycle which subsequently breaks down and he's stuck till repairs can be made. During this interlude he meets yoga instructor, Erin Cassidy, and sparks fly. Although a predictable romance read, the interactions between the characters was entertaining. I enjoyed the "pick-up lines" and the quick nod to the Velvet Lemons (wink, wink).

I don't often give 5 stars, but this book was just so much fun! I like characters that love life, and both of these characters, Knox and Erin, just have so much fun. Most people who review books tend to look for sentence structure and plot and blah blah blah, but I don't, I read for pleasure and this book was so pleasurable, I had a hard time putting it down and even fell asleep reading it and had to go back and re-read because I couldn't put it down.

If you like sexy characters, fun personalities, just a little angst and happy endings, this is the book for you.

Knox and Erin were wonderful! I had a fun time reading Christie Ridgway's contribution to the series. Ridgway always writes an amazing brooding hero, and her heroines are strong, independent women. Loved Cass and Erin's friends as secondary characters. Quick reference to the Velvet Lemons was fun too!

Surfer, motorcycle and fun times! I just Can't get enough of these sexy brothers!

I recently binge read the entire 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series while on vacation in Hawaii. To me the island of Kauai is one of the most romantic places in the world. So, what better place to read the collaborative romance series of some of my favorite romance authors! I know some of you might be thinking you could find other things to do then read when in Hawaii. But really between the river cruise, and sunset catamaran cruise, snorkeling and trekking through beautiful tropical gardens, there is plenty of time to eat breakfast on your patio, sit at the three tier pool at your resort or just soak up the sun on a not so crowed beach on the island. This romance series by Roxanne St. Clair, Joanne Ross, Christine Ridgeway, Melody Anne ,Ruth Cardello, Barbara Freethy and Lynne Raye Harris, is the perfect island vacation companion (second to my spouse of course!) I admit I might have skipped a few sunsets just to keep reading, much to my brother and sister-in-law’s dismay! After all this was supposed to be a romantic couple get away. Oh but no one writes melt your heart romance like these authors!
I first encountered this series in one of the authors’ newsletters and was immediately intrigued and ordered the entire series right then. It is available on Kindle Unlimited and can be read with your subscription but as my Unlimited was full at the time, I purchased the whole set. Something I rarely do! However, I was anxious to have this set for my vacation.
Two things attracted me to this series. First, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers has to be one of my all- time favorite musicals. My millennial uber-feminist daughter just can’t see the romance in being snowed in on a mountain with 7 men who pretty much kidnapped you in order to “trap” you into marriage! But having been snowed in with her very sexy mountain man father, I can see how love can blossom in some not so great circumstances. I couldn’t resist seeing how these authors handled 7 ultra-independent billionaire brothers finding their true loves in some less than perfect situations.
The second factor that I found interesting was the idea of seven authors collaborating on one series. This is not an anthology of these romance writers novellas or short stories. This is a collaboration where these authors with different writing styles, characterization and romance genres (contemporary, suspense, chick lit etc.) agreed to a specific plot line , characters and how settings, personalities were all going to fit together. I have had personal experience with collaborating with other authors on a novel and the result was less than satisfactory. Of course, I was a young Honors English student and the collaboration was on a school assignment, so my income and career were not at stake. Still it requires a lot of time, interaction and communication between authors. In order to get the plot to be consistent, the interactions between different characters (the one you are responsible for and the others your fellow authors are writing about)to flow seamlessly and the timing between chapters correct can take months of meetings, conference calls, endless sleepless nights and a few strained friendships to get it right. These ladies not only did that flawlessly, they have gone on to collaborate again in 7 Brides for 7 soldiers. And if you can believe their newsletters, they still admire each other and are willing to continue to work together! My own experience with collaboration left me traumatized and afraid to write for years!
The novels are complete with no cliffhangers and thus could be read as stand- alone. I think it is best if you read the series in order starting with book 1 Luke by Barbara Freethy and ending with Finn by JoAnn Ross. Each of the 7 Brannigan Brothers has his own personality, lifestyle and own brand of sexy manhood. Yet, they all share love for their siblings and a brokenness from an early family tragedy. As I said the flawless consistency in the interactions between the brothers from book to book as well as a smooth timeline that is adhered to by each author is amazing. There is more than enough steamy romance in each book without overwhelming the storyline. Each brother comes to terms with his roadblocks to love in a different way and a different setting from Yosemite to Italy. I can see how this allowed each writers’ special style to be showcased. The descriptions of the settings made the books come to life for me and made me feel like I was experiencing the scene with the characters.
Being able to get lost in a book, leaving my own fears, problems and insecurities behind even for an hour or so a day was heavenly. That feeling of timelessness, escape from reality, is to me a mark of great romantic fiction. The authors of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers achieve that in this series! I bet you can't just read one book in this series.

Good book with lots of humor mixed in with the romance. Knox is the fourth of the Brannigan brothers to accept his inheritance from his father and try to figure out what it means. The story opens on New Year's Eve, a few months after Knox's father died. Knox is known as the carefree, fun-loving Brannigan, but lately, he hasn't felt like himself. After a New Year's Day conversation with his brother Max, Knox finally checks out his legacy and is stunned to discover a vintage motorcycle. There's only one thing to do - hit the road and see if he can lose the dark feelings and resurrect his happy self. He stops for a break at a local bar/café, where he meets Erin.

Erin and her two (married) best friends are at the bar celebrating Erin's birthday. They are fussing at her over her lack of a social life. Erin was burned pretty badly by a previous relationship which has left her with some pretty big trust issues. It was fun to see them teasing and pushing her to put herself back out there. Their efforts take a pretty hilarious turn when her pregnant friend really gets into the act, sending Erin to try talking to the hot guy who just sat at the bar - Knox.

The first meeting between Knox and Erin was hilarious. The attraction between them was instant and strong, which flustered Erin. Erin's first words to Knox are taken as a pick-up line, which flusters her even more and amuses Knox. What follows is a very funny exchange about cheesy pick-up lines, and moves on to an evening spent in fun conversation. The sparks between them also flustered Knox, who is a bit surprised at the strength of the attraction. After a superhot kiss, they parted ways, not expecting to see each other again. However, Fate had different plans for them. When his bike breaks down, Knox shows up at Erin's yoga studio, in another very amusing scene, looking for help contacting the repair shop. In an unexpected twist, the owner of that shop is Erin's dad. With the discovery that the bike needs a part that will take a few days to arrive, Knox is stuck in town, and in a perfect position to explore whatever it is that has flared between them.

I really enjoyed the development of the relationship between Knox and Erin. The attraction was instant and strong, which surprised both of them. One of the things I liked best was that neither one tried to deny it was there. Erin is wary, knowing that Knox is not interested in anything permanent and she's had enough of people walking out on her. But as she spends time with him, she realizes that there is more to Knox than his good-time, party animal reputation. I loved how she saw that he was still grieving for his father, even though he couldn't see it himself, and that she helped him see it and deal with it. Knox is continually surprised by how deeply Erin has gotten under his skin. It was sweet to see his patience as he waits for Erin to overcome her fears of getting involved with him. He also senses her insecurities about herself, and his actions when she talked about her mother were great. I loved how he realized the depth of his feelings for her, but in typical man style, he isn't so good about sharing those feelings. She's still trying to protect her heart when his bike is fixed, and can't bring herself to believe that he really wants her. I loved his big moment at the end, and how he enlisted her friends to help him pull it off.

I liked Erin's friends and their husbands and the way that they all connected so easily with Knox. It was pretty easy to see the wheels turning in Knox's head as he got to know them. I loved how he got so involved in helping Erin when her friend when into labor. His natural charm and kindness really came through. I also liked the scenes between Knox and his various brothers as they all deal with their father's death. I love how they grow closer with each book, being there to support and encourage each other.

About the Book:
When super-wealthy father of seven Colin Brannigan dies and leaves each of his sons a bequest, Knox Brannigan believes he scored big and best with his legacy—a vintage Indian motorcycle. He’s made a life out of rebelling against his father’s focus on high-powered business and high-powered people, but this time Knox follows the old man’s edict and takes it for a spin up the Pacific coast. When the machine breaks down he brings it to the shop listed in the owner’s manual—the closest place in California that can find the right part and repair the bike.

My Thoughts:
Girl with baggage snags a win. Knox and Erin both have their issues but their romance lights up the pages.

As their pasts come to the foreground they both have to work through their own emotional turmoil together and are better for it once they realize they are better together than apart.

Its sweet and their relationship is kind of one of avoidance however I liked them as a couple and I liked that it was so deep emotionally because it really captures your heart. Its a little heavy but its a good read.

Knox by Christie Ridgway is the fourth book in a fun new series (7 Brides for 7 Brothers). The books are all written by different authors and all are contemporary romances about the seven brothers and their seven brides. Each can be read alone, but then again why would you?

Knox let everyone believe he was the lazy surfer brother. It was easier that way. So when his Dad left him a vintage Indian motorcycle, Knox is thrilled and decides to take a journey with it to the garage where the bike came from. Little did Knox know that he was about to enter a new journey with the bike and with the yoga instructor who he met at the bar and later when his bike broke down near her house. Little did he know, it was her father’s bike shop where the bike came from and he was stuck. Erin Cassidy turned his world upside down. Knox still has not come to grips with his father’s death and how the family saw him. Perhaps with Erin, he might be able to come into the light about his life.

Knox by Christie Ridgway is a fun read.

When Colin Brannigan died he left each of his seven sons a bequest. He leaves Knox a vintage Indian motorcycle. Knox always felt that his father believed he was not living up to his potential. So he spent most of his life rebelling against him. Since he has been left this vintage motorcycle he decides to take it for a spin up the Pacific Coast. But when the motorcycle breaks down he ends of staying at a surfside motel and meeting a local yoga instructor.

Erin Cassidy practices yoga as a discipline regimen. But meeting charming, handsome Knox will put her discipline to the test. Knox is used to having fun with no strings attached. But meeting Erin has him looking at things with a different angle. Erin knows that Knox is not the type for settling down so she tries to protect her heart. She remembers what happened when she gave her heart before.

Knox is aware of how Erin was hurt before. So will he be able to convince her that what he feels for her is the real thing and convince her to give him a chance?

Family secrets continue

Knox Brannigan is the fourth brother in this series to seek meaning in what his father bequeathed him. He's the low key, easy going surfer dude. But he hides who is really is from his family so expectations don't get too high. Erin Cassidy is a yoga instructor with her own studio, but she's walled herself away from men due to bad experiences. Now that she's met Knox and starting to enjoy her time with him, will Knox feel the same? Knox is a sympathetic character, much to his dismay he goes through the various phases of grief and Erin helps him see the way. In return Knox reveals to Erin what she's been missing in her life. Through this the mystery of why Knox was bequeathed his heirloom is ever present. Erin is a sweetheart and intuitive about those around her but not herself. This is a charming story of discovery and love. I truly enjoyed the characters, plot and conclusion. Now ready for brother Max.

When wealthy Colin Brannigan dies he leaves his son Knox a vintage motorcycle. Knox sets off up the coast of California as his father’s will instructs him to. Unfortunately the motorcycle breaks down and he find the nearest repair shop listed in the owner’s manual. He checks into a motel that has seen better days and settles in to wait for the part to be delivered. Enter Erin Cassidy, yoga instructor and instant chemistry ensues. Erin has definite rules for herself about what kind of men she allows into her life and Knox absolutely does not fit her criteria but, despite that, she decides it might be worth spending time with him. The rest of the story is as entertaining and emotionally rewarding as you would expect a Christie Ridgway novel to be. I loved the book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

The 4th book in the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series is another good entry. Knox is the second youngest. He had a falling out with his dad when he was 21 when his dad told him he didn't take anything seriously. Knox has cultivated that reputation since. His dad left him a motorcycle. Know is riding to the shop listed as a place to get the bike worked on. There he meets Erin Cassidy who is a yoga instructor. She was hurt in the past and for the last 6 years has been focused on friends and her yoga studio. Knox and Erin have great chemistry. Though she's not really the one-night stand kind of girl, Knox can't help himself. With Erin he's able to deal with his grief. She sees him as no one has in past. I really enjoyed this one!

Good Read

Another good read in this series, this is Knox's story his father Colin Brannigan left him an Indian motorcycle when he passed away a few months before and each of the seven brothers was left something different which sent each one on a journey of discovery and to the love of their lives. Knox takes a journey of discovery when he takes the bike out and heads for a cycle repair shop where he thinks he may find some answers and before he realises a beautiful yoga teacher enters his life and takes his breath away. Erin quickly knows that he is a danger to get heart but she can't turn away from him. Love blooms between these two and another Brannigan brother finds his forever. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Fun read

Knox is finally ready to find out what his inheritance is. It is a rare motorcycle. He has decided to hit the road. He ends up in a small town looking for Mickey. Enter Erin being dared by her friends to get out there and meet people of the opposite sex. So the person they picked was Knox. It was fun listening to the one liner pick up lines. Both come from not trusting relationships but the chemistry is off the charts. I loved the ending. I can't wait to see who the next Brannigan brother to fall.

Always having felt his father thought of him as the joker in the family and never to amount to anything, Know is confused when he is left an antique Indian motorcycle when his father passed. Taking the bike out for a long ride ends up with fate at his doorstep when he comes across the small town where the bike was purchased. Secrets are revealed and love becomes something he never knew he was looking for when he falls head over heels for Erin. So far the best out of the series. The true meaning of family really hits home in this book.

This is my first book in the series but I have read many books by this author. I liked the story idea about the brothers each being left a legacy by their father which leads them to love.

Knox gets a bike and his journey on it leads him to Erin. Erin has tried to hide from the pain but Knox won't let her hide from him. The attraction is very strong. I really liked both the characters and their story was very uplifting in the end.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Chemistry: ❤❤❤ ½

Hearing that Christie Ridgway was writing for a new series is what led me to check out the series to begin with but then I got distracted by other things and I'm only just making it back to check out the entry that she had written.

I am really not a fan of the whole "instalove - we touched and now we're in love" theme but once they moved past that the book was enjoyable and sucked me into Knox and Erin's world.

Great series

Surfer dude/bartender meets yoga girl. Knox is the Brannigan brother that everyone assumes only cares about having a good time. Inheriting a motorcycle sends Knox on a road trip where he meets Erin at a bar with her friends. They talk her into practicing pick up lines on him. This is the beginning of another Brannigan brother finding true love. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the brothers find their soul mates.

Bad boy boyfriend for life

Knox is a rolling stone, bad boy now biker after his inheritance and ladies man. While trying to uncover the meaning of his father's bequest he meets Erin. She's wary of him but sees the man behind the facade. Theirs is a torrid affair that leaves Knox wanting more, a first for him. As they help each other face their fears, they also fall in love. Like all the Branigan brothers Knox is good looking and even better in bed.

Unexpected love

I just fell in love with this series!

Knox was an amazing story. I loved how Christie Ridgway wrote about the way grief had struck Knox and how he found love while finding himself.

Everyone is different, but love is the same for everyone.

Amazing job Christie!!

Loved them all so far ...

However, Knox and Erin totally stole my heart!
These two were simply sooooooo much fun!
Wonderful secondary characters. Cass, Erin's dad definitely was the absolute best, and Knox's conversation with Luke, priceless!
Cannot wait to read the rest, but again these two completely had my heart!

Loved it!
